Clare said, "would recommend this hotel, Really clean rooms.Staff were very friendly and helpfull. breakfast was free with the room a really good spread. The pool was spotless every evening and morning the pool was cleaned. If you are going to this hotel we would recommend room number 1112 this had direct access to the pool form your balcony. we liked this hotel so much we not clean enough)!! Every morning I had to take shower again because my body was smelly. Alought our rooms were on the 2nd floor, but the balcony was only one view - a concrete wall with a tree (I believe it is better than the G/F). The staffs are OK friendy but the buffet breakfast are limited types to choose. I suggest the similar budget that you have more hotels to choose at the nearby."

Soren said, "We had booked and paid for the best rooms at the hotel. When we arrived we got 2 rooms, both of them without any view or sunlight at all. According to what we could see, these rooms were the lowest category. The reception told us that they always give the best rooms to guests who stay at the hotel for a longer period. This was not acceptable for us, because we had booked and payed for better rooms. After one day with complains from us, they gave us one room which lived up to our expectations. The rest of the family had to stay in a room which we could never recommend to anyone. Besides from the experience with the rooms, the hotel was a really nice and central place to stay. The restaurant was a nice place, where we always enjoyed to eat at. We had almost all our meals here during our stay in Kata Beach."

AG said, "Clean and spacious room at the third floor with a balcony. Well furnished, but the bed was hard. A small, but clean, good bathroom with shower and bathtub. Friendly and professional staff. The restaurant is very popular and reservation is recommended in the evening. The hotel is located by the beachroad with only a couple of minuts walk down to the south end of Kata beach. The sea is clear and the beach is nice, but very, very crowded."

Maria said, "A small hotel not far from the beach in Kata. We just big rooms with absolutely no view. Outside our balcony it was a two-three metres concretewall. The pool was nice but they didn´t have that many sunchairs. The hotels restaurant served really good food. Their pizza was the best we had in Thailand. The hotels staff was really good."

Shahfii said, "Our room was the most corner end of the hotel, but our stay was still a pleasant one. Excellent beautiful, clean room (wished we could stay there longer though). Great and friendly staffs helping us around when needed. Breakfast okay. Accessible to the beach within 3 mins and other amenities like 7-Eleven and other eateries. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a quiet, relaxing stay in the beautiful Kata Beach."

THH said, "Room is big, pretty clean except the balcony of our room faces a wall. Expect mosquitoes in the room and dining area.Staff had difficulty understanding english and reception was not very warm to chinese asian. There was a distinct favourtism towards the Europeans. Location was good, within a very short distance to the beach, much better than patong ."

J said, "The rooms are spacious and quite nice and the hotel location very good. It is only a short walk to the beach and lots of nice restaurants near by. However, we do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. We had lots of trouble during our short stay in the hotel: 1) The safe in the room was not operational at check-in and we had to stay in the room for a couple of hours next morning while it was being fixed. 2) We had to contact the reception several times to get a baby cot (requested already at reservation) delivered to our room and to get sheets for it. 3) One night, we came back from dinner and found a maid in our room checking stuff . Subsequent to this visit, we noticed that a small silk purse had gone missing. We are 100 % sure someone took it from our room while we were at dinner..."

O said, "Overall a very good stay, friendly staff, nice big rooms etc.Wifi internet in room was the reason i chose this hotel. However 2 of 5 evenings internet was down and the business center personel only work daytime so troubleshooting didnt start until next morning. Cost for wifi was 1000 Baht for seven days which is too expensive compared to other hotels. Speed of wifi was very good though (when it worked).A small minus for not providing Star Sports channel."

Sarah said, "Wow what a luxurious room and wonderful, friendly, helpful staff. The hotel made our stay in Phuket a wonderful one, in fact we were hard pressed to actually leave our room to go to the awesome pool at the hotel or the beach for that matter!"

Walter said, "This was our first hotel in Thailand. I was a little skeptical as we drove up in the rain, late at night. It s set far back from the street and the grounds are a little strange. I didn t like that the standing water ponds around the resort were green, but the room was very nice and clean. There was a mini-fridge in the room and they provide you with a couple bottles of water, at least the first day. A fair sized American/Thai breakfast buffet is offered in their streetside restaurant. The staff was nice. The location is close to the beach (walking distance) and close to lots of massage salons where you can get an extremely reasonably priced massage (the least expensive we found in Phuket). I believe we large room. Location is very convenient to beach and restaurants. The main drawback is the very long steep climb from the main street up to the hotel, particularly rough on a hot afternoon after a lot of walking. Minor annoyances were dim light in bathroom and no remotes for TV or A/C."

Terry said, "Kata Poolside impresses for its excellent value for money in low season, its super friendly staff and the quality of the rooms. Variety and quality of the breakfast buffet was appreciated. Location is also a plus - there are good shopping, money exchange and restaurants in this area of southern Kata, the beach is three minutes walk away and the southern end of the beach is the nicest part in my opinion. There are some good buget restaurants with scenic outlooks beachside at the beginning of the southern headland, plus a laid-back bar for a lazy afternoon drink or five."

Jöran said, "Very nice hotel with big rooms too a low cost. It was clean and tidy everywhere. The staff was very kind and helpful in every way. The hotel is situated close to both the beach and to stores and restaurants. The hotelrestaurant had a good breakfast and lots to choose from for lunch and dinner. I absolutely recommend this hotel and will return if possible."

Laurel said, "The hotel was not as good as i expected and read from the previous reviews from others, in fact it is not quite well maintain on their outside areas such as lobby (the pond water was very dirty). Besides, I hate to say that i was not greeted well by the front desk assistant, they do not greet me with smile, and asking whether i am aware that my check out time is tomorrow 12 pm (this has made me felt offended as the way she asked was rude) Besides, the hotel was barely and hardly could be seen from outside as it is hidden and only if u walk down the path. ONE GREAT THING I HATE ABOUT THE HOTEL IS THEIR BREAKFAST HERE IS VERY TERRIBLE, if you are going to stay in this hotel and eat its breakfast, please take note you will be welcome to eat your breakfast with a whole lot bunch of flies!!!~!!!! And the breakfast area is hot, dark and stuffy as well! really bad~! During my stay i even saw and heard there s a guest had misplace his breakfast coupon, and the hotel staff react really badly and scolded the guest saying if no coupon no breakfast for him, i think this is really over reacting already as if he misplace the coupon and hotel is still able to find out whether he is a geniune guest by just checking his details and there is no need for them to treat their guest in such a manner! Moreover, the Kata beach is also not as nice and clean as patong beach, though it is very much more quiet and you would not have much to do here. One thing only good about this hotel is that they have really nice and comfortable room here. So, do stay this hotel if you tend to only stay in the room the whole day."

Kathleen said, "Kata Poolside was a great small resort tucked behind the main street of Kata Beach. The room was large, very clean and the bathroom had both a tub and shower with lots of hot water. Our room overlooked the free form pool which had plenty of space for sunbathing on the deck. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Tours could be booked on-site with a discount. The buffet breakfasts at the Lobster Prawn restaurant were filling with plenty of fresh fruit available and with friendly staff. The 10% dinner discount for guests was a great value at this popular seafood eatery.This resort is a wonderful place for families and seniors like ourselves."

James said, "The nicest place we . the rooms were spotless and very nice, especially the bathrooms. we had a poolside balcony with private access to the pool. i recommend it to anybody. we liked it so much that we wanted to stay longer, but they were booked so we had to move. the location is great and only a few minute walk to the beach. it is also close to many shops and restuarants. you are walking distance to everything so you won t even need to take a taxi."

Ms. said, "Would not chose this hotel again...Pool is nice and rooms big but the ones at ground floor facing a concrete wall is not really that nice.Lots of mosquitos....had to sparay the rooms three times a day. Cleaning ok. trouble with breakfast cupons almost every day....and the breakfast was not that nice. used the roomservice a couple of times and had the worst fish and chips in history...maybe it was made from fish from the lobby pond....when checking out they charged me for a missing glass....that I knew was in the room. And they charged my brother twice for a phonecall, and with the english knowledge of the staff there was nothing else to do but pay....Stay somewhere else..."

Restaurant served great food and we gave up trying to eat elsewhere as we couldn t find anywhere else as good a value. Kata beach is lovely and this hotel is well located. I would stay here again and definitely recommend it as my family had such a good holiday here."

Georges said, "Nice hotel - good value + good location, large, clean rooms, friendly service, helpful travel agent in lobby, just 3 minutes to nice beach (right: the seafood restaurant at the south end of the beach is wonderful!); a couple of shops, travel agents, restaurants, internet cafes around, but fairly quiet. Breakfast was not so great, but okay. We checked several rooms - no good view anywhere, since the hotel is cramped between other complexes. We chose a room with view of the construction site and the lush hills behind it, which I found quite interesting! Rooms on the ground floor look at a wall. Beach towels available without extra costs"

David said, "Favorite hotel on my 3 week Thailand vacation. Large clean beautiful rooms, friendly staff, good inclusive breakfast buffet, right downtown and 5 minutes from the beach, and beautiful swimming pool. Had room near construction next door that was going on 24/7 but noise was bearable. No noise on hotel side furthest from construction. A little loud near the pool but the greatness of this hotel makes up for it."

Lee said, "The room is clean, quiet and nice. Fully equiped with hotel facilities. Bath tub, safe, hair dryer and everything that is necessarily can be found here. The staff are friendly as everytime we walked pass the counter, we will get wished by them. I think this is definitely a strategic location if you are looking for reasonable prices and yet near to beach area. The 7-eleven is just right besides the resort and you can get finger food just infront of 7-eleven during night time if you think you are not full enough after the dinner. Definitely will come back to this resort if there is a chance."

Claudia said, "Really nice hotel! The staff is always smiling and the rooms are big, with balcony, kept clean every day and exactly like the fotos you can see on the site! The beach is beautiful and just a really short walk away. You can even get a beach towel at the reception.The only thing was, that near the hotel is a building site, but we didn t hear any of it at all. Also the breakfast is not really that much. I would definitively stay there again. Maybe one thing: It was my first stay on Phuket and I dind t think it would take almost an hour by taxi to get from the airport to Kata!"

The rooms were very nice and clean. Lanai looked out over the roof but it was quite and nice. The beds were as hard as a rock. The hardest we slept on during our two week stay in Thailand. Eat at the Thai restaurant on the beach(south end and you walk into the restaurant great local spot)Good food-at a low price. We look forwarded to staying here again."

Monika said, "Hotel is very nice. Location is perfect: Right in the middle of Kata, 2 min. to the beach, bus-stop, taxi/tuk-tuk, ATM-maschine, shops, restaurants etc. just around the corner. Even though it is on the main road, you won t hear any noise from there, because the rooms are at the other end of the property. Rooms are very big and clean, big bathroom with separate bathtub and shower, balcony is very private. Ask for second or third floor, because of the wall. Nice pool, you can actually really swim in it. The pool-bar was closed :-(. Just be careful, because the are building a new hotel right next to it and those people start at 7:30 in the morning. We assume, that the noise will increase during the next weeks/months. Staff is very friendly. Internet is quite fast. Breakfast is okay, staff at the restaurant is friendly too. Food at the restaurant is very good. All togehter it was a wonderful vacation and we will definately come back here. Make sure, that you will use the transportation from/to the airport through Sawadee,the driver had a huge sign with our name and was alredy waiting for us. Hotel transportation (they have a little travel agency there) would have been more expansive."

Fam.Lars said, "A very smal and nice hotel, we enjoyed staying here white our two kids. The rooms was great, clean and nice only thing was that we had a wiew over a construction place. The pool was nice It was only sad that the poolbar was closed.Good food in restaurant but slow to breakfast you had to ask after things and they didnt speak very good english."

Mr.David said, "We were very happy with our stay at the Kata Poolside Resort. Rooms were very nicely presented and comfortable. The whole resort looked very beautiful and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent and the restuarant had terrific food. There was only one small problem which was that our room was not ready for us when we arrived at six pm, but they were very appologetic and handled the problem professionally. Also, at the moment they are building on the site beside the resort. This means that from quite early you get a lot of very loud noise. And if you re sitting beside the pool on a windy day you literally get covered in dust, yuck!! I d recommend this place to anyone visiting Kata, (which is a much nicer part of Phuket than Patong), the beautiful beach is very close by and it s very inexpensive for such a quality hotel. But perhaps ask if they ve finished the building next door yet as it was a fairly big annoyance. Everything else was amazing. Get a top floor room if you can, and most nights you ll be able to see a small fireworks display from one of your room s windows!! Highly recommend."

The staff is so friendly and the rooms are beautifully furnished and are more than big - with a private little balcony and a spacious bathroom with shower and bath tub (and always hot water!). Also, the breakfast buffet offers a wide range of food. The location is perfect too being right in the shopping and restaurant area with just a 2 min walk to Kata beach.All in all, I do highly recommend this hotel as it was just perfect to spend our last days in Thailand there."

We walked into Kata town centre (which is too far from the beach - I wouldn t have liked to stay there) most nights we were there and it was a quite nice 15 minute walk. The rooms in the hotel are lovely - great bathrooms and it s all very well presented. The pool is great and the buffet breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly and we would definitely stay here again next time we are in Phuket!"

Very good location in Kata beach, not disturbed by nightlife- but close to all resturants, two minutes from the beach! And of course a nice pool! One recomendation-be sure to book a room on floor two or tree, otherwise the balcony is overlooking a concrete wall(and some vegetation) Big room, both shower and bathtub."
