Risto said, "Very nice hotel, good location on the beach which is nice but outside the hotel area there was really nothing to see (street side), just a couple of local restaurants only. We did try both the restaurants and they had good and tasty food allthoug they didn t look very welcoming. The beach is nice and has some local bars with local food. The hotel has nice cafeteria and the spa did a good pedicure. If you look for peace and quite, this is the place."
Colin said, "Hotel is very good, staff very friendly and food is good. I read earlier reports about Karoke next door, lack of sun beds, etc and none of these concerns are valid today. The only thing I would like at the hotel is to have a nice bar where people can go and relax and chat in the evening. What they have is linked to the restaurants and not ideal to relax. The main concern is the area, there is not much to do there and once you have had your meal in the evening, that s it - I have never had so many early nights. The gardens of the hotel are fabulous and the gardeners must be applauded for such a result. Hotel is great for a short stay or if you are a dedicated sun worshipper. Try and go for an upgrade to a suite, I paid 1500 Baht extra a night and it is really worth it, huge balconey, big sitting room, big bedroom, large bathroom, two TVs, twin AC. Colin Lawrence"
Sally said, "We loved this hotel! The rooms were spacious and clean, the food delicious and the swimming pools were great. We loved the constant breeze from the sea and no mozzies in sight! There is not much to do in surrounding area but I would definitely recommend a day trip to Koh Samet - the most amazing beach and nice beach bars to relax and have a few drinks. I would definitely stay here again."
Ho said, "The resort is approx. 10 mins by car from Ban Pae. Only a few restaurants around but the food/drinks in the hotel are quite pricy. There are activities organized by the hotel every day and free shuttle bus to Ban Pae. Rooms are ok and staffs are friendly (although English is not very good). Spa is quite good and worth to try. A nice break with sun and beaches and not too far from Bangkok but not much to do, in particular at night time."
Shindy said, "the hotel was very pleasant and clean. the rooms are a little on the small side and the rear rooms have only foliage and no view. the best rooms are the inside facing the pools. the staff were really friendly but only speak a little english it was sometimes hard getting ourselves understood. overall a great stay and would stay again."
Francis said, "The staff are very very friendly and efficient. The service is excellent. We have been to this resort many times and will return. It is secluded and a perfect get away if you just want to relax on the beach or by the pool. The breakfast is good. The restaurant food is also good, especially the green mango salad and seafood salad...nice and spicey! The buffet dinner though is really overpriced and not that good."
Mrs said, "This is the third time we have visited this hotel. It is clean and comfortable and in a quiet area which is less touristy than elsewhere so this is why we like it. I would call it a 3.5 star in comparison to European standards. The service for breakfast and meals in the hotel is a bit laid back and no one comes around to ask you if you would like to order lunch or drinks when you are in the pool areas, which could be seen as a disadvantage to some. There are a couple of very good beach bars one for drinks and snacks and one for meals; both are run by the same Thai couple Pol and Gap (she is an excellent cook) a short stroll away. Also, two restaurants on the main road side of the hotel as well, both good and reasonably priced. (Chomtalay and Kims)Overall we will return!"
GASSY said, "The hotel is situated in a pleasant garden, very nice swimming pools, close to the beach. We had a very pleasant stay, evening buffet set every day in a different place in the garden, on the beach, all around the swimming-pool. The staff does a lot so that we have a pleasant stay.Nice place to rest and enjoy the sea (really warm in february)."
Ake said, "Hello! We came back from Thailand today, den 17th of January, and we think Novotel Rim Pae Rayong is a very good hotel with very good service and we will say that we had a very pleasent time at the hotel. We we thougt that it was very good even then."
Mrs said, "This is our second stay at the hotel and we think it is great value for a relaxing holiday. We would not hesitate to go back again."
Fred said, "schones Hotel, dreckiges Meer (Abfaelle), verkehrstechnisch unguenstig, man kommt ohne Mietwagen nur sehr schlecht wegnice hotel, dirty sea (waste), bad connection with public transport, difficult to go away to see other places"
Alichia said, "Lovely hotel, very clean, service is good, food is excellent. Works well for old people and families. Not recommended for young newly married couples. Only 2 negative things, shops are far from the resort, very limitted oppertunities to buy clothes and gifts. No Nightlife or clubs are closeby. Only entertainment is the suppers in the resort."
Mr. said, "Many travellers from Europe with children. I wouldn t call it first class. We payed for a superior room. I don t know if this is superior - it looked like standard to me. Besides this the room was ok. They didn t give us a double bedroom - only twin. As a creative couple we moved the twinbeds together. The view was not seaside. The staff was friendly, the beakfast was outstanding good. Please book with beakfast or pay 300 Baht extra. Pool was large but full of children. The habit of occupying pool chairs with towels in the morning seems to be not exclusivly german. The Hotel is located far off any town. Fortunately there are a few Places to eat next to the Hotel. The Hotel offers tours to the surrounding towns every day. Transport to busstation or next town is free of charge. If this Hotel was full I wouldn t want to stay there. If you spent some more money you can stay really first class at the Rayong Resort Hotel, wich I can really recommend."
Sue said, "If you want a quiet place, this is it - beachfront.... good swimming pool and a choice of restaurants within the hotel itself. There s not much outside hotel except for local restaurants next door and over the road and a few bar/restaurants and shops on the beach... good food and you can sit right on the sand. You can get a local bus outside the hotel and get into Ban Phe or Rayong. We booked deluxe rooms but on arrival were told we could choose from 2 - neither of which looked deluxe (newly renovated but small and with a view of the buildings next door!) They book a lot of tour groups from Scandinavia and apparently these are priority (bad luck about the rest of us!)We insisted they get us a deluxe poolview room and eventually they did - rooms still small but better view.Breakfast buffet is ok - not a big variety.Every night there s a special dinner - usually buffet style served out on the grass by the pool - cheap enough, but many guests go over the road or along the beach. Hotel offers some tours - but our speedboat trip to Samet was cancelled due to not enough guests wanting to go."
Tomm said, "The hotel is truly a great place for relaxing, with an amasing pool area. It is however located somewhat isolated and there is no restaurants or shops around except for a nice beach bar run by a Swede and his firendly staff."
Mats said, "Nice hotel with friendly staff and international atmosphere. The pool area was perfect - with sea view. The location was a little isolated (14 km to village) but there were at least some local restaurants nearby."
Ianhair said, "highly recommended. very quiet location."
Gunilla said, "Nice hotel with exellent service. Good for the children with five swimming pools and play ground. Exellent breakfast buffet. Not very much to do in the environment but nice and quiet."
Walter said, "poor room (old wing)Room-No. 222continious-flow water heater !!!; batter furniture and bath room exquipment!!!; beautiful garden and pool aerea, nicebeach front; VERY friendly staff; nice restaurant if you not join every evening the open buffet."
Vincent said, "Hotel should prepare two keys to meet guest convenience. The sign is not noticeable and clear enough."
SUGITA said, "Good Hotel. Spa is cheep charge, and need resevation.Breakfast many foods, very good."
