Ekaterina said, "Almost 40 bucks for simpliest bungalow with smelly walls and wet bathroom. Too hot at days and at nights (fan doesn t help). Beach is dirty and swimming is unpleasant.On the other hand, it s a good and cheap choice for Lamai beach. Very good and cheap restaurant is near (and it s not a common thing on Samui). Ocean as near as it s possible. Stuff is friendly and helpful."

Svetlana said, "The hotel is small, but cosy, 10 min walk from the Lamai centre. We lived in a bungalow with a fridge, TV and a fan. The rooms were clean with all necessary things. The staff was friendly. Thank you so much! It was the best holiday. I ll recommend this hotel to anyone."

MARK said, "My second stay in three months, this time for a week in beachfront bungalow with tv & fridge. It s on the quieter northern stretch of the beach, which I prefer but still within easy reach of the centre of town. The owners are really friendly and personable, rooms and gardens are nicely kept, I would not hesitate to recommended."

ZHOU said, "We were not able to swim in the sea since it s very shallow near the beach. We were staying in the banglows on the beach and we could listen to what people are talking about in the next room. We were not able to sleep until mid-night due to noise from next room and the traffic in the road. The remote control for the AC doesn t work, you have to turn on/off the AC manually in the AC on the wall."

SN said, "We had a bungalow on the beach and it was really great! The bungalow itself was perfect, and so was the view. The people of Surat Palm Resort were very friendly. We had a wonderful time at Surat Palm Resort."

Thomas said, "The beachfront room was allright. Very spacious and clean. Nice stuff. The reason why I want to comment this hotel is not a problem with the hotel but we had a big problem with the area:In this area of the beach there is a terrible smell hanging in the air. It is because of a stinky river, more a kloake going here in the sea. We could not sit outside, you can t swim in this area in the sea and if you want to walk at the beach you have to cross this river. Terrible. We changed the resort."

Steve said, "Three comfortable air con rooms in one building right on the beach. Walls a bit thin: We could hear everything in the next room, even normal conversation.Beautiful vista. The sea was a bit shallow for swimming though.A few beachfront rooms with fans quite pleasent. The sea view rooms were crowded together behind the beach front. Avoid cabin 20! It overlooks a polluted side channel and a pile of rubbish! We enjoyed our stay and would go again. The people are helpful, the food is OK, it s the quet end of the beach just a few minutes walk down the beach to livley beach front bars."

Ulrika said, "Cheap but not nice bungalows, mostly the bathrooms. But we you pay for is what you get so...We had booked two bungalows but one stinked som much that we had to sleep in one. We left earlier."

Susan said, "The women at the office were very nice and helpful. The restaurant was so-so although the ladies were very nice. It s not on the beach anymore and only serves until 5pm. Location is quiet - not near main area of Lamai. Rooms were ok for the price"

Gibellini said, "Very good ( and cheaper )choice ; my nicely wood bungalow beachfront it s large and have a good bed , magnificent balcon on the beach for relax . Other bungalows not beachfront more small . The AC not necessary in this season , the fan it s ok . Not luxury but efficent .Nicely people his work . Only the lights very poor ( I have changed the lamp , eheheh ) . It s possible to arrange here motorbike or car , and everything tourist services . Good beach . Only 10 minutes to walk at Lamai Town centre .Very good permanence .Thank you"

Andrew said, "The Surat Palm was clean, directly on the beach and very affordable. It is about a 15 minute walk into the main area of Lamai, but there are beach front restaurants and pubs within a 5 minute walk. Everything was fine and I would not hesitate to return."

Mrs.Alonso said, "Woodlands InnThe hotel was dirty.And while I took a shower the whole family cockroaches came into the badroom.No warm water.We didn t got the room where we asked for.We checked out immidiatly.I do not recommend the hotel to anyone."

Christoph said, "We had been disappointed about all of Lamai-Beach, because its too noisy. The Surat Palm Resort is nice, but directly located to the main road! In the night you hear the traffic in your bedroom. We went away on the second day, albeit we did pay in advance for one week."

Michael said, "Basic, clean, tidy. I asked for a beachfront bungalow and thats exactly what I got. Very quiet and no excessive noise after dark. The reception people were polite and helpfull as were the staff in the resturant. I would be happy to stay there again."

Pernilla said, "Simple but clean bungalows. We had a beachfront bungalow, right at the beach. Located in north Lamai beach, which is really quiet. 10 minutes walk to central Lamai on the beach."

Chris said, "A small, quiet resort right on the beach. About a 15 minute walk to the busy part of Lamai. Staff were helpful and friendly but take the room key with you as reception closes early."
