Leidenhammer+Svensson said, "This hotel has lost its quality from waht it was before. We have were very pleased but this time we felt that it was the last time. From our poolaccessroom there was a connected door to another room where we could see our nabour walking in the room. Also heard everyting what they said.The cleaning isn´t good anymore. Our daughter had lots of insects in their poolview room. We had a rat behind the tv every night. The breakfast wasn´t the same anymore.Staff have lost their thai hospitality.It was very noisy and can not reach the points it had only a year ago. Quantity more than quality actually....We moved out earlier"

Ulla said, "Nice and clean hotel rooms, but the pool area is little bit to small with few sunbeds and no sun in the afternoon.The Hotel is well located in the more quiet part of Kata Beach, only few minutes walk to the beach and close-to several good restaurants."

Geoffrey said, "This hotel was great. It is very close to the beach, has a lot of activity nearby, and has a clean pool and rooms. I ve been here in SE asia for 2 weeks now, staying at 5 different hotels and Sugar Palm was the best of the 5. It had a bath tub, balcony, new fixtures, and nice staff that spoke english sufficiently. Also it was nice to have free internet and a decent breakfast (although it was the standard here, which one gets sick of). I d definitely stay at SP again, assuming I wanted to go to Kata beach."

Karin said, "This is a hotel that we like very much and been to before. Kata beach has been made more for tourists than last year but still is our favourite. This hotel is a very nice, a bit businesslike with dark wood and strikt but very comfy, both standard and delux (that of course is even better). The breakfast is good, the personal is professional and the pool is nice. The hotel is close to the beach (2min walk)."

irit said, "Whilst the room was nice, the service at this hotel was terrible. The safety deposit box broke and the staff expected tips at every point. Not the usual Thai friendly style and service.The pictures on the Sugar Palm website are pretty misleading. Its entrance requires you to travel through a tacky and noisy strip mall which dumps you to a an open front desk. Due to the number of massage palors leading to the entrance/follier of the hotel, many working girls congregate in front of the inn. The entrance is completely open, allowing anyone to wonder through the multiple levels of the hotel. This hotel is noisy, dirty, loud and the limited amount of English the front desk speaks makes the most simple of request almost impossible. From our exploration, we found many more desirable options in Karon Beach."

Melinda said, "This hotel has a very pretty pool area.The rooms are large. The only problem we encountered was the toilet didn t always work properly. We needed to report it 3 times. It would work for awhile but then the problem would return. Staff was both friendly and helpful. The breakfast was varied enough that I think most travelers would find something they liked. The location of the hotel made it easy to access the beach, other restaurants,shops and bars."

Iris said, "Very good resort. We room was very big and nice.Cleaning was fine.Breakfast was very good.Swimmingpool was ok, but only about 10 sunchairs and the area about pool not very big. Only about 100 m to the beach and 0 m to city center. The resort is very quiet even it was clote city center. Staff were very kindly.We were very satisfied and will be back again next year."

P said, "Poolview rooms are very nice. Good location with easy access to Kata beach which is very nice. The pool is cold and small and almost no sun there? Nice breakfastbuffet with a lot to choose from. They tried to rip us up at the front desk when we wanted to go to Kamala with a taxi. Much cheaper just outside the hotel. Laundryservice was very slow (two days). We can recommend this hotel for the rooms and location."

Good Welcome And was Allocated one Of there Stuido Flats. it Was just one step away From the Front Reception But wqe Felt it was better as we flet as if we were. living in our own flat.. The stuido was well kitted out with flat screen tv and dvd all on wall mounted. had seperate bath and shower lots of room large fridge. and microwave. own baloncy we could not ask for more massage palour was right at our feet below us.. the hotel breakfast was great too. serving both european and local dishes.. also you have free steam room and sanua.. which finish our days.. there was free internet but the only thing was the server didn t work all time we tried and i saw serval guest having same problem... the pool was shaded which was a let down but we spent most of the time on the beach which is only 100mertes away.. but all in all it was great there and i would recomend it.. we had christmas and the new years.and have no regrets i would give it 8 out of 10"

PAUL said, "Clean hotel and pleasant staff.Health center needs updating,the equipment is old and broken.Good location for shopping and bars,beach is not far on foot.The area seems to have attracted a number of Scandinavians not so many British which may suit some people."

Harvie said, "Awesome hotel, very sleek and sexy. Sytlish rooms. We had a pool view room. Great location for Kata Beach, with direct access...any further north and we would be blocked by the monsterous Club Med."

Dara said, "Great Hotel. Excellent value for money. We loved Kata beach and the hotel was only a couple minutes walk away. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and modern. The beds were a bit too hard for my liking but this applied to most places I . I will definately return!"

Tammy said, "Clean and modern. Great value...during the off season! Best mini-bar prices anywhere! Pool is a bit small, and breakfast is a bit boring. But, it is well worth a stay. Dont let the ultra-glitzy, glam, marketing intimidate you. It is straight forward and laid back, in a great area, and close to the beach."

Hoyin said, "Nice modern interior design. The location is also good. 5 minutes walk to the Kata beach, and two minutes to bus station to Phuket Town. The associated spa facilities are very nice (at the time of our stay, there is a promotion for buy one get one free that make the service even better in value). We will definitely go back if we have to stay at Kata beach again"

George said, "Excellent location to everything in Kata. Very nice and helpful staff! Nice pool, furnishings in the room were first-rate, breakfast was pretty good by Asian standards, only downer was that the multi-trainer machine in the exercise room was broken. One of the sweet staff girls was nice enough to open the exercise room for me at 8:00PM. Such a facility should be accessible up through midnight... I would highly recommend the Sugar Palm, and will stay there again at my next opportunity - I m still smiling!"
