Don stayed at Krabi Thai Village Resort on 2006-11-22 and said, "I had a very nice time. The Resort was modern and clean. Customer service was superior. I was lead to believe based on the pictures that the resort was on the water, not back on hte hill as it is. That part was a little disappointing. It would have been helpful to have a tours available and time they left when I arrived also. I missed out on going to Pi Pi Island becuase the tour left very early. Had I know, I would have got up earlier and gone:( I really appreciated the rooms, big and very nice.ThanksDonald Sanborn"
Sarah stayed at Krabi Thai Village Resort on 2006-10-14 and said, "First impressions when entering the hotel were good. However, walking to the room reminded us of a european hotel, not a 5* standard hotel in Thailand. Room was of good size, but we quickly found out that the walls were not very well insulated and we could hear everyone around us at all hours of the day and night! Also, the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Pools were nice, although the waterfalls were only on for a short time each day. In the end, mainly due to noise and the bed/pillows being uncomfortable, we moved hotel 3 days before we were meant to. Breakfast was adequate if you don t mind cordial rather than fresh fruit juices, and limited hot food.It would be ok for those on a budget who wanted the facilities, but not the luxuries and extras that you pay for with some of the 4 and 5* chain hotels."
Henrik stayed at Krabi Thai Village Resort on 2006-02-25 and said, "Very nice rooms and swimming pools. However, this hotel is not good for people with young children in strollers. There are no lifts in the hotel, and there are plenty of stairs. The hotel is set away from the main street in Ao Nang and you had to walk 10-15 minutes to reach the beach and restaurants. (A few very nice restaurants right outside the hotel). Some of the girls in the reception spoke very bad English and was therefore not very helpful. The tailor in the hotel was quiet rude, and we would not recommend to buy from this store. Rest of the staff was very friendly and helpful :-)"
Helle stayed at Krabi Thai Village Resort on 2006-02-12 and said, "Very nice hotel. Nice pool area and nice rooms. Only down-size is that there is no see-view.I think one of the best hotels in ao-nang, especially when you travel with chieldren, as pools are big and there is a pool on another level, where people who want to relaxe without children can do so."
Lynn stayed at Krabi Thai Village Resort on 2006-01-17 and said, "This is the second time we ve stayed at this hotel, pleasant time again but don t think we d return. It needs a bit of a make over and simple things like not having acces to an iron so that guests have to pay for the ironing service was a bit disappointing. Staff weren t as friendly as we remembered from our last visit and although the pool area is nice and spacious, it was really crowded. The hotel is set away from the main beach road in Ao Nang, up a steep road which is only partially lit at night so can be a bit of a scary experience with all the mopeds around!!There is a fantastic and very reasonably priced restraunt opposite the hotel called Carnivores , it was fantastic!"
Francisco stayed at Krabi Thai Village Resort on 2005-11-28 and said, "Being part of the touristy south part of Thailand, Ao Nang is very expensive compared to the rest of the country. Leaving the price aside, the hotel is excellent. The room, the pools, the pool bar,the hall, the breakfast buffet, the fitness area, the staff in all the hotel areas. Everything. Absolutely recommendable. Just one weak point to remark. The 300 m. walk to the beach walkside (the heart of Ao Nang) don t have any light. At night, when we went out for dinner, we had the serious impression we could be overrun by a car, a tuk-tuk, or a bike. For a beach touristic resort, I d rate it 9 over 10."
Asif stayed at Krabi Thai Village Resort on 2004-12-11 and said, "Traditional Thai design but very modern comforts. Carved out of a natural forest on the foothills. Not far from Au Nang sea front restaurants and shops. Road down a little dark at night but at 20 Baht pp for a tuk tuk anywhere in Au Nang this is not a problem. Very friendly staff and great welcome. Hotel tries hard to entertain guests with singers and shows. Popcorn free with drinks at the bar. Food would suit those who don t like spicy stuff. Plentiful but not noteworthy buffets. A little price at peak times but clearly one of the better hotels in the resort. Easy access to deserted beaches by long tail boats. Au Nang is ok for long walks but not ideal for swimming. Poolside at hotel is fine. Sleep and wake to the chorus of crickets."
Linda stayed at Krabi Thai Village Resort on 2004-02-24 and said, "The hotel accomodation and pool area were excellent with great service. Our only criticism would be the lack of authentic Thai food. It is a pity that Thai hotels assume that all Europeans prefer western cuisine to spicy Thai food. Fortunately we found two very good local restaurants (Thailandia and Sala Bua) that do serve the real thing."
