The desk clerk was cursory and the room, though large, was quite primitive - dark, not very clean, inconsequential door locks. It looked out on the noisy street - noisy even in the afternoon, and I could hear too much of what was happening in nearby rooms. The hotel was clear that having in-room safes was not a wise idea. Although other staff were friendly, I could not imagine having a restful visit: I checked out the same afternoon I checked in and moved to a much pricier, but known hotel - the Marriott."

Everyone remembered me and treated me with respect during my stay. The maids sometimes stayed late to clean my room after I woke up late and they had no problems. I would recommend anyone to stay here during their next visit. One thing that I didn t like was that I couldn t control the A/C in the room it was like the V2O bar. LOL!! It was cold but I just opened the window during the night and it was perfect in there."

As I spent very little time inside the hotel room, the rather basic facilities were quite adequate. The noise didn t bother me because they gave me a room on the quiet side. It is not family oriented but if you are planning to end your evenings on Walking Street, this could be the place for you."

Paintwork was bad. However staff were efficient and friendly. None of the deluxe room was available so I had to put up with a standard room that badly needed renovation to an averagely acceptable state.goon location for town stay."

TR stayed at Diamond Beach Hotel on 2007-11-16 and said, "grungy looking place and comes across as dark and gloomy cause they are too cheap to turn on the stair and corridor lights during the daytime. the indoor pool looks creepy. poor lighting basically throughout the hotel. generally the whole place has a run down feel. however, the location is good if you are there for the sex industry on walking street. but the bed is too soft and is probably too old. the hot water is iffy at times. worst of all is that i had to kill 7 roaches during the two nites i stayed there. the breakfast is pathetic but then again if you are really staying there for the nightlife, no one really takes breakfast seriously. the bottom line - if hygiene and ambience matters to you, you should stay away. but if p***y is more important, it s ok for a short stay."

No luxuries, but I didn t expect any at this price. Remarkably quiet considering the location, probably because I got a room away from the noise. Companion friendly, just had to pay for the extra breakfast. Will be back next year."

Even though the hotel was situated within the heart of walking street, I barely heard a squeak from the noise outside. However the greatest asset of this hotel was the staff, who were fantastic throughout my stay. Very helpful, very informative the rooms were cleaned very quickly, the mini bar was reasonable the food was good. A big thumbs up from myself and I will certainly stop their again on my return."

The hotel is popular with Middle Eastern visitors.Unfortunately my room and its meagre furnishings were in an advanced state of decay. The carpet was wet on arrival from a leaking air-conditioner. The bathroom was particularly unpleasant and not cleaned to an acceptable standard.The cockroaches in the bathroom were not welcome company and failed to impress visitors. Not high on my list for a return visit."

Major problem, no TV in bedroom. TV is in other room, with small, uncomfortable couch, and two chairs.Some of the TV channels are : Thai,English,Chineese,Russian,Indian,German,a 24 hours Japanese Wrestling Channel, and an Urban Black Rap channel.?? There are no in room safes, and no wireless internet available. They also have a sign by the elevator NO BRING IN FOOD OR DRINK The location is excellent for the nightlife, and for the price, a good value.Laundry service is very good. The beds are comfortable. This hotel is over due for a renovation, but of course, the the rates go up."

Jeremy stayed at Diamond Beach Hotel on 2005-12-31 and said, "This hotel is right in the middle of the noisy part of Pattaya. I booked one of the three suites at the hotel and was amazed that these overlooked the most noisy part of the entertainment area. Registering during the day did not bring up the noise factor but at night the activity goes on until at least 3am and the noise insulation is not good. The hotel has a very small pool but it is indoors and I never even saw one person in it. Regard this hotel as well placed for entertainment but lacking facilities - effective pool, poor exercise room and a second rate restaurant. It is price competitive."

Arriving around 2.00.pm I had to wait until 7.00.pm before I could get into the room, but was provided with a normal room until that time.The 2-room suite was fine and the outside room had been completely redecorated - very nice. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful - I will stay again."
