Erin said, "Good place to stay, private bath. Beach wasn t very nice though, not good for swimming."
leveque said, "bungalow very basic and left unclean since the last guest.not on the beach but very close, 3 min walk.food at the restaurant very good and cheap.friendly staff."
Kate said, "Lovely staff, good accommodation, ok location. Definately a lot for your money."
Tatyana said, "Green Villa is really good. The superior bungalows are very nicely furnished and really comfortable. The territory is green and clean. We did not use the pool, but other people who seemed to like it. I saw the cheap bungalows but did not like them, they re rather wet and it s not difficult to find sth better for the same price, even with air conditioner, on Lamai or Chaweng (except there will be no pool). The staff and the owner are very friendly. The only thing I was dissapointed with was laundry, our things came back not actually clean (although my friend said this is common for the whole island :)) I d recommend this hotel for family leisure, it s very quiet and nice and is not far from the beach."
Annika said, "Its cheap, the owner is really nice, there is a pool. If you dont have high standards on the room (Notise: We lived in the SMALLEST bungalow) this is perfect. Its small, but there is a toilet and some kind of shower. i wouldnt return, but its a good price if you wanna live close to the beach."
frederic said, "I like the Green Villa a lot with friendly management and staff, nice garden area, good pool, reasonably priced fan bungalows, the only thing I was missing was wifi to connect my laptop. I will go there again, Frederic"
Oliver said, "a great place to be. very nice stuff and the bungalows are really OK for the price. great pool-area. the centre of lamai is only 5 minutes away. 7/11 only 1 minute by feet. we only had a fan-bungalow but we enjoyed our stay very much. would come to Green Villa again"
Ann said, "We had a pleasant stay at Green Villa which was a great deal at 300 B per night. The bungalow was basic, but clean, and the staff freindly. It was also very quiet--NO loud music keeping you awake till the wee hours! The little pool was also nice, especially for kids. The hotel is located just a 5 mimute walk away from a beautiful stretch of beach at the southern end of Lamai Beach. The more lively section of the beach area is just a 15-20 minute walk north. We would definitely stay there again because it was very inexpensive and we could book in advance over the internet."
Kasha said, "Green Villa was a wonderful bungalow to stay at, just far enough away from the cars to make it feel like you were in the middle of the woods, yet close enough to hear the ocean waves. Any trips that we needed to book were done for us at the front desk, although we discovered too late that renting a scooter (also from Green Villa) and exploring on our own was the cheapest option. The staff is friendly and the pool is open all night, which was a plus for us! Towels are included, but no blankets for the bed, only a giant bath towel. Bring your own toilet paper as you are given one roll, but we knew this coming into it so it wasn t an issue. Everyone is very friendly and they have good food and drinks right at the pool area. Internet is a stone s throw away. We would go back to Green Villa, but we don t require much, so if you are looking for fancy, this isn t the place for you!"
Xia said, "My Boyfriend and I a little bathroom. you get only a roll of Toilet tissue, nothing else in the room. The drinks from the bar is more expensive from stores outside. If you go out to the main road, which is approxi 1min walk, you can buy a bottle of water for 6B in 7-11. It s 10B in Green Villa. There is no activity going on in Green villa at night, I mean, no party or music or anything. Very quiet, only the owner and his two friends drinking and talking and watching French TV there during night. one night, there was someone talking outside our bungalow, we guessed they were looking for their bungalow but could t see the room number. Anyway, I wouldn t go back there if I go to Samui.Green Villa is not bad, but I believe there are better choices that i should try."
Shayne said, "I was not really comfy in the room there. It was small, holes in the doors and floors to allow mozzies in to bite you all night. The photos on the site do not really show how run down these bungalows are. Across the road you can get a really tidy room for 400Baht. Directly across the main road there is a restaurant with a sign for bungalows. Just go in and ask there and you will get a good room for the same price."
George said, "this is a bungalows style complex, with a nice garden and a pool in the middle, close to white sand beach (but not by the beach), located in a very quite road. The accommodation of the Fan bungalow is basic but cozy and comfortable!"
louise said, "We had one night at standard fan bungalow which was cheap but also very primitive. After that first night we moved to the superior bungalows. This was very nice. They clean every day and give you clean towels every day. There are only 14 bungalows, which makes it a nice quiet place to stay. The staff was friendly and kind."
Martin said, "We had a bungalow with aircon. very nice and quiet. Good food at the reastaurant, the manager was not so serviceminded, but still i strongly reccomend this hotel. Right now we are staying in Phi Phi Islands and to get same standard you will have to pay about 2200-2500 baht/night."
christine said, "Our stay at Green Villa was fantastic, the staff are VERY friendly and speak french too!(hello everybody over there!) The a.c(recommended) bungalow was perfect(clean sheets and towels every day)Good rates + including breakfast. Nice trees and flowers around the pool and bungalows. Internet access just across the small street. The beach is not to far using the same small street. The bonus too, was the great weather we had all week and so much stuff to do on the island! Rent a scooter and enjoy... We will return to G.V in Ko Samui for sure!"
farah said, "terrible, smelly smell comes from the toilet bowl of the chalet. the toilet door had to be closed everytime. nice and quiet place but with the mentioned problem it wont be nice anymore..."
Hussein said, "Basic but very comfortable. A very freindly and helpul staff. The staff react instantly to any issues that you might have and very flexible. The beach is just a few meters walk. There is a 7/11 store just a few meters away on the main road for your daily or urgent supplies. The pool is good relaxing area. The advantage is that there are not too many rooms for the space to get overcrowded. You feel like you are always sitting in your own space without much attention to others around. The Lamai Beach market is very close by as well. You could walk it up or rent a bike which the hotel will happily arrange for you. It was a beautiful expereince for me and I will surely come back here again. Thanks to Green Villa my first visit to Thailand and Koh Samui has been excellent."
Patricia said, "I booked a room for my daughter and myself in early October for December. We arrived late in the evening and we given a small, shoddy room, sharing one bed with no place to put our things. A family of chickens lived under our bungalow and woke us up very early. When we complained, excuses were made, but no attempt was made to refund our 4 day deposit. The fan bungalows are shoddy, buggy and not comfortable. Air circulated very poorly. I later fine. The pool was miniscule. The owner, while pleasant, got up late and his safe was only accessible when he woke up. No recommendation."
Kaj said, "Nice and calm resort in a good and quiet place near the beach. We ard bungalow the two weeks; very cheep, but quite OK. Cleaning every day. Not too near to the beach and city, nor too far from them. Via the beach about 10 minutes walk to the city (15 via the street). But only some minutes to the nearest shops and many places with good and cheep thai-food. Try even them used by local people, it´s worth. The cocks disturbed our sleeping a little early some mornings (4-5 am), but no problem, otherwise right quiet. The owner and his staff very friendly and hospitable. Thanks!"
Guido said, "There are Fan-Bungalows and bigger and better AC-Bungalows. We O.K.( regarding the price )They are cleaned every day.The Garden is nice and its 200 meters to the beach. But Attention ! They took away my brandnew torch from the room in he cleaning-time."
Renee said, "I thought this was ok, I think that you are paying for the pool. Although it was only 400THB, it is really basic, no flush loo. There were other resorts nearby charging 700THB for A/c rooms, the difference being no pool.I guess take your choice"
Karin said, "There are very simple and cheap bungalows on the left side, and completely new and luxuriously ones on the right side of the beautiful garden. We had the occasion to stay in both. The simple bungalows are very simple, as already written - especially the restroom. Contrary hereto are the new bungalows. They have all luxus than an European likes: very clean, a lot of place, wardrobe, chairs, TV, comfortable bed, bathroom (incl. bath, what s actually not needed due to high temperature), modern air-condition, freezer, outside shower, veranda...Bungalows (both types) were cleaned daily, towels changed daily also. The area is at about 150 meters from the beach, but it s an own garden with palms, flowers and a nice, clean swimming-pool. Food is very tasty and not expensive. Most Thanks to the exceptionally kindly holders. They arrange all necessary services (hires of car, moped, laundry, massage, taxi etc.) promptly and to good prices. You see: Green Villa is a perfect place to stay in Koh Samui! We enjoyed it very much. Thank you again."
Chiara said, "I slept in a fun bungalow, they are simple and essential, prices are cheap, the Managers and the staff are really nice and when I had a problem with my train ticket they helped me immediately.I always prefer to stay in hotel or bungalow belonging to Thai people I think It s more correct but I really enjoied my holiday in Green Villa"
Barry said, "Clean sheets, towells and pillowcases every day. Friendly and courteous staff. What more could you ask for?"
joseph said, "the villa was very nice extremley clean and very well run the management and staff are very friendly and helpful"
Bjorn said, "We had a wonderful stay at Green Villa! Staff & management was very friendly and helpful. The bungalow was clean and had everthing we needed, extra plus for the outdoor shower(there is one inside as well). Excellent thai-food in restaurant!"
Gunnar said, "Nice resort in a good and quiet place. Very friendly stuff also. The A/C bungalows are really nice with much more comfort than standard ones. 10 minutes walk to Lamai via the beach or 15 minutes via the ugly street. The beach itsself was a little disappointing to us, because of many stones in the water, much litter and it is more out of shells than fine sand."
Suzanne said, "Very nice small resort in the Lamai area of Koh Samui. Rooms were very clean and staff friendly. Reservation with Sawadee was very efficient."
Kerrie said, "Lovely place with great food and excellent service. Would reccomend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat."
Firdous said, "The place was clean and the owner and his staff we very hospitable. Unfortunately the shower was not so effective. A little expensive compared to other places of similar standard located at Chaweng Beach."
