The pool is nice but it is a bloody long way up the hill to get there. You will find better for the same money. OP Bungalows at Chaweng are really nice in this price range."

Linda stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2008-03-06 and said, "Nice bungalows. The are located in a hill, you had to have very good condition to walk up and down several times a day.It s very close to chaweng centrum so it s very loud music to LATE every night.Big nice pool on top of the hill fine wiev."
Kevin stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2008-03-03 and said, "Have stayed at Baan Suan Sook 3 times in 3 years Never a problem Bungalows are large and comfortable and nice large balcony ( remember the mosquito repellant though)Sometimes TV reception is a bit fuzzyStaff Service is excellent and always friendlyThe Pool at the top is superb Food is very nice and have great Thai food for Thais as wellResort has always arranged my bike hire ..reasonably priced and quick Good location to markets and shops ..easy walk into Chaeweng shopping/eating areasExcellent views and excellently priced"
Terri stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2007-12-31 and said, "The accommodation was a bungalow on a side of a mountain/hill which involved a number of steps to climb, so if you aren t that fit you may find it a little challenging, although if you ask reception you can get a ride to the bungalow you are staying at. The bungalow was nice, we had a balcony, kitchen, hot water shower room and double bedroom with cable TV with English channels. Very clean and a fabulous view of Chaweng Lake and the sea. The pool was at the very top of the resort, climbing those steps in the burning sunshine can take it out off of you but I didn t mind at all once I hit the swimming pool the view was amazing and the pool looked as if it blended in with the lake. Not very many sunbeds as there wasn t room for them but it made it more private and it was very quiet. I can not fault the staff, they were very pleasant and very accommodating, we were only booked in for 2 nights and wanted to stay for 2 extra nights, there wasn t any room at the inn so they booked us in at their other hotel The Baan Saen Sook which was 5 mins down the road at a special discount, they also took us there on the day of check out. The one thing I did like was the fact whenever we needed to go anywhere the hotel would take us. I would also recommend the Baan Saen Sook, it s very new and the bungalows are fabulous, although it s a little out of the way and has no pool but again the staff were great!"

Paul stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2007-07-06 and said, "Stayed in sea view room B2 during July 2007. Great view. Quiet location. A short steep climb to the beautiful pool area. The rooms are on a hillside which requires walking up a hill. So a degree of physical fitness is required. Room was clean and a good size. maid service everyday. Shower, bathroom, Sat Tv all ok. shuttle service into Chaweng around 5 mins drive or hire a motorbike from the friendly owner and staff. I would definately return here.Paul. England."

Nick stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2006-01-29 and said, "Had a really nice stay at Baan Suan Sook, the staff were fantastic and the bungalows were clean and quiet. A bit away from the beach but with a free taxi provided by staff this wasnt a problem. Koh Samui is great and theres loads to do there - Look out for the Thai boxing vans in Chaweng, they re hard to miss!"
ruth stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2006-01-11 and said, "My fiance and I have stayed at the Baan Suan Sook resort on two seperate occasions. Although the resort is outside of town it is only a 10-15 minute walk to the beach which helps to burn off those holiday pounds! Only problem this time was we were at the top of the resort and its quite a steep climb- not pleasant after an evening out on the chang! Overall- lovely place and the owners do more than enough to ensure the comfort of guests."
Mr.Simon stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2005-12-24 and said, "Nice hotel, will go back.... very good location, just slightly away from the main tourist area, so you can relax a bit more. But only 5 mins away in taxi / motorbike if you want all that.Spacious, clean, tidy rooms. The pool is situated at the top of the resort with excellent views right across Chaweng Bay... and good size also.Friendly staff, family run resort... very helpfull.Just a few negative points - no room service, bar/food service by pool is very limited. Resort is situated on a very steep hill side so a bit of challange sometimes to get to the pool or your room depending where it may be situated (especially after a night out).... not so bad if you have a motorbike!"
Robert stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2005-12-02 and said, "In peaceful spot just outside the noisy areas of Chaweng. Good facilities and services, room clean if a little basic."
rachel stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2005-10-01 and said, "spent 4 nights in the resort, the rooms are o.k. for the price (900b), the breakfast is o.k., the shuttle service to the beach and center is very helpfull since the resort is far from the beach. the pool is a dream , unbelivible. look out for the matrass, ours was very not comfortable to sleep on!"
Denis stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2005-09-02 and said, "The resort was clean, well organised etc, pool facilities are lovely, although the steep hill up to the pool is something to see, resort is a little bit outside town (10min walk) but there is a free shuttle into town. Altogether a nice place to stay"
Liv stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2005-07-27 and said, "We stayed at the Resort for 9 days with our 2 boys ( 15 and 19 years). The oldest boy are handicapped. We had a very nice bungalow with wiev over the lake. All the staf was so friendly, helpsome and nice! They helped us with everything we wanted. The swimmingpool on the top is just exellent. Breakfast fine. We have rented a car, but it was easy to get to Chaweng anyway. We will stay at Baan Suan Sook Resort the next time we get to Koh Samui. And a big kiss to the lovely lady, who clean our room, from Kristoffer! Thanks for a lovely time at Baan Suan Sook Resort from: René and Liv and Kristoffer and Frederik from Denmark."
Morten stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2005-07-16 and said, "We had some nice days at Baan Suan Sook. It is nice and clean, the swimming pool is good - and the view from the pool is fantastic. The place is located some distance from the beach, but the people running the resort is very helpfull in driving you to the beach - it is only a 10-15 minuttes walk."
Lee stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2005-05-06 and said, "I like this hotel because very clean bungalows and Big clean swimming pool with nice view over Chaweng. Good breakfast, good service and nice staff This hotel anytime have car go to Chaweng Beach and Lamai Beach but go back you must pay 100THB to taxi or pay Tak Tuk 40THB,Hotel opposite left hand side have a good restaurant. The food good taste and cheap.Next time If I go to Koh Samui.I will be at Baan Suan Sook. My best recommendation"

Phil stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2005-04-08 and said, "7 of us (including 3 children)stayed in 4 bungalows. Accommodation was basic but ok. People were lovely and cooked us all a meal on our last day. Could not have been more helpful, especially Phi the receptionist who saw us off at the airport. Swimming pool was lovely at the top of the hill but no shade. Very clean, excellent service, would definitely recomend. Fellowship bar over the road was great - say Hi from Jess & Jack if you go."
Rickard stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2005-03-23 and said, "Very nice bungalows and a lovely pool with nice view over Chaweng. Good breakfast, nice staff and clean room.My best recommendation./Rickard from Sweden"
cathy stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2005-03-12 and said, "Basic but spotless rooms, lovely groundsvery helpfull and pleasant staff, fantastic swimming pool.10 mins walk from Chaweng beach.Food basic but good. No hesitation in recomending. But be warned on quite a steep hill although staff will give you a lift at anytime.Located close to all amenities. Great little bar across the road called the fellowship, worth a visit."
Esther stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2005-03-12 and said, "Reasonably comfortable and not bad if you don t mind a 10 min walk into Chaweng main street. However our room was close to the road and very noisy overnight - take ear plugs! Nice new pool at the top of the resort with a decent lake view. Breakfast isn t anything to get excited about. Staff friendly, but English not too good."
Laura stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2005-02-02 and said, "Simple rooms but after a stay in Ko Phan Ngan was absolute luxury - hot water, air con, fridge with minibar and spotless. Cleaned every day too! The hotel is about a five minute drive to central Chaweng and the staff have no problem dropping you in - taxi back 100B. Has great pool which is up the top of the hill. Bit of a steep walk but worth it! Hotel has restaurant opened 7am - 10pm however during lunchtime especially if cook is not there you have to go into town to eat. Had basic Thai menu and no deserts or starter dishes but food was great. Seemed to be two people in charge, a man and a woman. The man wasn t the friendliest and argued with me about my booking - first night we had a twin room even though I had requested a double. This was sorted the next day but I was asleep with a headache when I was woken up by the manager and told to move NOW because he had another room and had guests arriving NOW for the room we already had. However, the female manager was fantastic and couldn t do enough to help us and even came out to say goodbye to me after my husband collected our bags from reception. All in all a great place to stay, a little out of the way but great value for money compared with what is on offer in the main area."
David stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2004-11-02 and said, "Fairly basic rooms etc. but could not have had a better service from the staff. Quiet location but close to main nightlife area"
Pattarada stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2004-10-19 and said, "Very nice place, room are clean and large. The swimming pool is at the top of the hill with a nice very good view. Realxing in pool was great (also pool for children). Bungalows are good also, if you have to go up the hill you can ask free transport by car at reception but take only 2 min by foot. Lot of animals in garden. The thai restaurant is good also, cheap and clean. If you need to go Chaweng you can ask reception to bring you there, and to come back it take you only 5 min. Next time If we go to Koh Samui. We will be at Baan Suan Sook."
Christina stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2004-08-27 and said, "Though this place is a little distance away from the chaweng beach (u need a jeep, or u can get a taxi-motorbike, or just a normal cab), it has a beautiful pool at the top of a hill overlooking the lake. It s amazing when fireworks go off at night! The bungalow we stayed at was spacious and comfortable. The staff at the reception are friendly and always ready to help!"
Trond stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2004-08-07 and said, "Baan Suan Sook Resort is located 5 min. walk from Chaweng, far away enough to be peaceful, close enough not to be a problem. The staff offer to drive you to Chaweng anyway, so location is not an issue. Staff are polite, friendly and service minded (they even drive you to the pool!) If I ever go back to Koh Samui, I d probably end up in Baan Suan Sook Resort, so I have no problem recommend it to anyone else."
Jens-Uwe stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2004-02-04 and said, "What a fantastic resort! If you don´t mind being far from the beach, go for it. The low price allows for a rental motorbike, even for a full month. The new pool is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen and you surely would not expect something like this in a resort in this price category. Very important: this resort is animal-friendly!"
Tomi stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2004-01-03 and said, "Me and my 2year old girl did like the place.."
Chrys stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2004-01-03 and said, "Not the best accomodation during our visit to Thailand. Out side our room we had loads of chickens/cockrels which made it impossible to sleep during our stay. broken shower which made it impossible to enjoy a nice shower to winde down. Not to environment we expected in relation to the lake. A long walk or short taxi ride to the main strip."
Allan stayed at Baan Suan Sook Resort on 2003-12-13 and said, "Located on a hill side at the lake west of Chaweng Beach. Idyllic and quiet. Had booked a 2 Room Bungalow, which we got, but this was not good - out-dated. Looked around and found newer Bungalows higher on the hill side (same Resort)and no problem to change. This was brand new (B4), with a larger Terrace and even cheaper ! Staff very friendly and helpful in every way. I am a coffee drinker and a water heater was supplied immediately when asked. Cheap laundry. Arranged a Jeep at lower price than I could get elsewhere. They are presently building a swimming pool on top of the hill side. Very nice and cheap, but own transportation needed to get around."
