Ari stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2008-01-10 and said, "Great place, clean accommodation and very friendly & service oriented staff. Gotta come back in the future."
Hans stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2008-01-10 and said, "Position of the Hotel is good.Everything is close to the beach. The possiblity to do some beginners snorkling at a coral reef together with lots of colorful fishes is a bonus. The service and food is OK. We stayed 5 persons in an air conditioned family room. The Standard of this room is not the highest but compared to price we could not complain. We recommend anyone going to Koh Ngnai Resort to join the 3 Island tour arranged by the Hotel. It was a great experience visting an even better coral reef for snorkling, then the Emerald cave (a must to visit) and a couple of other good spots was making the day unforgettable. Go here if you want to relax and get away from shopping, bars, background traffic noise and longtailboats roaring outside of the beach continously. Instead you will have to enjoy the noise of nature (insects, frogs, cikadas, birds, fish splasing)in the surroundings of the hotel. Teenagers might get frustrated and restless at arrival. But booth our teenage daughters admitted that they liked this place and what it can offer after some days of nature adventure . We all would like to go here again."
Mr. stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2007-03-19 and said, "stayed in a villa which is about 3rd level up hill but has sea view, very comfortable. Staff at resort were extremely friendly and helpful, if an item not available at the resort happy to order it in from the mainland, the reef has suffered some damage and is fished however still provides a worthwhile snorkling venue. we will return."
Kamilla stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2007-03-01 and said, "Beautiful scenery and bungalows. We had a very nice deluxe room with a nice view over the pier. Excellent food and friendly staff. Highly recommended!"
Petter stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2007-02-03 and said, "We stayed 6 days at the resort and could have stayed longer. We are not people sho like resorts but this was so nice and calm, with wonderful snorkeling waters just outside the poolarea. Good food and nice room. We stayed in a Delux room and it was clean and nice with a TV that had many international channels that worked well. Many of the rooms are up a hill so you should be fit to stay at a Delux room. Cheaper rooms and expensive bungalows are closer to the water and in lower terrain.Service at the only restaurant is many times very slow and you need a lot of patience with them. Many Swedish families with children at the resort when we stayed there. Nice if you have children too but might be irritating if you are looking for a romantic holliday.Water can only be bought at the bar! And at 60 bht a bottle so bring lots of it! Very few items can be bought at the resort store so bring everything you need. You can walk to another beach from the resort but this must be done dure daytime because it involves climbing and walking through forest and there are snakes and huge lizards in the area.Snorkeling gear can be rented at the hotel for 150 bht a day.We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it!"
Johan stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2007-01-05 and said, "Very nice place. Beautiful beach. The restaurant could be cheaper though."
Jonas stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2006-01-25 and said, "We stayed in a Beach Front Cottage at Koh Ngai Resort for 9 days in January 2006. The room was okay, although it could use some renovation soon. It was very well cleaned though and it had a very nice view of the beach. The beach here is small but really nice and there is a beautiful coral reef just in front of the beach which is very nice to snorkel during high-tide. I think that the beach and the snorkeling here is better than on the other longer beach where all the other resorts on Koh Ngai are located. The restaurant is also okay. It is a pity though that it is such a difficult track to reach the other beach - it would have been nice to go over there and test a few other restaurants in the evenings, but we didn t want to do that rock-climb in the dark to get back. Koh Ngai is quite remote and it has some not-so-nice creatures like mosqitous and a few bugs that managed to get into our room. So my wife refused to walk on the floor in the night without a flash-light, much to my amusement :-) I wish they would have a mosquito net over the bed though. Instead we had to spray our room in the evening each day before we left for dinner. The pool is okay. We would go back, but it wasn t the best place we stayed at during our 5 weeks in Thailand (best was Layana on Koh Lanta)"
Joan, stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2006-01-14 and said, "We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely resort which was made very enjoyable by the warm and kindly staff some of which became as friends. The chalets were kept very clean and the bed linen changed daily. This particular resort is isolated from others on the island and so one doesn t have a choice of restaurants to visit in the evenings. Access to the other beaches however is available via a small rock climb. This is a holiday destination for those seeking a non commercial environment, a quiet retreat and an inclination to go to bed early. (The bar closes at 10pm!)For those into snorkling, diving and kyaking it has much to offer. Truly a very beautiful place."
Mr.Chris stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2006-01-07 and said, "The food at this resort is SO BAD. I would not return to Koh Ngai Resort for other reasons as well1. The resort is isolated from the other resorts on the island on a beach not as good as other beaches2.The resort has a tired, staid, atmosphere and the staff lack a willingness3. The jetty is the only plus4. I would return to Koh Ngai Island but would stay at Fantasy Resort or possible Co Co Resort. I always like to eat at different places and these resorts give me this option."
Fam.Vince stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2006-01-01 and said, "A disappointing place, particularly the restaurant which was slow, expensive and of patchy quality. The waiters were apologetic, but they need a new restaurant manager.Other guests warned us to check our restaurant bill when leaving, and sure enough there was a large amount from the previous occupants of our room showing on our account. The beach is small and only suitable for swimming at high tide.At least the snorkelling around the corner is very good, the view to the offshore islands is lovely and the overworked woman on the front desk was very helpful but really Koh Ngai Resort does not compare favourably with the other places we stayed at for cost and services."
Anne stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2005-12-17 and said, "Both the island and resort were lovely - very secluded, perfect for a honeymoon spot or quiet family vacation. Lots to do during the day - kayaking, snorkeling, day trips to Emerald Cave, etc. Very relaxing, away from the commercialization of the bigger islands; great food too! We want to return for our 5-year anniversary."
Susan stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2005-11-12 and said, "We stayed in a beach front bungalow. Very comfortable and well maintained, with a lush garden behind, set back just a good amount from the sand and palm trees in front. Beautiful little beach with clear water; small, but nice pool; and lots of fish. Great, friendly staff; good food. We came with amibitions of going on lots of boat trips, but wound up just hanging out between the beach and pool."
Mr.Bruno stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2005-09-18 and said, "I was so disapointed with this hotel that i only spent the night there because i couldn´t leave the island until the day after my arrival...It´s a backpacker luxury hotel."
Mr.Phil stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2005-08-06 and said, "oh what a place we arrived and found it was the off season and had the place to almost our selves.paid 2000bht a night and upgraded to 20000bht a night cabana on pool deck looking over watewr to emerald cave this is one of nicest places in all of asia"
Ausa stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2005-03-02 and said, "Superb beachfront bungalow. Excellent service. Really nice pool with clear water. Nice clean beach. Professional service from the staff."
Goran stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2005-02-17 and said, "A very luxurary resort. Good acommodation, a fine restaurant and one of the most fantastic gardens with lot of flowers. Add the friendly staff and you only can be satisfied. Hopefully the booking-situation will be normal within a near future so there will be some more guests. Britten and Goran Lundstrom, Helsingborg, Sweden"
Rowena stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2004-11-11 and said, "The hotel was very comfortable and romantic. We can see that a lot of effort went into setting up the resort. It even has a swimming pool that we had to ourselves most of the time. The beach was perfect - fine white sands and crystal clear waters. The restaurant served one of the best tom yam soups I ve tasted. The only drawback was that the resort was a little secluded, and we had to trek through a short stretch of jungle to get to the other beach where all the other resorts were located, but this only adds to the romance of the place."
Mr.Thomas stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2004-02-08 and said, "I would very much recommend a stay of at least 5 days here. It´s a very nice place ,with very good service and friendly staff. It good oppurtunities to walk across the island to an even more quiet and idyllic beach Paradise beach. It was very easy to do trips for diving and to Koh Roc and Koh Mok .Lovley food.Thank you !!"
G stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2004-02-08 and said, "beach front bungalow very very good ,lovely beach, good prices in restaurant, not sure if standard rooms would be noisy due to closeness of generator"
Gary stayed at Koh Ngai Resort on 2003-12-23 and said, "Very comfortable, friendly and quiet resort on the small island of Koh Gnai... no piped music, no nightlife. Ideal for peace and quite. Even here, Germans `Reserve` their beach deckchairs before 7! Air con. bungalows and fan rooms. Good food, reasonably priced. Great location for excursions to other small island of the SW coast."
