Kristina stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2008-03-20 and said, "Wonderful resort, it gives you a spa-feeling.Wonderful room, with a beatiful outdoor bathroom. Our son had his birthday when we were at Cliff Ao Nang Resort, and the staff made a beatiful cake for him. We can highly recommend this hotell. It take´s about 10-15 minutes to go to the beach and that is not a problem. The hotel is an oas!Kristina, Stefan, Filip march 2008"
Staas stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2008-02-16 and said, "The staff at the Cliff is very friendly and do an excellent and service minded job. The food served is of a very good quality, breakfest is served either at your villa or in the restaurant, all with a smile. Rooms are small with barely sufficient space to put all you clothes in the cupboard, which also has not sufficient coathangers. But again staff and food is very good and that makes you forget about the size of the room."
Kim stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2008-02-14 and said, "A small, well driven and extremely exotic hotel. Staff was as always smiling, friendly and extremely serviceminded. The hotel is superclean and the food fantastic. We have no complaints what so ever after a 15 day stay."
Sarah stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2008-02-07 and said, "overpriced for what you get. To be fair the resort is nice looking, clean and the beds are comfortable. However, the service is only satisfactory, rooms are too small to be comfortable (lots of luggage or not) and the outdoor restroom can be a bit of a drag after the initial novelty wears off. It also leads to a lot of mosquito bites. The breakfast served outside your room sounds like a nice idea but in practice it turned out to be more of an inconvenience as you have to book the time that you want it served the evening before which means you end up setting your alarm clock to have breakfast during your vacation. if you re late, then the food is cold and the table it is served on is too small and crowded. the restaurant was also a bit cheap and petty when asked for an additional serving of peanuts at the bar. without telling us we were charged 80 baht for a small plate of peanuts. they said only the first plate is free which is a bit ridiculous as they give 1 person or 8 people the same small plate. for guests staying in the hotel at 150$ per night, peanuts should not be an issue when you are paying for drinks. also, the pool area is very small which means that you don t get much peace and relaxation when families with kids are around. there was a surprising number of kids there as i thought it seemed to be more of an adult looking hotel on the website. the hotel is actually not too suitable for kids as the pool area would be quite dangerous and the space is too small. perfect place for couples or it would also be a great choice if you want to rent out the whole resort for a private event. a 3 minute tuk, tuk ride from the main drag of ao nang. a plus was the free internet in the lobby. a hotel that looked like a great choice was ao nang villa, located right on the beach and seemed better priced."
Pontus stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2008-01-20 and said, "Very nice small place. Excelent service and friendly staff. Good value for money."
Patrizia stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2007-12-07 and said, "GREAT HOTEL, WONDERFUL HOTEL, GORGEOUS STAFF... I ll be back next year...Bellissimo hotel, staff spettacolare. E una piccolas bomboniera dotata di tutti i confort: colazione davanti al bungalow se lo desiderate, connessione internet gratuita, scooter a vostra disposizione con soli 250 baht al giorno, info sui posti da vedere. E se volete rimanere in hotel una sera a cenare, fatelo! Il ristorante e ottimo e la qualita del cibo è fantastica!! Ottimo tutto."
Bernard stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2007-11-16 and said, "Good points: Nice place, the outdoor shower / toilet is very unique. Overall the service is good, staff are very friendly and always smiling. Nice unique resort set up.Bad points: Too much mosquitoes, especially at the outdoor toilet area, resulting in my wife getting a lot of bites. I ended up having to buy and burn mosquitoe coils. Could not have breakfast outside our room also as a result of too much mosquitoes. The room though maybe a little too small if you are carrying a lot of luggages."
Marilyn stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2007-10-13 and said, "A lovely boutique hotel. Staff & Service excellent and having breakfast served outside your room each day is a nice touch. We had our evening meal in the hotel a couple of times and found the food to be very good. The rooms are lovely although a bit small if you have a lot of luggage. Pool & cleanliness of resort excellent. It s about a 15 minute walk to the beach with plenty of shops and restaurants along the way. we hope to visit the Krabi area again early next year and will certainly stay here again."
LOS stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2007-09-04 and said, "The resort is good and u will have a warm feeling like u are going back to your own home. Very privacy such as u can have your meals just outside your room rather than everyone go to the particular restaurant and have their meals. For us, because our bungalow is just in front of the pool so we did enjoy the atmosphere. If u like the mountain very much then u will enjoy the stay in Cliff Ao Nang as the resort is surrounded by the mountain with a walking distance to the beach. The hotel service is also good except the airport transfer. Our pick up was not there when we touched down at the airport and the driver was late for about half and hour. We have wasted our first day in Krabi because of the flight delay plus the late hotel pick up. Quite dissapointed on this. If possible we will wish to go back to Krabi and stay with Cliff Ao Nang again next year !!"
Boon stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2007-07-18 and said, "This is a great resort at a very reasonable price. The hotel staff are very friendly, helpful and meticulate. The interior is just excatly what is shown in the website picture. Its a totally new experience to take shower under the sky. Having breakfast at our doorstep is another great experience that shows the resort excellence service in arranging meal according to customers need/time."
Hendra stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2007-06-07 and said, "fantastic service. very helpful and friendly staffs. 15 minutes walk from ao nang beach.my first time in krabi so i do not have comparison with other hotels. but i highly recommended this hotel ;)"
Lee stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2007-05-13 and said, "Fanatstic boutique hotel. Quite small which adds to the charm. There only 10 rooms plus a suite, a small restaurant/bar and a beautiful pool. A reasonable 10/15 minute walk to the sea front or 80baht in a tuk tuk. Highly recommend staying here."
Alexander stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2007-03-16 and said, "Lovely little hotel. If you have a lot of luggage, this hotel is not for you since the rooms are rather compact. We loved it - the service was excellent - friendly and efficient. The outdoor bathroom turned out to be an asset - when taking a shower, the bedroom does not get steamed up and if you want to wash something out, you just hang it and it dries very shortly. We stayed in several other hotels, including the Hua Hin Marriott, but Cliff Hotel was our favorite. Yes, it is on a busy street but once you enter the premises, it is like a little oasis. Very unique."
marianne stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2007-02-10 and said, "Excellent service, always smiling and very helpful staff. Very clean an imaculate place. A peaceful oasis and unique atmosphere due to its architecture, outdoor bathroom and perfection into th detail. May and Kho, the pearls from the frontdesk made this stay simply perfect. Only minus is the relatively few number of sunbeds around the swimming pool - however - who would hang around the swimming pool when a a place like Krabi has so much to offer... Rent a motobike to get around. Thanks to the whole staff of the Cliff Ao Nang Ressort. We will certainly come back. Marianne + Cesare"
Eyal stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2007-01-22 and said, "great sservice from great people (thank you may)very clean, the pool is amazing, 5 min. walking from the sea.i will be back agin for sure"
Klaus stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2006-12-06 and said, "Based on the price we payed (in advance) we expected much. The location is cramped and too noisy, because it s just 20 meters from the main road with much traffic. The standard rooms (2 per each small house) are rediculously small; there is just only enough space for the bed and to walk around it. There is no space for a table, not even for a chair. The built-in little cupboard has no drawers, only a rail for hangers. Only the outdoor bathroom was a nice surprise, but also not well thought-out.The staff is friendly, but most of them don t understand English well.Breakfast is just acceptable, but there is nothing special. You can t enjoy sitting at the lobby near the pool because of bad smell coming up from the sewage system under the pool s wooden border. We recommend to refrain from ordering food or drinks, as the prices are outrageously high and both quality and selection is only average. It is much better to get out from the hotel and walk a few minutes. There are plenty of little restaurants down the road.Summarized: A poor price - performance ratio. We shall certainly not come again."
Monica stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2006-12-01 and said, "Nice hotel, very clean and cosy. The location is not the best, maybe a bit too far from the nearest beach. However It s not a big problem because there are plenty of tuc tuc.The staff was always kind and very helpful."
Vikki stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2006-10-05 and said, "This hotel is fantastic. The staff are lovely, the setting is amazing and the service is excellent. We were made to feel extremely welcome and relaxed. The accomodation is made up of bungalows with lots of greenery surrounding them. The ensuite bathrooms are outside which may sound bizarre to some but definately don t be put off as they are very private and unique. We will definately be back."
John stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2006-04-11 and said, "The Cliff is perfect for travellers who wish to avoid the hustle and bustle of Ao Nang seafront. The beach, restaurants, shops and boat trips are easily accessed from the resort either by foot (ten minutes) or for a few baht by taxi or tuk tuk.The American manager and his staff are kind, attentive and helpful.I arrived from Khao Sok with a stomach infection and the chef prepared special food for me without charge. My wife enjoyed some of the best food she had on our trip to Thailand. We stayed in a poolside room that was comfortable, spotlessly clean and well furnished. The outside bathroom (emminently sensible) had an excellent shower. We took breakfast on the small terrace outside our room.If we return to Ao Nang we will definitely stay at the Cliff."
Dina stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2006-03-11 and said, "the resort is wonderful! bungalows are small but very cosy, personnel is really nice and helpful - they were able to meet all our requirements and gave a couple of valuable advicespool is good, though not required given the beautiful beacheswe enjoyed our staying a lot"
Joanne stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2006-02-05 and said, "Great Hotel, Great Staff, Great Hospitality. I like the cosiness and the personal touch that the resort and its staff brought to us. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who s planning a trip to Krabi!"
Ally stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2005-12-28 and said, "The Cliff is beautiful. The setting, the rooms, the pool - everything. The staff is very friendly and all speak English well. Since this region of Thailand is extremely hot, having A/C was GREAT. The food was delicious and the location is near all the action, but just far enough away that it s quiet. The bathrooms were very unique. Not very private, but yet very cool. I would recommend this hotel for sure. Email me if you want to know more allymcclure@aol.com"
Sarah stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2005-12-06 and said, "Staying at The Cliff was a pleasurable experience. The setting is idealic, beautiful views, outstanding swimming pool, the cottages are small but comfortable and the service was impeccable. If I return to Thailand I would definitely return to the Cliff."
Erna stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2005-11-25 and said, "Staff are very friendly with excellent service, Receptionist speak very good english. Room is nicely decorated although is a bit small. Love the outdoor shower. Not many english speaking chanel, they have a plasma screen tv with choices of dvd movies out in the pool bar, great things to do while it was raining(it almost rain everyday while we were in krabi) Close to local market, about 15 minutes walk to ao-nang beach."
Sonya stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2005-11-20 and said, "The Cliff was a really good hotel. Very personal treatment due to the small number of rooms. The breakfast was good and so was the service. However, request a room not around the pool. It is quite noisy early when they clean the deck. Also the rooms by the pool do not get sunchairs like the other rooms. Only the ones by the pool. They definitely need to get more chairs by the pool. There were only 6 and they were always full. So it was upsetting not being able to read and relax at the pool at the resort."
Patrick stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2004-12-19 and said, "Nice resort w/ small rooms and a very unique bathroom. Staff were sweet and polite. The hotel was small enough that the manager greeted us by name every time we saw each other. It is great for honeymooners. No view though! It is also over-priced.Breakfast was very good and plentiful (http://tinypic.com/zluzb). The surrending of the resort was surprisingly underdeveloped (http://tinypic.com/zlusi). An interesting experience: the representative at the front desk asked me to pay for the sheet, pillow case and blanket cover when they had problem cleaning a stain on them. However, the same stain on my shirt was easily removed with bleach. I was quite surprised on the way the hotel dealt with this matter."
K stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2004-12-10 and said, "The rooms are very cramped as are the grounds of the hotel itself. The bungalows are all connected to each other as are the outdoor showers (including the toilets!) which affords no privacy at all. The staff seemed unsure of themselves and did not provide the level of service you d expect for those prices. The dinner was very good, more of a Thai fusion than pure traditional Thai food. In all, for the amount of money charged for a room, save your money and book a bungalow on Raillay Beach where the scenery is much better, there s more to do and the vibe is much more relaxed. The hotel grounds were just too small too fit that many bungalows on."
Pamela stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2004-11-20 and said, "Rooms were small, and I felt slightly over priced. However I liked that there were not many rooms, and it wasn t a huge resort. It is fairly out of town, but very stylish, and the staff were very friendly"
Kelley stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2004-11-14 and said, "This hotel is a gem. Just a very short distance away from the highlights of the town - you get the best of both worlds - a short walk into the busy section, but just far away so you can have a peaceful time. The hotel is beautiful - great decor - the bathrooms are in a private garden which gives you a feeling of freedom and tranquility. The staff are amazing, helpful, friendly and attentive. There was not a time when we did not encounter a smile and a greeting. Perfect service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and there would be no question as to where I would stay WHEN we next go to Thailand - Krabi and the Cliff."
Mr stayed at Cliff Ao Nang Resort on 2004-10-10 and said, "Not the best location but more than compensated for by the very friendly staff and some of the best Thai food experienced. 10min easy walk to the beach, good quality accommodation, and its own generator to keep the aircon working if the power goes off !!"
