Cecilia stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2008-06-21 and said, "Very nice lowbudget bungalows. Old standard but ok for that price. The location is great and the garden was very nice. The tide water was very low i June on the north end of Chaweng but it was not far to walk to the south end. The sand is white and the water i crystalclear, very good beach! The pool is very small, only room for a few people at the time, swimming is not possible."
Pitt stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2008-03-19 and said, "I think the hotel service is good but the accommadation didn t look good as I d seen from the internet ...I suggest that they should renovate hotel s rooms real soon"
Oivind stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2008-02-14 and said, "Great place and nice people. Great location close to chaweng beach. Good choice for the average traveller."
AMBER(XIAWEI) stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2008-02-09 and said, "Great ppl indeed! If you are nice to them, they will try their best to help you out. Wooden level was a bit too old and little for us, so we changed to garden view delux, it was bit old, but clean and plesent stay. Swiming pool was a bit small, bt hey wat a view!!! locaation was great. breaki was good. tours are AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEE!!! love those delightful guides. special thanks to tour organiser Mr. Ting,He is a good man and always helpful thought our entire stay!!! Definitly go back again."
ibrahim stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2008-02-01 and said, "geneal condition of the place was fairrooms were a bit oldbathroom was dirty and water tend to get clogged after bathinghad a bad experience with rums,i generally dont like ground floor rums and i was given one when i specificaaly asked for a rum on t5he 2nd floor with a balcony.....food at seaside cafe was superb wil not stay here again in future until they renovate the propertyhad to pay extra 300 baht for late check out, whereas in big hotels around the world they are obliging to extend check out up to 3 o clockbesides that, the staff also were not too friendly....."
chengyuan stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2008-01-28 and said, "It s a terrible holiday. When we reached this hotel, because of a little thing, the taxi driver hit my boyfriend!!!It s so horrible, the hotel stuff didn t do anything and rejected to call police, although we were injuried .We spent 3 days in the hotel,my mother lost 3 pic Chanel mask!!When we come back in the second evening, our room s window has been open!!But we lock it before we go outside. So terrible,if you want to loss your things,if you want to feel angry,if when you need help,no one do only laugh at you and concern about their local villian,if you want to feel these, please live in this hotel.Or ,please ,please change anothe hotel .I feel it is a hotel which full with thief and villian, they don t know what is service, they only concern about money.By the way, when we left this hotel,a man suddenly go outside from their frontdesk ,he wantted us to use his car to go to our destination with a very expensive price, when we rejected him,he said two words :get out !!It s amust be the worst hotel in Samui ."
Klemm stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2008-01-09 and said, "Directly at the beach and central to the nightlife.Quite in the night.Wonderful garden. For the price is that O.K.,the wooden level are to small."
Glenn stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2007-12-30 and said, "Resort was fine. Good value for money/middle of the road resort. Rooms spacious enough. Resort very central. Only areas that needs some attention are 1. bathrooms needs a facelift (was not very clean). 2. Was very dissappointed in the new years eve party. 3. Breakfast not great. Will definitely go back and stay at this resort, if above 3 points can be looked into."
James stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2007-12-30 and said, "The hotel was in a great location on the beach, the room was basic but good, cleaned all the time to a very good standard, the free breakfast was basic at times, cold when should be hot is the only problem i had. Most of the guests seem to be german, this posed a problem when wanting to sit by the pool as most of the chairs were taken in advance.... very frustrating when you are unaware of this cultural trait...however is an ulright hotel for the price, their are nicer places further along if you would like to pay a little more."
Rosanne stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2007-12-26 and said, "stayed in the two bed bungalow; comfortable room; loved the porch. water preasure a little low but survived that. perfect location with great beach; massages good; great food in front and back restaurants, breakfast outstanding. very good price. Staff very eager to make all comfortable particularly the beach restaurant and bar guys who doubled as beach chair locators and umbrella placers.grounds and beach clean, cleaner than many nearby places."
Manjit stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2007-10-03 and said, "The rooms were nice and our check in was warm and we felt very welcome. The room shower was the best part. The breakfast was not up to expectations as there was very little choice. On checking out we had a bad experience as we inquired to extand our stay and ask what were the rates. To our suprise the rates were increased. Even when the manager come in and said he hgives us a special discount the rates were higher than our first nite. you can guess, we left."
Dita stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2007-04-08 and said, "Very old, smelly and overpriced!Booked the double, wooden level. Will not recommend, you can get twice as good rooms at lower price just next door."
William stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2006-06-20 and said, "On arriving we were stunned at how awful the split-level bungalow looked. It looked like a garden shed with an upstairs added. The final straw was when I noticed that I could see daylight through the walls, there were holes in the thin wooden panelling. This and the fact that the windows didn’t close properly probably accounted for the room being full of mosquitoes. We went to reception and asked if there was any better accommodation available, fortunately we got a pleasant deluxe room at an extra 500 bht per night. However this room was far from perfect as the bathroom ceiling was all black mould and had a couple of holes which constantly dripped water. We ate once at the Sea side restaurant, which was the worst meal of our 3 week trip and one of the most expensive. I also overheard other people complaining about the food. Do not eat here, as it is terrible food. Breakfast was OK. The location was very central for the nightlife. The beach area was not good, as it is behind a breakwater where the water becomes very dirty with debris. The beach south of here is much better.Overall not recommended, we stayed in much better accommodation in other places on Samui at lower prices."
Aiden stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2006-05-22 and said, "resort has a great location, next to a good beach, close to the centre of chaweng, but still quiet enough, rooms are fine, but do need updating we think, staff were helpfull, good pool which overlooks the sea,no problems with the breakfast."
Michel stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2006-04-08 and said, "Resort is ok, even if the rooms are not as shown on pictures (choice of colors inside very unhappy) and the terasse could have been cleaner. Slightly nicer is the Island and spa resort (also available on Sawadee.com), but they have no pool. This seafront bungalows were very clean, nice decorated and the bathroom was superbe for usual Thai standards."
Christine stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2006-02-21 and said, "A good resort situated directly on the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable overlooking the garden. Everything worked well. The room and the facilities were a little worn."
Heather stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2006-01-04 and said, "The room itself was clean and decent, but for the room rate - almost $50USD I think we were a bit short changed. The room was quite small and had very little natural light. Also, our shower was difficult to use. Aside from the room the property was very nice. Pretty garden and helpful staff. The breakfasts were very good and the facility offered the BEST beachside massages we found anywhere along Chaweng beach."
David stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2006-01-02 and said, "The first rooms offered were no more than accomodation fit for farm animals. The shower romm/bath room had mould growing on the walls. The bed was a mattress on the floor. The wardrobe stank. I cannot adequetly describe how bad the romm was. After complaining another room was found in a more modern part of the resort but was only available for an additional 500 baht per night of course. Crap!"
Mr. stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-12-14 and said, "It was one of our most horrible stay in a hotel!!! We booked one of the wooden bungalows. On the pictures of the hotel s web site you couldn t see that there are no beds. Just some mattresses on the floor. But this was not the worst of all. The worsest thing was that there was the whole wall full with mould fungus and the smell of this!!!Our receptionist was a very big cockroach saying hello...O.K., after first shock we made immediately an upgrade to a better room. But it was not really better because of the noises at night time. The bungalows are double so that you can hear your neighbour s breath....We had some really nice neighbours coming home at night yelling and stamping through the room like an elefant. Then switching on TV with loudness like in a disco. Very nice!!!Two times a week in the early morning refuse collection came and made a lot of very loud noises in front of our room. It was really not the best place we stayed in the last 10 years!!!!Stuff was very nice and helpfull. One night on the street in front of the hotel some taxi-drivers made a competition who has the most powerful loudspeaker in his car? . So we called the receptionist to stop this. And he stopped it - for that night.....We not recommend to take the wooden bungalows and also not the bungalow opposite to the reception desk. The kitchen is next to this rooms so you have also the noises coming out there!!!!The rest of the resort needs a renovation at all!!We would not go back there!!!!"
Penelope stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-12-11 and said, "HAD A VERY PLEASANT STAY AT CHAWENG VILLA.THE BUNGALOW ,WITH A LOVELY GARDEN VIEW, WAS GETTING A LITTLE OLD BUT WAS CLEAN AND I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN.BREAKFAST WAS GOOD AND IT WAS NICE HAVING THE POOL AND RESTAURANT NEXT TO THE SEA. STAFF WERE ALL VERY NICE."
Cath stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-11-02 and said, "Very nice, comfortable and clean bungalow. Small but clean pool & surrounding area. Great location for beach and Chaweng shops & restaurants."
Mike stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-10-07 and said, "We would highly recommend the hotel to anyone who wanted to have a peaceful relaxing holiday, but be central enough so that all amenities are within a couple of minutes walk. Hotel was basic, but clean and could not fault it at all and would defnitely go back."
Paul stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-09-16 and said, "3 times now out of the 5 in Samui Iv stayed at Chaweng Villas.Very pleasant, polite & helpful staff from rececption to the wonderful hard working maids who clean up our mess every day.Can book any tour and rent a small jeep for the same rates as elsewhere in Chaweng.Beautifully kept gardens, breakfast fine, only one personnal comment Id like to make at presant the pool/sunbathing area is just about adequate being on the small size but as Samui is growing popular/commercial even(its unstopable Im afraid)this may need to be addressed.Busiest September Iv seen it with mor couples, groups of western girls and mature clientele (not just a place for the under 30 s now). With mor & mor upper range resorts constantly being built in & around Chaweng the standard, quality & location you recieve from this mid to low price range resort is unbeatable.Recommend Delux Room, Building, theres only 8 & they go fast.Thankyou to ALL at Chaweng Villas for my most enjoyable Samui holiday yet, Paul & Janine Craig."
Mrs stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-08-06 and said, "I was very pleased with the basic accommodation which met all my requirements and was cleaned on a daily basis. Breakfast was a buffet style with no restrictions as to how much you wanted to eat. All the staff were very helpful and I would love to visit again in the future. Only complaint was price of taxi advertised at 160B but charging 300B which I think could have been much cheaper - hotel is very near airport."
Eija stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-07-31 and said, "The hotel was excellent location near the beach and the main street of Chaweng. Beautiful garden and very friendly and helpful personnel. The buffet breakfast was super with so many choices. The bunglow was also well cleaned every day. The only negative thing which did not meet our expectation was the Deluxe Bungalow. It was really worn-out and shabby inside.( The pictures on the website really give another kind of impression.) We expected more with 2300 baht per night. The wall paper was worn out and also the shower room wall and floor plates where cracking. After returning back to our home country, the smell of mould was stuck to all our clothes and stuff. Also the pool looked shabby and dirty (borders in mould).I consider also 400 Baht taxi service from the airport quite high as the trip was not long. Our holiday was however great. Samui is a beautiful island, but much more expensive than many other tourist areas in Thailand. We are frequent Thailand travellers, so we are not surprised of little things."
Byron stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-07-28 and said, "Nice, quiet property that was a good value. The staff is friendly and the maid service was excellent. After we spent the afternoon on the beach, we returned to our room and left our hotel beach towels on the bench outside our room. Within 10 minutes, the staff provided us with fresh towels! The only drawback to the property: At night, the hotel bar at the beach played techno (with the same beat for 3 hours) until midnight. We could feel the low level vibrations in our room. Other than that annoyance a great place to stay."
Daryl, stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-07-22 and said, "This was our second visit to Chaweng Villa. We were in the wooden level double for 3 people, which would probably be somewhere in the 2-3 star range. Many new places have opened in the past couple of years that are undoubtedly more luxurious, but we keep coming back here because we find Chaweng Villa comfortable and good value: friendly staff, clean, comfortable beds, included buffet breakfast (lots of choice), close to the main road (shopping and lots of restaurants). Although this is not the best part of the beach (located behind a reef - shallow water and somewhat silty bottom) a short walk down the beach provides a firm bottom and some wave action - and a lot more people! We never had a problem finding loungers either on the beach or around the pool, and the bar service in both locations was very good. Try the Thai massage (250 Baht for a hour-long massage) if you stay here. It feels great. We d definitely stay here again - very good value for the money spent!"
Stefan stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-07-06 and said, "We spent four days at the Villa Beach Resort and I can recommend it to anyone! Friendly personnel, good location and a superb breakfast buffet.Mosquitoes were a problem, use protection. At low tide a short walk south to get outside the reef is rekommended."
Rob stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-06-25 and said, "Accommodation very acceptable for price, service Ok ."
Mr stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-06-16 and said, "Very good hotel although the bungalows were a little dark inside and required curtains to be drawn for privacy . The bathrooms were also a little small . The staff were great however , the breakfasts were fine and the location good The sea outside the hotel was no good for swimming .We moved on to the Beachcomber after four days where the beach and sea was great ."
Kare stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-06-11 and said, "My biggest dissapoinment so far in Thailand. I was supposed to stay here for two nights, but my wife and I did not want to stay even one. The room was very worn down, the bedsheets looked dirty (might have been just old and discolored) When we tried to change to another room there was no will to cooperate at all, so we just left the hotel."
Neysa stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-05-19 and said, "Nice place right in the heart of Chaweng, but quiet enough that you you can get some sleep! Rooms were very nice but pool was a bit small and grubby. Would probably stay there again."
Barry stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-05-02 and said, "fantastic service rooms were great and the rooms were clean tidy every day the staff were always happy with a big smile. will go back and stay there again had no problems at all."
Zoe stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-04-20 and said, "We stayed for an additional 13 nights & we had a garden bungalow, which was nice. The bathroom needed to be decorated but apart from that everything was ok. Our room was cleaned everyday, we had clean sheets, towels and beach towels everyday. The hotel & bar staff were very friendly & nothing was a problem. The first week we spent on the beach however we got fed up with people selling things all day long & the beach was not as clean as I thought it would be. We spent the 2nd weeks by the pool which was lovely. We spent most of our evenings in the bar & restauarants on the beach as we thought the main road with all the shops, restaurants & bars was too noisy, dirty & a bit seedy which I didn t expect to see in koh samui. We found a lovely restaurtant called Pregos which was expensive but the food was fantastic & so was the service. I would visit Thailand again as the thai people were very friendly but I would probably go to a quiter part."
Camilla stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-04-18 and said, "The staff were very hospitable and made it very easy and comfortable to be a guest at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort. The room (de luxe) was very comfortable, functional and clean allthough we stayed for 6 nights and did not get clean sheets. On our journey back home we past Koh Samoui again at had a stop for 10 h, so we went back to Chaweng Villa Beach Resort to ask if we could store our luggage and take a shower. It was no problem at all and we didn t even get charged - that is how nice they are! We can only recommend this place :o)"
Jason stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-03-31 and said, "Very good service and cost effective for a beach-front location. Nightly seafood BBQ on the beach is great and much cheaper than the Amari next door."
Anna stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-03-21 and said, "The hotel was as central to where the action is as you can get and yet quiet and tranquil. We stayed in the split-level bungalows (the cheapest) and this was great value for money. Clean, comfortable, large, plenty of storage space and even an extra sink! The staff were lovely, warm, friendly and helpful. The stretch of beach in front of it was the best on Chaweng Beach. Lovely gardens and small but beautifully positioned infinity swimming pool. We would both definitely go back and probably will! Can t wait."
Jolene stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-03-04 and said, "fabulous! we had a bungalow. the room is spacious and the location is superb! it is right at the centre of everywhere, yet more quiet than the neighbour resorts. wonderful service from the staff."
Othmar stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-02-12 and said, "We have been in this resort now the second time, but this year was very disappointed. Staff and Manager were not very helpful as we want to change our bungalow after 4 days of comlain because of drunken neighbours making noise every night until 05:00 a.m. and we were ready for sleep earlier. Other offering bungalow was directly behind house laundry and service station and was start working and making noise from about 05:00 a.m. We have to stay more than 3 weeks in this resort, because it was prepaid, but it was sure the last time in Chaweng Villa Resort!"
Gill stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-02-06 and said, "We found the Chaweng Villa Beach Resort a really nice friendly place to stay. We had a garden room which was always made clean and tidy for us, had 3/4 size twin beds, fridge, tv, phone, a/c and balcony. The room was very comfortable and pleasantly situated between a busy high street and the beach. We also saw the luxury double rooms and we felt a little jealous. If you are to stay here for a while, the extra on the luxury room may well be money well spent. We were not disturbed at all by noise from the road or by other guests. Trips were available from the reception desk and the staff were always happy to help and ready with a smile! There was plenty of places to eat and drink from within the hotel, a very nice fresh fish restaurant at the front and a handy beach bar at the back. The swimming pool looked very inviting but we swam in the sea, it was only 10 yards further away! In all, I would stay here again. There is a lot to choose from in Chaweng, and I feel that we chose quite well!"
Pim stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-02-06 and said, "Simple but nice resort well located at the Chaweng beach. Staff is friendly. Good value for money. Close to airport, shops and restaurants."
David stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2005-01-20 and said, "We stayed twice in the hotel during our visit in Thailand. The first time we had a regular garden view room and was not exactely what we expected. The second time we booked their best room for just 400 Bats more and it was great. The staff was very friendly and try to help. The breakfast simple, but good and the people of the dinning room very friendly in particular the cook who prepares the eggs in the morning. The location is great. By the way, as travel agents, we highly recommend to use the services of the agency located in the hotel. Mr. Krip Sup Arsa is an excellent man, always ready to help. We found out that his prices were good in relation to other places and was not necesary to look around for better price and service. We booked a number of services and were very satisfied"
Jo stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2004-11-29 and said, "A very nice resort with a smiling staff always pleased to assist on any matter. We truly enjoyed every minute of it. Excellent and inexpensive Thai massage available right off the beach - highly recommendable! The restaurant on the premises (Baan Thai) serves very tasty Thai food at moderate prices. The only negative issue worth mentioning is the techno music that was put on every afternoon at 4 pm from the beach bar. This was our first vacation in Thailand and I must admit we placed our booking with Chaweng Villa after having read the numerous positive reviews on this web site. And they were right - this is extremely good value for money! We will have no doubt whatsoever to stay at Chaweng Villa during our next trip to Koh Samui, - hopefully very soon!"
Manuel stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2004-11-29 and said, "We had a good stay. Our tranfer to resort was there and on time. Accomodation satisfactory could do with a touch up which may have been in progress in some of the other rooms. Right on the beach, excellent restaurant and in the middle of Chaweng are the positives. Negatives are small pool area and small beach frontage meaning you have to get there early for a sun chair. We ended up finding better accomodation at the same price but no breakfast a little further out. It depends what your are after, but all in all a very comfortable stay."
Jonathan stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2004-11-24 and said, "Hotel is lovely and staff are very helpful indeed."
Sinead stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2004-11-18 and said, "The hotel was clean, in an excellent location & i wld have no hesitation recommending it to anyone. The staff were so friendly & efficient. The food in the beach restaurant was excellent & the setting perfect. I hope to get back soon."
BLANCHIN stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2004-11-07 and said, "JE NE PEUX QUE ME FELICITER DAVOIR CHOISI CHAWENG VILLA BEACH RESORT . LE PERSONNEL ETAIT GENTIL, SERVIABLE et DISPONIBLE. L ACCUEIL, LE PERSONNEL AFFECTE AU MENAGE , TOUS ONT ETE AIMABLES AVEC NOUS.JE RECOMMANDE CET HOTEL BIEN SITUE A DEUX PAS DE LA PLAGE ET DES COMMERCES TOUT EN ETANT DANS UN ENDROIT D UNE VERDURE REMARQUABLE ET TRES CALME . MERCI POUR CES VACANCES FORMIDABLES."
Angela stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2004-10-31 and said, "We are middle aged travellers with much hotel experience of all standards in many countries.Transport waiting despite a delayed flight was easy and comfortable.Reception handled our check in quickly and efficently. Our bungalow was spotlessly clean, large and very comfortable, the A/C perfect after a minor hiccup.Heaps of storage for clothes and cases.TV had great reception with channels in Thai, French, English and German. No nightime street or beach noise penetrated our bungalow. The linen was fresh daily but some old and in need of replacing.Bathroom was compact and spotless with a great shower, good pressure.Breakfast included in the price of high standard buffet style with a chef to cook the eggs any way you please.Pool small but right next to the ocean which is wonderful to swim in.Lounges on the beach provided and also beach towels which are a bit small but ok.Massage ladies very reasonable price people using were more than happy.I chose not to have a massage but I had the best mancure I ever had. The restaurant on the street front is of very high standard fish fresh and beautifully cooked, perfect. The beach restaurant is also very good but the service we found not as good.I think probably because a huge storm was brewing. Overall an excellent value hotel in great location."
Sinead stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2004-09-25 and said, "Very nice hotel, rooms basic and clean. staff are lovely, so helpfull, would do anything for you."
Lindy stayed at Chaweng Villa Beach Resort on 2004-07-25 and said, "This hotel was AMAZING - the location was perfect, the ammenities were all-inclusive, beautiful grounds and beach, great restaurant. The staff was friendly and always helpful. The only tiny glitch - our room seemed to attract mosquitos, but it was a huge, affordable, great room!"
