Hilke stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-05-07 and said, "If you want some quiet and peaceful vacations in a resort with a tropical athmosphere, nice view and and great beach and are not looking for top service and first class hotel I would definitley recommend Coco Palm Resort. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow, spacious, clean, nice terasse. Lying in bed looking through palm trees at the sea or sitting on the terasse listening to the waves and trees - that was all we hoped for and got.Food ok and nice restaurants in walking distance. Helpful, friendly staff. We rented a motorbike and went to all other beaches. Maenam and Chawaeng beach seem to be the only ones which don t get rocky or muddy with low tide. For us, Chawaeng was far too crowded, wouldn t recommend Maenam to families with small kids though as water gets deep very sudden. All in all, we compared a lot and were always happy with our choice of Coco Palm Resort!"
Catherine stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-04-12 and said, "What a great place! We booked a zone A bungalow, which was great. Quiet location, great value for money providing you re not looking for a five star resort, wonderful fresh water pool, beach perfect for swimming, shops and restaurants within walking distance. We stayed for a week and loved it. Ok, so there are a lot of dogs around. So what? It s like that everywhere in thailand, and they are super friendly, so who cares? Some of the staff don t speak good english? Ok, but they go out of their way to try and work things out. Breakfast buffet is not varied? Go and have breakfast somewhere else. For us, coco palm was a perfect place to stay on samui, and we would recommend it thoroughly to our friends."
Stephan stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-04-11 and said, "The hotel was as expected from the internet pictures. We stayed in a family bungalow A. The room was big, nice and clean. The bathroom was really fresh, big with both shower and baht tub.Nice poolarea and garden. Friendly staff. We paid 2900 THB per night, breakfast not included (breakfast price 165 THB/pers). We thought it was a bit overpriced."
Liu stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-03-24 and said, "I would strongly recommend to saty at this resort when you would like to have vacation in Samui where it is not busy/crowded.It has nice beach view, swimming pool ,good breakfast and all staffs are friendly. There are many dogs around but they all are friendly and cute if you like dogs. Please remember to bring all you need such as soap, shampoo etc. for bath/shower as they do not offer you good quality/enough in the room.Definitely, I will come back again for my family annual vacation."
steven stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-03-23 and said, "great, good accomodation, great location next to hi speed ferry to koh toa. bar shuts at 10. a bit dissappointing. would recommend"
Greiderer stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-03-16 and said, "We (two adults and two children) spent four nights in Coco Palm Samui Resort. The bungalow was comfortable and clean. The terrain of the resort looks like a bontanical garden and the children enjoyed the pool. Besides the beach is kind and next to the resort, there is a nice bar to spend the evening with Reggae-Music."
Schueder stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-03-15 and said, "Good bungalow. Quiet. Nice beach. Good to rest, but not much else to do within walking distance."
Nicole stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-03-12 and said, "Wir waren acht Tage im Coco Palm Samui Resort und waren im groĂYen und ganzen recht zufrieden.
Simon stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-03-12 and said, "Nice resort with good facilties. Restaurant and pool by the beach front and the food and drink is very good and reasonable. The onwer is very helpful and speaks good english. The beach itself is very good and for a relaxing place to stay in that area it is ideal. The ferry crossing to Ko Pha Ngan is about 100 yards away too which is a bonus if you re going that way !!"
Simon stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-03-09 and said, "Very friendly and always helpful staff. I very much enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone after a quiet resort with easy access to chaweng."
Britta stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-03-09 and said, "Waren für 4 Tage im Coco Palm am Menam Beach.
V. stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-03-08 and said, "We enjoyed the Coco Palm Resort. We had reserved a beach bungalow, but, as it was still occupied, we were upgraded for the same price to a much more luxurious room with its own pool/spa! This was very generous as it cost twice as much, but we didn t have to pay any more. The staff was very helpful and friendly But we thought the restaurant food was a bit expensive and only okay, not really great. The location is pretty quiet with just enough different restaurants and minimarts to give a choice for eating out or buying snacks. The beach is nice, the water calm. The hotel is right next to the Lompraya speed boat pier, but that is small and hardly noticeable as to noise or crowds. It s also convenient if you d like to travel to Koh Phangnan or Koh Tao. Overall, we had a lovely time there and we d recommend the hotel to anyone."
Dr. stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-03-05 and said, "Nice bungalow hotel. Bungalows clean, service good, beach very good. Not enough shadow at the beach because of unsufficient number of sun shades. Bad habit of tourists to put towels on the beach chairs at seven in the morning or even earlier in order to reserve the chair. Good restaurant and very friendly owner."
johan stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-02-29 and said, "We stayed in a family bungalow (2 adults and 2 children 7 and 10 years)It was spacius and clean. Staff was very friendly. poolarea clean, beach ok, surrounding a bit off but ok.We liked Coco Palm we recomend it."
Klas stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-02-28 and said, "A very nice and quite hotel situated on a nice beach for away from Lamai and Chaweng. The people who run the place are very friendly. We stayed in a beach front bungalow with two separate bedrooms and a private pool. The pool was maybe not quite necessary but a nice extra.I think this hotel is very well worth the money."
Erik stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-02-22 and said, "Coco Palm is a gem. We were also here 5 years ago and were now happy to find that not so much has changed in the area since then. What is new are the family and pool bungalows. We stayed in a family bungalow and it was excellent. Large, pleasantly styled, nice wooden floor, a large bathroom with a bath tub. The aircon was very modern, efficient and really silent. A good thing is also that the fridge is empty so you can fill it with the things you like yourself. If you have kids, the family bungalow is an excellent choice, especially since they and the pool villas are more modern than the other types. The restaurant is also good with reasonable prices and nice and friendly staff. It is in the style of old Samui with braided wooden ceiling. But there are also a lot of good restaurants nearby. Our favourite was the small My place , which served the best cooked fresh fish we had in the whole of Samui, very friendly staff which took care of our baby while we were eating. John s Garden is also very good in a very beautiful garden. La luna a little further away close to a pond, is also worth checking out. All in all we got much better food at Maenam than at Bophut beach, and the prices were consistently lower than Bophut as well. The pool is square shaped and not very large, but quite OK. The beach is nice, and at the western end there are corals close to the beach, which means easy snorkelling for kids. Luckily this part of Maenam beach is not yet very exploited, which means the neighbourhood is quiet and the beaches are not as crowded as they are elsewhere on the island. The main road is a couple of hundred meters away, so no road noise either. This is surely a place we will gladly return to."
Kristina stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-02-16 and said, "good hotel, good pool, expensive food (breakfast 330 B which is not included into the room rate), territory is very green, not many shops around and you need to walk a long way to the road to get to other places if you don t have a motocycle.rooms are ok, but not enough light."
I stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-02-12 and said, "Our stay here was excellent. We attended a Wedding that the Resort organised and this too was great. Staff friendly, helpful and the food was great as well. The Bungalow we had was close to the pool and the restaurant. We will go back and stay longer next time."
Yvonne stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-01-18 and said, "It was a very pleasant stay in Coco Palm, nice bungalow, quiet place, beautiful clean beach. The swimmingpool was good en clean, the restaurant was satisfactory. I would like to give it an 8"
sarah stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-01-06 and said, "This place was horrible. We had a basic bungalow, right at the back of the resort. At night it was a long dark walk back through the bungalows to ours and it did not feel safe. The bungalow didn t feel particularly secure either. As a woman travelling alone with a small child I did not feel at all safe here and barely slept. When I had made our booking the photo of the room showed a fridge and a mosquito net, and the website stated that there was a safety deposit box. Our room had none of these. When pushed the staff brought us a safety box which they placed in our wardrobe - it was completely unsecured so anyone could have just picked it up and walked out with it! They also brought us a fridge - however when we left the room and took they key out with us the electric supply to the fridge cut out, so the majority of the time the fridge was not on! The bungalow itself was damp, smelled bad, and shabby. The beach at this place is not soft sand and shelves very steeply - the sea gets very deep quickly. For this reason I would not recommend this resort for people with small children and am surprised that other people have. The restaurant here is very expensive, and in addition to this they also add tax onto the listed menu prices - I did not go anywhere else in thailand that does this. The breakfast is not good. It s a long walk to a supermarket or independant restaurant. We booked 8 nights at this place and only stayed one. Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful - we were very glad to leave, even if we were completely over-charged for the cab we had to book through reception! This might be an ok place if you can afford to stay in one of the most expensive bungalows - but for your money I m sure you can find a much nicer, friendlier place close by."
Andrew stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2008-01-02 and said, "The Deluxe Zone B Bungalows at Coco Palm Samui Resort were wonderful. The rooms were serviced and cleaned daily and actually look like the photos on the website. The pool is fantastic and is right on the beach. Only thing to watch out for is, if you are charging food and drinks to your room (in the restaurant), beware that the prices attract a 10% service charge. We weren t aware of this and had to pay an additional 10% on these items. Otherwise it was a great resort."
J.Neumann stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2007-12-28 and said, "We found Coco Palms exactly as it was on the Sawadee Website. (Perhaps even better). We only book through Sawadee and have never been disappointed. Coco Palm Beach is beautifull with lots of Coco Palms. The Staff is wonderful und friendly, especially the Manager Mr. Chart Chai. We can not thank him enough for his hospitality and helpfulness. Having been to Koh Samui before (also with Sawadee) we can only recommend Coco Palms Resort in Maenam/Samui which is in quite area off the Main Road.Beautiful Garden, lots of Palms, super Swimmingpool. Thanks Coco-Palms, Mr. Chart Chai and your Staff.Pity that Samui gets a bit over-built spoiling what it once used to be."
Gaffet stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2007-12-22 and said, "Very very very nice place. Service is really good. Personal is polit and smily. Well located to sightseeing. Very quiet place. Food is very good and the every night BBQ (meat and seafood) is famous. To recommend to families."
Christopher stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2007-09-24 and said, "Had no trouble checking in. They had our reservation on file. The Pool Villa was wonderful only wished we had more than one night to stay. Staff was helpful and the hotel is right next door to the high speed catamaran so it made getting to Tao the next day really easy."
Renate stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2007-08-31 and said, "The resort is situated directly on the beach, far away from the street so that it is very calm and relaxing there. The bungalows are very spacious and clean (big bedroom, well appointed bathroom, nice terrace). The restaurant offers food in a nice atmosphere. Especially for families this is really an advisable resort. We felt very welcome and comfortable there."
Chantelle stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2007-07-31 and said, "The resort is small and run by Thai family. Bewautiful beach location, clean and spacious bungalows and great food. Breakfast selection was very poor and the resort is some distance for shopping and nightlife. The pool is nice, but overall i would not recommend as a resort for young people wanting to be close to entertainment. I ended up leaving 2 days earlier to move somewhere closer to town. There were also many dogs that roamed the resort (even inside the restaurant), which was a turn off. Overall though ok value for money but not ideal location and very restricted with things to do (no beach activities etc)."
Gino stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2007-03-12 and said, "Beachfront Bungalow very nice - Mae Nam Beach very quiet. But only 2 restaurants next to the resort, so we take a 2 km walk every evening to go to dinner in the heart of Mae Nam - because Restaurant in the hotel, was 50% more expansive."
Morgan stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2007-02-28 and said, "The best resort nice bungalows lived in a family bungalow, have some friends how lived in a privat bungalow whit pool...niceRestaurang expensive but there is some good restaurangs down the road. Take a walk and see a small restaurang next to a German bakery and tattoshop.Just by the beach and neighbour to Speedboat to Koh panga & Koh tao. Nice staff The owner is an old lady nearly 90 years old. we stayed there 11 days."
Rene stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2007-02-21 and said, "We first stayed in room 101, it s a bungalow right on the beach but close to the pool, so there was some noice from this. Later we moved to one of the new pool villaes, and they are outstanding, extremly nice and very private, you have your own little private pool, and the rooms are just perfect. The hotel is highly recomended by me and my family, we have stayed there true the last 7 years."
Rene stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2007-02-16 and said, "Everything OK; booked a beachfront bungalow without breakfast. There are enough restaurants in the area for having breakfast. 2nd row bungalows are as good and offer more privacy!"
Aleksey stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2007-02-13 and said, "Very nice place, can recommend it."
Katrin stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2007-01-30 and said, "We spent wonderful 10 days in Coco Palm and will go back there again. The staff was friendly, kind, the food was great and this hotel has the nicest beach on the island. Great choise for travellers with children."
Helene stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2007-01-06 and said, "We had a wonderful time at Coco Palm. The staff was very kind and helpful. The bungalows were nice and had enough space for 2 adults and 2 children. We really enjoyed staying there!"
Mattias stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2006-12-21 and said, "Fantastic hotell with good location and friendly staff. The only thing we missed was a refrigarater in the room."
Holger stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2006-11-03 and said, "Nice placed in palm garden, 30-200m from the sea, good breakfast, good service for all your belongings, very good place to relax ! Nice price"
Hawkins stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2006-09-20 and said, "Great hotel, friendly staff. Very nice, big and new rooms. Good restaurant. All in all, we can only recommend it!"
Daniel stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2006-09-11 and said, "Das Hotel war wunderbar!
Vera stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2006-08-22 and said, "This was our second stay at Coco Palm. It s a nice place for families to stay, casual, great beach, well-kept in general, though a bit worn in spots. Our room (deluxe zone B) was spacious and sufficient for the four of us. Only the bathroom could use a sprucing up. The garden and the pool are very nice ( pool is a bit warm). In general Coco Palm is a good value, and there are some brand-new bungalows at the back of the property. Don t miss going to the nearby Sunshine Gourmet Restaurant for some great food."
Gourdet stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2006-08-21 and said, "très bon rapport qualité/prix (bungalow standar zone B), bon petit déj,belle plage, calme, proche d un petit village sympa ( bo phut)..."
Janine stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2006-07-29 and said, "I had been to Coco Palm before when much younger and really loved it. This time however, I noticed a few things that werent up to scratch. There were many stray dogs around all the time - they were dirty and bought flies to the eating area, woke us during the nights fighting, kept getting into the rubbish so left garbage strewn everywhere. Also, the Resort advertises Crystal Clear sea - even at two foot deep I could not see my feet. When sitting along the wall/fence in the resturant if one looked down onto the other side there was filthy litter - not great to look at while eating! The resort is good value for money but somewhat unhygenic in my opinion."
Maik stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2006-05-28 and said, "Wir waren eine Woche in dem Resort.
dennis stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2006-04-15 and said, "The staff are very helpfull and friendly, the bungalows are large clean with nice and big beds. the pool are a little to small. Good value."
Bernt stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2006-02-22 and said, "Beach bungalows are very nice! High standard, large, comfortable.Pool is nice also. Returant is OK but not more, very slow service. Location on the beach is excellent, but it is far away from other resturants and shopping, even supermarkets. Expect a lot of taxi rides or stay put. Very high value for the money, but consicer somthing closer to other facilities. The beach is beatiful but not very clean, and the water is often dizzy due to winds and currents. The speed ferry for Ko Thao and more is very close, 100 meters, comfortable but makes somes moice and smell diesel! We really enjoyed the beach bungalow. Sitting 10 meters from the pool and 20 metes from the ocean! Some friendly staff but also some less nice.Nice massage facility on the beach. Very relaxing for a few days, but after that maybe something closer to services."
shelley stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2006-01-30 and said, "My husband and I had a lovely 11 nights at the coco palm. It is a very quiet place in a very quiet area. Our bungalow was basic but it was clean. The staff were brilliant, very friendly. Restaurant was ok but there are other places to eat outside the resort. Tailor fantastic, his assistant Mario is a lovely young lad!Beach ok not the cleanest we have ever been on but quiet and relaxing. There are dogs around the resort, but they looked fed and healthy and they weren t pests. Infact we found them quite entertaining as they played together and lay under sunbeds to keep cool. (no reason not to visit at all).Overall had a great time, would visit again if we went back to ko samui."
A stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2005-12-29 and said, "We stayed for 2 nights at Coco Palms. We were very happy with the place. The only real problem we had, was that when we arrived our room had no water. This was quickly fixed. The room was a standard bungalow. It was one of the furthest from the beach. In saying that, we were actually still quite close to the beach, and we were suprised by this. Our room was advertised as having a TV - and it didn t. This didnt really bother us too much - but if your after a TV DOUBLE CHECK with the manager when making the booking. The beach was deep, and usually quite clean. It is a family resort, and as a consequence there are a lot of noisy kids running around. The beach only has 2 or 3 resorts on it, and most of the people on the beach came from Coco Palms. I would stay there again.Oh - our return to the airpot (that we booked through here Sawadee.com and later reconfirmed with the driver) never showed up....we had to call them to come and pick us up."
ZHOU stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2005-12-26 and said, "Room and facility are Ok. Swimming pool is nice. There s no many restarants/shops around. Suitable for family who doesn t want to go around so much"
Sebastian stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2005-12-22 and said, "Always enjoy staying at Coco Palm as it s quite mellow even when it s full. Nice pool, and while the food is genreally good, breakfasts are best to be had somewhere else. The management have gotten a bit ornery over the years, the bungalows could use a touch up and the cockroaches are unreal. If I go to Maenam again, will be consider other options."
Caroline stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2005-08-20 and said, "Coco Palm resort is lovely for those who want to experience Koh Samui in a quiet relaxing place. The bungalows were well equiped and very clean."
Alliod stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2005-07-31 and said, "We stayed for 2 weeks at cocopalm and had a great time! The staff in the restaurant could have been a bit more smiling/pleasant. We certainly plan to go back. Excellent place to stay with children."
Frank stayed at Coco Palm Samui Resort on 2005-07-02 and said, "Saubere Anlage der Mittelklasse mit Schneider, Spa, anständigen Restaurant, schönem Garten. Sehr ruhig und ab vom Schuss. Täglicher Zimmerservice. Erholung pur. Traumhaftes Panorama vor allen Dingen aus den Front-Beach-Bungalows."
