Hotel is very old and smelly .Bath rooms do not have tub so when one takes shower it become a swamp. Shower spout is always of the hook and it takes few minutes to get hot water if you have rooms on upper floors. The reception people are freindly. I do not recommand this hotel . I recommand Sawsadee Sea view Hotel at sio 10 but get Superior room."

Our room on the 12th floor was very good - panoramic view of the sea, nice and quiet despite the location amidst bars at neighboring areas.Breakfast was also good, not like the usual breakfast in budget hotels. Food selection was very nice. Should you wish to eat at their hotel restaurant, price is so reasonable and taste is really good. The best thing in this hotel is that it is only a few steps away from the beach-perfect location, I would say."

Keith stayed at Sunshine Hotel & Residences on 2008-05-14 and said, "upon arrival i kindly wrote my name on a piece of paper and told the girl i had a reservation. she soon returned to tell me i had no reservation at which time i replied someone took my money by computer so please try again !! she returned the second time with apologies and a smile and rectified her mistake..that was at the same time some drunk german man was being escorted out of the building but not before he caused immense trouble at the check in counter...all in all the hotel staff was nice, the hotel was clean, and the location was adequate...the price was good but again when booking for another hotel i was told that it was sold out and this was my alternative...i will stay here again given the chance.."

The Hotel staff go out of their way to ensure one has a comfortable stay and is very accomodating. The Hotel Cafe is also very good, with a wide selection of food to choose from; I highly recommend the Thai Dishes!"

John stayed at Sunshine Hotel & Residences on 2008-04-26 and said, "I stayed in the Sunshine Hotel and found it to be very acceptable, My room was possibly a little tired and could have done with freshening up a little but all in all it was acceptable for the Rate paid (Don t be put of by this comment as there are newer area s within this Hotel that are much better - I was just unlucky with my booking).In room facilities were acceptable, Service staff were very good and bedding was always clean and well turned down. Breakfast was good with a varied choice btween usual Western food and some Thai Dishes. Pool was clean and a nice place to relax in the morning sunshine. If you are coming to Pattaya fot the fun and atmosphere then Soi 7 & 8 are for you, can be a little noisy during the early hours but benifits are a wonderful night life right on your doorstep, Hotel has good policy for non regestered guests so no problems here...... I would stay again and I would have no problems recomending the hotel to anyone who wants to enjoy Pattaya and its ambience."

Air-conditioning was very loud, but many-standardizes only in my room, because already one older appliance, first didn t chill, however, personnel immediately was brought again in Fuktion from the hotel.Really wonderfully, the breakfast-buffet, American, was Thai and European breakfast, freely to the selection. Apart fom rooms, always is the breakfast and meal in this hotel a visit worth."

SHEREKAR stayed at Sunshine Hotel & Residences on 2008-03-12 and said, "Very rude staff, when I checked n ,they gave us a smelly sticky room intially at ground floor which they agreed to change after complaining . got another room , faced problem with AC..but attended by staff after complaining .. breakfast was ok. while checking out , they forced us to pay 500bht for a broken table glass which was broken by their own housekeeping person and even the glass was not worth more than 50bht ..very bad experince.... there are other good hotels nearby ....not recommended at all. never stay with your family and kids ...trust me ..."

Just up the road from the beach and the place to catch the boats to Rai Ley.The people at the hotel travel desk were wonderful. We booked 2 day trips with them and they made sure we caught the right bus back to Samui, (On the way we were stuck on a cross country bus that took hours)Will stay here again on our next trip to Krabi."

Room was large, clean and comfortable, service was excellent and the staff friendly. Didn t use the pool but it looked OK, breakfast buffet was good and the adjoining All Day Cafe had good food at reasonable prices. Hotel is also visitor friendly. Only problem was the noise from the construction site next door which went late into the night but can t blame the hotel for that. Would definitely stay again."

At the moment (Feb. 15) and for the foreseeable future, the place is surrounded by massive building sites on two sides, starting bright and early. There s a single lift, which ain t enough. Of the two pools, one is small and old, the other so small staff told me not to bother even to look at it; I did anyway, and it s a bathtub. Overpriced and strictly for lovers of Soi 8 (of whom there are many, heaven knows why)."

The room smelt of damp for two days, and there s a single lift, which is not enough. One of the two pools is small, old and gloomy, the other so tiny that staff told me not even to look at it. At the moment, and for the foreseeable future, the hotel is surrounded on two sides by massive building sites, where work starts bright and early. That said, staff really are very friendly, and beds are reasonably firm. The place would be perfectly fine as somewhere to doss (with earplugs) for under 1,000 baht, but at 1,600 for the standard sea view room is severely overpriced. Strictly for lovers of Soi 8."
