Barbara stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2008-07-11 and said, "This resort was dissapointing in every way possible, and we d have walked out if we d been there for more than 3 nights. The fundamentals have been completely forgotten in order to modernise . The beds (and we tried 2 rooms) are rock solid and very uncomfortable. stuffing inside pillows has separated and they are lumpy. We ordered extras and they were the same!Staff informed us they were all the same. The bedding and other linen is so poorly washed and is so sticky that it all feels damp. The resort is way off the beaten track and everywhere is far to walk - even the front gate. Tuk-tuk is 150-200 Baht to town. The closest of 3 pools was closed - we were not notified upon booking, and the main pool was a long walk in the heat. As we had a late check out, they offerd to store luggage. This was left in the lobby from 11am-6pm. Scary! The staff were not like anywhere else we stayed. not happy or friendly. Breakfast was of a very low standard in comparison to other lower rated resorts."
James stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2008-05-16 and said, "Excellent hotel rooms were beautiful and staff very helpfull.Would stay there again any time"
Nils stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2008-04-19 and said, "Sehr luxuriöses Hotel mit tollem Pool in guter Lage. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und vielseitig. Das Zimmer extrem groÃY und sehr sauber."
Madeleine stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2008-02-25 and said, "I loved and hated this place. The room we first got was nice, but we had a construction site outside the door, with a lot of noise. Also, VERY far to the pool and breakfast area. Too far to walk back and forth with a two years old several times a day (Garden Wing room). We asked to change to the other Garden Wing building, and the next day they offered us a much better room in that building. The pool is GREAT. My child LOVED it! The staff was even better, soo service minded. Great with room service, although the food was not that superior. The SPA - lovely! The sense of a big garden with birds and nature is great in an horrible area like Patong...Although, I think the whole resort has a big lack of charm. Maybee it is just us not liking theese kind of resorts, or maybe it has no charm, I don t know.My fourth time in Patong area. Here is what I think:If you like the Patong area, do not stay here! It is too far from everything. You cannot even walk somewhere for lunch (takes to long). You are stuck with the Duangjitts restaurants, no good taste and expensive! If you do not like the hectic Patong Area, do not stay here either, find another beach on phuket! If you do not like the Patong Area but HAVE to stay there from another reason, then this is the place for you. It is great to get back after a while in Patong, to hear the birds sing again...."
danieleel stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2007-09-11 and said, "we booked the standart rooms,it turn out to be very far, and the rooms looks quite poor. great part of the hotel is under constructions, only one pool at use,no fitness room,no massage room, ect . BUT !!! we made an upgrade to the main building, to a family suite, two floors, and it was amaising, all the facilities were very indulging, highly recomended!!!"
Irene stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2007-08-07 and said, "This hotell was one of the best hotels that We visited in Thailand. We stayed there in the low season, so the largest pool was closed, but the other one was just fine. We stayd in a duplex family room, and that was a really nice room with two floors. The picture on internet did not lie!!The hotel was just 2 minutes walk from the beatch. And from the stores. Nice if you want bouth the comfort of a quiet place, and the beatch and nigth life just a walk away..If we go back to Thailand we will stay at this hotel again.!!"
J.H.M. stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2007-07-26 and said, "The Resort is good, i be there no three times in 3 years. the last time I find it not so good as before. first the resort has now other visitors, not so mutch europeans as before but more arab people, the breakfast is less, plactic drink glass for orange and milk and smaller size. The two years before you cann backet egs and omelets on personal way outside , no only cold backing before. The room was clean and good as always no problems. Staff very kindly and good. I will come back, i hope then more european to see."
Garry stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2007-07-14 and said, "hotel is on huge grounds and they are rebuilding the largest pool was lovely hotel room clean, breakfast good, only problem that is the basic rooms are far away from reception and front gate so if you have a problem with walking book room closer to reception. Only 2 min from main strip but nice to go back to hotel away from the noise"
Wayne stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2007-06-22 and said, "Nice, but no one told me the pool will be under construction ! Bit of a dissapointment ! The breakfast was more Korean oreantated than anyting ! Boiled rice with chicken !"
John stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2007-04-17 and said, "Wonderful grounds the smell of jasmine walk way will stay with me for ever happy helful staff food very good in a very under used dinning room and terrace the prices are not any more expensive than the local bars and resturants but the setting and service are way above. The room was on the third floor and the view magnificent over the grounds and hills. The beds do feel alittle damp but we put this down to the humid conditions and air con.Very clean as is the whole resort we would stay here again without hesitation."
Karie stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2007-04-02 and said, "The hotel was very nice, good location and relatively good value. We stayed in the Superior Bungalow, which was very very basic. There were 2 single beds pushed together (not good for a romantic getaway), and average, rundown bathroom (shower only). The pools were lovely, but the water feature was broken and rusted poles were visible. The service at the poolside bar was incredibly slow (over 20 min). The breakfast was great, the omlettes were fantastic and the outdoor setting was really nice.Overall I would recommend it (we extended out stay), but it was only good value because of the facilities, not the room itself. You can get the same basic room for half the price elsewhere, but not the pool etc. Next time I would stay in one of their nicer rooms. If you choose one of the Garden View rooms you are a long way (300 - 400m) from the pool and from the breakfast area"
Geoff stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2007-03-30 and said, "An oasis in the heart of busy Patong, great pools, lovely friendly and helpful staff, huge breakfast, had a fantastic family holiday. The bungalow was adequate but would upgrade to better room next time"
Anna stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2007-02-19 and said, "THE BEST ONE. It was my second stay in Duangjitt, you do not regret!!! Big green territory, big swimingpools, new bungalow and very clean!!!"
Andrea stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2007-02-06 and said, "Although it is an absolutley stunning hotel, for a person of my age I would not reccomend it! nor will i stay there again if i return to phuket. I am 22 years old. The Adverage age of people staying at Duangjitt is between 55-65. Also the staff were extremely lacking!! the Pool staff by the bar have to be some of the most unprofessional people I have ever come accoss. They were dressed like slobs, could not speak a single word of english, and blatently stared at us the entire time we were eating our meal and sitting by the pool! I did not feel comfortable. I was however impressed with the actual hotel itself. the rooms were beatifull (we did have a problem with the hot water which they tried to fix) and the pools georgous. It is an a great location right near the patong merlin resort. If you are older than in your 20 s and want a beautiful place to stay i recommend it but for young people seeking fun... find someplace better."
Magdalena stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2007-02-02 and said, "This is a fantastic resort. This is the second time here. Beautiful pool areas and a delicious breakfast. Big and spacious rooms. We got two rooms with connecting door witch was great. We will come back."
Michelle stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2006-12-29 and said, "We fell in love with this resort at first site, Large resort beautiful gardens, the largest swimming pools ever seen, clean rooms, absolutely fantastic. Great location walk out the huge resort and you are in the middle of the action of patong beach, and yet when you walk back in you feel very secluded in such great gardens and resort. Very well priced including massages, accomodation and pool bar this place is a must to stay in patong beach it is the largest resort in the area. Fantastic, Fantastic do not stay any where else.We will definately be returning and will be telling any one else to stay here. Dont look any further we all loved it!!!!!!"
Susan stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2006-12-27 and said, "I loved every moment spent at Duangjitt Resort. From the delicious buffett breakfast each morning, to lounging around the huge lagoon swimming pool, to the lively New Years Eve Gala Dinner which was held at the resort to welcome in 2007! The fireworks were the best i have ever seen. The location of the resort could not have been better. After many, many hours of shopping in Patong Beach there was no better feeling than walking around the corner to be welcomed back by the tranquil gardens and an an air-condititioned room. The staff should be commended on their high level of service and especially their beautiful welcoming nature. I RATE DUANGJITT RESORT 10 OUT OF 10. It is a MUST when visiting Patong Beach - i will be recommending it to all of my family & friends amd look forward to coming back VERY soon. MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA"
Dr. stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2005-06-05 and said, "Duangitt Hotel and Resort has the most wonderful 3 swimming pools. One is the size of a football field (See the pictures on Sawadee.com, under Phuket hotels, and then scroll down to Duangitt Resort). The Staff are extremely friendly and the food and service is very pleasing. However, the hotel MUST attend to the following, or loose returning customers:1.The room does not have a kettle, so you cannot make coffee for your dear wife in the morning.2. The room does not have any cups....not even a teaspoon.I bought cups, coffee and a kettle.3. The room does not offer any coffee or tee....This is a disgrace for this particular hotel. Please,....mr. owner or manager....rather charge a bit more for the room, but make sure that your guests are totally comfortable. After all, they took the trouble and paid the airline cost to come to your hotel.4. When walking down the main street towards the beach, there was still a broken, but what was a beautiful lounge chair lying in Duangitts property exactly where the Tsunami left it broken. Please remove it. I thought the next memorabilia was to be a hand or a skull sticking out of the ground. Mr. Manager, dont you realise that although your people suffered the most from the Tsunami, we as visitors decided to come specifically in order to spend our cash, as this is your lifeblood. Neither you, nor us need this type of reminder of such a horrific event, particularly as our spending of money is accompanied with what is supposed to be holiday and relaxation. So, clean up your garden where the remains of the Tsunami is still scattered. As for our experience, well..... apart from the (seemingly european) men who you allow to expoit your beautiful ladies, and which I pray you will put an end to, your town council should employ someone to clean the beach. There are plenty of plastic bottles and other normal rubbish which, if left as is, will detract visitors. This is something you can do something about. You can also enclose the few remaining Buildings on the beach front which were partly demolished by the tragedy. There is a place for a proper Tsunami Memorial, but unfinished cleanup is something that can be done.Overall, I believe our visit was premature in terms of having a nice holiday, but as for spending my cash there, I feel it was my duty As for the gardens, they are magnificant. The bird song is out of this world."
Mr. stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2005-04-17 and said, "when we arrived my sister was in a wheel chair, the employees of this hotel did an exceptional job of helping us,you may be assured we are very thankful and will definitly stay there on our next visit..thank the management and staff for their help"
Mr. stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2004-11-24 and said, "The hotel is very coveniently located for the nightlife of Patong. The bungalow rooms are quite basic but clean and tidy. The swimming pool is undoubtably the resorts best feature and is one of the biggest freeform pools you will ever see. All in all good value especially with the breakfast thrown in"
Mr. stayed at Duangjitt Resort on 2004-07-07 and said, "A beautiful Resort near by Patong. We had a relaxing stay at the hotel. The room was clean. The service was very good. The poolarea was very big. A good place to be, especially when you are travelling with children. A special thanks to Pawn and Jojo in the restaurant/bar who made our stay unforgetible. We will be back, that for sure!!!Tom Samuelsen w/family, from Norway"
