Wong said, "I don t recommended this hotel because the cleaners go through our stuffs and steal some money in the luggages. In the night, there are many frog on the way to go the room and they make noises all night.the way to go each room is very incline.the swimming pool is not very big."
ZHOU said, "the room is very big and special. but the bathroom may be a litter dirty. and there isn t free water in room. everthing in room need money."
Zahid said, "we really enjoyed our stay in this hotel .had the wooden bunglow on top of the hill beautiful view of lamai beach. staff though hardly speak english but they were very pleasant and caring. intially booked standard room but they are crap did not have any curtains and that was 10 pm when we arrived they did not have any other room at the time had to atgued with the assistant manager he wanted extra money for upgrade to wooden bunglow but at the end after phoning the manager he agreed for free upgrade for that night. nice quite and poeacful place will stay there again"
Gassner said, "We had a wonderful stay in Serene Hill.Everything was like it was promise.Very nice bungalow and pool situation.Only the main road of Koh Samui is very close to the resort and too loud .This should be written in the description."
Michael said, "We spacy, the resort is very nice and situated in a tropical garden. Staff was very friendly. The only thing you could complain about was the breakfast - the variety of things is not too big and - like nearly everywhere - adapted to the needs of the English/ American guests with sausages, scrambled eggs,... But I would stay there again, I was amazed."
Andy said, "We were verry satisfied. Nice place, nice stuff, nice pool, good service, not overpriced. Beautiful plants everywhere. Hope we can go there another holiday again."
Anonymous said, "A great hotel with friendly and devoted staff. Located against a hill it is only about 10 minutes walk to the centre of Lamai and the beach. Very quite and peaceful, while the everything is within walking distance. The hotel has a nice pool and the houses are really nice, done in thai style. Can highly recommend to stay here."
Vi said, "My family and I airy. The staff were very nice. Also very accommodating when we requested for the free ride to/from Lamai Beach (make sure you have the hotel phone number as they had forgotten to pick us up once). Pool was very nice and not all shallow so you can play around a bit. Spa was clean and at great price (remember that they automatically add a 10% service charge).Cons: The noise! The hotel is right off of a busy street and you can hear the traffic clearly. We were in the front row, which was right above some construction trucks parking. Even during my spa treatment, which is higher up in the hills, I was still able to hear traffic noise while soaking in the tub outside. Very limited breakfast selections, which was the same everyday. Oh, the room was nice during the day but at night, you have to close up all 10 curtains! They re also white and thin, which will not keep out sunlight, so don t count on sleeping in.Overall: It was a decent place for the price. If you don t mind some street noise then this might work for you. I wouldn t recommend it to a friend though."
Inara said, "The wooden villas were fantastic, quite spacious and clean.I really liked the plants and trees in the bathroom, very exotic. The staff were really friendly and helpful, made us feel very welcome everyday of our stay.Swimming pool is great and has its own bar.We went to the Spa couple of times and that was quite good as well. The hotel is located on the hill above the main road which goes to Lamai. The hotel staff brought us to Lamai every time we needed free of charge. But we walked to Lamai a few times and it only takes 10 min to get there.I would recommend this hotel to everyone and we will definitely return there next time we are in Thailand."
Virpi said, "Hotel was clean and nice. Location was ok, but not the best. They had free transfer to the Lamai beach when ever you want. Spa was excellent and value of money was really good in the hotel and in the spa."
Martin said, "Excellent resort service, high standart of hygiene and well developed spa service. Nice location and walking distance to the beach and Lamai s shopping parades. As for improvement area I would recommend a breakfast food menu as limited, poorly chosen and lack of local cousine."
K. said, "Very nice and peaceful... great if you want to get away from the town. The pool is also very nice. Private villas are great! Staff is also great.Only complaint I had was how they charged for everythingevery other hotel we one will pass every 2 minutes."
Eva said, "A nice resort with a beautiful pool. Good service and comfortable rooms. A very nice breakfastbuffe. The traffic was noicy and disturbing though."
Elisabeth said, "A beautiful, clean, fresh resort with wonderful staf!!!"
Ruth said, "Very nice resort. Steep climb, but villas are very pleasant. Excellent value for moneyPool s also very nice. Spa could do with refurbishing"
Sunting said, "this hotel is very beautiful and quiet.the service is well .i like this hotel very much and will come back next year."
Louise said, "The infinity edge pool was amazing! Top level had a spa and the bottom level had submerged stools for the cocktail bar which had a very extensive selection. It was fun to watch the staff try to make our obscure choices too.Our room was beautiful! Solid teak as is the entire resort, lends a feeling of luxury. The bungalows are very spacious and the aircon was good. Only bad point was the bed. It was rock hard! Very uncomfortable to sleep on and the pillows were way too thick. We asked for thinner pillows twice and were finally given one. Staff were pleasant, especially Jolli the owner/manager.Breakfast was very average, and when we ordered dinner once, some items were lost in translation. It was a 10 minute walk from the beach (once we figured out the way home) and the staff are happy to shuttle you to and from the beach free of charge anytime.Once the staff are up to speed with the food particularly, we would stay there again because the resort was very peaceful and attractive."
JM said, "The hotel and the rooms are beautiful. We had an ocean view villa and at night time we could watch the fireworks display from our balcony. The staff is very friendly and is always ready to help. We got free breakfast each morning, and the breakfast selection was excellent. We had dinner twice at the restaurant and the prices were very reasonable. We had accidently broken a glass during dinner and then as we were checking out, management informed us that we had to pay for the glass-100bhat. This we found a little strange. The staff will drive you into town and the beach and pick you up as well, free of charge. The beach is only a 5 minute walk away. We didn t use the spa at the hotel, but got massages by the beach for 150-200bhat."
Jaroslaw said, "Excellent hotel! Located in a tropical garden, on a hill. Peaceful, quiet place, quite away from the crowdy towns and beaches. The hotel has a pool, a pool-bar, spa and a great restaurant with prices between 70-200 baht per dish. We rented a wooden villa and it was worth every penny we paid. Clean, comfortable, giving you feeling of intimacy. If you re lucky, you ll get a sea view. The air-con was effective, beds were wide, bit hard though, bathroom had a roof-window and smelt fresh each day. Hotel provides regular overnight laundry service (we paid 50 baht per kilo). You can rent a motorbike or car via the rec. The pool is open till midnight. The closes tourist attractions are: Grandma & Grandpa (5 mins by bike), 3 waterfalls (20 mins), butterfly garden (40 mins.), cliff (15 mins.). DO GO to Angthong National Park and stay for the night!!!! Serene Hill place is away from the beach, we didn t mind. Beach in Lamai is not the nicest one I ve seen. Last but not least we loved the staff at the hotel, reception was professional and helpful, the chef is a Master, and Zin ( client manager ) was everywhere and took care of every little problem or question we had. We left some books in Polish at the Rec., enjoy :)"
Colleen said, "What a memorable experience. You can have all the hotels on the beach we will take Serene Hill anytime. The name says it all Serene Hill is certainly that and more. If the hundreds of birds that use the edge of the overflow pool for bathing in & the beautiful butterfly s of all colours that live in the spectacular plant life could talk they would tell you the same, or maybe they wouldn t they may just keep it a secret as I probably should. We they will transport you up in that. However when we return I will book a Wooden Villa lower down on the hill due to my old ankle injury as I found I had to be very carefull walking down. breakfast was good and all other meals that we ate here were also good & reasonably priced. The pool is large and the top tier is a shallower pool with a large spa area that overflows into the main pool, this pool also has an overflow edge, you can look down the hill to Lamai and the sea from the pool. great views, great hotel, great staff."
Mats said, "We were 2 adults and 2 kids from Sweden who had also a bit ocean view. A great place! The staff was extraordinary, very polite and eager to help in any way. I m very sorry that there were so few other guests which made the staff unoccupied a lot. The good thing was that we could have the great pool almost for ourselves the whole week.Tha SPA section was a bit of a disappointment though because of their high prices. I tried a two hours Thai massage which was as pricy as 1,400 Baht. Normal fee is about 300 Baht. The staff is high educated though...I recommend Serene Hill Resort for families, single adults and people who wants to be tsunami safe - but not for people who can t walk up hills. It was a steep walk up to our villa from the road. A splendid view though made the walk worth every effort!"
Richard said, "The resort was lovely. The Thai Bungerlow was gorgeous, spacious and well maintained. The surrounding grounds, pool and restaurant were very nice and the staff friendly (as it seems most Thais are). I would recommend Serene Hill to anyone travelling to the island of Samui."
Sudket said, "The pick-up service was already waiting went I arrived at Samui airport. The ride to the hotel was pleasant but sometimes a bit bumpy due to road conditions. The hotel entrance is right beside the main road, so it was easy to find. The welcoming party already had everything ready for check-in when I arrived, cause the driver inform the reception by phone before arriving(well done). The hotel rooms are situated on a slope, higher than the main road.A golfcart drove me to the room; a short distance from the reception hall. The room is a thai style house with a more than enough space with a large bed and thai style sitting area. The whole construction is made of wood with lots of window all around. Very nice. The area around the houses is green with lots of plants. Service was good, because I felt that the staff tried to give there best, eventhough that some employees didn t speak english that well. The food was delicious but I sometime felt that they change the cook everyday. I especially noticed this during breakfast, when they brought my thai style breakfast(rice soup).Sometimes it was ground meat and other times slices of meat. The amount rice and meat also changes from day to day.Nevertheless, it was always delicious. The service in the restaurant could be better. The only thing that really disturbed me was the fact that it was near the main road. The vehicles there are sometimes very load and the near by local Karaoke bar didn t help either.I could hear the load music till early in the morning.All-in-all I had a good time there and would recommend the resort to those immune to traffic noise."
