Mike stayed at Mark-Land & Spa on 2007-11-08 and said, "This hotel has great views across Pattaya Bay and is well located. This hotel must be 20 years old now and the rooms are a bit old, run down & tatty with the bathroom in a bad state. The pool is good but the breakfast could be improved. The reception staff are not in the least helful. There are many many better places to stay for the price paid."
Ernando stayed at Mark-Land & Spa on 2007-10-23 and said, "We stay at Mark Land on Oct. 2007 for 4 days. The hotel is ok for the price. Nice from outside and a little bit old, may be 20-25 years. The room was big and clean and nice ocean view. The bathroom is not compatible with the room but everything was working fine. There is a refrigerator with drinks and other stuff, a big wardrobe. Sheets clean and comfortable bed. No internet but you can find a internet café very close to the hotel.Tip: There is a construction on left side and rooms at that side there is a lot noise after 7 AM. Also the view is not good. When book, ask a room on the other side. We stayed a first night and then asked to move to other side. The safe is on front desk, is not convenient but worked well and it appears be very safety. The breakfast was a plus with a lot diversified food, including a lunch food, as rice, salads, thai food, etc. It is served on the 27th floor and the view is wonderful. We just visit the swimming pool and looked good, very clean. The spa in front of hotel also was a plus.Tip: When ordering transportation to Bangkok airport, the reception offer a private car that actually is a real private car, not from a tourism company. I recommend not use this system because showed up a old car without air conditioned. We complained and the car was replaced. I suggest use a van from a tourism agency.Tip about the beach: The beach was fine but if you walk toward the Dusit Resort at the end on Pattaya beach, walk beside a rock wall, after that point the beach is quite and not too many people there.Tip about food: If you go a little farther from the main avenues you can find nice restaurants for the half price."
Lee stayed at Mark-Land & Spa on 2007-08-10 and said, "Nice hotel. Good location. Friendly staffs. Worth the money we paid. Good facilities. The buffet was very nice."
Anonymous stayed at Mark-Land & Spa on 2007-03-22 and said, "I can recommend this hotel to others, provided that you can accept the downsides. What I liked: spacious rooms, amazing views, balcony, free breakfast, and good facilities (pool, ping pong, fitness). The location will be good for many tourists: close to the beach and Big-C. The more interesting areas are within easy reach but not in your face. What I didn t like: the room was a little worn out and had several minor problems, there was no wireless internet in the hotel, and the breakfast buffet was mediocre quality (although the view was awesome). Overall, a good value at the price I paid."
Ng stayed at Mark-Land & Spa on 2006-12-24 and said, "The hotel location is ideal. Just steps away from the beach front. The safe deposit box is free is an added service that not very common on mid-range hotel in Thailand. Room is spacious. The is a 24-hour construction work in progress directly facing the front entrance. Make sure that you have a room facing the other side of the hotel."
Mr.Wayne stayed at Mark-Land & Spa on 2005-12-21 and said, "My first time staying here, and my last. Staff is fine, they doo a good job. Either the owners or management has a large portion of this hotel as condos, so only part of this is the hotel. Rooms were OK, but please turn the hot water up from warm. I believe this was set low due to the condo effect. We attended the New Years party which we HAD to pay for whether we wanted to or not. I d have had more fun elsewhere, even had to pay for all drinks, etc after the 2000BT to attend. Not any sort of good value. You had to ask (and wait a day or 2) before you could dial a local call from the room. So if you need to conduct internet business, not a place for you. I was here because the Regent Marina was torn down. It was a much better hotel, I ll stay elsewhere after this."
Terry stayed at Mark-Land & Spa on 2005-11-05 and said, "Yet another very successful weekend stay at the Markland. This Hotel is situated on Beach Road in Pattaya North and yet is only a 5 baht bus ride down to the action and entertainments areas such as the world famous Walking Street and Boyz Town Hotel rooms are a good size, well looked after, comfortable with excellent facilities such as cable TV,mini bar (reasonable prices)swimming pool and great views from the breakfast/dining room on the 27th floor.Staff are very friendly and this will continue to be our first choice when staying in Pattaya."
Terry stayed at Mark-Land & Spa on 2005-11-05 and said, "Another excellent stay at the Markland.Unfortunately only had time for a 3 day stopover but enjoyed all the facilities as usual and look forward to our next visit in 2006."
Sandhya stayed at Mark-Land & Spa on 2005-11-02 and said, "very good location for families. It is in north pattaya and far from the sleaze of south pattaya.A few metres from the beach. The rooms were well appointed though the bathrooms could do with a makeover.every room has a sea facing balcony,so you can sip your drinks facing the sea at sunset!!The swimming pool is very well placed. The breakfast was good and filling and if you are still peckish you can order from their room service which is good too.If the kids need chocolates orcup noodles there is a family mart steps away from the hotel.all in all a trip worth remembering."
Richard stayed at Mark-Land & Spa on 2005-10-15 and said, "Hotel is located at the northern end of the beach about 1.5km from the activity-15Baht taxi. The Big C is good for shoping and food 200mtr. The rooms are a little tired but still good for the money, the singers in the roof resturant at night are great, staff are curtious and helpful, buy a phone card and use your mobile to ring home 009 in front of number 7Baht=1 minviews are the best above 10th floor, but no room safe.overall reasonable value"
Ralph stayed at Mark-Land & Spa on 2005-06-03 and said, "The views from the rooms are simply stunning! The rooms are huge and the whole place has a BIG feel about it. The breakfast on the 27th floor was good and the vista was to die for, especially if you jumped! The pool area was strange - deserted with a million do s and don ts. Maybe that s why it was deserted. Towels in the room were rubbish, full of holes. All in all, well worth it for the view from the balcony and the early morning cups of tea that make it even better."
John stayed at Mark-Land & Spa on 2005-03-17 and said, "Have stayed here many times - great views from the rooms as well as from the 27th floor for dinner - rooms need some work and are a little shabby - need new carpets and minor bathrom fixes but overall a good value for the money"
Lim stayed at Mark-Land & Spa on 2004-12-24 and said, "Hotel is good. The front desk staff are very helpful. However, would like to comment that your housekeeping staff can be more willing to help and should put on smiles. The morning breakfast have more variety."
John stayed at Mark-Land & Spa on 2004-03-04 and said, "good location on soi 2 - restaurant on the top floor has the best views of pattaya - rooms showing some age but generally well maintained - guest friendly and a good value for the price"
