Christel said, "One of the worst experiences in my 7 years living in thailand. very small rooms, tiny bathrooms and the service is aweful. be aware of the totally overpriced restaurant. One beer 150 baht, where everywhere else its 80-90. Front desk woman unfriendly. NEVER AGAIN"

Arif said, "First the owner still manage this hotel. Clean, spacious, and nice bed. Bathroom is clean tho to small for westerner. But the most important is their service. Ms Bashenee the owner really take care her customer. Everything you ask she seem to have the answer. Krabi town itself it is not worth visit more than 1 night."

Goh said, "I was given a small room with no proper ventilation ,only a small window facing the common corridoor. There were some spider webs on the ceiling,no electric plug to charge my cell phone and I was caught smoking in my room at the wee hour. Last but not least, there were junks blocking all fire exit,no lift to serve the rooms and beverages were pegged at hotel rate. At last I was force to shift to another Hotel(City Hotel) which is new, cheap and clean.Theparat Lodge is not worth a cent and the money that I have paid for. I am there for a Holiday and not to serve a jail term. Keep This In Mind."

The owner went to restuarant management school in San Fran, CA for 2 years so is very fun to talk to. She s also opening up a new hotel soon close to Ao Nang (beautiful beach), can t wait to visit that one!"

Wong said, "The distance from the beaches gives assurrance of safe from Tsunami, at night when sleeping. Served as a base for activities like island hopping, kayaking, elephant trekking, and more, with transport. Proximity to cheap, local, tasty meals. Neighbour to Pharmacy, and supermarket."

The food at the restaurant there was good too. The cost was extremely cheap and it was nice to stay in Krabi town for a night. The prices are much cheaper in Krabi for shopping then on the beaches. Overall, we enjoyed the Theparat Lodge."

Am not entirely pleased with the service - as we were leaving the lodge to take a short walk at about 9.30am on our checkout day, we were told rather harshly that we d better be back before 11am, otherwise we would be charged for another day s stay. In short, ideal for budget travellers."
