Michael stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2008-05-25 and said, "Only 2 nites in hotel - great location, good service, good value, not too much construction noise, nice massage on beach next to hotel, Ninja Crepes cheap food across from hotel, would stay at Buri Rasa again. Many Thx Maria & Mike."
Maria stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2008-05-04 and said, "Wonderful small boutique hotel with excellent staff. However , the Green Olive rest. is very pricy for Thailand and the menu offered is lacking in inspiration.Perhaps management should consider a new , Thai national , Chef.Location on Chaweng is not too loud considering the Bars in the area , but mosquitoes may be a problem for some guests.Rooms are tasteful and clean. EXCELLENT BED.EXCELLENT POOL."
Peter stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2008-04-09 and said, "We just spent 10 days at the Buri Rasa Village. Between 8am and 5pm we experienced some noise from the adjacent building site. However we booked expecting this and received a discount price. Whilst the nose was audible in our room Rm17 the noise was not audible on the beach front, or from the pool and bar area. The hotel is well situated on Chewang beach. The rooms are very nice and the beds very comfortable. The service at this hotel is second to none. Nothing is to much trouble. The breakfast is good, the coffee whilst not great exceeded my expectations for Koh Samui. The Green Olive Restaurant is a little expensive by Koh Samui standards but the food is excellent. Across the road is Ninja Crepes for a cheap alternative and the food whilst not in the same class as the hotel is a still very good. I also recommend going on an island kayaking and snorkelling tour, and I highly recommend the Blue Star Operator. All in all I would have not problem recommending the Buri Rasa to anybody. Our stay was wonderful and once again the staff are fantastic nothing is too much trouble."
Maarit stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2008-03-25 and said, "Very nice small (only 32 rooms) hotel in a good location on Chaweng Beach. It s not in the middle of the lively night club area instead bit more south which makes it nice and peaceful. The beach is not grouded there and it s quite clean. There is a construcion work next to it so you should request the room on the other side since the work starts at 7am! The service is very nice and the breakfast is great. The pool is very small and it s almost impossible to swim there if there is more than 1 person in it. The spa is beautiful but quite pricey but there is plenty of massage shops and restaurants on the Chaweng Beach Road right outside the Buri Rasa. The best things on my opinion are the location, rooms and breakfast!"
SUN stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2008-03-09 and said, "Hotel is well designed, giving a feeling of in a small village. And Delux with a dip pool room is highly recommended for family with kids. There is a garten, so kids can play in the garten. But beach is a bit dirty."
Michelle stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2007-10-20 and said, "Excellent. Service absolutely fantastic, could not fault it. Nothing ever a too much for the staff. Resort not too big and very personal. Rooms (Deluxe balcony) Beautiful. Lovely finishings and very well serviced. Also very spacious. Restaurant expensive but Ian the chef very enthusiastic and always around to help with your choices. Happy hour at bar fun and the bar persons know how to make great cocktails. All in All highly recommended - will go back again!"
John stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2007-09-17 and said, "Fabulous hotel, worth every penny we paid for the rooms. Great location, unbelievable service and superb hospitality. We chose the rooms with the private dipping pool which I would highly recommend. Impressive breakfast offering and wonderful service everywhere. For a fantastic beach massage check out the massage facility just beside the hotel beach (south I believe). The hotel recommends Timmy tailor just a couple of 100 meters (600 feet or so)north of the hotel (turn right as you leave the hotel) and we too thought that he offered great product. Tell him that you heard about him from his Canadian customers! For exceptional inexpensive food try the 24 hour restaurant right across the hotel. Place doesn t look great but don t let that fool you."
KEVIN stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2007-09-13 and said, "We booked 2 standard rooms. Rooms are ample in size and nicely decorated. Road noise was not a problem in our rooms though ours were closet to the lobby. Good beach location. Service was very good property wide, though they could improve their beach and poolside bar service and likely achieve more sales. Breakfast buffet on the light side, but ample and had my favorite; smoked salmon!Would certainly recommend this place to anyone. Only wish they had had rooms to extend our stay.BTW, Sawasee offered room pricing discounts that hotel would not match with direct inquiry."
Ingrid stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2007-09-11 and said, "Buri Rasa is a very beautiful resort. It is nestled in the middle of Chaweng Beach- but very quiet inside the resort. When you like to have the full action you have only to leave the resort and you are in the big Chaweng Road with all the shops, restaurants and entertainment. The stuff is absolutely the best we have ever met in Thailand. The deluxeroom we booked was very nice, big enough and clean. We will stay there next year again."
John stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2007-07-01 and said, "The hotel was fairly decent, but overpriced in our opinion. For those of you considering this place, here s what you can expect. When we first reached the hotel, we were a bit nervous because it looked a little dumpy. For the price we were paying, I expected more. We checked into the room (Junior deluxe) and found the room to be quite small. The mattress sits quite low to the ground and has the mosquito net around it - a bit daunting to think we would have to be very carful with mosquito bites. The grounds are all lush with plants so mosquitos will always be there. Be sure to bring and use your mosquito repellent. The bathroom was OK - good size - but with a large wasted space that had a small ladder, a large bucket with water filled from a rustic looking tap. I guess it s just there for looks, but the space could be better used by making the room bigger. The wifi access in the room was flawless - this was important to us. The beach was well kept and clean and service on the beach was good. If you want chairs on the beach, it would be a good idea to reserve a couple before going to breakfast. They will hold it for you so you don t have to worry about not getting chairs on the beach. Don t expect much for breakfast. It s decent with fresh eggs cooked to order and a few buffet dishes (fried rice, noodles, potatos, sweet breads, juices etc.)Pretty basic stuff, but adequate. All in all, I would say it was expensive for what you get (we paid 6600Bhat - 4 nights get one free, so the average cost was about US$158 per night. Another important note - the staff was very good and accomodating - very important to us. Apart from breakfast we did not eat at the hotel. The restaurants did not look good to us. The beach bar was closed for renovations. We stayed at the Central beach resort the last time around, for about the same price. It s a bigger hotel and has all the trappings of a luxury resort. I wanted to try something different this time, but truth be told, we will probably stay at the Central next time as I prefer the luxury of that kind of hotel, not to mention the large variety for breakfast and lots of bars and restaurants on the grounds itself."
Chan stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2007-06-24 and said, "Good location and nicely decorated. It justifies the cost I paied."
Jesse stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2007-06-16 and said, "Buri Rasa is the nicest and most comfortable hotel I ve ever stayed at. The hotel staff are of the highest caliber and the rooms are like paradise. This hotel sits directly in the middle of Chaweng beach so you re probably in the nicest spot of the island."
Gerd stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2007-05-28 and said, "super hotel"
Warren stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2007-05-25 and said, "Great hotel if you fancy somthing a bit different. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and as I expected for the price. My only negative for the stay was all the mosquitos but I doubt this is the hotels fault!"
Justin stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2007-05-08 and said, "Really nice hotel, friendly staff, good facilities including complementary wi-fi, good buffet breakfast by Thai standards and excellent location. Quite a lot of mosquitoes around, but room has repellent and screen doors to keep them out. Would stay here again without hesitation."
Mike stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2007-04-29 and said, "This hotel is great.Located on the best section of Chaweng Beach - all staff really friendly & helpful, particularly the pool / beach team (they are brilliant)Breakfast choice is a little limited but excellent all the same. Accommodation was great - very clean and comfortable and unbelievably quiet given the hotel s location next to the main road.Aircon was excellent - efficient and quiet. Only drawback with the room was the absence of a bathtub - large shower however. Very handy IT area with complimentary library section. Didn t use the hotel restaurants as too much local choice on the doorstep - however those guests that used them were very complimentary. I have been a hotel General Manager for nearly 30 years and you can take my word that if you choose this this hotel you will have made a very good choice."
Kirk stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2007-03-28 and said, "lovely hotel and good location on the nicer side of chaweng beach. the spa is excellent and suprisingly underbooked. the staff was helpful and friendly, especially in the spa and at the beach bar, but have to say that some of the restaurant staff seemed to be put out when i asked for something. not sure if that is a language issue."
Thomas stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2007-03-02 and said, "Very nice and small hotel on one off the best parts in chaweng beach, with friendly staff.Everything what you want happens.Beautiful and clean rooms and a great swimming-pool."
Angela stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2007-02-13 and said, "Absolutely fabulous resort. One in a million. The place to stay for the perfect relax, serenity amongst the busy beach. The service is the best on the island. The dip pool is a def must. Was so lovely we got engaged at the resort. Will def come back, and recommend to all visitors to Koh Samui. Many thanks again to the staff at Buri Rasa Village, for a wonderful Thai experience. Kind regards Angela & Aaron"
Marisa stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2007-01-18 and said, "Excellent place to stay in Koh Samui x would highly recommend!! Staff are so nice and cannot do enough for you. The food is excellent too. Located on the main high street but not to near the night life (10min walk). Accomodation very clean. Did not have any problems booking in or anything to complain about. IT WAS PERFECT."
Donna stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2007-01-10 and said, "My husband and I stayed at Buri Rasa as part of our honeymoon and I can highly recommend this hotel. The hotel is lovely, great spot right on the beach, yet very private from the main street and further away fromthe hussle and bustle on the beach. The service is excellent, the food was great. The rooms were fine, not as large as some but they were very private... go for the room with the dip pool. Would stay here again for sure, after taking a look at some other hotels along Chaweng Beach, I think this one is one of the best."
Christian stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2007-01-03 and said, "excellent hotel in a good situationvery charming hotel, extremely friendly and efficient service.a place to be..."
Lisa stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-12-28 and said, "We have just returned from 8 nights staying at the Buri Rasi. We would highly recommend staying at this boutique hotel, the staff were so friendly and helpful and could not do enough for us. We celebrated New Year at the hotel and the nights entertainment was great. We will definetly be returning in the near future and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Chawen Beach, Koh Samui."
Justin stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-11-15 and said, "Wow! What a fantastic boutique resort - has all the spoils of a 5 star resort but it s small enough not to be too crowded, which is exactly what we were looking for. The layout and design of the whole resort, including the bedrooms, is truly Thai which is what we were looking for. The service was unbelievable, we were treated like royalty during our entire stay. The selection of meals at the restaurant is awesome and the quality of food is world class. The setting of the resort is great, out of the buzz of Chaweng but just a few minutes walk to the hub of the shopping area. We compared this resort to the others while we were there and we were satisfied we had made the right choice. We honestly did not have any negative experiences while we were there. Thank you Buri Rasa for an unforgettable experience - we will definitely be back!"
Christian stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-10-29 and said, "Indeed very good but rooms a bit small. Perfect service. We booked a deluxe garden court with dip pool, with a private and walled tropical garden, however, we could easily be seen from 3 other rooms, hence no privacy at all.Lot of mosquitoes, and the hotel does not have any preventive action."
Pearlita stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-10-11 and said, "The hotel was absolutely gorgeous! The room was a little small, but if you get the outdoor garden it doesn t matter. The bathroom was nice and large. The room was always serviced perfectly and they even give you little candies with the turn down service. Reception was very good at booking tours for us and the staff was always friendly. Breakfast was good every morning. It was cheaper to eat outside of the hotel for other meals. The beach is beautiful and the hotel s area was always clean. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, and recommend it to anyone seeking a restful stay at Chaweng beach."
Annette stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-10-09 and said, "We really liked it! The hotel is situated right at the beach, but in a quite part of it - no other hotel on either side (and no construction site either...) The beach is quite wide and the drop in the water is not steep, which is good for children. We had a room in the middle of the resort - important to ask for a quiet room if you don t want the noise of the night market and bars till early in the morning in a room closer to the street. Food and drinks costs are in mid-range for Samui, and quality is fine. However, check all restaurant bills before you settle your account at the end of your stay - we discovered staff had made several changes after we had signed without telling us..."
Grant stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-10-03 and said, "Me and my fiance chose Buri Rasa as our honeymoon destination, and we were NOT disappointed. What a beautiful hotel! The facilities are just as nice, or better, than they appear on the hotel web site. Excellent service. All the little touches of a 5-star hotel, for a very reasonable price. We would most definitely stay again. We both agreed that our trip to Buri Rasa was the best honeymoon we ve ever had! (Only one thing negative to say: the 500 baht cost of the airport pickup/dropoff from the hotel was a bit of a gauge for a 5km ride)."
Jie stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-09-29 and said, "Absolutely beautiful hotel, everthing is so good, however the restaurant close a little early."
yvette stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-09-21 and said, "Our stay was great - staff were extremely helpful. Unfortuantely we could not get an early check in which was a pain after arriving on samui at 7am, but can understand this since the resort is small, only 30 or so rooms. In the middle of chaweng - everything is easy to walk to, yet still peaceful at the resort - beach gorgeous and clean. would definitely recommend staying here - heavenly."
Ilona stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-09-13 and said, "Very nice hotel, but rooms are bit small. Breakfast good be little better and the beds are to small for european people. Overall good hotel with nice staff. But compare to Muang Samui hotel were whe stayed last february, I would recommend Muang Samui as the best of Chaweng Beach."
Robert stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-09-09 and said, "We stayed for 6 night at Buri Rasa in mid September. We had a garden court rom with dip pool. We did use the dip pool, although the beach is so nice to swim in, we didn’t use it a lot.At first I found the whole Chaweng beach experience a shock after having just staying at the very relaxing Central Krabi Bay Resort in the Ao Nang area.Buri Rasa is a fantastic haven within the mayhem that is the Chaweng streets. It provides great access to either the shopping and restaurants on the street but also to the wide array of restaurants along the beach. The main pool is different to the normal resort pool the black tiling and grey sides makes it feel more like a large elegant water feature than an inviting pool, but still nice to swim in. This didn’t really bother us as we tended to swim in the ocean mostly. We found the service at Buri Rasa’s beach side restaurant a little lacking, but this is only because of the extremely high level of service you tend to expect at the nicer Thai restaurants in the Chaweng area.Breakfast buffet was good, with all the usual fruit, pastries, juices, cereals, but overall quality and presentation was not as excellent as we have experienced at other resorts. Eggs are freshly cooked to order, but mostly were a little dry.Even though we stayed in September it only rained twice in the week were there. Unfortunately the TV channels seemed to “drop outin the periods of heavy rain."
Kathleen stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-09-02 and said, "We stayed 2 nights at the Buri Rasa for our honeymoon. I could not of been more impressed. The hotel and the service was amazing. We stayed in the private garden with private dip pool room and it was beutiful. The hotel location was perfect. Close enough to all the action yet without the noise. The beach is amazing, the hotel really takes care of it. Overall an amzaing experience and I would return there in a second."
Cato stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-08-21 and said, "Very good hotel. Serviceminded staff that brings you cool towels and fruit on the beach. Rooms are very nice, cleaning several times each day, snacks provided each day. Hotel is situated on a quiet part on Chaweng beach. If you are planning to stay on Chaweng I recommend this hotel."
Christian stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-08-04 and said, "Actually a nice hotel, but rooms are a bit small. Hotel does not really cater the needs for children, i.e. baby crips seem to be 50 years old and cushions are covered with stains, so that we decided to let our baby sleep in our bed. Only 1 highchair in the restaurant. In view of the pricing which is rather on the high side I would say there are better deals in Chaweng Beach."
Helen stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-07-28 and said, "This is a lovely friendly hotel situated on the best part of Chaweng beach. The accommodation is lovely , well cared for and the staff are very attentive. We stayed in the garden court accommodation , which enhanced the sensation of space and calm , although we did not sit out at night or in the evening to avoid the mosquitoes. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and tasteful. The food is very good , lunches cost 90-220 baht in the hotel (£1.50-£4.00) drinks were reasomable and cocktails just less than £3. Breakfast buffet was good all cooked items were prepared fesh and brought to you in the open air dining room.Service was very pleasant but if you arrived with a few other people you would have to wait, not a problem as far as I was concerned as the surroundings are very pleasant. The swimming pool is more a posing pool , but the beach is yards away and swimming is easy there. The beach was kept very clean in front of the hotel , this is a contrast to the north where there are busy bars and many more people and dogs on the sand.Overall not cheap but well worth the money if you want a peaceful, picturesque stay in Samui."
James stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-07-26 and said, "Lovely hotel and for once as described on the website, which is not always the case. Buri Rasa has the most friendly staff. The hotel itself is very nice, and well kept. We will be returning to Koh Samui one day and will certainly stay again."
will stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-07-08 and said, "Only had one day stay at this hotel.Small room as expected, but excellent decor within hotel and room. rusty/thai atmosphere. (hotel will need some touch up to keep it not so rusty later on. KEY POINTS HERE: BEST BEACH AREA IN CHEWANG!!!CHEWANG is a long stretch, known for best sand/water quality in samui. However, up north on Chewang, you get a very narrow beach (not nice). It widens up going south. Cental Chewang- best sand, best water, but are CROWDED, very public atmosphere, BUT surprisingly, NOT crowded at BURI RASA part. Not sure what the hotel did, but definitely feel secluded on the beach outside this hotel."
Michael stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-07-04 and said, "The Buri Rasa was great. Our stay here was the highlight of our trip. The small, intimate and unique feel to this hotel makes it special. The beach is beautiful, the rooms are amazing, the pool is great, the breakfast buffet is delicious. The hotel staff is laid back and friendly. The Green Olive restaurant is delicious and the inside room is quaint and comfortable. The food was great and one of the best dinners we had in Samui. If you like small, quiet, intimate and relaxed hotels, this is the place for you."
Raphael stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-06-30 and said, "A fantastic hotel, great decor, excellent service. I highly recommend it!"
Jeannie stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-05-20 and said, "The hotel was perfect for what we were looking for: a small boutique hotel, very service-oriented, free wireless use, a good restaurant at reasonable prices and most important, right on the beach. A fabulous place to stay."
Saeed stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-05-19 and said, "My wife and I married at the Buri Rasa Resort, and truly had the most wonderful experience. The hotel staff were extremely obliging, and ensured that our day ran smoothly. We enjoy our privacy, and this was not compromised in any way during our wedding, everything was conducted in an extremely private manner. We really could not thank the hotel staff enough. We highly recommend the food at The Green Olive, both the food and the service was of an extremely high quality - none of our special requirements presented any problem to the chef. The resort itself was small and cosy, and our sea view suite accomodation was beautiful, with two very private balconies. All in all, by far the best resort we have chosen from all of our Koh Samui experiences. Well done!"
Grace stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-05-01 and said, "We stayed at the Buri Rasa Village for four nights and the service was satisfactory. Was a little disappointed in the room size. We stayed in a Garden Court Villa. Breakfast selection was good but service was slow at times. The beach directly in front of the hotel would have been better if the staff took the time to rake the sand of litter. The service staff were very polite and accommodating, trying to help the best they could. Overall was satisfied but it did not exceed expectations."
Desilvestri stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-02-28 and said, "I ve been there for 6 days. The hotel is very poor and I did not have any special feeling.Paying a little bit more than bath 6000 a day(that I paid for)I d have spent my holidays in a 5 stars hotel (MUANG SPA, CENTRAL SAMUI,AMARI).I d have had my breakfast whith fresh cookies ( and not ,as they were at least, 3-4 days old) and eggs sunny up in less than 20 minutes. The beach in front Buri Rasa was always dirty (they don t clean) and I had to put the umbrella on the beach 3 times by myself because no one was taking care of.I repeat I paid bath 6000 a day for a hotel which should be 2/3 thousand worthNot a good experience at all."
Matteo stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-01-28 and said, "Excellent service, great smile, food 10+, I v booked for a suite close to the beach with deep pool and the reality was much more better than in the pictures.Great location, nice management and staff.APPROVED!"
Andre stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-01-23 and said, "Ideally located at the quieter south end of Chaweng but walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment Chaweng has on offer. We chose to stay in a villa with dip pool. Very private, secure and quiet. Very comfortable bed and room equipped with 5 star amenities. The dip pool is set in a private tropical garden setting. We ate out most nights but most nights ended up at the front bar. The bar staff make excellent cocktails at a reasonable price (100THB). The Long Island Tea was our favourite. The service never let us down. The girls at the front bar were especially friendly and professional. The accommodation is new and boutique in size. We did a lot of research on other hotels in the Chaweng area and found this one provided the luxury and privacy we wanted in a busy part of Samui. The restaurant and pool is located at the rear of the property overlooking Chaweng beach. Would highly recommend. Ideally suited tofamily/couples/singles looking for privacy and a bit of luxury and personal boutique service."
Jorge stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2006-01-05 and said, "Buri Rasa Village at Ko Samui was one destiantion among 8 diferentes places which my Family and I visit in our last trip over Asia .We have chosen Buri Rasa on the top of our preferances ; just two things to improve from our standing point : the swimming pool (it seams to be a garden fountain ) and a little flexibility on cheking out ; one more hour dósen t make any problem for the hotel but it can disturb a lot to the guests ."
Andrea stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2005-11-01 and said, "Wonderful hotel in the middle of Chawang but nevertheless very quiet. Nice staff, warm welcome - everything perfect. And the Italian restaurant is highly recommended!"
Guido stayed at Buri Rasa Village on 2005-10-01 and said, "The resort is very tasteful. All rooms are nicely furnished and very clean. It is located at the best area of Koh Samui´s nicest beach Chaweng. The personnel was very friendly and helpful. Service was excellent. The pool and beach area were well taken care of and tasteful created. The breakfast was OK but little variation and sometimes it took a little too long for refilling. The included restaurant was not too good but very close by the “eat sensewas the nicest restaurant we found on Koh Samui. All in all we can fully recommend Buri Rasa and we will very likely come back."
