JIANG said, "Nice resort but a little far from the Lamei Beach. It s about 10 mins to walk to the town and beach.The room should be better cleaned up and we found trash left in the drawer. I overall enjoyed the stay in Varinda but I would choose others if I came back to Samui again."

Maria said, "This place is lovely. The staff are super friendly, it s spotless and the view from the pool is just gorgeous (though the pool is smaller than the photo suggests). There s also something serene about Varinda, maybe it s the sound of windchimes and the lovely gardens. It s close enough to Lamai to walk to the beach and the action if you like but far enough away for some serious rest and relaxation....I thoroughly recommend this hotel"

Bill said, "Avery quite spot - but I think (in comparison with other resorts in Lamai) very over-priced for what they provide. I checked other much smarter/better located resorts during my visit and they were at least 50% and often more cheaper. They were alos directly on the beach - big draw back with Varinda is the huge climb up a large number of steps. My recommendation - shop around, there are much better deals to be had."

Warrick said, "The hotel was a pleasant oasis set away from the hustle and bustle of central Lamai, yet still within walking distance of all the bars and restaurants. The pool was a welcome relief from the heat and the view from poolside is nothing short of spectacular. The staff are both helpful and attentive whilst not being intrusive. The airconditioning works extremely well in the rooms.On the whole I d recommend this hotel to anyone, an excellent find."

Judith said, "Staff are really lovely here, it is a family run hotel and the restaurant staff are particulary pleasant.We had booked a 2 bedroomed family unit for 28 nights, but when we arrived they showed us to one smallish room with an extra bed, this was totally inadequate as we were travelling with our 17 year old son. After we complained they told us they had made a mistake with the booking and they would upgrade us to two delux rooms. They were new but but rarely cleaned properly, we complained but it didn t make any difference. So we bought our own cleaning stuff to clean the bath etc. We would stay there again but only if we couldn t get any where nearer the beach."

Harriet said, "Nice hotel. Takes only 5-10mins to centre and beach which is what we wanted. Reception closed at 6pm on a saturday night (which i didnt know) and i wanted to get something out of the safe at 9pm. However they did let me get into the safe but I thought it was rather strange to close so early! Gave us 2 free waters when we arrived but they don t restock it. A few ants crawling round the place but didn t really bother us. Room was quite small but very nice. Would stay here again as everyone very friendly, nice pool and good location."

Andriyan said, "We stopped in Varinda Resort for 5 days. It is located on raised surburb Lamai Beach, away from road, in very beautiful, well-groomed to a garden. Territory very pure and beautifully decorated. The garden has many various flowers and living creatures. In the evening in a garden it is possible to observe set of lizards and frogs, the garden is well shined. Behind a garden the permanent care is conducted and cleaning is done. Up to a beach of 10-15 minutes of walking. We lived in Deluxe Room Garden View. The small house was new enough, very spacious, pure, beautifully decorated, with the big terrace. In a house there was a greater convenient bed, a wardrobe, a pier glass, the TV, a refrigerator. Cleaning of a room was made daily, was exchanges the bed-clothes and towels. Phone and safety box were on the reseption, was available Internet. Was given the transfer up to the airport and rent of cars and motobike.Resort has a fine swimming pool with sun desks and towels, with an amazing kind on Lamai, the sea and mountains, near a swimming pool located the small restaurant with a viewing platform. The dishes was attractive enough, only sometimes bring not that you ordered or something forget.Especially it would be desirable to note very benevolent, friendly and sympathetic staff. All employees were very affable, smiling and executive. On all our questions we received exhaustive answers, all our requests were executed instantly. Service was very good.From lacks it is possible to note the following: it is a little noisy from various living creatures in a garden in the evening, can creep bugs and greater spiders in a house.General impression from hotel - very good. At our following visit on Patong Beach we necessarily again shall return in Varinda Resort."

The owners and the staff are very friendly and helpfull. All in all, i can highly recommend this hotel!"

hideaki said, "The place eas lovely. Nice and spacious bungalow, nicely decorated in Thai style surrounded by tropical plants. clean and quiet. Stuff were frendly and helpfull. However, there is a bit of a climb (some 60 narrow & dark stair)from beach/town to bungalow"

Penny said, "We only wished we had the shower had hot water and the room was very spacious. The only bad thing was the bed was quite hard but then everywhere we the beds were hard. The pool was fabulous, we swam in it all day and just looked at the view which was fantastic. The staff were excellent, very caring and spoke very good english. We definitely recommend this resort very highly."
