katarina stayed at Florist Resort on 2008-05-02 and said, "Very nice hotel, the best hotel ever!!We stay in seawiev room, so nice, couldn´t be better.Very clean hotel and hotelstaff very kindly and good service. The hotelrestaurant very good food, real thai and cheap.Location of hotel was good near beach and near good beachreataurant. Very quiet and soft place.We enjoyned this trip very much and we will go back to this VERY NICE HOTEL as soon is possible!!"

Valeria stayed at Florist Resort on 2008-03-30 and said, "Very nice hotel, rooms look just they are on the pictures here, our Standart was very good, just A/C a bit noisy. There are two pools - one small for children between two hotel buildings, and the other one 20m long between other two buildings, but there is no pool with see view as it was said here. The restaurant is very small, just about 6-7 tables, so if the hotel will be more than a half booked it would be no free place near pools or in a restaurant. It s a nice place for people who just want to have quiet vacation without nightlife."

DYUSENKUL stayed at Florist Resort on 2008-02-24 and said, "We tried 2 types of rooms in the hotel: Superior and Seaview. Both of them were excellent, towels were changed every day, as well as general cleaning was made.Staff was really friendly and helpfull but actually their English was not too good but acceptable.Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was included in the price and it was very good.Overall food in the restaurant was tasty and cheap, but unfortunatelly no fresh seafood was offered.The only disadvantage of the hotel was the gutter located approximately 200m from the hotel on the beach, during the rainy weather some water coming from the road was in that gutter and subsequently got into the sea which is not good.In spite of this we liked the hotel very much and we ll definitely come back here again."

AYA stayed at Florist Resort on 2008-02-10 and said, "We stayed the DELUX room but it was not Delux,just new room.I think that a price is high for those facilities.The resort slightly noisy because a building next to the hotel was under construction. but,it will be quiet if construction is over.Hotel staff is friendly.This hotel is the developing inside, I think that improve from now on."

Glendon stayed at Florist Resort on 2008-02-08 and said, "This is a nice little hotel. Its about a 5 min walk to the heart of Maenam. We stayed in a Standard Room which was great...partial ocean view from the big balcony. The resturant was only really in operation for free breakfast, and the bar had been closed down. Still, not to worry plenty of eating places around either on the beach or in any of the streets. The hotel grounds are nice with 2 great poolsand the swiiming in the ocean is ok there too. Can also hire a motorcylce for 200 BT a day. Overall very happy with the hotel and staff...would reccommend"

Bruer stayed at Florist Resort on 2008-01-30 and said, "a very nice ressort. the seaview suitewith a big terrace is great. for the last three nights we moved to romm 302.it was also fine. 3 swimming pools at the ressort. only a few steps to the beach, which is not overcrowded. only problem: sometimes not enough sun loungers. if we come back to samui we will stay there again"

Catherine stayed at Florist Resort on 2008-01-20 and said, "We had a wonderful stay in the New Deluxe suites at the Florist Resort in January of this year. Great facilities, gorgeous pools, very friendly service. Rooms were cleaned everyday to a good standard. Resort was nice and quiet with no children running about which was just great. Pickup from airport was all organised through Sawadee and someone from the resort was waiting for us when we arrived. Would stay here again for sure. Maenam beach is very pleasant and quiet."

Andrew stayed at Florist Resort on 2007-12-21 and said, "Florist Resort was wonderful. We only spent 1 night at Florist Resort but wishes we d stayed for longer. The pools were great. The resort was on the beach. The rooms were great. Good beds and clean. The people were friendly and made our stay very pleasant. Some of the resort is still under construction but you wouldn t notice it."

Paul stayed at Florist Resort on 2007-09-18 and said, "Stayed for 13 nights , room very clean and modern ( great value ) cleaned everyday , pool great . nice quiet hotel just off the main road ( couldn t hear traffic ) within easy distance of bars and restaurants ( all very cheap ) beach great only one downside was the restaurant/bar at hotel ( needs to be updated )otherwise a great holiday... thankyou to all at the Florist !!!"

Katie stayed at Florist Resort on 2007-08-19 and said, "We only stayed one night at the Florist, but found the staff very helpful, the hotel cute and the restaurant food tasty. It is a very convenient spot if you are going to or coming from Koh Phangan and taking the Thong NaiPan taxi boat from Maenam pier, as the Florist Resort is right in front of it. The water was good to swim in and the beach a little more on the crowded side as far as the Maenam beaches go. Would probably stay again, but might pay the extra for the Superior Deluxe room as the amenities in the Deluxe are pretty basic."

We had the cheaper type of room and it was great, upstairs with a balcony viewing the sea through the palm trees. The food at the restaurant was excellent, even if the staff were a bit indifferent. Would visit again."

Susan stayed at Florist Resort on 2007-07-20 and said, "me and my partner stayed in the florist for 4 nights... it was a beautiful place. i actually cannot find one fault with the place.. the new deluxe room was perfect and the cleaning staff kept it spotless... the swimming pool was a delight.. and the beach is right on our door... the nearest shops is only few steps..at the time there was building but not once did it disturb us.... id give it a 5/5"

Hordur stayed at Florist Resort on 2007-06-14 and said, "The Hotel is great. The staff is absolutely amazing. Their english isn t great but they make up for that by being great. Though the Hotel was under construction at the time of our stay it was hardly noticable except for the occasional drilling sound that wasn t that often. A great hotel. Totally worth the money."

Elisabeth stayed at Florist Resort on 2007-06-03 and said, "Very nice hotel on Maenam beach. We stayed in the seaview suite which is fabulous. It is on the second floor (on top of the office of the manager) with a huge terrace with a table and two triangle pillows. 2 pools (one small and a very nice larger one), beach in our view one of the best on Koh Samui. We were here in low season, could be a little bit crowded in high season, as the beach is not very big (but thats just a guess). The restaurant is just ok at most - food ok, staff very bored and not really friendly. But the next two restaurants are very good, especially the grand sea view restaurant with extremly friendly staff. The only negative is that sometimes there is a bad smell as about 50 meters away (between the two mentioned restaurants) there is a gully, which sometimes is overflown...We would definately stay here again (were on the same beach 4 years ago in a different resort), as Maenam is a very quiet place (no action at all, shops close at 9 pm), and the sea is deeper that on most other beaches). If you like action - dont even think about Maenam..."

Lucy stayed at Florist Resort on 2007-04-07 and said, "The hotel is clean and well designed and the rooms are clean and simple. However the beach is not particularly nice. There were quite a few dogs/cats and what seemed to be an open sewer right next to the hotel on the beach! However there are loads of great cheap places to eat along the beach and if you are backpacking i think it is fine. Overall we were very disappointed in Koh Samui. But Koh Tao made up for it!"

KJ stayed at Florist Resort on 2007-02-25 and said, "We stayed here in Feb 2007. Very nice rooms, nice and helpfull staff and a lovely pool. We stayed in a superior room . Nice and clean room with a big bathroom. We rented a bike for 200 thb/day. The beach is not the best in Koh Samui but its ok. I would definitley recommend this resort."

Litke stayed at Florist Resort on 2007-02-12 and said, "Nice garden with beautiful pool but beware of the rooms in the basement! Habe to be remoldet a.s.a.p., also sheets are changed daily but habe never been really clean!!! The curtain in the bathroom is really ugly and seems unhealty...Staff isn´t able to speak english."

Carl stayed at Florist Resort on 2007-01-27 and said, "Great place. We had a wonderful holiday here and would definitely recommend it to others. We stayed in the New Deluxe Room for 10 nights and then had to move to the Deluxe A/C Room for the final 4 nights (not our choice by the way). The New Deluxe rooms are really nice and well maintained. The Deluxe A/C Rooms are also nice, just a little smaller and older. Rooms were cleaned and towels changed every day. Location is great - right on the beach. The bar/restaurant is really cool and chilled out, but if you don t want to eat here every day there are loads of restaurants in walking distance.Overall the resort is nicely designed and has a really cool, laid back feel to it. Perfect for couples after a quiet time. Its right on Maenam beach which is much quieter than Chaweng, which was perfect for us. If you feel the need for a wilder time or a bit of an adventure its easy enough to get around Samui. We just wanted to relax and do nothing and thats exactly what we did. Many thanks to Jit the owner and Mike the manager who are both lovely people and very helpful. Particular thanks to Me and Miao who ran the restaurant. They made our stay extra special and became good friends. We will come back next year."

Norbert stayed at Florist Resort on 2007-01-10 and said, "My wife and me booked a new deluxe room over sawadee for 10 nights.After a long trip about 22h we arrived late night at the florist. And I tell you, we were really impressed and surprised. The rooms are very nice furnished, absolut clean and the bathroom is so lovely installed, with decoration and everything you need. The aircon is as calm as you can t almost hear it. At daylight you can see why they call the resort the florist : beautifull blossoms, plants and banana trees for selfservice in a very good shape. We called it paradise.The restaurant very close to the beach get the next compliment, cause the owners and the staff made wishes reality. Doesn t matter what we wanted or what we asked for, they managed it.(Best regards to Joe and his frieds.) The kitchen of the restaurant ist very creative and tasty like I never had before, water is running in my mouth when I think about the BBQ. At last I like to say a big Thank you to Mike from the travel agency which is integrated in the florist. If you like to book a trip or a flight or rent a bike, anyway. Mike and his wife will and can help you. They did a great job. Hi Mike, hope your family is well. Donna stayed at Florist Resort on 2006-12-21 and said, "We stayed in the Florist Resort for two weeks and had a wonderful time. Rooms where clean and Spacious. Staff were very friendly and always on hand to answer any questions. In general very helpful. Location was perfect close to shops, restaurants and more importantly we were on the beach. We had a fantastic time and defiantly would go back and stay at the Florist Resort again."

Lasse stayed at Florist Resort on 2006-12-13 and said, "Beautiful with some setbacks. Location right on the beach. Our room (sea view suite) was very tasteful and big. A big balcony with a potential of a stunning view facing the beach. Big refrigerator & TV. BUT the bed was stone hard and uncomfortable (unless you like hard beds) almost like sleeping on the floor. The view facing the sea was partly blocked by great numbers of cables that supplied other buildings with electricity. But if you stay in another apartment you don’t have this “problem� Staff was really wonderful. So friendly and always happy doing everything they could to help you. You can really feel the family atmosphere. Since breakfast isn’t included you should try “You & me restaurant�ore “Twin sisters�across the street. Beside breakfast these restaurants serve great Thai food for about 80-150 bat a dish. If you want something cheaper & not so well presented you should try just crossing the street from the resort (beside the furniture shop). Here a lunch for 2 persons cost about 150 bat, and the food is GREAT."

Adam stayed at Florist Resort on 2006-12-04 and said, "myself and partner stayed here for 4nights and wished we stayed 4 more.the staff are friendly and the rooms are very clean and smell fresh. the pool area is amazing and only a few steps is the sea! well worth every penny!"

Burgess stayed at Florist Resort on 2006-07-21 and said, "The resort was lovely, and would have been even better if it was finished! We picked the resort because of the great picture of the pool on the web site. After reading reviews here, we emailed ahead and asked if all the construction was finished, and we were told it was. The day before we went, we rechecked the web site, and all the pictures had been mysteriously removed. However, when we arrived, the pool was unusable as they were half way through tiling it. Luckily, there was a second (very small) pool and the beach was very close. Checking the web site again on our return, it now says the pool is under construction! The room (new deluxe) was wonderful, like a boutique hotel but at a fraction of the price, with tasteful decor and a great bathroom. The staff were very helpful, and waiting for us on arrival. The housekeeping was a bit erratic, with random numbers of towels and toiletries arriving each day. Sometimes they opened the balcony doors to collect a towel and forgot to lock them again. The restaurant was also variable, some days being given some free fruit to try, others paying over the odds for a set breakfast where not all the items arrived. All in all, when they finish the pool and sort out the oddities, it will be a fantastic place to stay!"

Brid stayed at Florist Resort on 2006-07-20 and said, "We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. When we arrived there was someone to meet us at the airport. We stayed in the Seaview Suite and though the pictures on the website may have been from a few years ago the room was lovely, spacious and overlooking the sea. The staff were always polite and friendly and made us welcome. The beach is beautiful and quite and there are many other places to eat along the beach in the evening. Maenam is a nice town but you do need to rent a motorbike to get round the island. Don’t know what the other rooms were like but I would recommend the Seaview suite as value for money when you compare it to other prices. We meant to only stay 3 nights but ended up staying 6 nights."

CHENG stayed at Florist Resort on 2006-06-03 and said, "It is not easy to find the location,a valuable resort, have 2 swimming pool, the seaview suite is wonderful, a quite place for honeymooners, sure come back again. Dinner go outside opposite the junction You & Me is very very delicious."

Steve stayed at Florist Resort on 2006-04-11 and said, "Stayed at both Maenam Beach and Chaweng Beach. Florist resort had far better accomodations for comparable price range. Very nice rooms and bathrooms. Room was steps from beach. Nice pool. I felt it was a more comfortable atmosphere than Chaweng but the drawback was less of a nightlife."

Martin stayed at Florist Resort on 2006-03-04 and said, "This was a very nice little resort. Set back from the busy main road down a small dark track ( which was no problem for us)backing onto Maenam beach. The room I had was very spacious( No 4)unfortunately the aircon was not working to well but had seating both inside and a balcony outside which made up for that. All the staff including the owner were very helpful with a pleasant attitutude.The only criticism I have and it was major, is that despite Sawadee s assurances that all building work had been completed next door (2FT from my room) they had builders working eveyday morning till evening which was unbearable. And to be honest was not acceptable when your trying to relax with a hangover. When thats all finished it should return to the simple sleepy little resort it promises to be."

George stayed at Florist Resort on 2006-02-20 and said, "The owners and staff were outstanding hosts. My wife and I stayed 7 nights in their seaview suite, and the room was exacly as described in sawadee. The beach was cleaned every morning. We shall be booking this hotel again, but the next time it will be for at least 14 nights!!!!!"

Colin stayed at Florist Resort on 2005-12-14 and said, "Oh dear, the taxi from resort did not turn up, had to pay for an airport taxi which dropped us of in the wrong place and disapeared ! the resort is not the one we fell in iove with on the webb site.The room was very poor and damp, breakfast was on a building site so was reception. We booked for 20 days and left after 2 !! Maybe it will be nice once its finished ."

Jürgen stayed at Florist Resort on 2004-08-25 and said, "staff seemed to be a bit apathetic towards the guests, but for those who can do without friendly staff: the place ist okay, nice view from the beach restaurant, although the offer said free pickup-service from the airport when staying more than three nights I had to pay 200 Baht in advance on arrivel and had to explain the offer to the staff, until I got my money back finally"

kerry stayed at Florist Resort on 2004-08-24 and said, "Me and my new husband had 4 days in the florist s Thai House. fantastic place to stay for the first few days of our travels. Staff very friendly, breakfast very nice. The Thai house was lovely. very large with a huge decked area outside and bath ! small but lovely pool. would highly recommend this place. lovely restaurant next door called Talay - great food !"

Laura stayed at Florist Resort on 2004-06-22 and said, "The hotel was a bit difficult to find (but that was probably because we arrived at night and the path from the main road was not lit). The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the view over the beach from the restaurant was really nice.We stayed in the seaview suite, which was beautiful, and had a really good view of the beach and Koh Pha Ngan from the also beautiful, private balcony/terrace."

Excellent way to have the best of both worlds for couples, families or single travellers. Great food, excellent prices and terrific atmosphere. 10 mins from nightlife or beautiful waterfalls and temples. Will definately be back for another stay with the gentle, generous caring staff. Matt stayed at Florist Resort on 2004-01-07 and said, "I will start by saying that the accomodation at the Florist was of a reasonable standard but this is where it ended,the very first day they tried to tell us the room we booked was not available and we would have to stay and pay for the most expensive room.We wouldnt have this as it was apparent they were trying one on.They let us stay in the room till one was available in our price range after a heated discussion.The next day we were naturally out all day returning about 10pm,we noticed that the control for the air con had been removed.We hit the sack early only to be woken at 11pm by a very rude person telling us we need to pay 1400baht to stay or shift immediately,half asleep we moved to our originally booked room,to find it stripped of the tv which was included in our room price.We later saw it in a cupboard near reception.It was a very petty thing to do and as we were escorted to our room the young son of the owner appeared ready for a fight when i told him how rude this was.We had no worrys going to this room it was the manner in which it was done,they could have pinned a note on our door or just done it with some tact.We ended up moving next door to Koseng 2 and they were lovely and cheaper.No one we talked to had anything good to say about the florist even the taxi driver when we originally turned up could hardly speak english but laughed not a good laugh when we told him where we were staying.Think twice about staying here and tell your friends there are heaps of places to stay and lovely peope to welcome you......Stear clear!!!!"
