Anna said, "Lawana Resort is a nice hotel. The poolarea is great and rooms are clean and comfortable.But the food in the restaurant must be better, the breakfast is good but lunch and dinner is not so tasty, you never know what ypu get. The reservation manger is very unpleasent and did not smaile even once. The manger in the restaurant and cleaning-staff was very friendly and helpfull.The staff in the restaurant (not the manager) must learn better english. We will probably not return to this hotel. If we return to Bophut we will stay att Peace Resort instead."

Van said, "It was so so funny that i had not really good experience with Lawana Resort, let said i dont have chance to try their services. I was booked with this hotel for 6 nights on March, and i also ordered the pick up service from Samui airport to there too. When the first day we arrived in Samui airport and it was 3 July at 8 pm. We was waiting for over 30 mins in airport because normally it should have van, or taxi or car to come to pick us up. But finally we have to go there by taxi with 400 Bhat. (as nobody come to pick us up).When i arrived in the Lawana Resort s reception. The receptionist told us that our room have some kind of problem of the water tape. So they transfer us to other smiliar resort, it is just 5 mins by walk. On that moment, we dont have any choice because it was a bit late. She said that i need to stay in other resort until the end of my trip.We almost have to wait more 45 mins in reception there for solve this problem. Finally we went to that other smiliar resort and it was great one. I saw the view from that resort compare with the new one. I found really different. The peoples whom working in that resort are really really nice and friendly. Other thing that i need to recommend, it was they have one umbrella and one woman bag ( for beach) in the room. You can use it if you need. We felt so warm of this because as Samui is raining season right now. I highly recommend for everybody of this PEACE RESORTwww.peaceresort.comI m sure that i will comeback on next year Summer."

I loved the room s decoration but I did t like the fact that the bangalos were so close to each other and I always had to keep the curtains closed. BEST breakfast EVER!! The beach is calm but not very pretty, good for kids and couples who just want to relax."

Sara said, "We had a wonderful experience staying at the Lawana. The bungalows were extremely well cared for and quite big. The breakfast was included every day and truly an added bonus. Overall, the Lawana was the perfect selection. We thought about booking at Peace Hotel, but after seeing how large and crowded it was, we were very pleased with our decision to stay at Lawana. Bophut Beach is quiet and beautiful; the sand is not the nicest, but the calm water and beautiful view more than make up for that. Fisherman s Village is full of wonderful restaurants and is an easy walk from any of the hotels on the beach. If you have to choose any location on Koh Samui, Bophut Beach and the Lawana Resort are the best choices you can make!"

Karen said, "This place was OK. Beach not that great, no space and sand is like gravel. Rooms are worn and location not the best. Staff are wonderful but have limits with what they can work with. Not the best place for money can find much nicer for same or less."

Michaela said, "Hotel war super genial. kleine wirklich sehr liebevoll zurechtgemachte haeuschen, zum teil mit eigenem pool (allerdings etwas ueberteuert, aber sehr nett!) fruehstuecksbuffet klasse, anlange sowie strand wurden sehr sauber gehalten. angestellten sehr zuvorkommend. mit englisch und zeichensprache konnte man sich gut verstaendigen, deutsche reiseleitung im hotel. zu empfehlen ist uebrigens die safari tour, macht einen tierischen gaudi. essen im hotel (abends) recht teuer, da kann man besser zum fisherman s village laufen (dort sehr zu empfehlen starfish and coffee - sieht ein bissel puffig aus, ist aber sehr gut!) lage ist sehr ruhig, aber im sammeltaxi bis chaweng sind es nur 15 min wenn man party oder einkaufen gehen moechte. also kurz und knapp, das hotel ist nur zu empfehlen, wirklich toll und noch was, wir hatten keine untermieter (kaefer o.a.) im zimmer waehrend des aufenthaltes, vielleicht auch noch wichtig zu wissen. wir koennen dieses hotel nur weiterempfehlen. wirklich ein toller urlaub."

You can appreciate it during the holiday, day after day, seat on your terrace, under the palm...the sea in not the maximum, the swimming pool is good! The restaurant offer every day different specialities...i liked it a lot! The breakfast is very varied. It s simplicities has left a great sign in us, also if it isn t so luxurius. Justin said, "Really really cute property on quiet Bophut Beach. Comfortable well presented cabins with large bathrooms. Great service and excellent value for money.Beach itself - looks beautiful and is perfect for baking and admiring the view. But for swimming the water is not clear like Chaweng. A few metres into the water the sand turns to soft mud."

Richard said, "Very nice and clean. 4 of us motorbike rental shops are just right behind the resort main entrance. Only 2 mins ride to Fishermen Village and Maenam area. Although the resort scale and the swimming pool are small, it is enough for a peacefull holiday. The lighting in the room and walk way can be lighted-up better in a more grand-style. There is little bit dark in the walk way at night. Breakfast is enough but the area for meal is small. Around 10 tables and they are close nearby each other. If you are a budget traveller, she is an outstanding resort. If you are travelling with childs and limited budget, the next behind resort Peace will be better. She has a large playground and the rooms are almost the same as Lawana."

A. said, "We enjoyed our stay at this hotel for 3 nights in May. I will say that bungalos are very nice, with large bathrooms and the service was excellent (extra towels, waters, etc. in the room). The resort itself is very small though with only a few inches between each unit. This didn t bother us at all (further apart than if you were staying in adjoining hotel rooms) but you definitely don t feel as though you are in a spacious resort. The pool is nice, although the area around it is small and does get crowded. The beach is really sub-par. The sand is very rough and the beach slopes down from the hotel to the water so that all the beach chairs are on a slant. The beach is nice for walking though and there are many restaurants nearby to visit. The massage services on the beach for Lawana were really nice (and inexpensive). We would recommend staying here but just be aware it s pretty small and crowded - but with good service and in a good location."

Stephanie said, "This was my third stay at Lawana, situated on Bophut Beach, and I look forward to many more vacations at Lawana, a very pleasant setting and location on Samui. Wonderful small resort with excellent management and staff. Lawana is nearly four years old and looks brand new due to the outstanding maintenance and care. Beautiful setting with lovely pool, very comfortable accommodation with a special Thai touch. Excellent breakfast and enjoyable meals on the beach. The massage staff are also very good. Can t wait to visit again!"

Tanya said, "Myself and my boyfriend made our 1st visit to Thailand in October this year. We originally booked the Lawana resort for 3 nts but loved it so much we extended our stay to 7 nts. The bungalows are exactly like the photos you see on the website and the resort of Bo Phut is quiet, but lovely. The Lawana resort is right on the beach and eventhough it rained for a couple of days we had an absolute ball. The beach is okay but I have seen nicer beaches in Thailand. As it was October the water was a little murky but I believe at other times of the year the water is better for swimming. The location of Lawana is on the main road of Bo Phut but it is still really quiet with little traffic. To get to the main area of Bo Phut where all the bars and restaurants are we travelled by a Songthaw (open back pick-up truck). It was really cheap and only a 5 min journey, so well worth it. At Lawana the staff are really friendly and speak excellent english. The buffet breakfast is exceptional as they have a wide range of food ranging from fruit,cereal and cakes to Sausages, Bacon etc.. The Lawana massages and pedicures are great and really cheap also, well worth a try. Overall our stay at Lawana was pleasant and exactly what we expected. We would definitely recommend the Lawana resort to anyone, whether you are a couple or a family - you will have a wonderful stay. We loved it so much that we will definitely be going back to Thailand and to stay at the Lawana Resort."

Andrew said, "An absolutely wonderful hotel-- my family and I were so pleased with the beauty of the grounds, the lovely suites, the delicious food, and especially the great service all the way around. The staff was extremely friendly and helped us out on multiple occasions, always with a smile. The beach is a little cramped and the sand at the resort isn t the greatest, and we were a little disappointed with the waters at Bophut. But I would highly recommend Lawana to anyone staying on the beach- the absolute best part of our stay."

Great.It was so great, we dumped another hotel in Koh Samui and we went back to Lawana for 4 more wonderful days. I think that s the best compliment you can get. If possible we will be back next year and stay with our friends at Lawana."

Simon said, "Overall, a nice place but I felt the photos of the resort showcased a more luxurious resort than actuality. The bungalos are so close to each other that keeping the window shades open when you are inside will make you feel as if you have no privacy. The pool is beautiful. The breakfast was fine. Overall, probably a good value, but we only moved to a more upscale resort on the same beach."

Verena said, "We were extremely pleased with the Lawana Resort. It is set in beautiful gardens with large trees all around. The pool area is 3 steps from the beach and both were excellent. The staff is very friendly and we had no problems whatsoever. It is also in easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. After having checked out a few other places we had initially considered we would definitely choose the Lawana Resort again. It is on one of the best beaches we found."

Freundliches Personal.Das Frühstücksbuffet hätte etwas abwechslungsreicher sein können.Schöner Strandabschnitt, aber die Sonnenschirme müÃYten erneuert werden.Leider gestattete es die Hotelleitung, daÃY beim Abendessen die Herren ohne T-Shirt am Tisch sitzen konnten. I cannot praise the resort highly enough, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable, location is excellent and the staff make every effort to make you enjoy your stay with them. Johanna said, "We spent four very relaxing days by the pool at Lawana resort in July 2005. The rooms were nice and clean and the surrounding garden very beautiful. Especially the pool area personnel earned big thanks for their friendliness! The food was probably not the best you can get in Thailand and there was a lot of western food available. But there are plenty of good restaurants nearby."

Charlotte said, "Whilst there was nothing actually wrong with the hotel, there were a few things that we disappointed with. Reception staff weren t that helpful or friendly although the restaurant staff were. The rooms didn t look quite like the pictures on the webb and didn t have much space for belongings. The beach however was great. Best beach on Samui although you need to go further afield for thinsg to do. Recomend having dinner at the Fishermans Village, loads of lovely fish restaurants there."

James said, "Very enjoyable stay in smashing surroundings. The pool was particularly good. Rooms are well appointed and clean with lovely little touches of decor to make you feel Thai. The menu and service was excellent although they do seem to close a little early in the evening."

Kearns said, "Lawana is good value compared to other resorts in the area. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and very clean. We had originally booked for only two nights but ended up staying for five. The reception staff could have been a bit friendlier but all of the other staff were great! We actually got a lower rate by booking through Sawadee and when we went to book for a further three nights they quoted us a higher rate but then let us stay at the Sawadee rate without a problem."

Mr. said, "The Lawana Resort in the island Koh Samui, is an enchanted place, which the web-site pictures describe it nicely and veraciously. To those that want to enjoy the nature sounds, the amazing virgin beaches, and still be close (10 minutes Taxi) from the Chaweng noisy city it is the best choice."

If you want a lively night out then Chawang is only 200 BHT in a taxi.The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. This is the only place I have ever would definitely stay again!"

Terry said, "The A Lawana Resort is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Ko Sumui. The group of bungalows is located in a nice spot on Boput Beach - within walking distance to Boput s restaurants and shops, but far enough away to allow some peace and quiet. The resort itself is quite new and marvelously landscaped. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. The bungalows are comfortable and well decorated, but smaller than the pictures posted on their website. Each bungalow basically consists of one room with enough space for the bed (on a slightly raised platform) and a table with TV, as well as an area off to the side with a couple of chairs. The room has airconditioning, and we found it to work well. The bathroom is off the main room and has screened windows that are always open to allow for ventilation as it is not airconditioned. We didn t find this to be a problem but it probably depends on how much time you spend in the bathroom! One thing to be prepared for here is that the water from both the sink and shower has a slightly yellow tint (not that big of a deal) and the hot water is luke warm at best. We did not have any warm water the entire 9 days we were at Lawana, though we heard that other guests did have hot water and never had a problem with this. The staff at the resort are very friendly and accomodating. However, when we had problems with the water they were not the fastest at responding to us and didn t keep us updated on their attempt to fix the plumbing.The pool and sun deck area of Lawana is excellent. Lots of pool chairs face the view of the ocean and the pool itself is lovely. The restaurant at the resort is also nice, serving a good American style breakfast in the morning and both Western and Thai dishes for lunch and dinner at very reasonable prices.Overall, we thought this place was a good deal for the money and would probably stay there again. If you want even more peace and quite, really want to get away from all, and like to stay in a tad more secluded area while on vacation, consider staying on Maenam beach next door."

Ms. said, "A nice place, with many bungalows that all looked well kept. The grounds were well maintained with lush tropical plants. The layout was a bit sterile compared to other places though, with long pathways that didn t meander much or give much of a walk from our bungalow to the beach. The pool doesn t have much shade around it, the beach is a great location right next to the Peace Resort."
