Samui Park Resort

Sarah said, "We could not be repaired in time.No other available room due to group booking.2. The mananger of said hotel transferred us to Thai Grand House hotel , according to the manager the room rate of this new hotelis expensive than Samui Park Resort.3. I could say, Thai Grand House, is smaller than Samui Park Hotel but its a new hotel recently construct one year.4. Originally, we request for 3 x beds but at Thai Grand house could provide only double and extra beds. The reason we request for 3 x beds due to I could say, I am snoring so it would distrub my boy if we share double bed and its true, my boy complaint whilst my daugther who got seperate bed said good for her to have seperate bed , but not a big deal for us.5. Allow me to share some experiences for improvement, I found the traffic sign look a bit confusing to us, we hired the car and drive along the road and could not find the place we would likt to visit but could not reach to the destination due to the traffic signs are not convenience, let say, the sign said, Nah Muange Waterfall, we believed it would be around 50 metres after the sign but it seemd once we found the sign, we have to immediate take action such as turn right or left with its quite dangerous for the visitor etc.6. The food, well well, its rather expensive for local people, in some place there was night market, local food, we found it is very popular for the foriengner but the place arranged is not enough both foriegner and Thai tourist.From the above comment and conversation with Hotel manager, if we look from the other angle, we could think that the original hotel we booked may have some hidden issues such as, there was no room available for the group so they transferred us to the other hotel. I could say this is not negative thinking but it could be. The hotel need to aware more on these kind of issues.Thanks you."

Ray said, "Not a good choice for us. We arrived on Koh Samui and booked into the hotel. They were very friendly and showed us our room. We were going to stay for 30 days and our room was overlooking the very busy noisy road. We said this was unacceptable and wanted to cancel our booking. They then showed another room on the other side, a better room but still not acceptable. They told me I had to call Sawadee to cancel and I did, while I was on the phone to Sawadee they showed my husband another room overlooking the pool and it was better but by now were definitely not staying there. We didn t understand why it would take 3 tries to get the better room. We didn t stay there and found a much better place down the road. The pictures on the net look way better than the resort actually is."

Leif said, "We were a group of 5 persons which the reception were all nice people. And they made our stay there to å trip we will remember.... The beach at the hotel is the only thing I can complain about, but we had Lamai beach nearby(10 min) walking...Iwould highly reccomend this hotel for other people.i hope i can come back..."

Susanne said, "It is actually a hotel with a lot of potential. They are renovating it, and that s really neccessary. At the moment it s noisy there. There is a new Management. Lets see what they ll change. Pool is very nice. Beach nice but not for swimming because of the corals. People are very friendly."

Mrs said, "Big clean room with all amenities, fridge, good a/c, mirrors. lights, hairdryer, TV, etc. All linen and towels changed daily. 2 bottles of water free per day, which is a trick they have learned from the dearer hotels. Bathroom OK, but hot water erratic, and no hot to sink, and no plug to sink, which my hubby says makes shaving impossible. Balcony disgusting, all mouldy and no furniture out there anyway, but this might be part of the ongoing refurbishment programme which is going on around you, but not really intrusive. Breakfast was very poor, but as the week went on it got better, you could have what ever you asked for, and the staff are all absolutely lovely, very helpful. Pool area lovely, sun beds/pool towels, view onto beach stunning. All very clean and nice.Parking and free internet available. all in all, I would thoroughly recommend and will use again. Excellent value for money."

Monclar said, "We staid my wife and my two kids in the hotel 5 nights and here are our feedback.The room size was good, clean and have a nice balcony. The reception staff, specially the two ladies are very helpfull. The swimmingpool has a nice size and is facing the beach. That s all for the good feedback.The bad things were: -we had a smelly bathroom-the new year party was pathetic. Everything went wrong from food to the wrong new year countdown....-In five days, i have never seen someone cleaning the swimming pool which was often dirty-beach is not praticall to swim, to many rocks and often dirty in that location of the island"

Jacqui said, "Fantastic!Located just a little further out from Chaweng than we wanted, I actually was able to relax a whole lot more, and managed to see a lot more of Samui than past visits.Lovelly staff, clean rooms, huge beds, clean pool, clean beach.. loved every last bit..Great place for kids too, Although none in our group, (maybe just at heart!)"

Mahayot said, "A nice and quiet hotel for people who want to be away from the crowd. Room rate of 1,390 baht is bit too high on a low season because the room is just normal and need repair and upgrading especially the toilet which is very dirty and old."

Beltrami said, "Very good, as usual.I already been there in february and I found it very attractive. Only a little bit of noise because of refreshing the rooms, but not too much. I will be back again."

Steinbrecher said, "nice place to stay for quiet holidays. beautiful view to the sea from rooms and pool area, really beautiful beach. location was outside of lamai, but we had a car, so no problem for us, spacious and clean rooms, good service, staff was very friendly, good breakfast, and a terrific dog at the pool area, who takes care of the guests-we enjoyed it."

Peter said, "very nice hotel, situated right to the beach. The Beach isn t really for swimming, but opportunities for snorkelling outside the channel. have to cross Hin Yay/Hin Taa to get to the real beach at Lamai. Rooms in Bungalows are fine and clean and the pool is superb. Restaurant is surprisingly good and the staff very humorous and helpful. There is a fat and kindly dog at the premises, which nobody seems to take care of. Talk to it and you will have a friend for life."

Ivo said, "Nice beachfront hotel - nice view from almost all rooms, nice swimming pool, the rooms are modest with quite old equipment (noisy fridge, low efficient aircon), but taking into the consideration the price, overall I rank the accomodation as expected , I only felt cheated when I found, that the hotel is not on the Lamai beach as advertised, but on the Hua Thanon beach - full of sharp stones, very shallow water, impossible to swim during the low tide (whole afternoon)"

Stephan said, "Samui Park Resort - a very nice place to stay, especially with family and kids. The bungalows are not luxerious but one can stand the time in there without problems. The most important thing is that from the bungalows you just need to walk abt. 10 meters to both, pool and beach! That´s great for all.The staff is very friendly and helpful, cleaning is perfect and even the restaurant, although comparibly expensiv, offers good quality food.We can recommend this place warly to everyone who likes too have a calm, not crowed. Swimming is a bit difficult due to coral-scrap in the bight but one can enjoy it anyway. And Lamai is just a few minutes to go by bike or car.Stephan Kuehl & family"

Hermann said, "This hotel offers a great SEAVIEW.The staff is very friendly and helpful.They have got a nice swimming pool and a beach which is almost private.The nice garden is quiet.Good and sufficient breakfasts.The beach is not for swimming (shallow water) but Lamai Beach is only minutes away by motorbike. There are moskitos in the afternoon near the beach.There could be a little bit of traffic noise in the room (but mostly at daytime).Altogether : good hotel if you have your own transport. I want to return next year. Hermann/Germany"

Debra said, "We a lovely outlook towards pool and private beach.Kept clean,bedding/towels changed daily if wanted.Very pretty garden and nice open dining area for breakfast.Quiet southern part of Lamai. not overly friendly reception staff or transfer drivers but room maid very nice."

The restaurant is good and the staff very friendly.The room was big, clean and comfortable - though the beds could be softer - but definitely a place to stay again sometime - its worth it.I enjoyed every single day."
