Michael stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-07-08 and said, "What a disgrace, I booked the hotel over the internet and luckly I only paid for one night so I was able to check out the next day and stay somewhere a little more nice. The Samui lagoon bay is not worth to be acclaimed 3 star and is more like a half star hotel the pool looks nothing like the one on the website the cabins have poor security as they do not even have proper locks on the doors and the bathroom is grotesque. Also it is far out of town and not near much at all.....this hotel was one of the worst that I have stayed at however I highly recommend the baan Chawang beach resort and spa for near the same price it was fantastic right in the middle of everything, we stayed there for the rest of our stay and will come back for sure."
JOSEPH stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-06-20 and said, "Very good mid range hotel. Big rooms, nice bathroom and quite a few mod cons. This seems to be the way on Chewang beach mind. Places like this are probably why people stay longer than expected on the islands... Howver, not much of the atmosphere that I felt on Phag Nan"
Lee stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-06-15 and said, "This hotel was recommended to me by a good friend . . . and we must say it was a GREAT VALUE for money !! We stayed in one of the poolside bungalows for 6 nights and everything was simply perfect - nice beach, good location, friendly staff, amenities were simple but functional, rooms are clean and the guests are all friendly too. We will definitely stay at the Lagoon Bay again on our next visit to Samui. Excellent Stay."
Ã…sa stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-06-09 and said, "I stayed at a beachfront bungalow and it was lovely! Very priceworthy! The beds are huge and the cleaning is perfect. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool very clean and my kids loved it. I will definitely come back. Asa from Sweden"
Tai stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-05-31 and said, "Hotel overall is quite comfortable. A bit run down & the shower flow is quite slow. Could do some clean up esp. below the bungalow. Don t be late at check out, fined THB200 for less than an hour late."
Paula stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-04-21 and said, "i felt the hotel was in a beautiful spot, but the hotel it s self could do with a revamp... plus the staff are very young and not customer service friendly!!!!"
Karen stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-04-12 and said, "I would like to say that Samui Lagoon Bay was a perfect place to spend my first experience of Thailand and would recommend it to anyone. We stayed in Bungalow A2 and found it very clean and spacious. All staff, especially Mi, were exceptionally friendly and made our stay very pleasurable."
Wade stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-04-11 and said, "Checked in and had checked out again within the hour. We just didnt feel safe. Could not get the safe to work the lock on the door could have been kicked open and the whole of the front of the bungalow was windows. Room was genrally quite grotty so we went back to AKWA which was fantastic!"
Tebib stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-04-09 and said, "hotel simple mais tres bien tres aceuillant et les gens tres poli plage super piscine petite mais sympa aller les yeux fermer vous serez pas decu"

YuChyi stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-03-14 and said, "Hotel is well managed. Room is very nice, clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly. Location is good, right on the beach. Bophut is quiet town and yet offer everything you need. Also not too far from Chaweng beach. Definitely will come back."
Ahmed stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-03-13 and said, "the location is excellent but the Bungalows is not well maintained and there and the price is expensive for such place."
Majki stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-03-11 and said, "Sorry but it´s not worth the money. The place is old and ruff. We had an oceanview bungalow by the pool and the furnishing was worn out, poor and of low quality. We paid 2200 baht and that didn´t even include breakfast! The staff in the restaurant was more interested in watching the TV than serve the guests. They should be taught english to be able to serve the guests. Unfortunately we can´t recommend this hotel."
David stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-03-09 and said, "The bungalows are somewhat close together but still offer a secluded garden feel. Very clean and spacious accomodation with excellent daily maid service. Nice pool stepping down onto the beach. Varied good quality menu in the terrace restaurant, but it can be somewhat breezy at times. Good value for money."
J stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-02-17 and said, "having viewed the resort on the web we were slightly dissapointed, whilst the sheets and room were very clean, the shower did not work properly, the windows were unclean, the garden was very overgrown and so you could not capture the true picture. however the upside is that the beach was very close and staff very friendly."
Sam stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-02-16 and said, "We, two adults and three kids between 15 and 5, stayed here for a time of 14 days. All in the staff were very friendly, especially at the reception. One of the breakfast-staff was so totally miss-placed!Even when he wrote down our breakfast-orders, he got everything wrong!Every day!The maintenance was good. The Lagoon Bay had securities patrolling all night long, but the locks at the bungalows were ridiculous. Even my 12-year old son could force the door without any problems. Above the main-door was a gap about an inch big, three meters wide! You can guess if the mosquitoes like d it/us!The hotels part of the beach were very nice, and the pool were excellent when the waves were to big for the smallest of our kids. The thai-massage team were very friendly and tryed to do their best every day. The quality of the hotels food was in our opinion very good. This may sounds like we were disappointed, but we weren t!We would love to go back here again!Pia & Sam from Sweden"
Susy stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-02-16 and said, "The bungalows was nice and clean.Nice pool area and right by the beach!Very good! The restaurant not soo good, the staff like to look at the TV more than take care off the customers!"
HUANG stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-02-11 and said, "This one is good price and performance. And all the people are very greeting and helpful."
Rhona stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-02-08 and said, "What a dump, our room had a broken window and the pool area looks nothing like the photos, its way down the end of the beach and the staff were not friendly. We stayed one night cause we d already paid for it then left."
Lauren stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-02-03 and said, "The hotel was excellent! Clean and tidy and the people wre very friendly. Would love to go again! Thank You"
MARTINE stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-01-28 and said, "We have stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on several occasions during the past 7 years. Everything here is perfect. The rooms are clean and big enough for even small family. The resort staff are very friendly and always there to help. The food is also good and reasonable. This year we did notice that our usual gardenview bungalow had become shaded by the plants which appeared a little overgrown and we both felt that a good pruning would benefit Lagoon Bay. Excellent place to stay deffinately recommended."
I stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-01-24 and said, "Hotel is in great location. rooms are ok, big in size, not super clean. towels and sheets were dirty. pool looked green. Cafe staff were great. reception staff were not so great- rude, lacked basic english, forgot to provide us with wake up calls and lacked any manners. However, aoverall i would recomend it due to lcoation- right on the beach and the fact that it is cheap and cleaner than other similar places in samui. families seemed to be having great time at the pool."
Andrey stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-01-19 and said, "The Rest here we liked. The Price corresponds to the level calve."
Vlatko stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-01-10 and said, "Great resort on a fabulous location, quiet, clean with well equipped bungalows. Air conditioning, fridge, big bathroom, king size bed, night beach restaurant Overall great!!"
Athina stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2008-01-01 and said, "Upon arrival we were requested to pay a higher price per night than we had received in our booking confirmation. The lady in the reception could not speak any english at all which resulted in an hour long discussion at midnight with two very tired children, the lady was not serviceminded at all. When we finally came to an understanding she declared than they did not accept american express cards (even though it is stated in the booking and payment confirmation from sawadee.com that they do!). This resulted in an extra charge of 7%! When we finnaly checked in to our beachfront bungalow we were very disappointed by the appearence of the room. All furniture was blackened with mould, we had a lot of ants everywhere and sand from the nearby beach all over the floor. Our two children had to share a matress on the floor! The bathroom door locked itself the first morning so that we were not able to enter. I asked for help at the reception three times and it took the management three hours to send someone to open the door (they never managed - they had to destroy the lock). The shower was a joke, no pressure at all and very little water - it was a nightmare to wash our daugther s long hair. The beach was very dirty with construction areas everywhere with constructiondebree all over and the garden surrounding the hotel has overgrown into a jungle - the pictures on sawadee.som must have been taken twenty years ago!By this time we had decided to change to a more comfortable, tidy and more welcoming resort. We changed to Lamai beach and we were very welcomed by the Weekender Resort, excellent service, really nice rooms and a nice beach with thai-massage, sunchairs and umbrellas enough for everyone, breakfast included. What a difference and to the same price!!Nice restaurants and shopping just outside the hotel. We do not recommend the Samui Lagoon Bay to families with children."
Anke stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2007-12-29 and said, "rooms are large and clean, towels are changed every day, staff at the restaurant lazy and not engaged (prefers watching TV very loud instead of serving guests), staff at reception extremly unfriendly and uncooperative (required payment in advance without showing the room even we had made a deposit already). When checking in they guaranted checkout time at 5 pm, when checking out at 3 o´clock they tried to charge for delayed checking out per hour. Definetively a no go."
Yi stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2007-12-09 and said, "Lovely place to stay, beautiful ocean view, quiet beach, definitely would come back again."
Holger stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2007-12-05 and said, "Rooms are not anymore in the best conditions, aircondition worked just at 20% but fairy surounding and easy to pass the nice beach."
rhys stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2007-12-03 and said, "great place just down the beach from the main part of chadweng beach. if u want clean friendly and beach front for cheap its here u want to go. massage is cheap and on the beach and its out of the way from the flight path. there is a safe in the room and its tops. nice gardens. enjoyed thouroughly. great food here too"
Lars stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2007-12-03 and said, "We found Lagoon bay on internet at home. that was out first stay at samui. We are satisfied with the resort. Nice bungalows, good location not in the most crowded area of chaweng but anyway close to everything. Nice friendly staff. We liked it and we might return. / Daniel Sweden."
EL stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2007-11-22 and said, "On Chaweng beach, but a lil out of the way where the action is. which was perfect for our holiday - quiet, clean, pleasant, friendly and yet walkable to chaweng central. The hotel beach was clean and not too crowded. Pool was decent too. Great place for families. Will probably stay there again."
N stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2007-11-21 and said, "This hotel is located on the southern part of Chaweng beach, slightly away from the hustle and bustle of central Chaweng. It is definitely a roughing it type of establishment, smack in the middle of a lush garden (if you don t like ducking under trees and dense foliage to get to your bungalow, nor the odd critter crawling around as a result, I would not recommend it). The pool and beachfront were acceptable (nothing outstanding) while the room had the bare essentials and nothing more to it (mattress was hard). Breakfast was not included, an extra 150B per day. (restaurant did not look to inviting...). We would not stay there again."
Mariusz stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2007-10-24 and said, "Very nice place. I enyoyed my stay there. Bungalows were clean and well furnished. And the garden outside... Really beautifull :)"
Alex stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2007-10-24 and said, "This is the place that ruined my impression of Samui. When I arrived I have to wait for 15 mins at the reception for someone to even talk to me. When the receptionist for the afternoon shift arrived and saw me, she just ignored me and went about her own business. It is only after another staffer told her something did she reluctantly and glumly attend to me. Payment for the full duration of the stay was demanded upfront. This is a bit strange in Thai and I wondered why. Only after staying there for a night did I understand why. Heaps of guests must be checking out after 1 night and so the hotel is demanding full payment upfront. The room is basic in its furnishing, which is a bit disappointing given the price I m paying. Security is an issue. I had a stranger trying to open my door when I was sleeping inside in the late afternoon. He obviously didn t see me and is definitely looking to do some thieving. Last straw was when workers started carrying out repair work on my bungalow s roof at 9 in the morning.. whatever happened to commonsense? Oh and did I mentioned the Oceanview bungalow I stayed in only have a little view of the ocean? Most of the view is of the bungalow in front of mine. Not surprisingly I checked out after one night and as expected, there is a no refund policy. Stay clear of this place if you do not want your holidays in Samui ruined. Incidentally, the owner of the Internet Cafe nearby mentioned that I am not the first person to have problems with this resort.."
Charlene stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2007-10-24 and said, "Fabulous location, situated right on the Chaweng Beach, but only 10 mins walk along the beach from the Hustle & Bustle. On the Street side there is plenty of shops, bars, restraunts etc. We booked Oceanview Bungalow, which is amazing views, but located at the shore, it was a task walking thru the Gardens which resembled more of a Overgrown Jungle. I hope this was only because it was October Low Season?! The rooms are getting tired looking, but spacious. We did however have to request they cleaned the bathroom & sprayed insect repellent upon check in. Overall it was a succesful but short stay here. I wouldnt stay there again... We stayed at Chaweng Garden Hotel & Resort on our return from Koh Phangan, which was 1400baht a night for a better room & wilder location, only a step away from the clubs & Bars, so if its a lively location you seek, try Chaweng Garden, otherwise Samui Lagoon scores 5/10 from our eyes."
Liza stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2007-10-22 and said, "Hello! Relaxed in this magnificent hotel with a 23.10 on 6.11.2007, well .... say that the hotel is like! Located Good! Very large numbers, which is very great! But very old furniture! Well territory, it is a lot of greenery:))) Next time, be sure to go back there again!"
Eva, stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2007-10-19 and said, "We stayed in Samui Lagoon Bay in October 2007 and we were very satisfied. Hotel is very nice, situated in beautiful tropical garden on very nice quiet beach. Rooms were very clean, quite big and very comfortable. Hotel staff is friendly and polite, everyday they clean rooms and change towels. It is the best deal for such price one can get I believe. I will definitely return there again."
fausto stayed at Samui Lagoon Bay on 2007-08-24 and said, "This is the second time we return at Lagoon bay. Good position in a tropical garden, bungalows are very spacious and clean with excellent service."
