Meghan stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2008-02-03 and said, "I stayed at the hotel with a friend of mine in early feb. we were overall happy with the location and set up of the hotel, but were a little suprised by the make up of the guests. The hotel was situated on the north end of chewang beach. we liked this b/c it is more removed from the people peddling their goods and other beach traffic. We stayed in the middle tier room (which was described as much bigger than it really was) and i would say other than being closer to the pool was no better than the lowest level room. i would have downgraded for the $100/night difference. as for the pool, it was beautiful and looked right out over the water, but it got quite crowded in the morning (cleared out every afternoon) and there were a TON of children. we didn t expect so many families. it got quite loud at times and kids were running up and down the decks. the food at the hotel was excellent, if you love good itallian, and there were many other good places to eat around it. the hotel also made taxi accomoations easy. they actually had someone on hand to take you anywhere. the people at the hotel were also very helpful and pleasing. overall, i would recommend the hotel. no room will offer a view of the water (unless you are in the top room which i wouldn t recommend b/c it is right on the pool). regardless of the pool being busy, we never were not able to get a chair in the sun or the shade, whatever our preference."
Martine stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2008-01-03 and said, "The hotel was perfect for our needs. It was small and personal. the rooms were a great size and the restaurant was excellent. I highly recommend it."
Gunes stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2008-01-02 and said, "Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Nice, relaxing, detailed landscaping. Room decoration and facilities are high standard and have taste. Hotel amneties high standard (note: no fitness facilities). A disadvantage would be the location, as hotel is situated at the northern tip of the Chaweng Beach, so transport to center should be by vehicles unless you are very athletic. Another minus would be that this hotel, even though located at the beach, does not have any sand beach, maybe the only beach resort in Chaweng without a sand beach."
Keith stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2007-12-04 and said, "lovely hotel, with great attentive staff. Food is excellent, although you can get cheaper in Chaweng. Music while you eat could be improved! We had a villa and it was amazing, clean and well looked after, would go back!"
Keith stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2007-12-04 and said, "Pleasenet staff / cramped hotel with large rooms in need of refurb. A/C nisy and inefficient. No beach a real disadvantage / food only average for breakfast. Recommend the Nora Beach Hotel 100m to the north brilliant and same cost. Better hotels for the price around the north."
Richard stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2007-09-22 and said, "Great relaxing place - we have been to Samui three times and this was by far the nicest spot - Hotel & staff superb location - very quite - yet only a walk on the beach to get to the nightspots - ofr an inexpensive cab ride away. I hope to return same time next year -for a truly relaxing 12 days. They treated us like movie stars - and we felt great."
Reuben stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2007-09-09 and said, "A very nice resort. From check in to check out and everything in between my stay was very enjoyable. The staff at this resort are a little shy at first but once you talk a little thai with them (sawat dii khrap is enough, that is not to say they cannot speak English because they can and very well) they soon become very friendly and helpful. They are in the most part very professional and generally a pleasure to have around. The rooms are clean, new, spacious and very well equipped. The restaurant is very good, breakfast is great. Dinner is fine but not enough of a selection of Thai food for me but that s my personal opinion (the restaurant is mainly Italian). The pool is nice - a great place to spend a day doing not much of anything. There are plenty of places to get a good Thai massage on the beach a short walk away. The resort is at the extreme northern end of Chaweng and as such is quite a long way from the centre of Chaweng and the associated dining and bars etc. however, there are some great restaurants a little way along the beach and the hotel has four free shuttles to the centre of Chaweng avery day. The beach is fine but not as nice as the southern end of Chaweng, this would not stop me from going back though. If you want a quiet romantic holiday with every convenience at your fingertips this is the place for you. Recommended."
Maure stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2007-07-21 and said, "Very good hotel : nice location (probably the best part of Chaweng beach, quiet and nice beach), very efficient and friendly staff, very good international breakfast.Nevertheless, the swimming pool is a bit small, and it may be problemtic in high season (the number of sun bed is limited as well).Transfert from/to the airport: the hotel requests 250 baths per person and we paid 200 baths (for 4 persons) using a taxi !In such high standing hotel, transfert from/to the airport should be complimentary (it takes 5 to 10 minutes.)"
Anthony stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2007-05-09 and said, "This is the second time we stayed in the Baad Haad Ngam so it must be good. Everything was excellent, we stayed in a room as we have seen the villas and there is not much difference between the two.Staff are excellent, resort is excellent and well maintained. There would be one reason I wouldn t stay there again and that would be the lack of swimmable ocean in front of the hotel, however the pool is excellent."
Kaichun stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2007-05-03 and said, "The position of this hotel is in the north end of Chaweng. Although it s away from the noisy and busy Chaweng center, 30 min walk only. It did have a very quite and clean beachs that no other hotels on the Chaweng have. The interior design of the room is quite contemporary. The view of the famous Italian restaurant is gorgeous. We ve had a great time enjoying the infinite pool in the hotel. We will definitely come back to this hotel next time when we visit Samui."
Nichole stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2007-03-13 and said, "We had a very nice time here at this resort. We went during the month of march and was very disappointed at first to see that there wasn t really a typical beach in front of the resort, but more of a large mud flat, and during high tide the water covered the entire beach/mud flat. After being there for about 2 weeks, we decided it was actually one of the best resorts to stay at because you got the best of both worlds, a really great swimming pool, and then a beach just a few steps down. We enjoyed our stay here immensely and would choose this hotel again over the others we saw. The staff was outstanding, most of them spoke english very well, and they always said hello and were friendly. The room/maid service was outstanding, the only problem with the rooms we had were the water didn t have the most pleasant of aromas. Oh well, I suppose its the price you pay. Overall, I would definately recommend this resort to anyone."
Stuart stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2007-02-11 and said, "Excellent hotel, very good standard, great views, a little too far along the beach for me (too far from the night life) but otherwise no complaints."
Rudy stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2007-02-09 and said, "Great hotel, quiet and cozy. Best looking pool on Chaweng. Good service. too remote from the main venues of Samui - for those who seek it."
JEROME stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2006-10-24 and said, "The best place to stay in SAMUI !!! very nice place, in front of the beach.Very good welcome, staff very kind, rooms very clean and always perfect condition. SPA hight prices !"
Hysham stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2006-05-14 and said, "Place was fantastic... the best white sandy beach, and the best infinity pool that overlooks the water... Also very well-maintained rooms, very tastefully done with fantastic ambience and very friendly service from all the staff up to the GM. Overall a very enjoyable experience!!"
Jeffrey stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2006-02-27 and said, "This was our first time on Samui and we were very pleased with this hotel. The service is excellent and the rooms are lovely. Chaweng Beach is nice, though keep in my mind that the beach in front of the Baan Haad is not the best. During high tide the tide actually reaches the retaining wall at the pool and restaurant, so there is no beach. The pool is beautiful and the breakfast service is very good."
Thailand stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2006-02-16 and said, "Wonderful resort! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful when it came to figuring out my transportation to the Koh Tao ferry. We stayed in a Deluxe villa which was well worth the money. We had our own little unit with a beautiful bathroom and jacuzzi tub. The hotel is located on the very north end of Chaweng Beach, so away from the dirt and chaos of the beach. But on the downside, it s a longer walk on the beach to get into town."
David stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2006-01-02 and said, "I can only agree with the majority of comments made so far, both positive and negative. We were staying in the Exec Villa right next to the pool and the restaurant. Positives - very relaxing, nice pool, friendly and helpful staff, the room was really nicely designed and laid out and all the good touches (outdoor jaccuzzi, flowers on the bed, etc.) mentioned in other comments made the hotel stand out.Negatives - it didn t really bother me but it really is right at the end of the beach and the tide times meant the beach was under a few inches of water during all of the daylight hours we were there, room lighting was too dim for packing but otherwise very relaxing for the actual holiday, proximity to the restaurant - no issues at night but the music in the restaurant woke me up a few times.Overall the experience was very positive and I would be happy to stay there again."
Lisa stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-12-15 and said, "Nice cosy hotel, clean and well kept rooms. Staff were friendly and service was good at the restaurant. Only complaints are that hot water wasn t constant even during a short shower and the hotel was further away than expected from busier main Chaweng area but transport was easy to get from the road. Would stay here again."
Linda stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-12-05 and said, "Nice little boutique hotel, need tuk tuk to down town, walking is not advisable.Lovely pool, excellent coffee at breakfast.Nice room with balcony overlooking the opposite block. Friendly staff remembered what we like for breakfast. This hotel is good for honeymooners, not advisable for children."
Viveca stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-10-30 and said, "My husband and I spent the last part of our honeymoon at Bann Haad Ngam. What a beautiful hotel! The rooms were extremely comfortable, the food was delicious, and the spa amazing and very nicely priced! We highly recommend this hotel and will most definitely stay here again the next time we are in Koh Samui!"
Annelise stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-10-26 and said, "Really enjoyed our stay here for our honeymoon. Good rooms, clean. Friendly staff, really great for couples. I personally could not fault it, its a walk into the centre of town but very easy and enjoyable along the beach."
Magnus stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-10-15 and said, "HelloI have just returned from a fantastic week at Baan Haad Ngam, and I would definetly recommend this resort. The rooms are spacious and nice, the resort itself is beautiful with a small waterfall and garden. Top notch restaurant, a little expensive, but the food is fantastic (Italian and Thai food). Breakfast is also very good. The pool is second only to Sila Evanson. The staff and atmosphere makes the whole difference. Superb!"
Mei-Lin stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-10-08 and said, "BEAUTIFUL! FANTASTIC! AMAZING! What a great way to end our Thailand holiday! The resort exceeded all our expectations! The photos on the web site don t give the place justice - the resort is simply stunning. Perfect, peacful location at the top end of Chaweng Beach - away from the hustle and bustle, but still only a short walking distance (on the beach or by road)from the hub. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delectable and the coffee was the best. The resort has it s own day spa - well worth a visit. We treated ourselves to a 2.5 hour amazing relazing detox. The spa staff were very skilled with the utmost professionalism. Our room was clean, romantic and just perfect (although I do agree it was a little dark, the dimness complimented the ambience of the environment we were in). Fresh flowers on the bed each day was a nice touch. Jacuzzi was very large and roomy. Our room was on a corner of the top floor (street level), which was perfect for us - the only noise we heard was the calming flow of the water feature outside. Would not have liked to stay in the villas as some of them were in a main throughfare leading to the restaurant, the pool and the beach. The infinity pool was the best, with the most picture perfect view over Chaweng Beach and the surrounding islands. Hire a kayak from the hotel and go paddling! Happy hour everyday was a big hit with 2 for 1 drink from 5-7, laze around sipping cocktails and enjoying complimentary nibbles - we were in heaven! We d definitely recommend Baan Haad Ngam and can t wait to come back again!!"

Jesus stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-09-10 and said, "Best holel I have ever visit. Little quiet, confortable and with one of the best (is not the best) italian restaurants in the island. Is incredible the views from its swimmming-pool (only one step betwen it and the beach). The room was icredible also, i will never forget its jacutzi. A bit far from center (I love the 15 min walking on the beach). Thank you."
Jason stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-08-21 and said, "wonderful, beautiful and relaxing. the perfect place to stay for those who are looking for an amazing boutique resort that is located near the action, but not in the middle of it. the rooms are beautifully decorated as are the grounds. it is obvious that some thought went into the lanscaping and aesthetics of the decor :)the staff was friendly, helpful and quick to meet your needs. we highly recommend dining at the hotel restaurant Olivio. delicious food, artful presentation and enough to fill an appetite after a day of sunning, snorkeling and shopping. the room service was great too!we stayed here during our honeymoon and the staff and GM went out of their way to help make it wonderfully memorable. thank you michael!!!!"
Dr.Christopher stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-08-08 and said, "A very beautiful & charming hotel. We booked for 3 days-loved the hotel-the setting & the caring staff so much that we stayed for another 14 days. A great place -a great holiday. The cuisine at Olivio was superb."
Bill stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-06-24 and said, "This is our third stay at the Baan Haad Ngam and definitely not our last. The hotel is beaitufully appointed, the restaurant one of the best on the island. The hotel is positioned far enough away to retain its own sense of calm however it is a short journey to the beaches and shopping. Most unforgettable are the staff many of which remembered us from our previous stays."
Takeaki stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-06-05 and said, "I also think great Hotel. Clean, neat, organized. Staff are extremely courteous and helpful. I arrived early and was checked in immediately at no extra charge. However, hotel is set away from the main street bustle of chaweng beach without being inconveniently. ABF was another charge.I would not know book same hotel again."
Smita stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-06-04 and said, "Great Hotel. Clean, neat, organized. Staff are extremely courteous and helpful. I arrived early and was checked in immediately at no extra charge. hotel is set away from the main street bustle of chaweng beach without being inconveniently so. would book same hotel again"
Lora stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-06-01 and said, "This hotel is located on the most beautiful spot on the beach. I didn t want to leave the hotel. The service was also exceptional, and the food was good. The rooms are dark, and there is little drawer space, but the rooms are nice. The water coming out of the water faucet in the jacuzzi was not clean. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel."
Philip stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-05-23 and said, "Excellent location, not quite in the hustle & bustle area but only a short walk away. Super villas and fantastic staff. Would recommend to anyone. Just avoid a room adjacent to the through road."
John stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-03-30 and said, "The hotel is situated in the quiet end of Chaweng. First impressions were good, the front desk staff were excellent. We stayed in a villa which was lovely however, our only criticism of the villa was that every time we left it we had to take the key to lock up and that shut off the air-con. When we returned the heat was unbearable and the a/con took some time to cool the room. The breakfasts which were included in our deal were no better than mediocre and on the first morning the chairs were dirty and had food on from either the night before or earlier breakfast guests. We had some lunches there but as lovers of Thai food we did not have dinners as primarily it was an Italian restaurant with an Italian owner/chef and Italian food. The pool was lovely but the huge and I mean huge numbers of chairs around the perimeter made it very crowded and to be honest not very nice. There was also little shade for the non sun worshippers. All in all. for the money we spent for a luxury villa I did not think that the hotel was value for money.Maybe if we had spent half the price on a room then it would have been OK, but what most hotels should strive for is to set standards for the guests who pay the most money for their rooms, then those guests will not be disappointed.Baan Haad Ngam standards are 3 star with 5 star prices for their villas. We would not stay again."
Kevin stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-03-28 and said, "The resort is very peaceful and at a quiet end of Chaweng beach, a short stroll takes you to Chaweng town itself. The room was very nicely appointed, the only problem we had was with the Jacuzzi having cool water not hot. Food was great and staff very pleasent and helpful - they organized the shipping of some forgotten luggage to meet us in Bangkok, many thanks for that."
Alexandra stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-02-16 and said, "the hotel was just wonderful. excellent service and great very stylish rooms. we went for a superior room, which fully met our expectations, as the chalets are more expensive, but not more private, since everybody passes them on the way to the beach. the restaurant was o.k., there are a lot better - also italian - places to eat. breakfast was ok, nothing extraordinary in particular. luigi, the chef, is not all that great, i would say his food is pretty mediocre. the beach was so and so: depending on the tidal sometimes a bit dirty and sometimes crystalclear (but this phenomenon affects most of chaweng beach!) the staff was trying to keep the beach clean, but didn t always succeed. therefore we spent most of the time at the pool, which was just wonderful. druing our staying we didn t see any other place, where would have liked to stay, therefore i can only highly recommend this hotel."
R stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-02-14 and said, "Lovely resort and a fantastic Italian restuarant. The hotel staff were very friendly. Only one critisim, most of the sunbeds were reserved by people leaving towels on the sunbeds all day but not even using them. Not sure what the hotel can do about this but it was very frustrating."
Robin stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-02-11 and said, "Our second time at this lovely resort and would have no hesitation returning again.Perfect place for couples, gay or straight- very romantic- what a boutique resort should be! lovely pool, simply and elegantly designed rooms and gardens, staff who are always attentive and charming. I hate to stay in large hotels where you re just another bed night- BHN is small and intimate. Also great location- quiet end of the beach but easy to get in to the centre of things."
Mrs. stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-02-05 and said, "Very cute small resort. Only one with a pool right in front of the beach. Staff is friendly and helpful. Book rooms upstairs only. It could be quite dark on the first floor. My only problem is there is not enough lighting in the room. It is awfully dark. I was trying to organize my suitcase, but was not able to see. Recommend."
norman stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-02-03 and said, "Great spot. We stayed in the cottages, closer to the beach, and more boutique. Best part of the beach, as it is quiet and had the best swimming. Excellent service, great food, and personal staff. Rooms were up to standard and worth the price. 40 Baht ride into the main drag by small busses that pass evey 2 minutes. 4Star for sure"
Graham stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-01-26 and said, "The service was fantastic and the staff very friendly .The accomadation was of the best standard .This is the quiet end of the beach, and allows you to chill out.It was loverly walking the beach at night time."
Rachel stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-01-22 and said, "Hotel was great, a lovely quite location on Chaweng beach. The staff at the hotel were excellent, very helpful and friendly. I would definietly recomment this hotel."
Helen stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2005-01-05 and said, "Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel was wonderful, a small and sophisticated oasis at the north end of Chewang beach. Very mellow and romantic. We stayed in one of the standard rooms, it looked just like the photos on the website, cool and calming to come back to after a hard morning of sunbathing! The landscaping is beautiful and clever. Our room was on the bottom corner of one of the blocks and I was worried it would seem very exposed, but I never got that impression (though I did see the issue with one of the cabins that opens onto the dining area - a problem mentioned mentioned in another comment). For a couple who wanted to lie back and relax in the sun, reading and occassionally dangling a toe into the sea or the pool while sipping cocktails and taking advantage of the spa - it was perfect. We had a fantastic time. The spa services were great - a little more expensive than some others we tried in Thailand, but much more skilled. At the resteraunt we didn t try any of the Italian - though it looked good. the Thai menu had a fairly limited range, but was very good!Staff were helpful and friendly. When we needed medical help they sorted things out, got an English speaking docotor on the phone straight away and then helped us get to the right hospital and explained how things worked. Just what we needed at the time, and helped make what could have been a disaster for the vacation into a a small hiccup. The resort isn t ideal for those who want to be in the middle of the party scene, it s a good (but pleasent) walk into Chewang itself. Nor those who want lots of activities laid on. And the few kids we saw there seemed bored. If we go back again, we ll be going back here."
Joanna stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2004-12-19 and said, "Phenomenal atmosphere and service: smiles everywhere. Was very impressed when the manager personally came out to greet us upon check-in. The rooms are out of a fantasy story and the restaurant -- well, we made sure we came back for another meal upon returning to Koh Samui the second round. The Spa is the best one I have been to -- ever. Thanks for the wonderful memories!"
Elise stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2004-10-07 and said, "Very nice and modern hotel. Green is all around. Villa room is very confortable. Esp. love their infinity pool, and easy access to the beach. Food in their Italian restaurant is excellent! Although price is over than average, it still worth to stay!"
Laura stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2004-10-02 and said, "This is a beautiful, small resort. However, deluxe bungalow opened right into the dining area. We were very disappointed not to have privacy and quiet. Be sure if you want the deluxe bungalow you make sure it is not near the dining room. Also, this resort is at the far north end of the beach, meaning that the beach ends just past this resort. We thought that would not matter, but it did. Because the beach is so narrow here (maybe 10 feet wide) you can t really hang out on the beach. Also, it s not a good place to swim because the water is very shallow and it s a rocky area. There are chairs around the small pool, but that s not the same. We came to be on the beach. Every day we would walk about an hour to get to the part of the beach we liked, and finally moved down there after three days. We were much happier! If you anticipate staying inside a lot, these bungalows are beautiful, and breakfast was good."
Angela stayed at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort on 2004-09-29 and said, "This hotel is fabulous! It is located at the north end of Chaweng beach and is therefore very quiet, but is walking distance to the center of Chaweng. The rooms are incredible and very tastefully decorated. The grounds are lush gardens with lots of little streams and pools of Koi fish. The restaurant is gourmet with a variety of italian dishes but also Thai dishes. The prices are a bit expensive but the food is worth it. Finally, the service was impeccable. I highly recommend Baan Haad Ngam if you are looking for a 5 star, small boutique resort in a quiet part of Chaweng."
