Cristina stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-06-12 and said, "The hotel was amazing! The location was perfect- right in the middle of everything. I stayed at the Garden Villas and it was worth the extra $10 USD a night. The staff was wonderful and always willing to have a nice chat. The restaurant has a gorgeous view, and having breakfast there every morning was a highlight of the trip. The pool was great, and what can I say, I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I would definitley come back again. I had no issues whatsover, except that I wished I could have stayed longer."
Jodine stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-06-03 and said, "Everything in phiphi is accessible to everywhere on the island. Phi Phi Banyan is a little run down. The rooms are dark and so are the balconies. They are working on some of it and a hotel next door so there is a bit of noise and smells. It seemed to us that it would have been better to stay in Phi Phi Banyan s sister hotel - Phi Phi Casta. the pool looked nicer and it was closer to the swimming beach. Everything at Banyan was adaquit, although for the price I think we could have done better."
Nurina stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-05-21 and said, "Stayed at Banyan Villa, nice hotel with decent rooms. Totally recommended. The only drawback is that the no visitors policy, which we felt to be very restricted. (No visitors after 10pm). We were with a bunch of people and some stayed at Banyan s aother sister hotel P.P Casita. So, if you are with a bunch; stay at one hotel. The restaurant also serves good food, friendly staff and the location is great! opposite a beach (although the famous beach to swim is just a few minutes away which was fine with us)!"
Stuart stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-05-07 and said, "Bathrooms now in need of upgrading which I think they have a plan to do.Staff effecient and nice. Transfer to pier is good. Overall, Good location right in centre of village and probably worth the money in low season."
Evelyne stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-05-01 and said, "My friende and I have travelt all over Thailand, and this must be the worts placed we stayed. The rooms are ok and clean, but the attitude of the staff was really bad. The Banyan is a part of Phi Phi Hotel group and some of my friends stayed at the casita and it was the same attitude problem. So try finding another hotel...."
TAY stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-04-25 and said, "This hotel need improvement. the bathroom are dirty & smelly & even flood when i m bathing. The staff are rude, i have to wait from morning to afternoon in order to check in. the staff say i can only check in at 2 pm when i reach there at 10am. when i come again at 2 pm, they inform me the room is still not ready yet.a disappointed room with expensive charges."
Dirk stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-04-24 and said, "nice hotel on the central walk way on Koh Phi Phi ; the Banyan wing is newer than the garden wing ; beautiful, well furbished rooms in a tropical garden with swimming pool ; every time a ferry arrives, some one from the hotel is at the pier to pick up your luggage."
kfir stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-04-11 and said, "Nice hotel, the pool is clean. problem s with bad odor on first level.not close to the swimming shore (boat harbor side)very good hotel restorant however (evening)."
Heidi stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-04-07 and said, "The place was very nice and clean. We stayed at the upper wing and like that a lot. The bed was absolutely the best one during our trip! :) Resort s location is perfect, near to the main pier and beach street. Pool area is also nice. The restaurant area where breakfast is served wasn t so nice with plastic tables and chairs but there are lots of other nice restaurants and bakeries nearby. We would recommend!"
Ivan stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-04-06 and said, "Mixed feelings about this hotel. Room was nice but bathroom wasn t as clean as I would want it. Shower and toilet look old. Choice of satalite channels wasn t very good. Pool is nice but missing umbrellas. The best thing about this hotel is it s location: close the heart or Phi Phi partying but quiet."
Geoffrey stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-03-23 and said, "This was the second best of 5 hotels i stayed in accross SE asia. The best thing about it was the location. It s right in the middle of town, which was nice, especially considering the small size of the town. It was easy to find places to eat or go out nearby and it was easy to catch longtail boats right out front. The negatives were that there was a bad smell in the area and the AC was a bit weak. Also a whole wing is along a popular alley so there is some noise. Aside from that it was a nice place. While I wouldn t mind going back there at all I may try something different next time."
Maria stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-03-11 and said, "Great place to stay on Phi Phi. great location - right in the middle of everything! beautiful rooms and the staff were excellent. absolutely no complaints and highly recommended."
Ben stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-03-09 and said, "Good Hotel, for the island, rooms clean and near everything. The only thing is we both got a very nasty bought of food poising from the breakfast, so beware"
Kaitlin stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-03-04 and said, "The hotel itself was pleasant. The rooms were cleaned everyday and towels were provided for the pool and the beach. The location was ideal for access to everything on the island. The staff was friendly and the rooftop garden with a spectacular view was the perfect spot for a proposal. Having said that, the breakfast was somewhat to be desired. The exact same things were served all three days we were there and there wasn t much variety or many western choices. We really enjoyed our stay."
Andreas stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-03-04 and said, "We stayed at the villa wing lower unit and it was a little worn down. There was a 3 cm gap under the front door, so cockroaches could easily get in. We will stay in the garden wing next time, because it s newer. But the location is perfect, and the breakfast was ok. We love Phi Phi, so we will definately come back!"
Marie stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-03-02 and said, "Great hotel with very friendly staff. Nice little pool in the garden with a lot of plants and flowers. We stayed at Banyan Garden. Really nice and clean room on the uper leval. Perfect balcony with a wonderful view over the little pool, palm treas and the rocks behind. Good breakfast. The location is perfect! We will definitly come back!"
Alexander stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-02-26 and said, "ÃZòëè÷Ãûé îòåëü!"
daniel stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-02-25 and said, "Mkt fint hotell som ligger mitt i händelsernas centrum på Phi Phi. Fräscha rum, bra restaurang och mkt god service. Rekommenderas!"
roger stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-02-17 and said, "in the middle of everything yet nice and quiet the restarant was not that god but the hotel i can recomend to anybody"
Eran stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-02-14 and said, "I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone and for 2700 baht per night, you can find something a hell of a lot better! The rooms are totally run down, towels left in the room were old and stained."
John stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-02-08 and said, "Booking was easy. When we got there (2nd time at hotel), we were greeted by very unfriendly female desk manager. During a 1 week stay our room was cleaned 3-4 times. Breakfast is same every day as it was 2 years ago when we stayed there (yucky food..can t they get some variety!). If you don t have kids over age 10 (700 baht per 10+ year old) and are staying just a few days, it is a good place though. Although, rooms have large gaps around balcony doors and unless AC is on very cold, mosquitoes are a problem. This will be our last visit to Banyan Villa due to our kids being 10+ years old. Just makes the place too expensive. We were told that even if our kids didn t use their extra beds (700 baht per kid per stay), we would be charged. The location of the place is good though...we will miss it but not at the current price."
LI stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-02-08 and said, "The hotel is very beautiful.Room is normal.Location is convenient to anywhere.Breakfast is good."
Sonny stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-02-07 and said, "Very nice staff, rooms and pool in the middle of downtown Phi Phi. The streetlife can be somewhat annoying in night time for some of the rooms but if you can stand it, then this is the place to stay. However,a big dissapointment was the central part of Phi Phi Don around the harbour area and the beach cross the harbour where the Tsunami hit. Noone seems to take responsibility to build it up nicely again. It´s a pity since it has such a potential. Rest of Phi Phi is just as nice as before."
Anders stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-01-23 and said, "I requested Upper Banyan Wing room with pool view and that was exactly what I got. It was a beautiful room, however with one big problem. Room 306 is gable-end and facing south. Thus the AC can never keep up with the enormoous influx of solar energy. I kindly requested a change and they moved me into room 108 wich is upstairs, near pool but with garden view. This room was perfect except from the safe box that kept resetting so I had to call the master engineer to come with his palm pilot, the Jesus-box and cable to fault-find, open and fix it. Avoid rooms 306 and 105 that face south on gable. Best rooms are 307, 308 that overlook the pool. The pool is clean and nice in the garden. My room was clean and nice and cool. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, but sometimes stressed when large day-tour groups arrived for lunch. Buffet breakfast was included in the price and it was the best breakfast in any hotel during my 3-week trip. The buffet contained everything I could want - and more including fresh vegetables and salad plus the usual fruit. The location is only a few minutes walk from the boat pier and the hotel staff is waiting there and will take your luggage to the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel and would probably book again should I return to Phi Phi Island."
Vince stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-01-17 and said, "Nice grounds and pool area - but thats about it! The rooms are totally run down, towels left in the room were old and stained (gross). The staff was not friendly at all and I encountered a problem and asked for management, I was told that all the managers were in Bangkok for a meeting, so no one was able to assist with the problems. The island has no twist top bottles and that being the case - the rooms should be equiped with openers! When I asked for one, the housekeeper said no and continued with her work grumbling loudling in there language. I was told that she did not speak english, but I showed hand motions of what I was looking for should have been acceptable and understandable.I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone and for 2700 baht per night, you can find something a hell of a lot better!"
Claes stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-01-13 and said, "Nice hotell, good staff, Great rooms. Will return next year...AAA+++"
Kurt stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-01-11 and said, "We stayed in the newer garden view rooms - very comfortable and spacious. Quiet split AC, double glazing, pleasant balcony, good quality fittings and furnishings. Good service. Our rooms were not cleaned one day, but when we informed the front desk, the situation was immediately rectified. Pretty garden and pool. Not enough chairs around the pool - only 6 or 7. Good breakfast in a lovely beachfront setting, but the same every day. Beach out front not really usable - many longtails moored there. Located in busy area, so easy access to shopping and everything else. Nearby disco thumps until the early hours - double glazing muffles the noise somewhat. We enjoyed staying here for our 4 nights and would recommend it highly. However, as we are an older couple, for our next visit to Phi Phi we will try to find somewhere away from the disco and nightlife noise."
Alicia stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2008-01-06 and said, "My friends and I really enjoyed staying at the Banyan Villas. The hotel was very easy to find from the pier and the staff were very helpful in allowing us to leave our bags at the front while waiting for our rooms. We thought the rooms were adequate for our four day stay at Phi Phi Island. They were always well maintained and easily accessible. We absolutely loved having the balcony overlooking the pool. I found the bathroom slightly outdated but it did not stop us from having such a great time at the Banyan Villas. Tonsai Restaurant was ok. We enjoyed the breakfast more than the dinner. They had an adequate variety of foods and I loved the Omelette and egg bar! The Villas were relatively central to where all the action occurs. They are about 5 minutes walk to the beach and the local bars and hotspots. We never found noise to be too much of an issue which was also a plus. Overall I would definitely stay at the Banyan Villas when I return to Phi Phi Island. A great place for young people going to Phi Phi Island for a relaxing and enjoyable time!"
Ganesh stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-12-30 and said, "excellent hotel in prime location. staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel s restaurant probably gives you the best value for your money. cheap good food and large servings. highly recommend everything associated with phi phi banyan villa"
Lisa stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-12-28 and said, "The villa is quite old and dated, the towles a bit grubby but were changed regularly. The place is central on Phi Phi,about 10 mins walk from the pier, we did have to make our own way from the ferry, i did expect someone to meet us to help with the bags, but no one showed. The bathroom stank of urine when the shower was used and the hairdryer didnt work properly but apart from that the general location and place was ideal, we had 2 children aged 11 and 15 with us plus my mum - all enjoyed the stay except for the few issues stated above. we also broke a glass by accident and was charged for it!!!!!!!!!!! 50 baht - not the end of the world, accidents do happen and i was annoyed that we were charged. The staff were ok. Breakfast was 7.30 - 10am - would have liked a bit longer maybe till 11am but the food was good. Not many places to lay by the pool but the pool was nice and in lovely gardens. Security was around on a night time which i thought was good."
Melvyn stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-12-27 and said, "not a bad hotel right by the beaches and shops we stayed in the upper garden wing much better than the lower wing.the room was cleaned every day the only falt we had were the showers they were not very powerful just a trickle at times and the water did not go down the plug hole very well so you were left standing in dirty water while you had a shower .the breakfast was very good always warm and plenty there sat on the beach to eat every morning very nice . i would reccomend staying at this hotel as it was good value for money in a good location and clean."
Melvyn stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-12-27 and said, "good hotel we stayed on the upper garden wing much better than the lower only bad point about it was the shower somtimes you just got a trickle of water and the water did not go down very well so you were standing in dirty water while having a shower. the rooms were very clean and quite roomy with plenty of storage space and a safe for valuables .breakfast was very good and plenty on offer .the location of this hotel is very good right by all the shops and the beaches and every thing else thats going .i would reccomend this hotel as it is good value for money and in a good location."
Melvyn stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-12-27 and said, "this hotel is right in the middle of every thing we stayed in the upper garden wing this looked better than the lower wing.the room was very clean and there was plenty of storage space clean bedding every day.the only complaint i had about this hotel was that the shower did not work very well somtimes just a trickleand the water did not go down the drain very well that meant youstood in the dirtyshower water while having a wash. breakfast was very good and always hotplenty there too if i went to phi phi again i would stop at the ban yan again."
Geraldine stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-12-26 and said, "We enjoyed a wonderful time here. The room was always spotless when we returned, even the towels were folded into different designs every day! The staff was fantastic. What a perfect setting to have breakfast - right next to the sea!"
bernardo stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-12-21 and said, "Rooms are good. There was some noise from the outside, but it did not bother my sleep. Pool is a bit small. It is very close to shops, restaurants, etc, and the beach were boats arrive and depart - but taking the boat is the only thing you do at that beach. we ended up going to long beach (hat yao) almost everyday, if i were to do i again, i d probably choose to stay there - although it is far from the shops, restaurants, etc, there is a trade-off."
Huang stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-11-27 and said, "the location is good. and garden is attractive.the service is good for most of the time. but i am not happy about the leaving. in the morning, when we checked out, the front desk agreed to send us to the ferry. but at noon, they refused to carry our luggages because we are the only two guests to leave at that time. and they lay that the ship at that time was cancelled and said that if we didn t believe we could go with our luggages by ourselves!!! and we did so under the hot sun, and boarded the boat as we expected. so bad memorry of the leaving process."
Miss stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-11-27 and said, "Nice place. Very close to markets and restuarants, very close to the pier, and only 2 minutes walk to the swimming beach. The pool is nice. The staff are very friendly. There was someone at the pier to meet us when we arrived on the boat, but he wasn t holding a sign like all the others and was hard to find in the crowd of people. We would stay there again though. The rooms were decent size, and both our rooms had nice little balconies with sun lounges on them."
Mary stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-11-23 and said, "Hotel location was great. Staff was very nice. Rooms were relatively clean, but the A/C produced a bad smell so we couldn t use it for the last few days."
Amy stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-11-14 and said, "Great location and staff was very nice and helpful. Bed was more comfortable than other places we stayed in Thailand. The only big negative was how loud it was in the evening if you were trying to sleep and not out on the street doing shots of booze."
Ciaran stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-11-12 and said, "A Fine hotel for the money, excellent location, lovely complimentary breakfast and 10% discount for dinner at the restaurant. Staff were all very helpful very very friendly. If I had to say something negative, it would be that the bathrooms are a bit dated and smelly, but I would happily return to this hotel."
Britt stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-11-11 and said, "Perfect. Cant find anything that wasn´t great, except myself who forgot to leave money in the tipbox at reception when leaving. Can´t wait to come back there again. Thankyou for a nice and friendly stay."
Anita stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-11-10 and said, "Banyan Villa - Room is old and bathroom very old and not niceGarden wing - 200 bahts more and is new, a lot nicerWe changed rooms after 1 night to the garden wing. After the 3 paid nights we moved to the Phi phi hotel (same group and only 30meters away)and was also 500 bahts a night cheaper and the hotel was newer and nicer - but the pool was not as good but the beach is only 50m away. Both have a very central location - good base to explore the surroundings. Clean and breakfast was Ok pretty similar to all the other 2000-3000 bahts a night hotels.Would recommned the phi phi hotel and banyan garden wing only."
Mihajlo stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-10-26 and said, "nice place close to everything, clean, freindly staff, breakfast ok, had better, would stay there again.only downs for me where the drain in the shower smelled bad when in the shower, and air con was right above the bed so it would get cold at night but if u turn it off its hot.i stuck with cold.rooms were made well it was good.the restaurant was good also.i spent many hours eating and drinking there.ps.the cocktails werent too flash.i felt they were rushed."
Fang stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-10-13 and said, "lovely rooms.I like the balcony so much. And the place is very convenience to do everything."
Stuart stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-10-12 and said, "Not worth the price paid. Had an upper floor garden wing (which is supposed to be the newer wing!) double room. Black soot blowing out from aircon to the bed and limescale covered showerhead and taps. Towels are very bad quality or been washed thousand times and never replaced. Not recommended for the price paid."
Dave stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-10-10 and said, "My stay there was very pleasant. The free breakfast near the water was nice. The room was classy near the garden and quiet. The room safe is more difficult than most however solved with patience.the bed is comfortable and tv good. I would reccomend this hotel"
Donna stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-09-01 and said, "hotel was in great location and close to the pier, markets, restaurants and beach, however the room was not very clean. The bathroom had a very bad smell and was not clean. We could not sleep with the air-conditioning on as it had not been cleaned for a long time and was letting out a lot of dust. The pool was also not very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful."
gary stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-08-30 and said, "If you re looking for a place on Phi Phi that is relatively inexpensive (25 to 30 quid a night) with modern, clean and well equipped rooms, in the heart of the action, yet with rooms far enough from the noise to retreat to you want then look no further. Very friendly and competent staff. I spent 3 nights there and fully intend to return. I actually enjoyed my stay at here more than the 5 Star Sheraton in Krabi, which I stayed in after leaving Phi Phi."
Ira stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-08-25 and said, "Nice room, very good breakfast, pleasant staff. But it s hard to sleep well at night because of all the drunk people screaming right behind the walls."
Tony stayed at Phi Phi Banyan Villa on 2007-08-17 and said, "Its was very nice and the staff was very friendly. The only problem I found with this hotel was the ants in the bathroom. Otherwise a really nice place to stay at."
