The place was clean food was great and it was close walk to everything e.g. Beach, shops and night life. Any noise from the surrounding area was basically nil.Pool not the biggest but does the job after a few drinks. Usual practice if sun lounge seats not being used and have towels on them, get the fairy’s to remove the towels then act like a deaf beached whale. All in all the missus and I had a great time there. For Price / Location / Facilities etc it’s a wee gem of a package."

GARY said, "Excellent little hotel, set just up from the boxing stadium. It s right beside all the nightlife but there is no problems with noisy music etc from the bars. The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean, with a big comfortable bed. Nice little pool, but the four sunloungers are usually Gerried out, so get your towel out early. Seriously a little consideration from other guest would allow everyone to use the pool area at sometime during the day. Pleasent staff, who made you feel welcome, would have no problem recomending this hotel to anyone."

Pete said, "This was our 2nd stay at here. It is still a great place to stay.Our only 2 negative comments would be that the staff did not appear to be as friendly as they were on our previous stay. Also our room was cleaned pretty late in the afternoon, around 3 pm.But we would still recommend this hotel."

Hotel is more or less new, everything is nice, clean and the owner familiy very friendly, very good service and all in all really good value for money. Good aircon and fridge, cleaning every day. Would stay there again."

Jakob said, "I arrived with the latest plain. Jimmy, the manager, picked me up and brought me in his new Ford Focus to the hotel. He is young, educated, and speaks perfect English. He organizes everything for you (snorkelling, motorbike, full moon party, etc.) at reasonable prices. The hotel is located within walking distance from amusement and beach - big plus, especially at night-time. The building is brand-new, the rooms are nice and clean. Impeccable daily room service (fresh towels). They cook good and charge fair prices. I especially enjoyed the sandwich (ham, cheese, and salad) together with a well temperated Singha Beer at the pool side. I had reserved for four nights. Having checked other places I stood eventually for 10 days. In summary, for me it was just right, and I would come back immediately."

Food was excellent and the swimming pool was ALWAYS kept well cleaned .The position behind the boxing stadium is NO problem at all as we were never disturbed by it .We would definitely recommend this guesthouse and would be quite happy to go there again ."

The driver had no problems finding it. Just say, near thai boxing stadium, Lamai. It s great that the rooms are fully equipped with aircon, fridge, tv, dvd and wireless internet access ( prepaid wifi cards available at the reception). The hotel is very clean, fresh towels every day. I can highly recommend this hotel to everyone who likes to stay in Lamai."

Riccardo said, "I spent 8 nights in this recently built hotel. The location is ideal, very close to restaurants and bars, but at the same time not at all noisy during the night. The rooms are extremely clean, with satellite TV channels and even a DVD player. The swimming pool, although a bit tiny, is marvellous and also very clean.It is a Thai family-run hotel, the owners are lovely people and all speak excellent English (mother tongue level).I would definitely return to Hathai House if I ever decided to spend another holiday in Lamai Beach."

Fournier said, "Perfectly located 5 minutes away from the central Lamai beach (the best part of the beach, clean and non rocky), in a quiet and green environment (though it s also 5 minutes to the bar scene.Great swimming pool (clean and long and deep enough to really swim).Warm welcome from the familly owning it.The room is large well furnished and serviced (Tv, dvd player, safe, a table and 2 armchairs).Bathroom small with shower only, but fairly enough for our needs.Housekeeping perfectly done everyday (ground washed and not only swept).The hotel is really cute and and you feel really good there.I definitely recommend it, if you re looking for a cheaper alternative (2 to 4 times cheaper) than the resorts lining the beachfront of Lamai."

Ng said, "Very clean with a nice small pool. We can walk from our room to the G/F without wearing shoes. The owner are very friendly, family business and located at the end of the beach. 5 mins walk to lamai beach. If you ride motor cycle, it s convenient. 4. mins to Nathon Beach and 20 mins to Chewage Beach. Add 100 bhats to have basic breakfast, i.e. toast, jam, tea/coffee. I would prefer to have the breakfast at local market within 5 mins for riding. The big problem was many ants if you dropped some food or sweet drinks on the floor. That s why the hotel is very clean, the guest also have to keep the same thing. If you are first visit to Samui, it is better to have the pick up services at 200 Bhats/person as the hotel is very new, just operated for 7 months. No body know that. They can arrange everything for you, i.e. local tour, bus ticket, etc. It s better to ask their opinium for planning the trip. If you choose to swim before evening time, it s like to stay in a villa with your own pool. If I will come again, I surely stay in Hathai house again and again.We said, "My husband and I spent 6 nights at Hathai house along with a friend. We had the most AWESOME holiday and would like to thank Jimmy and his family for making our holiday special. Hathai House is wonderful, really clean, excellent swimming pool, 5 minutes walk from the beach and shops. The rooms are excellent - great air con!!Great meals and everyone there is just so helpful. Our heartfelt thanks to everyone. We will definitely be back."

Aysen said, "Jimmy, the hotel owner, came to pick us up from the airport and from that moment on we knew we were going to have a wonderful time on Koh Samui. And things only got better from that moment on. Spotless rooms, wonderful pool, good advice about what to see and how to reach, and the earlier mentioned extensive collection of complimentary DVDs, but possibly the best asset of Hathai House is what maybe not all the guests don t experience: Their kitchen. Jimmy s cousin, Noo, is a cook with a capital c . Whether you want authentic Thai, Chinese (the ribs Jimmy-style) or even if you miss something from home , she just manages to make it better than you ve ever eaten it before. One evening, we ordered an off the menu lobster with ginger and garlic and it was a true feast. Thanks for everything and hopefully till soon again!"

Chai said, "Excellent place to stay at Lamai beach. Although is not located right in front of the beach, it makes up for the great hospitality. My taxi driver had some problems locating the place though since it s brand new (just opened for 6 months). I mistakenly made a reservation for September instead of July, but the staffs are kind enough to see that I get a room within 5 minutes. Rooms are clean, well equipped with a/c, hot shower, TV and a refrigerator. Two thumbs up!"

Susanne said, "This hotel is new, very clean and a short walk away from Lamai Beach (seven minutes; five if you run!!!) The food is a bit pricey, as to be expected of hotel food, but is DELICIOUS (I highly recommend the chicken wings in Chef s sauce and the BBQ spare ribs - YUM!) There are a couple of other hotels in the area in the same price range, but Hathai House has them all beat because it has a POOL! I would definitely stay there again. DVD collection at the front desk for free viewing in your room is a plus too. Highly recommended!"

The beds are comfortable and have duvets.It is ideally located. the beach is 7 minutes walk away and the nightlife is 2 minutes away. Though the nighlife is close by, you do not get disturbed by it.I would recommend this hotel and will definately be staying again.It is true value for money."
