Wayne stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2008-07-04 and said, "Great place to stay the staff were friendly and tried very hard to make our stay fun. the only thing I could sayis we were travelling with a young family and they had originally given us upstairs rooms dangerous for todlers They did arrange for us to have downstairs rooms but were not side by side a bit of a nuisance splitting the family up.But overall good experince."
Fiona stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2008-06-28 and said, "Very nice hotel. Rooms clean and spacious, a little dark but you will spend very little time there. The location is perfect, right on the best part of Chaweng beach. Restaurant great and there are others to wander to along the beach, the pool is spotless and small but the ocean is right there on your doorstep. Would highly recommend."
Amanda stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2008-06-12 and said, "This is our 2nd stay at Baan Chaweng and we highly recommend this hotel in Chaweng. It is very central with a beautiful beach out the front, the rooms are very clean with your room made up each day. We stayed in the Superior Room which was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast is wonderful. We have recommended to friends and when we return to beautiful Samui we will stay at Baan Chaweng again."
Rudolf stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2008-05-29 and said, "we had a very pleasent stay at the baan chaweng beach resort & spa . it was our first trip to koh samui and we found it very nice. our hotel was in the middle of chaweng and very easy to go around . the hotel staff where nice and the food at the restaurant was very good and the price was good too. the rooms were clean and nice with nice private balconies .i just have an sugestion for baan chaweng to kindly please change your towels. they are a little old and not soft. you have provided all the good service for your clents so please fix this little thing too !! we will defenetly come back to baan chaweng."
Ms stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2008-05-26 and said, "Very good service, staff are friendly, villa just a min walk to the beach and Chaweng night markets, nice room, very clean.Resort Spa is great, at an affordable price of SGD 60 for 90 mins of full body scrub and aromatheraphy essential oil massage.Highly recommended"
Jeffrey stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2008-05-10 and said, "The hotel and staff were exceptional. Very nice clean rooms, and very acomodating and friendly staff. All of the hotel facilities and services met or exceeded our expectations. With our discounted rate through sawadee.com, it was definitely a great stay."
Gary stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2008-05-01 and said, "on Arrival pool growing Algie and no chlorine present. was remieied after notifing but not really an aaccepable situation as people in swimming. Several pools in good quality resorts simialr so an education process is needed !!!!!Air con not working properly and breakfast was boring and had slipped a lot from first year we had stayed here. Overall a nice resort but overpriced considering the breakfast and general now signs of markings etc on walls in rooms. Im sure a good clean up of sufarces would restore back to as new condition again but thais seemsto build these nice develpments and can maintain gardens and bedding etc but dont seem to keep up mainatance of buildings and interiors"
Richard stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2008-04-19 and said, "Very reasonable cost for good location and facilities."
Nicola stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2008-04-11 and said, "Overall this was a great resort and after reading some of the other reviews I have to say, found some of the complaints were a little nit-picky. We had a great time, the room was well equiped and there was plenty of space for 4 of us even with an extra bed. We stayed in room 302 beach villa which was poolside and although not directly on the beach it was worth paying the extra for in my opinion as you got a great view of the sea when sitting on the terrace, but the other rooms were just as nice set along the pathway. The pool was very nice, great for the kids and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definately return to Baan Chaweng and recommend this resort to friends."
richard stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2008-04-07 and said, "only staying four days on arriaval at samui we travelled around the island for the remainder of our stay, south chaweng beach was by far the best, fine white sand and the sea ideal for children and swimming given you could walk 20 meters before becoming out of depth, hotel was very clean and friendly, facilities in the Bungalows where basic but adaquate, food in the hotel was great far better than most resturants on the main beach road, we chose the hotel for its position to the shopping and night life and whilst the we where bang smack in the thick of things the hotel and grounds are far away as to be a peacefull and tranqual setting, would book again, good value for money. Tip, the airport is privatly owned by Bankok Air and the domestic taxi s are not allowed to pick up, i would suggest you pre book a hotel taxi,"
Dave stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2008-04-05 and said, "We spent nine nights at Baan Chaweng and I cannot thank and praise this hotel enough ! For the money we paid this hotel is fantastic - we had a ground floor superior building room which was clean, very large with a king-size bed. The aircon in the room was fantastic and much appreciated. The large wet-room bathroom was lovely and the shower was really powerful. All of the staff here are so friendly and attentive and that includes the massage girls on the beach. Probably has one of the best bits of beaches and clear sea in Chaweng too and we never had a problem getting sunbeds together (and there were four of us !). If I went back to Samui I would definitely stay here again :-)"
Kristin stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2008-03-18 and said, "This was our second time at Baan Chaweng and we are already looking forward to the third! Very nice place to stay with kids."
Jim stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2008-02-23 and said, "i was a bit disappointed. 3 of us booked a room and spent quite a lot of money thinking we d spoil ourselves on a bit of luxury. the room was very standard and i injured myself on a broken tile in the bathroom. apart from that the resort was very nice."
magnus stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2008-02-14 and said, "Nice hotel with a very freindly staff. The restaurant were also very enjoyable. Large breakfast with a quantity of local fruits and vegetables.Vicinity to both shopping and beach (about 5-10 min. Be observant about what room you get. In our room there was a terrible smell of old smoke. We thought it was a smell of mosquitospray so we did not complaine until we checked out. Then we got the facts from the reception. We were 2 adults and 2 children 12 and 2 years old, no problem. If we go to Chaweng again, we will return to this hotel."
Larissa stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2008-01-02 and said, "Excellent Resort, quite new and modern. Perfect location, central to everything and beachfront. Would stay again!"
Glenda stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-12-26 and said, "Excellent. Some of the friendliest staff and best service on the Island. Rooms are well appointed and always clean. The gardens are beautiful. A lovely, quiet resort however fireworks are now sold on the beach at night which is creating a noise issue for all resorts on Chaweng. Our thanks to all management and staff for another wonderful holiday."
Alex stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-12-22 and said, "This resort is worth every dollar to say the least...I Highly recommend it...Also, its in the middle of all the action if thats you want..."
Liam stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-11-28 and said, "hotel was very good quality for the money breakfast was very good for samuisunbeds were tied together with rope a little cramp staff were all very helpfull the hotel was at the best part of the beach if your staying in the hotel building top floor can be noise at nightwith music from the bars the noise seems to travel to the up stairs bunglow"
Lee stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-11-13 and said, "my fourth stay at Baan Chaweng and as always , fautless. Very comfortable rooms , helpful staff and ideal location just opposite the Black Jack English pub and walking distance to the local discos/dance-houses"
Frederick stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-10-29 and said, "I have stayed at the Baan Chaweng six times over the last four years. The hotel is nice, rooms modern and tidy, breakfast/pool/beach/cleanliness are all very good, well worth staying there BUT... BAAN CHAWENG HAS PROBLEMS. Firstly the Check-In Staff are not a good representation of the quality and friendliness of the Thai people, I have found them to be surly and downright impolite at times. But you only have to deal with them on check-in and check out and the rest of the staff in the hotel are very nice.Secondly, if you book an Upstairs Superior Buildingâ?room be prepared for a bad night sleep. About 150 meters away on the beach is the Ark bar (amongst others) and they have massive sound systems that pump out sound most evenings. They also have an âALL NIGHT BEACH PARTYâ?on a Wednesday, and it is all night until 6-8am with great dance music if you are dancing at the bar but a reverberating loud bass that wont allow you to sleep. The noise comes through the tops of the palm trees and hits these top rooms. Also there are restaurants on the beach selling very loud fireworks that go off at regular intervals until 1am.Also be aware that if you don t like the sound of airplanes then don t book the hotel, Baan Chaweng is directly on the final approach path to the airport and although they are low and fun to watch from the beach, sometimes it feels like the planes are flying into though your window. Also on check out, be aware that the check-out staff will try to charge you for mini-bar items that A. you didn t use and B. werenât in your mini bar at all, i.e.mineral water, also if want a taxi to the airport, they will take you in their van costing you $400 baht when a taxi on the road costs you $200Apart from all of the above, funnily enough I will stay there again, the location and the rooms are excellent."
Jessica stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-10-21 and said, "this hotel was definatly worth the money! great location, lovely surroundings, not at all noisy and very very clean."
Kerstin stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-10-18 and said, "A very beautiful place to stay. In middle of a tropic garden and on the other hand located in the Middle of Chaweng Beach. All discos or pubs in walking distance! Also direct near the beach and friendly staff!"
Mauro stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-10-06 and said, "oct 2007 was my second time in Thailand also second time staing at the Bann Chaweng, in the heart of Chaweng beach and the night life of Samui, with a good service and a very frendly staff Bann Chaweng heve a unique atmosphere. As i said this was my second time there and i m going again for the new years , do you know why? the answer is ot there!"
Sofia stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-10-05 and said, "A wounderful hotell right on the beach. Right in the middle of the heart of Chaweng beach! The staff was greate and helped us when ever we needed help. Greate service and I would recomend this hotell to everyone!"
Richard stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-09-28 and said, "This hotel is in a great location in Chaweng and is right on the beach. The bungalow rooms are good value and the condition of the resort overall is very good. The restaurant is good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definately stay here again."
Søren stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-09-27 and said, "This was our 4th stay here and maybe the last one. It seems we re getting smaller and smaller rooms everytime we come there and the beds are harder and harder (even though I guess many people have slept in them). Their prices are for sure going up, but not the service level. And what s with the showers where not much water is coming out off... However the location is great and gives a big +."
Philip stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-09-27 and said, "The hotel s location is good but don t take a regular room unless you are a deep sleeper. The sound proofing is no good so you can hear all the guests coming and going on both floors all night long. Take a villa room. The hotel s restaurant is as good as any restaurant you will find on the strip."
A stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-09-06 and said, "Fantastic hotel, great location in central Chaweng. All the staff were so friendly, the rooms are a good size and clean. Plenty of sun-loungers although people from other hotels would come and use them but the staff were pretty on to it and would ask them to leave. Breakfast has good, not over the top but enough choices. Food in the restuarant was of good standard and reasonably priced. I have stayed in other hotels in Koh Samui and in my opinion this is a great hotel for the price."
Olga stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-09-03 and said, "very nice hotel, friendly staff, beatifull beach, right in the center of the most populated chawenga beach. We enjoyed our staying in this hotel. once a week they have Thai show with national dancers and musik."
Fiona stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-08-25 and said, "Second year back and not disappointed! Fantastic location in the centre of chaweng but very peaceful at night! Will defintely stay again if i go back to Samui. Plenty of sun loungers and construction noise not even heard."
Surendra stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-08-09 and said, "Centrally located, hotel was nice. I enjoyed my stay and recommend this to others. Good value for money."
Mats stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-08-07 and said, "Definitely excellent value for money and recommended if you want to live in the center of where it all happens in Chaweng. Restaurant is OK too. Personally I d prefer the southern part of the beach because this part is absolutely crowded with people and beach-sales-reps. Staff is OK but could improve their service mind."
Phoebe stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-07-27 and said, "Excellent location and staff were very friendly. Great place to relax and unwind on the beach all day. Clean rooms, great buffet breakfast, good a/c. Will be coming back soon."
Steve stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-07-24 and said, "Stayed in a deluxe villa, nice size room. 2 adults and 1 16 month child. Staff nice and friendly. Only complaint would be that they need to invest in some new bath towels, found some of these were not the best. Located in a great spot, overall would recommend this resort to others, would stay there again."
Hans-Rudolf stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-07-21 and said, "It s ok for Chaweng but Lamai is really much better place to be. Rooms are ok, pool a little bit small and beach a little bit packed in the summer season. But employees are friendly and overall it s a good place on Chanweng beach."
Johan stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-07-01 and said, "We are pleased with the resort. Excellent service. At this time of the year?, do not stay north of this resort due to low water level. Beach Fascilities was great, always free and available sun beds."
Kerin stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-06-29 and said, "This was our 2nd trip to Baan Chaweng Beach resort, and yet again had a fantastic time.Reception staff were great and very helpful, restaurant staff were very friendly. The resort is located on the best part of Chaweng Beach, very close to shopping and main street. The whole resort is wonderderful and managed very well, we will be going back to Baan Chaweng again next year, I would recommend this resort to anyone."
Ăyvind stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-06-23 and said, "We hired two connecting rooms for ourselves and our two kids. Spacious and clean, high standard rooms. Very nice resort, centrally but although quietly located by the beach, 100 m off the main road. Highly recommended for all kinds of visitors, including children families due to the resort s nice pool, good restaurant right on the beach and frindly and helpful staff. Good housekeeping every day. Free beach & pool towels. In fact, we have no critical remarks at all and we would love to make another stay here!"
Knut stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-06-22 and said, "It was a pleasent suprise to live at this hotel. Everybody was kind and the food was good. The rooms were okay and the cleaning very good. The only thing I miss is a bar where you ca relaxe instead of ordreing everything through the waiters"
Elisabeth stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-05-30 and said, "Probably one of the best accomodations on Chaweng beach when you compare price and quality - at least in the low season. Only one thing to complain: the beachfront villa is NOT on the beachfront - it is only in second row beside the pool. Management said they dont care, they just call it beachfront...this was VERY disappointing. So it is not worth the extra money - better take the deluxe bungalow!Breakfast very good, much choice, cook makes fresh eggs/omlettes. Staff in the restaurant friendly, at reception not too much. No problem to get a sunbed whenever you need one, but it could be crowded in high season. Restaurant is good, but nothing special, better ones close by. 5 minutes to shops , very calm in the resort itself. We would recommend it if we would stay on Chaweng again (but we definately prefer Maenam...)"
Volet stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-05-15 and said, "Very great hotel with friendly staff. No noisy and straight on the beach. Well located at the animated center of Chaweng Road & close to everything. I would definitely recommend The Master Tailor, a tailor shop helf by a very nice Thai guy where you will get delivered such beautiful suits or clothes made with a great professionalism. Others tailor shops do not compare to that one.I would definitely recommend the Baan Chaweng Beach Hotel for all travelers. I will come back to it without any hesitation!"
J. stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-05-06 and said, "We really enjoyed our stay at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort. The best thing about this hotel was the staff. They were very friendly and they really made our holiday. Also a restaurant right next to the beach was a superb place to have your breakfast at. Swimming pool could have been much bigger, but gladly the sea was very swimmable ; not absolutely transparent water, but enough good for swimming. The noise of the main street didn t bother at the resort, because of the distance to it (100-200m). Rooms very cleaned properly every day. Bathrooms in some rooms may need a bit renovation in the future. Conclusion: superb staff, a good location, I recommend."
Gary stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-04-22 and said, "Poor recetion on early arrival. Booked for 7 days and with having an early arrival (7am) and early check out (5am) thought it would not have been unreseanable for allowing us to have breakfast on day of arrival , and to for go breakfast on day of departure. Same result for hotel as seven breakfasts for seven days. My Thai wife tried to explain but just too hard for the staff at check in tio understand!!!! they would not be out of pocket! Seems like many in Thailand they just want to milk the Farrang!!Apart from check in good accomodation good room size and good clean pool etc. Location excellent ."
John stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-04-07 and said, "Comfortable clean and good size rooms. Excellent and friendly staff and child friendly!Only problem to note is that the minimumal amount of pool chairs are always taken early with no one sitting in them...how annoying is that? A certain european country s trait i guess..."
Keld stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-03-24 and said, "I stayed at Baan Chaweng beach resort& spa for 14 dayes everything was perfectnice clean rooms cleaning every day good reception and good restaurant the personel was alvays wery kind nice breakfast and the food in the restaurent was fantastic good and clean pool wery good beach i enjoyed my stay wery much and will absolutely come back some daybest Regards Keld Mortensen"
Bruno stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-03-07 and said, "Nice location and good breakfast and meals in the restaurant. Not enought sunbeds when hotel is full. German and Scandinavian pensionist tendet to resev Sunbeds at 6AM in the morning (actually it was not allowed to leaf the Sunbeds more than one hour, but noone frome the stuff cared about it). Some beds where reserved half the day before someone arrived. This was very bothersome becouse it forced also us to stand uo at 7AM in the morning as no sunbed would be left after 7:30-8AM! Staff very indifferent, most of them strange, not very friendly, they tendet to be allways overstuffed and what was the biggest problem: nobody spoak englisch except when you order something out of the menu. Every aditional talk very difficult. For example my friend tried to order some bread to his salad (it wasn´t includet), but was told no bread (in a quite rude way (becouse it wasn´t listet on the menu). No chance to explain we pay extra or so, because they simly don´t understand you. Or, my friend got food poisoning after the breakfast ( whe came to the conlousion that it must have been the youghurt which wasn´t cooled enough. In the evening when went to the farmaci to get something for his stomache i reportet this at the recetion becouse i wantet them to tell that the kitchen. First they laugh! They simply didn´t understand me...after the second attempted they understood but no reaction and indifferent. Also strange: aprox 10 waiters standing around at the restaurant, no work, while eating they stand behind you and can´t wait to take away your plate. Two times i have to tell them tu give me back the plate as i wasn´t finished yet. In my opinium they are in desppred need of a supervisor who teaches them becouse nobody of them has ever realy learned their job. I know thats normal in the normal restourants in Thailand, but i don´t find that ok for such a Hotel. Swimming very limited because of Jetsky-Area left and right of the beach and Rooms very worn out but clean. TV very limited and some programs wherend working the whole two weeks. Overal a so so experians. Next time I would spend defenitly more money an book a more professinal hotel."
Mr.Phil stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-03-03 and said, "excellent place. great breakfast but could do with a microwave as food gets a bit cold after a while in trays. position is right in the middle of everything.rooms are large and well appointed only complaint was hardness of bed, l was ok but wive ended up putting cushion from sofa on mattrass not sure if all rooms same . Nice and quiet resort. Sun beds are a premium in morning so get up early if you want one. any questions happy to reply to anyone at email phil.wendy@optusnet.com.au"
Rachael stayed at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa on 2007-03-01 and said, "Highly recommended. Great value for money and staff very accommodating. The rooms were spacious and pool was beautiful. Location was excellent and right in the heart of Chaweng Beach and a very short stroll and you were in the heart of town. Hotel restaurant was cheap and food was delicious. Although we had checked out, a shower room and towels were provided for us to freshen up before our flight. Will definately stay in this resort again. 5 stars!!!"
