Jia said, "nice hotel, new & clean, lovely decoration, friendly staff. good location near kata beach about 400 or 500 meters, quiet & beautiful surroundings. just one problem is that the swimming pool seems not been included to the hotel. if u wanted to go there, you have to contact the front desk and they will drive you to another place, although it s not far away from the hotel. a little bit unconvenient. but if you only spent time on the beach and needed relax urself, all i wanna do is to recommend this cute hotel."
XUE said, "Good hotel and good service!"
Tyson said, "This was our favorite hotel in Thailand and we were in Thailand for almost 3 months. Beautiful rooms, cheap internet, staff were incredibly friendly and everything was so neat and clean. About 5 minute walk to the beach. Would for sure stay again and recommend!"
Patrick said, "This is an excellent hotel we were a group of 9 people and all are impressed by the high level of service of the staff and the high quality of the premises."
Gerard said, "- Disapointed by the staff, two out 5 friendly and helpfull - few of my belonging disapeared : electric shavers, electric toothbrush, 2 CDs. There is a a safe but most of the time, I only put valuable things, next time I will be more carefull. - Realy noisy on the outside because of dogs fighting in the middle of the nights and no one seemed to care. - The beach is kind of disapointed, among the lowest quality in the area and a better one is 15 mn walk. The restaurants around are dispointed either, touristic area with no way to escape in fact. Shall I mention the girl bars few meters away.- Transfer Patong at 400 baht, Airport transfer for 1200 baht : transportation very expensive. I would recommend another hotel where bus service would be provided for free : you keep the option open.- Funny thing is the swimming pool is not free access: let s put it this way : You are in the beach, take the sun for few hours an you decide to come back at the hotel to swim a bit in clear water. You need to come back from the beach, ask the reception to go to the swimming pool and somebody will drive you to the swimng pool which is a 5 meters long pool and 1 meter deep pool. It took me 20 mn to do that while the pool is only 5 mn away from the beach - this is a pure waste of time. - No lift either and no air cond in the corridor. - Bathroom is small and slippery as - Food decent but expensive like the mini bar : 4 times more than a normal supermarket - there is a carrefour on Patong but you will eed by cab bath 800 for a return way. - Most importantly, room for rent available on the same street of the hotel for 1/2 the price : painfull discovery. The area is seeing more supply and I would recommend to check thoe options if you want to stay in this area rather than booking in advance this hotel. I am sure you can find some on boutique beach area while surfing on google. - One last thing, fyou expect to catch an attraction, keep it mnd you are 30 mn away from the closest port to reach the nice island (James Bond, Phi Phi) : very early start and extra cost :-) - All in all : disapointed and no real value in that. It might be good for tourists discovering Asia but after 2 months accross Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, I rank this hotel low in terms of value for money. Heard better feedback from friends going on desert island for few days."
Garth said, "Fantastic boutique hotel...funky decor, great breakfast and lovely staff. A 5 min walk to the beach which is not at all picturesque - a big brown slimy drainpipe with stagnant brown water. Once you get to the beach it is lovely. There is a wonderful restaurant on the rocks at the end of the beach."
Ulf said, "A wonderfull hotell with helpfull staff, we can not, but recomend the hotell to athers. Best hotell so far in Thailand for us. Fam. Nyman"
ELENA said, "I happened to stay at this hotel by chance, cause the one i wanted was full, but really happy about it. It s very new, beds r extremely comfortable, service s good, staff s friendly. Beach is only 10 min walk from the hotel, so it s very convenient. Many restaurants nearby or 15 min walk, there s a great massage room not far from the hotel (with orange painted walls, near Sawadee hotel, 15 min walk), i tried manicure the ones nearby the hotel, but they did it really bad, though prices r the same. I liked Kata beach much more than Karon, it s more developed, u ll find everything u need. About the hotel again - it s new, so not all the drives know the address, so take the tel number with you or tell to drive u to the Beach Center (ClubMed Hotel is nearby). Don t take the taxi that airport offices offer, last time i took it the driver was nervous and rude, when u step outside the airport u can get a taxi easily and pay the same or even less."
John said, "Very nice hotel. The location is 5-10 min walk from the beach, not a very nice walk but the hotel is worth it. We had a Freshly Superior room and it was small but very nice and clean.Friendly staff and very nice breakfast. This was most hotel for the money on our trip and we will come back."
Seet said, "The hotel is located in a not so accessible area and surrounding has nothing except construction going on. Was alittle disappointed when i reached the hotel and i am made to wait 45mins just to check in. However it was conpensated when i saw the interior of the room, it was very refreshing and clean. Overall the service is good, my flight was late night and after late check out at 2pm, they gave me room to take bath before going to airport upon request."
SEMINA said, "We was happy to book The Beach Boutique House via Asiahotels.ru site. This is rather quite good hotel. It has clean, cosy and spacious rooms. Color walls and white furniture are create joyful mood and give sensation of freshness. There was all necessary things in our room: soap-shampoos-tooth brush - towels - dressing gownes - slippers - hair drier, minibar. Very attentive and affable personnel. Excellent breakfasts - i liked it very much. It was pleasant to sit in a hall, to rock in pendant armchairs. Negative side unfortunately tooked place too, namely: not comfortable way up to a beach - it is far and runs by the brisk streets or along the fetid smell small river - rather fragrant . The hotel doesn t have territory, but it s not so much necessary. At arrival we have occupied room with one bed though we specially stipulated 2 beds. In reply to our request to change room, we have informed that there are only 3 rooms with 2 beds in all hotel and they are borrowed - will be tomorrow . Tomorrow , the truth, stuff have changed our room. But if we were less persevering - it, most likely, wouldn t happen :) At departure there was unpleasant surprise - an bill for minibar which we didn t use. Fortunately we were at excursion in the day which there was a bill for, so the question was resolved. The resume: hotel quite good, all problems are solved, the personnel is friendly."
Tan said, "Well, due to the hotel is new, the room is very clean and cosy but the water pressure is a problem. On the first day we arrive, the water pressue is so small that I use half hour to finish my bath. The worst thing is that the next day morning, there is no water at all then there is sound inside the water pipe when I on the tap. After the tap was turn on for few seconds, there is yellowish water dripping down. We have made many complaints to the hotel but they cannot do anything. Luckily after few hours, the water pressure is getting better. The hotel staff don t understand English at all, we have problems trying to explain what we want or complain. After all, this hotel is not too bad if you are looking for cheap and clean hotel.I think they need time to improve as they are very new."
Marcus said, "I was fortunate to book this new hotel for 1950 Bahts a night near Kata Beach less than 24 hours before I arrived Phuket while most other similar hotels were fully booked in Sawadee Website during this high season. I like this hotel because it is not on a hill and about a 10 minute walk to the busy beach. However, the direct path is an alley with a view of many infested insects in or near still water. There are no bathrooms at the beach or other beaches that I have heard. You have to pay for beach chairs you rent at this and Karon Beach, which the latter I like better because it seems to be cleaner and more comfortable just to sit there and watch the beach in the morning. Club Med, an ellegant 5-star hotel just across the street from the beach is within walking distance. Most taxi drivers do not know where the Beach Boutique House is. It is good to tell the driver that it is located in the new Beach Center before Club Med (just turn left at the Grill and Hotel on the left hand side before reaching Club Med). There are bars, hotels and restaurants within walking distances. Taxi is expensive for 400 Bahts to Patong Beach, and 800 Baht to the airport. Please note that the organized taxi from the airport only charges less than 500 Bahts to this hotel. After sunset you may have to settle for a Tuk-tuk when a taxi may not be available. Taxi is more comfortable because it has air condition and charges are the same as tuk-tuk. I wanted to stay at Karon Beach before booking because it is more centrally located but I could not find a hotel there during this busy season. But if we did stay at Karon, probably we would not have enjoyed this new and quiet place like Beach Boutique House. I was told by a travel agent that 40% occupancy are by returnees. The exterior of the hotel is neat with decorative lighting and breakfast has some variable items but you have to chase away flies especially if you don t go there when it first opens in the morning. Sometimes the Internet does not work and the front desk did not direct me to go another place but I have found it nearby anyway where a young lady speaks good English and helps me to print in color for lesser charge. She told me stories about the Tsunami that had occurred on December 26, 2004 when the whole area was covered by a 2-meterred deep sea water. The hotel across the narrow street has a swimming pool but no Internet, but I was told I could not use the pool there but can use one down the road when it opens in the future. The constuctions just next door is not too noisy and we enjoy the scenery of mountain views especially in the morning while the construction is at its infancy. It is expected to have more hotels and businesses and less quietness in the near future as it is now at this new beach center. Inside the small room is great and clean -- everything being brand new but with limited cabinet space. The overhead fan does not work but we were given a chance to move to another room. But no matter because the air condition is more than adequate. The bed is big enough for two people and comforatble. The staff is friendly as usual in Thailand. The Fantaxy Show at Kamela Beach is OK with too-numerous-to-count spectators and long lines. No cameras are allowed in the showroom and you need to check in your cameras before you go inside. It is always good to have a Thai speaking companion. Phi Phi Island is nice for swimming but we did not see bright color corals while snorkeling. Racha Island is better than Coral Island as the businesses on the latter seem deserted as one German tourist told me that the cooks there played soccer instead of cooking at peak lunch hours. Speed boat to the two islands gave us strong pounding motion therefore eat less breakfast if you have a sensitive stomach. Cheaper snorkling tours charge extra for using the fins and their constant checking for damages of the masks provide distraction and spoil the fun. I think we paid about 1500 Bahts per person for this tour. Be prepared to walk 20 minutes each way across the island to go to lunch. Sand can get into your slippers. To go there we departed from the dirty water at Chalong Bay located at the East side of Phuket Island. We had to step into the dirty bay water befor boarding the speed boat. I don t want to go there again. I missed the Phang Nga tour as my young travelling coompanion needed a rest because of lack of sleep at busy schedule. Pisona is the only tour company I have found to offer late pick up to go to Phi Phi Island at your hotel around 11:00 AM to accomodate late arrivals at Phuket. Phuket can break your pocket book. Bangla Road looks like day and night literally. The strong air conditioned show upstairs really is not worth the entry fee because it only gives cheap sexy scenes with too many artifical bodies. All and all it is just great. Enjoy your stay at Phuket as we certainly have."
Pernilla said, "Very good hotel! Like an oasis in an otherwise dirty neighbourhood. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean and the hotel complex was clean. After staying at 5 other hotels in Thailand on the same vacation, I can say that this was definitely the best! One complaint: The wake up call came 1 hour to late..."
