Alastair stayed at Supalai Pasak Resort Hotel on 2007-08-07 and said, "Supalai Pasak Resort is a long way from Saraburi town and we found it hard to find, however once on the right route there are direction signs but you have to get to this route first which is not so easy. The resort is set a long way from shops, restaurants etc so if you need to get out and about a car is essential. Checking in was simple and the staff were friendly. This is a resort for Thais as most signs and reading material are in Thai and not many staff spoke English. Having said that as a farang I was not made unwelcome at all. The resort on arrival and for the next 2 days was empty appart from ourselves there were only abouyt another 6 people staying in a huge resort. This place needs lots of customers / corporate hospitality to function at its best and this was apparent on our last evening / morning. The buffet was very good and a large selection of items available. When the resort only had us the breakfast was a typically poor American Breakfast. The grounds in which this resort is located are huge. They are beautifully kept and the accomodation (we had a superior room) were lovely. The swimming pool is the centre of the resort and was very big with a lovely waterfall on the far side. Unfortunately as we were the only people there and it was constantly raining the pool was not as appealing as it could have been. Bikes were available for rent (100B per hour). Around the outside of the resort there is a river and boat excursions are available costing 800B per boat which holds 10 people and last for about 1 1/2 hours. The restaurant was nice and the food good. As we were the only customers the staff were more interested in watching Channel 7 soaps and the large TV s, but their service was ok although some items ordered were forgotten. I culd go on but all in all this is a lovely resort but needs to be busy to operate properly."
