Pattaya has long since changed from a fishing village to an tourist haven and expat hangout. The city's reputation tends toward entertainment for single men and that reputation is somewhat deserved. Yet Pattaya definitely has more. Jomtien Beach and Naklua are a bit more family friendy and have less traffic.
Information for
Pattaya Travel or
Pattaya for Men
Pattaya isn't for everyone, but for those who like what Pattaya has to offer, accommodations are generally cheaper than most tourist destinations. And Pattaya is an easy 2 hours from Bangkok.
Examples of
Pattaya Resorts and Spas include:
Areca Lodge-Pattaya
Ricky stayed at Areca Lodge on 07/12/2006 and said, "The Hotel is average only,From outside looks impressive Wood Finishing with open concept on the Lobby but the rooms are quite standard and blend inside.Nothing to shout about really.Breakfast is fair only. This hotel location is inside a narrow side lane off the main road and covered with Girlie Bars left and right, and difficult to locate. If you like tough drinking & noises all night this is the place. If ever I go again to Pattaya with my family especially with children I will definately not stay here. No Way . I still think Jomtiem beach area is a better deal for holiday,Just take a Taxi or Tuk-Tuk to town they are all link together by inner road no need to get to Sukumvit main road if you need to go there."
Nirvana Boutique Suites-Pattaya
St stayed at Nirvana Boutique Suites on 07/22/2006 and said, "Not as good as previous visits. The same day laundry service didn t materialise and when it did arrive the next day, they overpriced some items - I just paid up as it was causing too much of a fuss to sort it out.
Secondly, the breakfast plates cleared from the room were left on the corridor floor until the next morning - not very clean!
However, overall, the rooms are of a high standard, the food is cheap and of good quality and the pool is a quiet place to relax. Thus, despite one slightly disappointing stay, I would stay highly recommend this hotel to others."
Jomtien Garden Hotel & Resort-Pattaya
K. stayed at Jomtien Garden Hotel & Resort on 07/07/2005 and said, "I stayed two weeks at the Jomtien Garden Hotel and was really pleased with the service and the room. I stayed in a suite room with two bedrooms. It was cleaned daily the location was across the road from Jomptien beach and with access to many bars and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and obliging and the breakfast was very varied. Large selection of Thai food plus omlettes and eggs etc., Will certainly stay there next time I am in Jomptien. "
Pattaya Park Beach Resort-Pattaya
Yolanda stayed at Pattaya Park Beach Resort on 05/14/2006 and said, "The facilities are old, some are not working properly. Considering the low price however, it was understandable. But what I cannot understand is the dirty elevator and the bad smell of the room. The bathtub had stains also. The staff we re friendly but had some difficulty with the English language."
