Samui Laguna Resort

M. said, "I do not recommend this one! The facilities are okay-ish, but the staff is absolutely terrible! They hardly speak English, even at reception and are just unforthcoming. The restaurant was nice, simple but nice and staff there was much friendlier then inside . They stole from our rooms, jewelery and money, but the manager was actually laughing about it and the police was told by him that it was an insurance scam so not to help us. Really really bad, as we didn t even have insurance! There are no safes in the rooms so you either have to bring everything of value to the beach, bring it back and forth to the reception (is far)or you get robbed. We ended up with a report from the Tourist Police in Chaweng as the regular police sided with the manager after a lot of Thai converstaions and it took us two days of driving back and forth. For us, it just wasn t worth it and de manager was such a jerk..... perhaps he was even in on it???"

Bengt said, "It was my second stay this year at Samui Laguna Resort. The hotel is nice the staff very friendly and polite. I really like it!"

Birgitta said, "Good location near Lamai centre and easy to go to Chaweng. The staff was friendly and helpful.The restaurant lay on the beach and it was nice to have breakfast with the view on the sea."

Anna said, "The bungalows were nice and clean but maybe a little bit to small for four persons. The pool was a little bit dirty. Close to beach and shopping."

Justin said, "Bungalows were clean & spacious. Close to beach & walking distance of main street without being near any noise to disturb. Hotel staff were curtious & friendly. breakfast was a bit questionable, but it didnt matter as local eateries were good & inexspensive."

Tiffany said, "Me and my fiance loved the accomodation, we were secluded, had plenty of space and were happy with everything. Only problem was we had a little visitor (mouse) on last week of holiday so we requested a room move. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were cleaned every day, restaurant attached to hotel was fantastic, we ended up eating there every night, their theme nights were excellent, the manager was so incredibly friendly. The views from the restaurant were stunning, especially during the full moon festival. You do get what you pay for, it s a cheap hotel but there is so much to do that the comfy bed you get every night. This place is highly recommended and I would love to go back soon."

Karen said, "Lovely location right on the beachfront, great swimming. Beautiful beach and plenty of deckchairs at this time of year. Friendly staff. The beachfront restaurant was nice and seemed reasonable. Breakfast was great too. The hotel room I the bungalows are well used.But the staff is wonderful.always smiling and helping in anyway they can to make you feel good.We will bee back!"

Carsten said, "This vas the 2rd. time visit this resort. There was no complans too the resot everything was good. The staff where very friendly and helpfull.We had booked this resort onlin through Sawadee.com and had no problems what so ever. We where meet at the airport and drives to the resort. It was a very good resort and we will juse again."

Terrence said, "We were only at the resort for one day, but had a very favorable impression. The staff were all most friendly and helpful. The location is great for Lamai Beach, and we really enjoyed visiting the shops and restaurants along the road. We were there 4 years ago, and this is still our favorite area on Samui!"

Sabine said, "Gute Lage ,Anlage O.K.,gutes Frühstück,Top Strand (Liegen),freundliches Personal.Leider haben wir nicht sofort unseren gebuchten Bungalow erhalten und muÃYten 3 Tage in einem Loch von Zimmer übernachten (Gestank u. Ungeziefer). Bungalow O.k., Terasse leider nicht nutzbar da Klima-Kompressor vom anderen Bungalow direkt davor gebaut, daÃY war sehr, sehr schade!"

Jacques said, "Not happy about the room (2nd floor) : pretty old, not so clean, very noisy AC system, plus the noise of another motor (power generator ?) close enough to the room to make nights a good reminder of the city life I was trying to escape for a while..."

Udo said, "Same Same wie letztes Jahr. Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Bungalows ausreichend. Hervorragende Lage. Frühstück absolut in Ordnung. Hatten allerdings nicht den Bungalow erhalten, den wir vorgebucht hatten."

Rafael said, "Don;t let your self carried out by the first impression of the Hotel We stay at the bungallo and it was a beatiful time, the food , and the people very helpfull, very clean and central in Lamai beach, the last comment is very good value for money"

David said, "excellent hotel, good rooms and breakfast. Nice swimming pool, BUT, there is a swimming pool because the beach is not always suitable for bath !When I was there, water was not clear nor calm AT ALL, and water over head after a few paths...Their transport from airport is very expensive their internet connection also.A nice place."

Beverley said, "Great location! Beautiful beach! Accommodation left a great deal to be desired. Bungalows poor. Lighting would have been 25watt per globe, no T.V. no coffee/tea making facility, no clock/radio. Our bungalow fronted the garbage from the restuarant. We requested (and received) relocation to a room with balcony, TV & pool view.The whole facility is in need of maintenance to bring it above a backpacker facility."

Dana said, "Nice, clean place, really close to the beach. We did however pay for transfer from the airport which we didn t get, and we were charged for some items from the minibar which we did not take.....so watch out! Other than that a beautiful and idyllic place!"
