AFANAS`EV said, "Negative, very negative, using Russian word DERMO .We as long as you choose your room wisely it s a good choice - though don t expect it to be anything like Poppies next door!We initally booked a standard bungalow but on arrival took one look at it, a small dark unappealing room, and immediately upgraded to a garden view room. I m really glad we did, as the rooms are very pleasant with a huge double bed and decent bathroom. Only thing was that the garden view rooms are on the ground floor and people walk right past your window so you need to keep the curtains closed. The place is right on a particularly nice stretch of the beach - it s much quieter than further north, and the sea seems clearer. We had a very pleasant time here."
Mark said, "Nice place rooms are a bit dated but still nice enough for the price. Location is great right on beach, nice pool with good service, buffet breakfast was great. Every one there was helpfull and friendly would stay again. Mark and Frances, NZ"
shannon said, "Spent a lot of time searching for the right place to stay while in Koh Samui. Had a wonderful 3 nights at Seascape. Right on the beach, had a twin bungalow situated just steps from the front reception & the beach. Breakfast was really nice-included in price. Had a great garlic pizza for dinner one night. Laundry service right next door. Booked a day tour for us too...very helpful & nice staff."
GHN said, "great hotel - breakfast excellent. Nicely located closed to shops etc."
Mr said, "down the beach from the busy section so thought it would be a bit quieter but bungalow near road, heard constant noise and they seem to have a car park in the grounds of the hotel so can hear everybody coming in on the mopeds at all hours. Travel agent at hotel very helpful. Food OK, but better options are available. Otherwise OK, nothing to right home about though. Feel like the place could try a lot harder. Had advertised Tue, Thurs night band - but no band. Staff sitting around a lot doing nothing."
Wendy said, "Thanks for a great stay, it is the second time my friend and i have Restaurant are very friendly and helpful. The location of this resort is perfect, south of the main area and fantastic beach position.Hope to be back there again next year for my annual holiday."
Miranda said, "fabulous hotel, room lovely and spacious, cleaned daily, staff friendly and helpful, pool area small but right near beach, the hotel was nice and peaceful and away from bars and restaurants but within easy walking distance this is our 2nd stay here thoroughly enjoyed it. love thailand!"
scott said, "The hotel was in a nice location. It was clean and well taken care of. The rooms were big, but the bed was so hard i could have slept on the floor with the same results. There was also some odor from the bathroom that i could not explain. complained to hotel about it with no results. The restaurant and bar which were right near the beach were nice, the service sucked. Don t get the breakfast that was added to the bill, not worth getting up for. I will probably not stay there next time I m in Samui. There are alot of resorts there. I didn t get what I expected for the money I spent to stay there. Stay there if all the other resorts are full."
Ã…ke said, "Very good value for money. We clean, the only thing was that the beds where very hard. It could have been more sun chairs, almost all of them where booked already at 09:00 am in the morning. Lovely beach and good resturant, Ok breakfast."
Will said, "It wasn t too bad. I feel like it may have been overpriced after finding out about other hotels in the area though. But overall, I give it a 6 out of a possible 10.Thanks,Will P. Hatch"
Rob said, "Hotel is good for the price & the location is good if you want to be a little way away from the main Chaweng action , but still in walking distance. The breakfast is pretty rubbish - suggest eating out !! In general I would recommend this hotel"
lena said, "Nice place, bungalows close to the pool is best. Staff helpfull, good breakfast."
Gill said, "Regretfully this accommodation was not up to standard in our opinion and we had checked out within 1hr of arriving at Seascape."
Johnny said, "Very disappointed that the restaurant was closed (emergency construction)Was not told this on arrival but told be note in room.No discount or anything to make up for the lack of restaurant.Absolutely nothing to do in hotel after dark (pool area had no light, bar) Okay, but small pool (didn’t look that small on picture)Very bad breakfast at the Lord Nelson (the emergency restaurant in the street)Staff was okay, but very poor English speaking. All in all not worth the price we think.."
Alan said, "It was very old and did not feel very clean (we saw roaches around). The towels felt old and dirty as well. We had initially booked a standalone villa, but we weren t happy with it, so we switched to one of the hotel rooms. It wasn t that much better, but seemed a bit bigger. We were used to friendly Thai people, but the staff at this hotel were very unfriendly and not very helpful. Everytime we made any requests, we got attitude. The breakfast buffet was mediocre and there wasn t much to choose from besides cereal or last night s leftovers. We actually considered checking out and booking at another cleaner hotel, but since we were only there for two nights, we decided to just deal with it. However, we would not book here again and do not recommend it."
Grant, said, "We really enjoyed our stay at Seascape. The hotel staff are really friendly and the breakfast was great (say hi to B and Pa for us). Great location as its the quiet end of the beach and there is no reef (unlike the northern end). Only a 10-15 minute to the main action or 50 baht in a taxi bus. Great cocktails (cheap between 5-7PM) or go across to AKWA and say hi to Tim, Lee, and Lisa. Definitely worth the extra money to book the beachfront bungalow....already saving up for next holiday here"
CAZAC said, "We ard Bungalow. It was a very nice trip. The bungalow was clean, a little bit small but OK.The location is very good, connect with a nice beach and near all entertaitement."
Birgitta said, "Value for money. Family bungalow was a more common than expected, oceanview from terrace was only a flash through the bush.Family room on the 3rd floor, had a slight view of the sea. The room was perfect for a family. Bungalow close to the pool and the beach which was perfectly situated for our friends with a small child. Breakfast buffet gets old after a couple of days - maybe a little variation. There is an on-site tour booking service to help with any tours you might want to take. And it s a good price if you want to save your money for other things. This hotel is on the best part of the beach and is away from the hussle and bustle of chaweng but still easily accessible."
Sonni said, "Bad hotel old and to expencive! we payed 500 B more and got mutch better hotel at baan chweng chek out for you self...! they cant talk english and bad service other places like baan is better and they talk english! okay breakfeast not the best we tryed yet ( we spacious. My kids enjoyed the evenings at the pool after snorkelling. The breakfast was good. Staff was helpful and even went to the extend of getting breakfast for us half an hour earlier as our tour was too early in the morning. The beach was nice and location of the hotel was ok but towards the end of chaweng, as the mid section of chaweng is more happening I had to walk quite a distance.. but overall the hotel is just as we wanted except that I expected it to be towards the middle of chaweng and not towards the end. Very good for families though. I booked my tours from the hotel itself after checking a few of the pricings for the snorkeling tours outside. I was surprised that the hotel rates were actually abt 200baht cheaper then the tours agents outside. I have a family of 5 with me and 200baht made quite a bit of difference to my pocket."
Bente said, " the beach which was perfectly situated for us.Average standard in the bungalow with a shower without almost any pressure at all.Too bad the beachchairs were taken away from the beach too early in the afternoon due to setting up tables and chairs for evening dinner.Good food in the restaurant.Friendlier staff would be adviced."
Maria said, "great hotel! The beds are extremely hard and the breakfast buffet gets old after a couple of days - maybe a little variation."
malcolm said, "room good size but basic internet pictures make hotel look good but what a let down when you get there pool small and hotel needs a face lift staff unfrendly would never stay there again"
Jody said, "At first, I didn t think the pictures of the website matched the actual place, but when the weather turn nicer, they were one and the same. The place is right on the beach (a nice beach too). The rooms are basic, but who needs more when you have the beach right there to enjoy? The breakfast that comes with the room is really good- both western and Thai style. There is an on-site tour booking service to help with any tours you might want to take. And it s a good price if you want to save your money for other things."
Natasa said, "it is at the end of chaweng beach, so there is quite a hike to the middle of it in the evening. But you can also rent a scooter. Hotel is very nice (we had the beach bungalow) and it was great. Breakfast, Beachtowels, chairs... all great. Personel at reception unfriendly, so we booked our trips elsewhere. Had a great vacation there and do recommend it."
Carly said, "Great location walking distance to main stretch of chaweng...beautiful beach frount views....we off ish. Restaurant cheap and breakfast nice...Will stay again as resonably priced for what you get. Great Bungalows."
Claes said, "The room and restaurant are okay, but I´m sure the crew can better. The location are fine, near to everything.Very nice beach."
Larry said, "Had a wonderful time. Beachfront bungalow was ideal. Room and staff were great. This is a great location on the best beach on the quiet end. Breakfast was wonderful each morning. Would certainly return to this resort."
Ã…sa said, "We were very satisfied with the hotel and it held what it promised. The rooms was very large and we 3 children in a room withot it getting to small. Our only complaine was about the pool but they closed it down after several small accident and started reparation. The staff did absoloutely all they could to serve us and always with a smile!!!"
CHEN said, "Strongly not recommend the standard bungalow, quite old first, small space for luggage. Esp., I don t like the bathroom, not clean and low water pressure, even cannot enjoy a shower on my 1st night there. Beach view is good, but often colse early at around 430pm, with most of their own dinner table setup."
Ellinor said, "Great place! One minute to the beach and one minute to the city but calm and quiet. Friendly staff, great location, fresh beach towels every day and sunbeds by the sea and the pool. Great breakfast buffee with everything you can ask for!"
Harriet said, "A very nice place, a small pool right next to the beach. We clean. Staff is very nice and helpful. The only problem we experienced was when our two-year old son got an electric by one of the lamps on the beach at the restaurant. Even though it hit him really hard, the staff didn t take them away, instead the same thing happened to one of the waiters later the same evening. Not very safe at all. Otherwise, I can really recommend this place."
Alikhan said, "Clean rooms, friendly staff - nice place to rest. Muslim and Jewish tourists may have some difficulties at breakfast time due to presented dishes. Be careful with tour packages offered at hotel - specify all terms and conditions, otherwise you may end up with uncompleted services i.e. instead 30 minutes elephant trekking you get 10 minutes(money paid for 30) etc."
Lisa said, "WE LOVED IT HERE!!! the people were so friendly.. 5 mins walk to the shopping district and 2 mins walk to the beach. WE MISS EVERYONE THERE SO MUCH AND IF WE WERE TO COME BACK WE LL STAY THERE AGAIN!!"
Sofie said, "Very nice place, good value for the money. Our bungalow was worn, but service was excellent and staff very nice."
Lene said, "Very nice, friendly atmosphere. The standard was good and the area was quiet, yet very close to shopping ,bars and restaurants. We would absolutely recomend Seascape to others, and we know where to stay next time we ll go to Koh Samui."
Ann said, "This was our second stay at Seascape, and the place can only be recomended! Nothing bad to say about this place."
Duane said, "I was surprised by how big the room was. I it generally looked quiet in the evenings. Most of the staff were friendly and communicated well. Housekeeping did an excellent job.Remember, you re not in a native-English speaking country, so don t expect fluency. I asked lots of questions and I had no serious problems. If you smile and say please & thank you , then you ll always find people kind and helpful (this applies everywhere I went in Thailand...). If you want people to kiss your butt, stay at a 5-star hotel and pay the price! The property is well kept and the beach is beautiful. There are a lot of vendors on the beach, but that s not the hotel s fault. Just wear your sunglasses and iPod earphones and they ll ignore you! haha Chaweng Beach can be kind of a crazy place with a lot of parties and nightlife - this can be good or bad depending on what kind of traveller you are. This hotel is located near the end of the shopping & nightlife zone, so that s all easily accessible. But the hotel is not in the middle of all that, so if you prefer quiet you ve got it. Some earlier reviews hinted that this hotel was a kind of party place, but during my stay (at peak season) it was mostly families and a few couples. So, pretty laid back.Downsides? A few, but not too serious. I going, and the whole front of my room was window with sliding glass doors and big curtains which didn t quite cover the windows. So, I didn t feel that I had much privacy. No problem for me, but if you re going for a romantic getaway consider this - not exactly discreet. The pool is small, but kids seemed to enjoy it. I used the big pool just across the beach (the sea!), which was beautiful for swimming and playing in the waves. The floor drain in my bathroom wasn t placed correctly, so water tended to pool on the bathroom floor and get tracked into the room. I quickly learned to place a towel on the floor just outside the bathroom. Problem solved.Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and thought this place was a good value.Hope this helps somebody!"
Paul said, "Superb location superb rooms. The accommodation we chose was literally 30 secs from the beach front! The restaurant was top notch too - for our few nights stay there we eat there every night because it was that good.It s only a 5 minute walk through to the main town, so an all round ideal location. staff were very friendly at all times, and very helpful when we booked a day out elephant trekking and visiting the waterfalls near by.highly recommended for the location, price, and friendliness."
Karianne said, "My second time at Seascape, and the place is great! Friendly and helpful staff, peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Perfect for those travelling with children. Some modifications has been done at the resort since my last stay, BUT it s really time to renovate the standard bungalows, especially the bathrooms. The bungalows lookes really worn!!!"
John said, "Staff was helpful. Included breakfast was fine. The price of the room was good. Grounds on the resort were nice to look at. Standard bungalows need to replace some items. The beds are old and you can feel the springs. Walls definately need new paint. Cleaning staff was good. Over all a resonably priced hotel - just need to paint and get new beds. We enjoyed our stay despite this!"
Klaus said, "Very good budget hotel. Spacious rooms, the furniture would need some refreshment. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Small pool but the sea is near with a very nice beach. I was really satisfied. Good value for the money."
Mark said, "Big family rooms, fantastic staff and great value for money. This hotel is on the best part of the beach and is away from the hussle and bustle of chaweng but still easily accessible."
VIGROUX said, "the staff is always smiling, bungalows are clean and well equiped. One negative point : the number of poolbeds on the beach is too small. It is not the 1st time I book in Seascape. If I come back, that means that I m satisfied...."
K said, "We ard bungalow. The bungalow was not in good shape and need renovation. Anyway, we were satisfied because of the location (middle of the Chaweng Beach) and the price. We recommend that you try to get a bungalow near the pool (like numbers 409 and 410). The staff were helpful and in overall spoke good English. The breakfast was ok. Btw, if you require or wish for a quiet environment, choose other beach than Chaweng, like Maenam or Lamai."
LTTravel said, "Unfortunately our stay here was not pleasant but this was due to the room that we received. The resort restaurant however was nice, directly on the beach and we always managed to get deck chairs and an umbrella during the day. The hotel is in a good position on the quieter end of Chaweng beach and only a 10-15min walk from the hustle and bustle of the main strip. The reception staff could be friendlier though. We booked a standard bungalow (which is fairly small) and it was the first bungalow closest to the main road. The drain in the bathroom stunk of sewerage and the smell made it impossible to have a shower. We notified the front desk after the first night and they said an engineer would look at it. However all they did was put tissue paper over the drain and when we took another shower the smell was still the same. We asked to be moved but there were no std bungalows available and we were told we would have to pay extra for any of the other rooms. So we checked out and moved to another resort The Chaweng Cabana Resotel, 2 hotels down. These bungalows were clean and very spacious and hotel staff were very helpful, definately glad we moved."
Martin said, "Good sized rooms, helpful staff. Good value for money."
Darrell said, "A great little budget hotel about 20 mins walk from Soi Green Mango. We were in room 401 (nearest the road) despite asking for a room with a seaview, but no matter. The beach was but a short stroll. The beach towels were a nice touch which I hadn t expected."
