Gabriele stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2007-12-12 and said, "This hotel has had its day. Towels were threadbare and had big holes, no toilet paper supplied and rooms were dark and small. Way overpriced for what is on offer."
Bernhard stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2007-12-02 and said, "We stayed at the hotel from the 2nd to the 4th of December 2008. The hotel staff were friendly and the rooms adequate. The hotel is located on a busy street in the centre of town, so it is easy to get a taxi to visit the Wats. Lots of little restaurants close-by. P.s. Watch out for the mosquitos!!!"
Martin stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2007-10-10 and said, "For anyone above average height (I am 194 cms) you will have to exercise caution as you go up the ramp from the lift to the front suites - shoulder height !!!We changed suites (any other room below this is very ordinary) because the twin beds were way to short - this only took half an hour as the maintenance men were cleaning the air conditioner - which was freezing....The suites were large and comfortable - although no ventilation in the bathroom - no hot water after 2300. A great view of the wall and power transformer with pigeons and pigeon crap knee deep.Breakfast was a waste of time - toast the only sure thing - the coffee was nauseating...The smell in the lifts was straight from the sewer - although they had made an effort to reduce the impact by placing deodorizers in the lift... The entrance and over all appeal of the hotel was ok - it is rated as three star and that is about right. The staff were polite and helpful, l would stay there again."
Laura stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2007-10-09 and said, "The Ayothaya Hotel offers a very good price-performance ratio and I would check in any time again."
Heinz stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2007-06-07 and said, "The rooms had been in very good condition. best aircon of all Hotels we stayed at this holiday. the pool was sometimes very busy but well locked after. Service at arrival and over our stay was friendly. We had a very good time."
Valerio stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2007-05-04 and said, "The hotel was not so bad, but the room could be in front of the main street, being a little noising.. The breakfast in the morning (it was 7a.m.) was NOT ready yet and there were nobody to made hot drinks or foods!"
Andrea stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2007-02-02 and said, "Room for this price was ok; cleaning could be better... ;o) breakfast was simple;staff was friendly; location was very good"
Roussel stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2007-01-26 and said, "Good hotel for the price. Well located in the center of the city. Good restaurant (buffet for lunch). Nice people."
Jana stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2007-01-03 and said, "The hotel smells like toilets it is all through the air conditioning. The pool was not working the whole time we were there. The location is great close to markets, shops, the bus station and heaps of tuk tuks. The hotel would be great if it didn t smell like sewerage and if the pool worked"
Symone stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2007-01-03 and said, "This place was interesting. First of all it is centrally located right on the main street across from the night market and close to a small shopping complex with a supermarket and fast food options. The hotel s lobby looks lovely. The rooms, however, merely adequate. They are very, very small (which wasn t the problem). The bathroom was good with a well working shower. The staff were quite abrupt and rude - except for the restaurant staff. The pool was ok - but lots and lots of pigeons enjoy a bath, drink and the rest in the water and hence there is lots of floating bird poo on the surface. The big problem with the room was the smell coming from the airconditioner. The airconditioning unit was full of mould (and other rooms and to some extent the lobby was like this too) and therefore filled the tiny room with a terrible stench whenever we put it on. The window didn t have a screen so we couldn t open the window or we d be attacked by mozzies - not great. I wouldn t stay here again and we were happy to leave after our two nights. I don t recommend it at all to anyone who feels the heat (and who doesn t in Thailand??)."
Patrick stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2006-12-07 and said, "Ayothaya is a quiet town with most tourists coming as daytrippers from Bangkok. This hotel is low key and its only attraction is its location on the central island within bicycling distance of the ancient ruins. The lobby is quite smart but the rooms are a little threadbare. The AC is just adequate. My room on the 2nd floor had a lot of noise through the floor from the dining room below. For fun I tried a glass of some Chateau Ayuthaya while listening to the dining room hostess sing karaoke songs in Thai. Singing was okay but the wine was awful. Worst problem was there was no water on my last morning. Reception staff said sorry but could not do anything about it."
Daphne stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2006-11-02 and said, "The staff was helpful and courteous, and location is great. But they had the worst bed I have ever slept on in my life. I could feel the springs on my back! And I have a good sample of beds as I have traveled and stayed in more than 50 hotels!"
Prof.Hans stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2006-08-05 and said, "Very good location, supermarket, dining facilities, bank & shops near-by. Value for money."
Abdul stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2006-02-15 and said, "Location is good. In the town area. Within walking distance to the market and bus stn. The hotel is clean with friendly and helpful staffs. I would sure stay at this hotel again when I visit Ayuthayya in future."
Zoe stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2005-12-17 and said, "Very central, across the road from the markets (handy). Easy to get Tuk-tuk from train station and from outside hotel. Room was clean and good."
FOONG stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2005-11-22 and said, "Location is the best attraction of this hotel. Its just opposite the morning street market and bus terminal. Have all the basic essentials and is comfortable. Staff is friendly."
Francisco stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2005-11-18 and said, "We stayed in 7 hotels and guest houses during our travel to Thailand and this was the worst one. I don t mean it was bad. I mean it could be better. No much offer in Ayuthaya, but I m sure there are better hotels in that town (I m sure there are worse too). Rooms need maintenance, The hotel is not well decorated (not decorated at all) and not everything in the buffet was fresh . It was simply OK, no complain, but I wouldn t repeat. I d rate it 5 over 10."
J.Koh stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2005-11-03 and said, "Location is good ... in heart of town with a supermarket nearby & lots of local foodstalls just opposite the hotel for meals. There s also MacDonald/KFC nearby if you want western food. Hotel stay is ok (for 1 nite) cos staff don t understand much English. Room smelt of tired & old carpet. Got lots of mosquitoes around internet corner."
Katharine stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2005-08-11 and said, "An excellent hotel for the price and as described. Had read a negative review on this site but wonder it those people had stayed at guest house of same name by mistake! Clean, efficient, good aircond. and nice pool. Walking distance of old town. Decoration etc of room tired and restuarant eccentric but these in no way imparied qulaity of our stay. Will use agtain if in that area."
Mr.Alberto stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2004-12-14 and said, "Very nice stay, the hotel is quite, clean, people are gentle, also easy to find out. Right on main street of Ayuthaya. Now that I know the city, I think is the best place in town."
Iván stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2004-11-20 and said, "Very friendly staff. The buils is a bit old, but in very good conditions, but our room was face to the street, and in the night was noisy...anyway the service was perfect."
Russell stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2004-04-24 and said, "In the heart of the town and not the tourist area. Felt we were really seeing things as they are. Staff extremely willing to help and always friendly. The pool water seemed a little dark and we were not sure about putting our heads into it. Everything else very clean. Excellent value and recommended."
Robert stayed at Ayothaya Hotel on 2004-02-07 and said, "It was our second time in thailand and we stayed all in all in 8 different hotels/resorts and we always were satisfied. But: I must say that ayothaya hotel is by far the worst hotel i stayed in thailand. The bed linen was not cleaned (!) so i made a reclamation - all they did was to give us another room...the difference - dirty bed linen again and a window which could not be closed completely (nice if it is at a main road !)- and dead bugs under the bed...thats something i do expect in a guesthouse but not in a hotel!"
