MAS stayed at Baan Mai Cottages & Restaurant on 2008-02-02 and said, "Friendly welcome, great service, wonderful garden, very quite place, delicious food, nice swimming pool...only direct beach is a little dissapointing and boat transfer could be improved in order not to get wet."

Walter stayed at Baan Mai Cottages & Restaurant on 2007-09-18 and said, "This place was an amazing little find! You should definitely visit if you want a little taste of paradise. There is a pool, but the cottages are ocean front. They were recently under new management and we were the first visitors (and only guests for two days) of the season! We couldn t afford to pay for something like this in the states. The food was fabulous and everyone was helpful. Some of the staff do not speak a lot of English, but they are still friendly and will point you in the right direction if you have a question about something. The hospitality was amazing and the sunsets beautiful! As soon as we arrived we were welcomed with a foot wash and fruit drink. The only bizarre part was that you have to take a little motor boat from a pier on Phuket to the resort. Be prepared to get your feet wet and enjoy paradise. This was our favorite resort in Thailand!"

Loved the bathroom, once we got used to it, but didn’t like the room so much �dark, with very dim lighting. Unbelievably hard mattress!The beach was disappointing, sharp coral with rocks below the water line, making it unsafe for swimming. Liked the pool area. The food was excellent, international or authentic Thai �which could be hot or toned down if requested.Not a sophisticated resort �but highly recommended for relaxing quiet holiday with good food and friendly staff."

Complete peace, setting wonderful, staff and service absolutely excellent and the travel arrangements from Phuket airport worked perfectly. Trip to Coral Island for snorkelling arranged by the staff without any fuss and highly recommended.Chalets were nice and clean but (only criticism) too small to be very comfortable for more than a couple of days - should be enlarged to give more comfort as the beds and general space are cramped. Food in the restaurant was excellent, with definite Thai/French flavour. Would recommend Baan Mai strongly for short break and will (hopefully) return"

Located right on the beach with hammocks waiting for you. Nice and helpfull staff. Free longtail boat service is provided to pier on main island and several beaches around. Meals are great but breakfast is not very varied."

The Bungalows are set it a well maintained little park. The only thing which is a pitty is , that you can not swim in the sea as there is now beach. You are forced to go by longtailboat to other islands. The Manager is very nice and he knows how to make people happy!!His employees are very frendly and always with a smile in the face...
