Heiko stayed at Bill Resort on 2008-03-25 and said, "I had the new delux room and it was good for the prise. The staff wasn´t good and helpful as you usually know in thailand. The people who stayed there at this time where too much touristic for me, so i won´t go there for a second time."
ivan stayed at Bill Resort on 2008-03-19 and said, "i found NO fault with the bill resort whatsoever, i messed up on the booking times and the staff at the bill were more than helpful with accommadating me and my wife and 2 other friends in a nice upgrade for the extra 2 nights.the staff in reception were polite , plesent and friendly at all times, the resteraunt staff were also extremely helpfull and the service was 110%.the next time we stay on koh samui we will definitely be staying at the bill resort . oh i must not forget to mention (NAH) the slayer of the hill, there is a very steep hill down to the pool, resteraunt area which (NAH) will gladly transport you from top to bottom and vise versa, onboard his trusty old golf trolley.a big thankyou to evryone at the bill resort for making our first trip anywhere such an easy and enjoyable timemiss you all ivan and julie"
Jane stayed at Bill Resort on 2008-03-16 and said, "Bill Resort was lovely - the rooms where nice and clean, the staff were friendly, it s right on the beach, the pool was nice but Lamai is horrible. Full of grotty bars and not at all safe for a girl on her own. Nowhere to go in the evening, or in the daytime and a taxi ride into Chaweng is expensive. Would be much better off getting a place in Chaweng which I ended up doing for my last few nights. The actual resort is really nice though."
stayed at Bill Resort on 2008-02-24 and said, "Expensive internet. No real path to the main street. Breakfast was not as good as it should have been for cost of resort. Restaurant was expensive, quite slow and had some unfriendly staff - who seemed more interested in regular or long-stay guests than us!"
Eran stayed at Bill Resort on 2008-02-15 and said, "Me and my wife have stayed at the grand double bungalow, which was found to be located far from the beach, pool and restaurant and requiered a lot oh hill climbing. Prefered bungalows location are the connecting bungalows especially #119, 120 & 121.The bungalow was huge, but had not enough light at night and no poor water presure in the bathroom. The bungalows are located in a beatiful tropical garden.Pool was great and just few steps from the hotel private beach. Staff were freindly and helpful. Breakfast was poor and not satisfactory. The airport pick up (late at night) and drop off (early in the morning) provided by the hotel at addtional cost were efficiant and good."
Louis stayed at Bill Resort on 2008-02-07 and said, "A very pleasant place to spend 2 weeks at - friendly, helpful staff; excellent breakfast buffet (my favourite meal of the day); delicious food at reasonable prices (no fear of digestive problems); nearness to the beach. One Swedish couple we met by the pool claimed that they were spending their seventh holiday at Bill Resort - they preferred the friendly atmosphere there as well as uncrowded, vendor-sparse Lamai Beach. Our simple bungalow was fully adequate for our needs and everything worked well. We can warmly recommend Bill Resort and if you need tailored clothes we recommend EURO Fashion in Lamai Village - meticulous staff who really go out of their way to satisfy your clothing needs."
David stayed at Bill Resort on 2008-01-22 and said, "Great value resort. Quiet location near the end of Lamai beach is the perfect place, nice facilities and great helpful friendly staff. Good meals and good service, Bill Resort cannot be beat for value and I will most definetly stay there when I return to Samui"
Jani stayed at Bill Resort on 2008-01-10 and said, "This was now my second time in Bill Resort and also in Thailand. I wanted to stay again in Bill because I like it. Especially I like Bill´s atmosphere, anti-plastic feeling. Very nice beach, good swimming pool (life saver in hangover) and very good breakfast. Nice service too, better than their english. You can also rent motorbike (I did) or car if you are crazy enough to drive there. Location is also pretty good, not too close to Lamai Beach Road but near enough(about 1 km). No doubt where I´m staying next time in Samui!"
Lungenschmid stayed at Bill Resort on 2008-01-01 and said, "Waren zufrieden mit Personal und mit dem Service. Würden jedoch das nächste Mal eine andere Anlage wählen, da die Superior Bungalows direkt nebeneinander gebaut sind und daher sehr hellhörig sind."
A. stayed at Bill Resort on 2007-12-20 and said, "We spent ten nights at Bill Resort and had a fabulous time. We stayed in a Superior Room and although it was a bit worn it s great value for money. Spotless & cleaned every day. My only complaint would be the very hard mattress! Bill is in a great location. Right on the beach with a lovely short walk along the beach to the shops. The restaurant is perfectly fine and there are also lots of other restaurants along the beach for variety. The weather was perfect except for the one day rain! We loved it!"
Tamzin stayed at Bill Resort on 2007-12-03 and said, "Fantastic value for money. Buildings and bungalows very clean and room service for clean and tidy on request. Fresh towels everyday and had beach towels by the pool. Rooms were moderate size for the price. Breakfast is fresh and tasty with a lovely setting with the restaurant being on the beach. The hotel is a short walk (10-15mins) on the beach or by main road into town. You are able to swim in the sea although there is a slight shore dump but all the same it was pleasant. The swimming pool in the hotel is placed nicely near the beach and restaurant. The front receptions staff are very friendly and helpful and can help with all tours and giving advise on how to get around. In fact all staff on the resort are very friendly. The beach is pleasant and very clean. Fully recommend hiring bikes or scooters to do some exploring with a map yourself. I was impressed that Bill Resort had gone to so much effort to ensure that the buildings were set into the vegetation. Allot of effort and thought has gone into lighting and ensure everything is concealed into natural elements like lights in coconuts. All in all we had a fantastic time."
Christine stayed at Bill Resort on 2007-10-30 and said, "Great location on Lamai Beach with a great beachfront! The bungalow was great, we stayed in the standard bungalows. Just a VERY short walk to the beach, pool, and restaurant. The entire facility was very nice and private. It was just a quick walk along the beach into the town of Lamai. Absolutely no noise from the road or town, so perfect for families or people who don t like to be up until 3 in the morning. I would absolutely stay here again! Worth the price."
Christoph stayed at Bill Resort on 2007-07-26 and said, "I stayed in the cheapest room category and still was fully satisfied. The room was spacious and it was just several steps to the pool and the beach. The staff is very friendly, breakfast, pool and beach are above standard as well. The location of the Resort is not very central, it is a 15 min walk on the beach to the Lamai city centre. I would recommend Bill Resort only to people who are looking for a relaxed, quiet atmosphere."
Katja stayed at Bill Resort on 2007-03-26 and said, "I ve booked a grand deluxe bungalow. It was really nice, clean and spacy, with a double and a single bed (another bed would have easily fitted in the room) and a bathtub. Only setback was that you had to climb the really steep road (ca. 50 m.) to the reception and the bungalow every time you came from the restaurant, beach or swimming pool. Upon arrival they drive you up to the reception with a golf cart. Otherwise, everything was fine. The pick-up from the airport wasn t there (although reserved on this site) but it was really easy (and cheaper, don t pay more dan 500 Bath) to take a taxi from the airport to the resort (and later on back to airport). The loacation itself was perfect: nice beach (it gets cleaned every morning) and good swimming. The staff was also very friendly and helpfull."
Christina stayed at Bill Resort on 2007-03-23 and said, "We (a family of four)had a beach front bungalow, which is very nice but can have some noise at night from the neighboring bar. The air con was in a very bad shape and very noisy. Except for the noise we loved to stay at Bills. The surroundings are beatiful and the beach and pool are perfect. We would recommend this resort."
Francois stayed at Bill Resort on 2007-03-22 and said, "This was my 3rd visit to this resort. THey have addeded a swimming pool. That was missing. It is a very good resort. The price is reasonable considering Koh Samui is becoming very commercial. Staff very friendly. The restaurant is a bit on the expensive side though.. but there is plenty of choices in Lamai if you want local cheap food."
Lila stayed at Bill Resort on 2007-03-01 and said, "Great Location, Good Buffet Breakfast. Great Pool. For the price and expectations for a superior bungalow i was satisfied and happy. Was abit old and ramshackle and offered heaps of authenticity, character and charm. It was simplistic, no frills. Who wants to pay for all the unnescessary frills anyway - it s money better spent on a cocktail on the beautiful beach. The resort and location are perfect for relaxation. I came here with a friend, but in the future I would have no problem bringing my young children and husband to stay here to enjoy Lamai Beach. Resort is on sloping site, so this is also a consideration of which room you might stay in. Staff were good to."
Ilana stayed at Bill Resort on 2007-02-15 and said, "We had a very pleasant stay at Bill resort .Its location at the southern end of the Lamai beach is definitely an advantage since it makes it a quite corner .Its really a piece of paradise with excellent breakfast. We stayed at the Superior Bungalow category which has an old version and a new one called 2005. The difference between the two categories in standards is remarkable, had we known it before we would pay the difference.Staff is very friendly ,we recommend particularly a contact with Noury who runs the show and is very efficient and helpful. We recommend the hotel to dry some of the standing water fish ponds which are neglected and harbor polluted water with insects and mosquitos. We would certainly come back again."
Tanja stayed at Bill Resort on 2007-01-11 and said, "This was our last stop during our 3 weeks Thailand trip - and definitly the highlight! When we first walked the way from the street to the resort we were critical what to expect, because it was very dark and you could not see where the way goes to. But finally we reached the entrance and it was like paradise! It is a very nice resort in the more silent area of Lamai. We stayed in a superior bungalow close to the pool and had short ways to restaurant and beach. The bungalow was clean and very nice and big! Food is excellent and the beach beautiful! We enjoyed this days very much and felt sorry to leave."
Joanna stayed at Bill Resort on 2007-01-03 and said, "The hotel was fine, we stayed in Superior Bungalow. Only minus was the water pressure from the shower - there was any. Frogs were little bit loud during the night.. Breakfast was very good and also other foods on the menu, we had dinner couple of times in hotels restaurant."
Lasse stayed at Bill Resort on 2006-12-17 and said, "If we go back to Lamai again, we stay some place else. For the money you pay, you can find better places with higher standard closer to Lamai center. Rooms were ok and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was in pour standard and everything went wet there, even toilet paper, while taking a shower.Food was tasty and breakfast ok. Pool was ok. Staff was not as helpful as in other places we stayed in."
C stayed at Bill Resort on 2006-09-29 and said, "Bill Resort was more than I expected and I ll definately stay again when I return next May. My bungalow was a few steps from Lamai beach, the pool and restaurant. Cleaned every day by delightful staff and asking for extra bottles of water posed no problem what-so-ever. 10 minute walk by the beach to the center of town and night life. Very quite, no noise from the bars and discos filter to the resort. Both AC and fan worked as needed. All in all a great place to stay if your not into luxury and over-pampering. Only thing I found a bit disappointing was that the hotel charges for reconfirming your flight home and taking you to the airport. Not good in my opinion..."
Taryn stayed at Bill Resort on 2006-08-10 and said, "The hotel was very pleasant. the location at the end of Lamai beach menat it was quite quiet and relaxing. the beach itself is very pretty with a few granite boulders. the walk into Lamai town is a bit cumbersome along the road but very nice along the beach. The staff was quite pleasant and the breakfast buffet very good. we did not eat at the hotel restaurant as there were plenty of beach restaurants and bars along the beach to choose from."
clifton stayed at Bill Resort on 2006-08-08 and said, "This is an excellent place for a family, or travellers with more Baht. The road is a three minute walk. you don t have to wait long for a songtheaw, or motorbike taxi. Take one to the aquarium, Donmuang waterfall, a snorkel trip- it s all great for a family. The beach in front of the resort is one of the best- low or high tide. The connecting room villa is very clean and spacious. Don t know about the TV- didn t use it. We went in August. Weather was not constantly bright, like December, but there was plenty of sun every day. The odd rain cloud was refreshing. The restaurant and pool are nice. The grounds have a pleasant jungly feel."
ERIC stayed at Bill Resort on 2006-05-13 and said, "Hotel is situated at a somewhat out-of-the-way spot on the beach. Some walking (which is good for your body) to get to where the shops and restaurants are (or to the part of the beach where you could actually swim in). It seems that the higher-priced bungalows are in better shape than the standard bungalow I stayed in. Although the room was clean, quite a number of things made the stay rather unpleasant. First, the switch for the A/C seemed malfunctioning, so it was either off or too cold. The bathroom sink was leaking, which was very annoying as my feet got wet due to the splashing of the leaking water. The water from the shower was pathetically weak, which made shower and shampoo a much more time-consuming business than it should be. There were ants busy doing their thing, though I could tolerate that. But a FROG managed to squeezed through a crack on the wooden floor and entered into my room. I knew it because I saw it with my own eyes. Ever since then it took residence alternately in the bathroom and at a corner behind the dressing table. Although it didn t make any noise, I really wasn t thrilled by the idea of sharing a bungalow with a frog. As a vegan I asked at the hotel restuarant if they could prepare vegetarian dishes - virtually every item on their menu was meat-based. The response from the restaurant staff seemed less than enthusiatic - even if taking into consideration the language barrier. There s a nice local restaurant within walking distance from the resort that would serve vegetarian food though. The bungalow did not have in-room safe deposit box. You have to use the lockers provided in a room next to the reception. Given the price they d charged, I certainly would not return to this resort. I was able to find much better rooms at a lower price both in Lamai and Chaweng."
Jeremy stayed at Bill Resort on 2006-04-23 and said, "We had a pleasant stay at Bill. The bungalows were cosy although could do with a refurbish, but you get what you pay for. The restaurant was great, most of the staff were polite and helpful. If you don t make breakfast within the first hour, the food goes and is not replaced. I found the sea here to be great for swimming, and even managed a spot of snorkelling around the rocks, quite a few fish, but dont expect any coral"
Joni stayed at Bill Resort on 2006-03-07 and said, "This is a nice hotel. I recommend. Almost jungle sounds at night:D Rooms were cozy, not so great quality. No cleaning/make up in 3 days? Beds are unfortunately very stif. Restaurant(breakfast..) at the best place on beach, near ocean. Nice pool. Good service. 125cc scooter at 150 baht/24h (3â‚?"
Nussbaumer stayed at Bill Resort on 2006-02-22 and said, "Die gebuchten Superior -Bungalows von Bill Resort waren so olala.
Christine stayed at Bill Resort on 2006-02-14 and said, "Bill Resort is a good choice. It is located on the best part of Lamai Beach in a quiet tropical garden only a few minutes walk along the beach from the night life in the city. It has a nice pool area on the beach. We found the see clearer in the south part of Lamai, where Bill Resort is located, than on the other part. We had a nice newly built bungalow. The staff was friendly and helpful."
Petra stayed at Bill Resort on 2006-02-06 and said, "Hotel surroundings were lovely. Breakfast was plenteous and service helpful. Hotel restaurant was good. Beach was just few steps from the pool. Only minus I give for rooms and location. Cheaper rooms were not that nice. Over all I enjoyd staying there and would go back next time."
Keith stayed at Bill Resort on 2006-01-31 and said, "Samui is a bit busy for my tastes - but Bill Resort was great - staff was fantastic, the breakfasts were delicious and the room clean."
daniela stayed at Bill Resort on 2006-01-16 and said, "ALLES SUPER TOLL !!!! BESSER KANN EIN URLAUB NICHT SEIN !!! VIELEN DANK DANIELA & MARIANNEPS: WIR WERDEN WIEDER KOMMEN !!!"
Kristine stayed at Bill Resort on 2006-01-09 and said, "Very nice hotell, by the beach. Good clean bungalows :) The service in the restaurant could do with some aprovement, but with the multiple choices of resaurants in the vicinity makes this no big problem. i recommend this hotell to couples or childrenfamilies :)"
Mark stayed at Bill Resort on 2006-01-01 and said, "In a word: paradise. My fiancee and I did a lot of research about Samui and decided to settle on Lamai Beach as it was more appropriate for honeymooning than the bustle of Chaweng. From the moment we arrived at Bill Resort, we found ourselves saying Wow all week long. The service was excellent: the front desk booked our tours, rented us scooters, even changed lightbulbs on demand, and ALWAYS with a smile! The little restaurant seemed to be the envy of the beachfront as we could see random passers-by gawking with envy as we sipped Fruit Smoothies within yards of the surf. The daily breakfast was incredible - everything from bacon to made-to-order omelettes to fresh fruit, etc. They even prepared it early specifically for us when our scuba tour picked us up at dawn one morning! Add to that the two ladies who do massages on the beach only metres away and you have the perfect beach setting. There have been reviews posted about poor service and massive renovations at Bill Resort; rest assured we saw no sign of either, so there must have been big changes for the better within the last year. Even the pool area is complete and very relaxing as drinks are served poolside and one can bill their room and sign out free towels at their leisure. The New Bungalow Deluxe in which we stayed was clean and comfortable, and our valuables were always secure in the lockbox provided. For anyone seeking a humble hideaway off the beaten path, but minutes from Lamai strip via scooter or taxi, Bill Resort is the place for you! It will always be in our memory as the perfect honeymoon cache."
Terri stayed at Bill Resort on 2005-12-29 and said, "We had a superior bungalow down the short but steep drive way, directly across from pool (which wasn’t mentioned on website so a fab bonus), basic and clean, great food and staff were all very helpful. Road is in bad need of repair which gives first impression of resort a bit run down, but very authentic decor and you can walk to Lamai for bars and shopping along beach 10-15 mins. Only double and 1 single bed for 3 singles people and aircon not working (amazing soft pillows), but for your money you get a pretty good place!!!Cheers Terri"
Kristin stayed at Bill Resort on 2005-12-29 and said, "The staff at the Bill resort were great! We booked a bungalo at the resort; it was very close to the beach and comfortable. Although the room was clean at check-in; due to the rustic setting the floor, counters, and beds had a thin layer of dust and some visitors! The staff was very helpful clearing out the visitors when asked. The ammenities were great including, internet, int l phone calling capability, restaurant, pool, and beach. We had a very relaxing time and even extended our stay an additional night. Housekeeping service is included, but don t forget to hang the sign on the door--they re very respectful of your privacy."
Ady stayed at Bill Resort on 2005-12-24 and said, "very welcoming. nice bunglow 2 min from the beach, great stuff, great food. a little bit far from the lamai beach but still very quiet and lovely, and only 5 min from the lamai beach action and only 20 min from chaweng beach. enjoy."
Sandra stayed at Bill Resort on 2005-11-27 and said, "Its a very nice place o stay on Koh Samui. Lovely bungalows and friendly staff. We would come back again."
Micaela stayed at Bill Resort on 2005-08-17 and said, "The resort is very nicely located , in our opinion the best spot on Lamay beach.Bungalows are basic but nice. Probably Bill Resort is now building too many rooms and there are too many pipes and wires around. The beach should be cleaner as turists are not always polite, but nobody is there to clean up the litter. All in all we spent a very good time , people were very nice, service was prompt and the whole period was very good value. We will reccomend Bill resort to our friends."
Rachel stayed at Bill Resort on 2005-03-21 and said, "We absolutely loved our ocean-front room. It has been a while since we were at Bill Resort, but I would recommend the staying there to someone if they could get the room we had, which opened out to the beach. I don t think the other rooms were all as nice. We received friendly service. One thing: We could have used more towels...."
William stayed at Bill Resort on 2005-03-09 and said, "We enjoyed our stay at the Bill. The Garden Bungalow we had was nice and quiet, which we greatly appreciated having come from another resort which was next to the main road and noisy with traffic. Bill s location away from the road was nice, and it s tropical garden atmosphere was nice also with the bird and lizard sounds etc. which we enjoyed. There seemed to be plenty of staff to take care of business and we felt the resort was fairly well run. Breakfast by the sea was fine in the nicely decorated restaurant and the beach location was fine also. Our bungalow had many steps to climb to get to it from the beach but hey... the exercise was good for us. Have to walk along the beach to get to Lamai center quickly as the road is not direct.Only thing missing was a pool, which would have been nice, but then we came to Koh Samui for the beach didn t we..."
Maria stayed at Bill Resort on 2005-02-09 and said, "A very nice and helpfull staf,a good restaurant and clean room. The place is peacefull few minuts walk from both center of Lamai or Big Father. I would choose it again."
Erik stayed at Bill Resort on 2005-02-03 and said, "We liked it a lot! It is not close to anything, but you can take a 15 minute walk on the beache( no punishment), or take a taxi to go to town. But we found the best beach bar just right next to Bill. (Just walk to your right for a minute .) They serve the best real fresh fruit pina collada s we had on samui while laying on the beach watching the stars and sea! They clean the rooms daily, and they have the softest bed linnen we had in Thailand. It is a bit rundown, but it is fairly priced and the Thai food is good. Very nice and relaxed atmospher. Lots of shade on the terrace, nice when it is 32 degrees. Beach is quiet and clean, wich is not the case on most of the beach. And for just 300 bath you can enjoy some lovely oil masages right on the beach. We loved it, we even went back there on our return to Bangkok."
Frits stayed at Bill Resort on 2004-09-16 and said, "We enjoyed our stay at the resort, lovely clean bungalows in a nice garden, familiar atmosphere, very friendly staff and the food was excellent, almost every day fresh seafood, in the restaurant, delicious! Nice quiet beach.Yes we will come back sometime."
Cornelia stayed at Bill Resort on 2004-09-12 and said, "Very nice, friendly and helpful people. Beautiful bungalows in a great environment. Relatively quiet beach. Perfect place to relax."
John stayed at Bill Resort on 2004-07-31 and said, "i was very dissapointed with the bill resort nothing that was on the net was there the beach outside u couldnt swim in it as there were loads of rocks the out side of the room was full of ants to many steaps to our room which were not told of on the web site to b honest id never go near there again u were away from everywere"
Carsten stayed at Bill Resort on 2004-07-05 and said, "The superior bungalow was fine at all. Also was the service and the friendlyness of the staff. The room was made up every day with fresh bedcloth and towels. The only thing we had to get used to were the frogs making loud noise during night hours directly in front of our bungalow."
