Rod stayed at Bay View Resort on 2008-03-11 and said, "This was our second visit to Bay View Resort as we were so impressed the first time. Our second visit didn t disappoint either. It is in a fabulous location, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food at the resort is good. I strongly recommend Bay View Resort."
Michael stayed at Bay View Resort on 2008-02-25 and said, "Sehr nette Anlage!Mit freundlichem Personal, toller Pool ohne Chlor.Sehr kinderfreundlich Eigener Strand der aber nicht immer zum schwimmen ist mit Kinder aber super zum plantschen.Auto mieten und die Insel erkunden.Zimmer super sauber und mann bekommt alles was man will.Wir werden sicher wieder kommen.Michael, Melanie und Moritz 2,5 Jahre"
Jana stayed at Bay View Resort on 2008-02-22 and said, "a great location to stay in Lamai. Very clean and nice bungalows. The food was excellent. I would love to come back soon."
Katherine stayed at Bay View Resort on 2008-02-18 and said, "great. suits a good range of budget. this time i went alone. which was fine and fun but next time will bring a friend. because it s very romantic. lovely sunset view point."
Jasmin stayed at Bay View Resort on 2008-02-10 and said, "I absolutely don t understand why this resort got so many good reviews! The hut we got offered was a disaster. The worst I have ever seen in Thailand and we have seen quite a lot. This hut (N0111) was worth 100 Baht and not 1000 Baht. It was tiny, stinky, old and dirty. There was not even a real shower and you couldn t open the toilet door properly because of the sink behind it. There were dead flys everywhere, on the bed, even under the cushion, in the toilet and at the windows. There were holes in the sheets and a very old blanket, that I wouldn t even use for a cat or a dog. The owner is German and so you could expect some more professionalism. We were shocked about the room and when we heard the constructions next door, we left immediately. We found another really nice resort called Sand Sea for a bit more money but 100 times better. Maybe the seaview bungalows at the bay view are better but the owner should be ashamed to offer that shithole! to any customer."
HERVE stayed at Bay View Resort on 2008-01-26 and said, "excellente adresse -ne figurant pourtant pas sur les guides français consultés - et pourtant: situation et cadre privilégiés, accueil agréable, restauration de qualité, bungalow retenu petit mais confortable - un rapport qualité prix remarquable -"
Paduwat stayed at Bay View Resort on 2008-01-19 and said, "Very pleasant. We much enjoy our stay. All the staff is nice, the cooking very good, the place delightful. We warmly recommend this resort."
Alexandra stayed at Bay View Resort on 2007-12-30 and said, "Hotel was really nice. We had a beach front bungalow and we had a beautiful view. Facilities were great, all you really need and all were clean and tidy. Loved the private beach too. The hotel was in a very quiet location so if you are keen for a party holiday around all the clubs you will have to go to Chewange beach, but its only 5-10 mins away by cab. Had a great holiday. Thanks!"
Katie stayed at Bay View Resort on 2007-06-15 and said, "Great quiet location. Rooms are clean and tidy. Thai food in the resort was also great. Recommend hiring a scooter as it is a long way from everything. LOVED IT!!"
Christina stayed at Bay View Resort on 2007-06-01 and said, "It is very nice. The room is clean, and quiet. But there are two Bay view restore on Lamai Beach, remember to double check the address. Or you can ask Bay View Resort to pick up you."
Evelyn stayed at Bay View Resort on 2007-04-09 and said, "Wir hatten wunderschöne und unvergessliche Tage im Bay View Resort. Der Bungalow war supersauber. Die Angestellten waren sehr sehr freundlich. Weil es so gut war, sind wir 5 Tage später wieder zurückgekommen um unsere letzte Nacht auf der Insel nochmal im Bay View Resort zu verbringen obwohl wir eigentlich in Chaweng schon unser Hotel gebucht hatten. Kurz: Jederzeit gerne wieder. Feel the difference."
Rod stayed at Bay View Resort on 2007-03-17 and said, "We had a wonderful experience at Bay View Resort. It was quiet, the staff were friendly and professional and the food at the resort was excellent. The beach in front of the resort is quiet, with calm water to swim in.There wasn t a masseur at this resort when we were there, however it was very easy to visit a resort down the beach and enjoy massages there.I would definitely recommend this resort. We intend on going back next year.Rod and Michael from London on our honeymoon."
Jaap stayed at Bay View Resort on 2007-03-16 and said, "Overall a nice, quiet location. You have to be fit to climb the hill everytime. The bungalow is very small. And the trees prevented us from seeing a lot of bay, beach or sea. The sea is very undeep, so you depend on high water to swim, the beach and sea have many rocks, so always walk and swim with shoes. For entertainment you have to go far. The restaurant of the Bay view Resort is relatively expensive. The service however is friendly and helpfull. Nearby on the road to Bay View you can have an excellent Thai Massage.Next time we ll choose another accommodation with better accessibility to a nicer beach and more activity in the neighbourhood"
Manfred stayed at Bay View Resort on 2007-03-10 and said, "A nice and pleasant place to spend your holidays. Access to a small beach under coconuttrees and shallow water that most of the times seems to be away so not so good for swimming, but a good pool at hand. Lively places ( Chaweng ) are at reach by taxi. I enjoyed the silence of the hotel place with its always friendly and helpful personell. Cleanliness o. k.."
Anna stayed at Bay View Resort on 2007-03-05 and said, "The Bay View Resort is in a beautiful location - right at the top end of Lamai beach (away from the busy, tecky main strip), with amazing views of the bay and sunset from rooms, restaurant and pool. We stayed in a cheaper bungalow which was on the small, dingy side but very clean and with a lovely balcony. The pool looks deceptively small, but for the size of the resort was perfect, and almost always empty every time we used it. Sunbeds were available for guests to use on the small beach below the resort and also around the pool. Rooms were also cleaned daily and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the Bay View Resort!"
Lucie stayed at Bay View Resort on 2007-01-27 and said, "We have just had a lovely 10 days at the Bay View Resort. Set at the very end of the beach the location is peaceful and very beautiful. The bungalows are positioned with privacy in mind in a very well kept tropical jungle like garden that has an impressive view as its name suggests. We had a sea view with air con which was very cosy and it was great to fall asleep and wake up to the gentle lapping of the waves. It had a feel like a tree house that you dream of as a child. These bungalows are small but really it s all you need. Our friends had a posher beach front bungalow which was much more spacious if you like more room. Because it s set on a hill there are lots of tricky little steps so older people should beware. The beach at the bottom is gorgeous soft sand and the resorts area is very private, separated by boulders from the rest of the long stretch that is also nice to walk down. The staff at Bay View are LOVELY. Apart from the security gaurds they are all female which gives a homely and gentle feminine approach to hospiality and they are so friendly and helpful with everything. Give them a big smile and they will do whatever they can to make sure you have a great stay. Say Hi to Nit from me. She speaks very good English and arranged a jeep for us at a very good price. The dogs Pakbung [Blondie] and Sing are Gorgeous and all part of the family. This is a place to get away from the busy and in some cases tackiness of Chaweng and Lamai but if you want to get a taxi at night for shopping or eating it is very easy to flag them down on the road. Or eat in peace at the resort. I would recommend Bay View Resort to families and couples looking for a quiet and beautiful place to stay but the nearest towns are for the people who enjoy English pubs, burgers and chips and Go Go bars. This is not me so I preferred the solitude of the resort and have now moved up to the more classier area of Boput Fishing Village . However this area is more expensive."
Katherine stayed at Bay View Resort on 2006-12-22 and said, "Lovely resort, great private beach and good (small) pool for relaxing in. Close to the main resort of Lamai beach but also fairly secluded.Bungalows are lovely and staff are very accommodating. Service in the restaurant fairly slow if you are ordering in a large group. Our friends and we really enjoyed our 14 night stay here."
Jutta stayed at Bay View Resort on 2006-11-04 and said, "Very nice resort, wich is in the north of Lamai Beach, quiet, but within a walking distance of about 15 minutes to the center of Lamai. It has an excellent restaurant and a beautiful private beach, that is bayed by small standing stones. There are several different categories of bungalows, we had a small standard bungalow with fan. It was absolutely sufficiant for us.The service and management was good and friendly, we really enjoyed our stay!"
Murray stayed at Bay View Resort on 2006-08-15 and said, "Very good."
Gianluca stayed at Bay View Resort on 2006-08-11 and said, "I come back for the third time at Bay View (koh Samui Lamai Beach)but the service is not good same bafore and someone stolen my Mobile phone."
Damian stayed at Bay View Resort on 2006-07-22 and said, "This is a great place with very clean rooms and a great restaurant. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. They even made the reconfirmation on our flight back."
Dan stayed at Bay View Resort on 2006-03-17 and said, "My wife and I enjoyed our second visit to Bay View Resort. The service was impeccable as usual. The room was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We will return for a 3rd time as soon as we can!!!"
Tanja stayed at Bay View Resort on 2006-01-28 and said, "I recommend this wonderful place: very friendly stuff, brilliant restaurant, nice bungalows, well locatet at the calm end of Lamia Beach, but still near enough for shopping, bars and restaurants."
Oliver stayed at Bay View Resort on 2005-08-14 and said, "- lovely, very quiet place with excellent service & food- we felt very at home and safe- wonderful beachfront bungalows- perfectly romantic walk on the beach to lamai- swimming in the pool was great, especially during sunset. - - the private beach is excellent for sunbathing, but swimming in the sea was more like a bathtub- hope to see them again, soon!"
Gaston stayed at Bay View Resort on 2005-08-05 and said, "We stayed at the sea front bungalow. Very nice, clean, wonderful view. Excelent relation price/service. Very good food and people very nice. The only thing we didn t know is that the beach is not swimmable. It takes aprox. 15 min. walk. Don t go barfoot on the beach with low tide! you will get a lot of small cuts under your feet which are painful a lot of days."
Daniel stayed at Bay View Resort on 2005-07-13 and said, "We travelled with two kids (3/5)and the hotel suited our expectations. Room (Family room) was sufficient, Hotel is quite and well located outside any party zone. Stuff is friendly and helpful (and loved our kids). For families it is a place to recommend. For other only if the want to have a peaceful place. Bars etc are not easy to go to. Beach is disappointing as in north Lamai are no swimming possibilites and pool was then the only alternative (for the kids, for adults to small). Price is o.k. although cheaper places of same standard are availible. No complaints about cleaness, food etc. Don t forget to arrange pick-up service otherwise you are stuck at the airport. All in all we didn t regret to have stayed there and we did not make the attempt to change the hotel (although we stayed some days in Koh Samui)."
Julia stayed at Bay View Resort on 2005-06-23 and said, "The hotel facilities were clean and quite attractive. The staff was incredibly pleasant and very attentive. The only downside was the bay in front of the hotel becomes a mud flat at low tide which meant a 15-20 minute walk to a swimmable beach. The pool was beautiful though."
Aiden stayed at Bay View Resort on 2005-04-15 and said, "Fantastic location for a quite relaxing holiday. Clean, peaceful, and seculded on its own stretch of beach. Friendly and relaxed service that portrays the idyllic surroundings that encompass the Bay View Resort."
Melanie stayed at Bay View Resort on 2005-03-15 and said, "Ein sehr schönes Hotel in traumhafter Lage!Gepflegte Zimmer (Seaview Superior) mit toller Aussicht auf den Privatstrand. Ausserhalb des Trubels, aber Zentrum gut zu erreichen. Klasse Essen, sehr guter Service, nette Leute. Nur Bad entspricht nicht dem Rest der Anlage. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Immer wieder."
Chris stayed at Bay View Resort on 2005-03-14 and said, "This is a wonderful little hotel in a very nice spot on the island. The food is excellent and the staff were very very helpful with anything we needed. The room was nice and had a wonderful view. The bed is a bit hard, but not too bad. The in-house massage is great- my wife got one every day- and very well priced. Internet at the hotel is dial-up and double the price as usual, but there is an ADSL intenert cafe a few steps down the road that is cheap and fast. If you go to Samui, fly thier directly. Taking the bus/ferry from Surat Thani is a 4 hour or more adventure. It s worth it to fly direct. If you want a good suit made, go to Ginos - they have brochures in the lobby. We were very satisfied. The only thing I would reccommend against is renting a motor bike. It is priced at 200baht a day, but if you put even a scratch on it, you will be charged for full repairs. The cost of repairs was 6 times the charge of the rental. They didn t tell us up front there was no insurance, so keep that in mind before renting. We will come back here again for sure. But we would bring children there because of all the steps throughout the resort (it is built on a hill.) The pool is great since it is hard to swim in 2 feet of water in the ocean if you are not there in high tide season. That s all - enjoy your stay!"
Dave stayed at Bay View Resort on 2005-03-09 and said, "A magical setting amidst coconut palm trees with humming birds and song birds aplenty overlooking beautiful Lamai Bay.Wonderful! Minor shortcomings are more than compensated for by the charm of Wolfgangs lovely team. The cute little bay amongst rocks below is delightful. Although the water is clear, it is too shallow for serious swimming in the afternoons but safe for children. The water 15 mins walk towards Lamai is deeper. It is worth paying the extra for a A/C superior room. Hot water for shaving could only be heated with difficulty. Overall the ambiance is wonderful with lots of wildlife around and a most impressive setting."
Anita, stayed at Bay View Resort on 2005-02-21 and said, "Januari 10 we booked this hotell to stay 5 nights (feb 16-21) in a double bungalow whit an extra bed. When we arrived they told us that we couldant have a extra bed in the room because i was to small, so thay wanted me and my husband in one room and our doughter in one. We didnt accept this so we wanted to change hotell. The owner of this hotell wouldent agree to this and he said that we couldn´t have our many back. It felt like we were not welcome to this hotell because no one (exept the two girls in the recieption) make notis about us. There wasnt a pleasent stay that 3 h we were forced to wait there. I think that only the german guest were welcomed and how they looked at us. They looked at us like we were some dangerus ants or something. I dont recomend you to go there. And one last thing. If you want to stay tight whit dogs and cats, you can go there!"
Heidi stayed at Bay View Resort on 2005-02-03 and said, "Accommodation was shocking! Cannot beleive what they were offering for 900Baht/night. The Manager was unfriendly, unhelpful, and unaccommodating. We were shocked that this resort got any decent reviews. We checked into the resort and checked out a couple hours later after finding far superior accommodation for the same price. If you would like to stay in a shabby tin box with unprofessional management then this is the place for you! We lost a substantial amount of money that we did not get back, but anything was better than staying in this sub-standard excuse for accommodation."
Ulrika stayed at Bay View Resort on 2005-01-29 and said, "I had an absolutely marvelous time at Bay View!! Thank you so much Wolfgang and all your staff!! I have recommended your place to all my friends. Maybe next year you ll have more swedish guests than german ;-)"
Rod stayed at Bay View Resort on 2005-01-25 and said, "We choose Bayview because they had all positive reviews. We are pleased to say that Wolfgang and the staff were excellent. We made the right choice and will go back again soon. (one small request, if they read this, put mosquito netting over the windows in the bathroom in bungelow 107)."
Pauline stayed at Bay View Resort on 2005-01-23 and said, "Wow!! Truly a piece of paradise. The action of Lamai beach is only 5 mins ride and Chaweng is 10 mins. The bungalows were spotless and everyone friendly, especially mine host- Wolfgang. The food in restaurant was all very good, service quite slow but hey, you re on holiday. We stayed a week but I could have moved in."
Johan, stayed at Bay View Resort on 2005-01-10 and said, "Great place! The only thing you can complain about is the beach, at low tide it´s no swimming but on the other hand it´s only 10 min with motorbike to Lamai or Chaweng. It´s located nice and quite between this two beaches, the staff is extremly helpful and friendly. The rates are well worth it.Food in restaurant is good and worth it´s price (for a hotel/resort).We were supposed to stay 5 nights bot we stayed 16 nights and the next time on Koh Samui we´ll stay here again."
Craig stayed at Bay View Resort on 2004-11-13 and said, "We had a very enjoyable holiday at Bay View Resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel facilities were of a good standard and clean, with an amazing swimming pool. The resort is located in a nice quiet little bay, perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday. Also it was exceptionally good value for money."
Natalie stayed at Bay View Resort on 2004-11-07 and said, "We had a really beautiful stay at Bay Vies resort. We had all the time the feeling like be at home. The staff was all the time very friendly. Our bungalow was lovely and we will come back in any case."
Dave stayed at Bay View Resort on 2004-11-01 and said, "In spite of rainy season, we had a wonderful time. The staff were very friendly and spoke sufficient english to get our needs met. The accomodation was fine and food very good. We rented a motorbike from the resort for one day at a very low price and had a great time seeing the island on our own. Also hired for one luxurious massage hour - an extra treat. Our only negative comment - rainy season. Definitely not the best time. Still warm and nice when the sun shines but humid and when it rains - it pours."
Kirsch stayed at Bay View Resort on 2004-10-30 and said, "Very friendly service, very friendly and helpfull management and staff. Everything was in order(trfs etc),nice and quiete area for relaxing.Very good kitchen and food. One item:The small beach area should be better cleaned from garbage and glass splitters."
Tamas stayed at Bay View Resort on 2004-10-20 and said, "nice bungalows in a inartifical designed quiet surrounding, good service, really nice view from restaurant, good food,(europian restaurants close if you need)fair prices for crashed motorbikes ;o)....one day i will be back..."
Scott stayed at Bay View Resort on 2004-10-14 and said, "Very nice resort. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The bungalow was well appointed, and the grounds were well kept also. The beach is beautiful, though a bit too rocky and shallow for serious swimming. There is a sparkling pool overlooking the bay, and a massage pavillion right next to the beach so you can listen to the waves while being massaged. The only downside is that it s not very close to nightlife and shops. I highly reccomend staying at the Bay View Resort. It will make you feel like you re one of the rich and famous."
Amber stayed at Bay View Resort on 2004-09-01 and said, "Definately the friendliest place we stayed at during a four weeks holiday. Great staff, good and reliable travel agent, beautiful and clean bungalows. The only drawback was the sea, which wasn t suitable for swimming while we stayed there."
Charles stayed at Bay View Resort on 2004-06-30 and said, "Amazing location. Extremley helpful and courteous staff. I would definitely go back, and I might in 2 weeks!"
N.Van-Hessen stayed at Bay View Resort on 2004-06-26 and said, "It was good to come back and stay with you gays in Bay View,Good home away from home. See you next time!"
Richard stayed at Bay View Resort on 2004-05-18 and said, "The accomdation, friendly staff, food and atmosphere exceeded our expections. We had a great time and enjoyed ourselves. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Can only say a `big thank you` and that we would love to visit again."
Ralph stayed at Bay View Resort on 2004-05-16 and said, "Only great things to say about the place and the staff. Koh Samui is a piece of heven, and I would return to the Bay View in an instant. Not a single bad thing to say. Plan on renting a motor cycle to visit the main swimming areas and attractions. Also available at the Bay View."
Studer stayed at Bay View Resort on 2004-05-12 and said, "Sehr nette Belegschaft, superfeine Bungalows, ruhige Lage und doch nahe an der Lamai Beach, gute Küche und Top-Service"
