Kent stayed at Tharaburi Resort on 2008-03-05 and said, "This hotel was a pleasant surprise and actually well done with 20 rooms near the old ruins of Sukhothai. Within walking distance if one so desires. There are 5 rooms above the restaurant which would be last sell as the ground floor rooms facing the street are excellent. All different motifs of Asian design and well lit, good hot water and air conditioning that works. The one gentleman on the Front Desk does everything and is very efficient. The breakfast is just fine with three selections (continental, American, Asian)including rice soup with chicken or pork that was excellent. Dinner selection very wide and all that we had was good. I would stay here again when visiting Sokhothai."

It is beautifully designed, the breakfasts were good and all the staff were very eager to please. There s a beautiful pool too, just perfect after a days sighseeing. we ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was excellent. Thoroughly recommended!"

Dinner and breakfast were good. But the hotel was very dirty-furniture,floors, walls, and public areas. Major mosquitos in open air bathroom.Current construction with lots of noise and dust. Should have been warned and discounted room price."

My requests were understood well by the staff and I was surprised to find even a wireless internet for those who can t live without internet (bit pricy 50mins = 3$ but unused time can be used again at another time). Hotel even has a beautiful and large enough swimming pool. The Delux rooms are a welcome change from the other deluxe rooms in that area. Will definitely visit this place again."

When we wanted to watch some of our photo cds in our room the manager installed a dvd player into our room at no extra charge (that s service!). The rooms are gorgeous and asian styled with quite luxurious bathrooms with an open-aired waterfall shower. The restaurant is lovely - food was fantastic! The hotel is very nice looking and resortish. The pool was nice and clean and the rooms smelt clean and fresh. Air con was self controlled. Fully recommend staying here on a visit to Sukothai - nice and close to everthing and they hire bikes out also."

Jana stayed at Tharaburi Resort on 2006-12-14 and said, "This resort was terrible we booked for 3 nights but left after one the staff were surly and unhelpful our room had huge ants in the bathroom and also we woke up with the ants in our beds when we told the staff they just smiled looked at us blankly. None of the services eg: the internet did not work and off cause it was really expensive everything at the resort was really overpriced and there is no way to get around just to go to the falls and get dropped off took major organisation and expense. We thought that we could go on tours from here as everything is located nearby but the cost of the tours were at least 4 x the price they were in town. Stay in town"

Susa stayed at Tharaburi Resort on 2006-11-27 and said, "We got a free upgrade to a bigger room, which was really large for two people. It was nicely furnished and generally clean, at least as long as we did not check in the corners of the ceiling! A general problem during our visit was the air-con in the room, which was very noise and freezingly cold. When turned of on the other hand the room heated up very quickly!Apart from that the staff was friendly and the hotel is relatively close to the historical site. Getting there walking would nevertheless not be feasible, but the hotel rents out bikes (however there are only two of them!). There are also a couple of small restaurants near the hotel, but the distance to the new town is around 12 km. Apparently there are no taxis, but the hotel organised a moto for us to get there.The breakfast was o.k. and the hotel also offered dinner, which actually was quite o.k. as well.Summarising far away from the standard of the large, international hotels as for example in Bangkok, but certainly o.k. for a short stay to visit the historical site."
