Its true, breakfast ist not exiting but we were filling our fridge with exotic things from the marked and had a lot of fun with the staff allowing us to even use the kitchen. The pool in the garden is a dream. I felt very at home in the Kata Lucky villas. To the beach its a 10 min. walk along the road. Rent a motorcycle at the hotel and you will enjoy exploring the area."

Max, stayed at Kata Lucky Villa on 2008-03-07 and said, "We stayed here for 15 nights and loved it. Very nice quiet resort and great for families. The resort is only about 3 years old going by the gardens and young palms which have been planted. The grounds are flat with well kept lawns. There are 28 villas, paired together in 14 separate buildings, all joined by a flat winding footpath, laid out in an oval shape around the pool which is in the middle of the area. This is a great hotel for families with children from very young through to older kids as the grounds are neat and flat so you can see the kids if they want to have a walk around the footpath, and for older kids if they want to go in to the beach by themselves. The hotel is situated about a 5 minute brisk walk away from the beach or a 10 minute slow steady walk to the beach. There is only one small hill, hardly a hill more like a slight rise in the road, between the hotel and the beach, the rest of it is flat. The roads in and around this section of Kata are very narrow and there is no footpath so when walking in for meals or beach you have to walk single file and stay close to the edge of the road. Having said this, the traffic is also very aware of pedestrians. The hotel runs a free shuttle to Kata Beach every day between 7.00am and 5.00pm which we used to go in to the beach a couple of times per day. Kata Beach, Kata Noi and also Karon are probably the nicest beaches clear water, good sand and location. There is a 7 Eleven about two minutes walk away from the hotel which was convenient for buying snacks and drinks and the odd Beer Chang or three.The staff at the hotel are very friendly and polite and reception will take very good care of you.The hotel owners are there every day also which I have not seen before at other resorts and they take a very hands on approach and will help with anything you need.One last thing, the shuttle driver, breakfast area attendant and pool attendant named Or, he s the best and if anyone is going to stay there, please say hello from Max.Great place to stay and would definitely stay there again."

douglas stayed at Kata Lucky Villa on 2008-02-01 and said, "Kata lucky villa has fantastic villas and an outstanding garden and pool setting that is very relaxing, including the open massage room adjacent to the pool. This is a first class 4 star setting.The location is ok , a short walk to the better end of Kata, the better shopping and great eating at a good price. However, the service at KLV is woeful, the worst we found in our 3 weeks in Thailand. The staff are generally un-communicative, the breakfast pathetic and generally more like a 1 1/2 star standard. This is almost certainly influenced by few staff that spoke english, so I maybe being unkind.If you are a family with young children this is probably a great venue to stay at, because the villas have a large bedroom and also a large separate room that could accommodate 2-3 small children with extra beds ."

It is also nice for children however; the walk to the beach can be dangerous so; you will probably want to ring for a taxi. The only issue I encountered was upon check out. I was told I could not pay with a credit card and I had to pay cash. This would not have been a problem if I was told ahead of time however; it was an inconvenience I was not prepared for."

Tan stayed at Kata Lucky Villa on 2007-12-05 and said, "It has been a very pleasant stay for my family and I at the the Kata Lucky Villa. The resort is an excellent place for a retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Nestled on a hill slope surrounded by 2 hills, it was so peaceful and serene especially because there are only 28 rooms in the resort. The room is large with a big dining/sitting hall and a spacious verandah. The toilet is also very large although without a bathtub. Our room was facing the pool and that made it even the more convenient for us to have a dip in the pool or saying hi! to other guests. The resort staff were very helpful. I needed a hot water flask and they promptly provided an electric airport! On our last night, I booked transport from the villa to the airport at 11.16 pm and the reception promptly confirmed the booking as I was walking back to my room. The van was early waiting for us at the driveway the next morning. The only hitch is the location. You have to take a 5 minutes walk on the road (sharing the lane with passing vehicles) if you want to make your way to town or the beach. That can be quite dangerous as there is no pedestrian path. Otherwise, the town and the beach is a 10 minute walk. Some may consider this far compared to the other hotels along the main strip. However, you get to know a nice and cheap eating place along the way called JJ restuarant which serves authentic Thai food at very irresistable price. You can be sure I will be back in Kata and to Kata Lucky Villa if I need a quiet retreat."

The pool was far smaller than we expected but once we got over that we had a very pleasant experiance. The rooms are large and right next to the pool. The place grew on us nicely..:o)"

The short 10 minute walk to the beach/shops was not a problem. The only negative was the exhorbitant charges levied for using the in-room telephone. I made less than 30 mins.of National calls and was charged 1400 baht."

Breakfast was good but very limited menu. The pool is nice but smaller than on the pictures on the internet. It’s a long way from the beach. In low season this is a place where you can hide away and enjoy a relaxed holiday. Good value for money."

Wendy stayed at Kata Lucky Villa on 2007-08-11 and said, "New hotel, not so famous in Kata so most of the tuk-tuk driver and travel agent don t know the hotel, quiet difficult to find.Location is so so, about 10 minutes walk to beach but there is 7-11 in about 5 minutes walk distance.But the villa is quiet nice, clean and new. Same as the picture on the web. No so much choice for breakfast, the boiled rice with pork is quiet good."

RICHARD stayed at Kata Lucky Villa on 2007-08-06 and said, "The hotel rooms are very nice and clean, staff very kind and helpful. There were very few people there during my stay, perhaps only 3 or 4 other rooms being occupied during this off-season. Another reason is the location is very far from the beach. I rented a motorcycle at the hotel for 180 baht per day and just took the short drive to the beach. If you have kids it wouldn t be that easy. Breakfast was good but I can imagine it would be inconvenient if there were a lot of people staying there as the space is quite small. The pool is very nice. Overall very satisfied but price could be a little cheaper since so far from the beach."

Mr. stayed at Kata Lucky Villa on 2007-05-15 and said, "Can highly recommend this place, both for families and couples alike, as it fresh(opened in August 2006), clean spacious and in a quiet part of Kata Beach. Best villas seem to be No s. 204-207(double beds) and 218-221(twins), all overlooking the pool area. One small downside is that most of the support staff don t understand basic English so misunderstandings occur when ordering breakfast and what is included free of charge from the frig etc. Take metered taxi from and to airport(THB450)to avoid hassels booking via hotel or agencies. Special thanks to Joy(receptionist)who seem only to happy to help with anything you needed and make our stay enjoyable."

The staff were fantastic and very helpful especially Ken(kendu). The villas were very spacious and cleaned every day. Any requests were delat with immeadiately. My daughter loved the pool area, which was never overcrowded and always safe and clean. The beach was only a 5min walk away. We would recommend Kata Lucky Villa to anyone, and it was so in-expensive, should we visit phuket again this is definately where we would stay."

Petra stayed at Kata Lucky Villa on 2007-02-04 and said, "We recently stayed in KLvilla in Phuket. The accommodation was ok: spacious and relatively new. Good bathroom, with bathtub-shower, two seperate rooms (one sleeping / one with kitchen facilities) and spacious outside deck. Windows were screened. The service however was disappointing, very impersonal and the front desk lady seemed to be very unhappy with her job. The site was located away from the beach, about 10 minutes walk. So we got ourselves a motorbike to drive around. Just dont make use of any of the hotel s services (motorbike rent / airporttransfer/ laundry etc) as they charge ridiculous amounts compared to what is on offer elsewhere in the area.We would recommend the hotel to families with children, not for those looking for a romantic, personal hideaway from the crowds."

David stayed at Kata Lucky Villa on 2006-12-29 and said, "spent seven brilliant nights at kata lucky villa with my girlfriend. hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. they don t speak much english but always tried there best to sort out anything we required. the villas are set in beautiful gardens and the pool is fantastic. our room was huge and also had a living room with fridge and kitchen area. swim up pool bar was great and used everyday. beach is a couple of minutes walk away. for the price we paid we thought we would be getting a semi-decent place to stay but we couldnt have been more wrong. this place is fantastic and i would strongly recommend it to anyone. we haven t got a bad word to say against it.brilliant place and wouldnt hesitate to go back there."

Have a beer at pool-bar, relax in jacuzzi, have massage-for-2 in room, after dinner eat fresh pineapple on veranda and listen to frogs. Great breakfasts, walk down road to main street for dinner at fantastic Thai restaurants, walk down or take Tuk Tuk to Kata and other neighbouring white sandy beaches.This is paraadies for quiet relaxing vacation with beautiful accomodations and great service! Can t wait to go back!"
