Jennifer said, "We have just come back from our trip to Thailand, during which we the main town during the day. In the night you basically stay at the resort, so be prepared to have all your meals on the resort. They only take cash too! Do not come if you want to party, but if you want to relax, this is perfect! The hotel is locally run and the staff are all friendly, be prepared to wait for food though and don t be too worried if your food gets mixed up too!!!The resort is expanding and we are not sure if this will ruin it a bit, as the greatness of this place was the fact that there were not many tourists and there was enough beach to go around!Having said all this if you are laid back and want to relax then Phi Phi Relax resort is for you! If you want five star luxury or to party go somewhere else!!!"
Restituto said, "AwsomeAway from the hustle and bustle of Tonsai Bay where its full of other tourists spoiling the very thing you went there to see. This place is VERY relaxing minus the hike to Tonsai but nice scenery along the way. When they say the hike is 1hour for a grandmother, they forget to mention thats its for an eventual grandmother and she s still in her 20 s and in prime shape.Awsome snorkling area."
Stuart said, "Nice quiet getaway for a couple of days. Beautiful setting. Staff friendly and responsive. Clean bungalows. Food good. Took a three hour boat ride. The Andaman Sea was like a clear bluish green lake. Just beautiful. Cannot beat the resort for the price. Highly recommend this resort for a couple of days."
Andreas said, "Very nice place to stay.. especially for honeymooners.. Recommended stay for more than one night and not more than 4 night. The sea level good at noon (for swimming and snorkeling) and unfortunately that time we have to check out. Nice crew.. a little bit expensive food.. Heavenly taste of banana pancake with honey. Mmmmmh.... slurp! Surely come back again."
Anthony said, "The Phi Phi Relax is very relaxing. They pick you up at the main pier in Ton Sai and take you to the resort by boat. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant has good food and is reasonably priced. The resort is very isolated so be prepared to stay at the resort for the entire time. The bathrooms are very primative, but that is part of staying in a wood and bamboo bungalow. I would definitely recommend it as a nice get away from the crowds at Ton Sai Beach."
Chua said, "It was great. Both of us had fun and made a couple of new friends. Food was great esp their Thai Food, spicy and sour. Lovely! Beach was beautiful like your own pool. Our room was very nicely done. Cicidas wake up every morning.... Lots more of goody stuff. Tell them not to build anymore chalets as the current one are enough. Will definately go there again...and this time longer days.."
Pierre said, "Nice hotel with a nice beach. The stuff was very friendly and the food was good. The rooms are clean and the beach is wonderful. I recommend to stay not more than 4 days at Phi Phi Relax because its really out in the green. You don t have the possibility to go to an other restaurant or a bar at evening."
Anthony said, "I have to say my stay here was excellent and would recommend it for a 2-4 day stop, the beach huts are basic but enchanting, the resort is ideal if you want to escape the tourist track on the centre of phi phi. The toilet/shower room is very basic so prepare yourself, but the stunning coral beach, which is excellent for snorkelling (better than any other spot on phi phi island) or lazing on the hammocks is all you need for a couple of days, and even better you have it all for yourself and the small number of guests.it is very secluded and only accessible by longtail boat or a 20min jungle treck to phi phi viewpoint but again adds to the sense that you have discovered a gem away from the hoards of tourists in the centre of phi phi (ton sai) which i found pretty awful with its oz/brit themed bars. another plus point was the restaurant area was really nice and the food was excellent, the portions were huge tho! make sure you have a fruit shake in the day to cool you down, the staff where really nice especially the manager andrew, was great really made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. cant recommend it highly enough, feel like i shouldnt i want it to myself!! as you can see its very cheap to stay, and even if i was a millionaire every time i went to phi phi i would stay!"
C. said, "Back to how Koh Phi Phi once was! Not that luxury resort but that shouldn t be the reason to go here. Just enjoy the relaxing way of life here and you have one of the best stays in your life! And the food... really great."
PHILIPPE said, "a very nice place , very good welcome and all is made to have a nice stay if you want to rest in a simple , authentic placethank you for all the staff"
Olga said, "Very relaxing hotel, beautiful beach with white sand and clear sea. Amazing jungle around. Wish to come back there next year!!!"
CHARLES said, "My husband and I the food incredible. The food can be looked at as pricey, doesn t include breakfast, but I think it was worth it for our vacation. We went to Phi Phi town and were really glad that we didn t stay there. For us, the low-key relax atmosphere was just what we were looking for."
Tom said, "Phi Phi Relax Resort was a splendid choice for three nights stay during our visit to Phi Phi Island. The site is absolutely amazing and the original Thai huts as well. Sorrounded by jungle and the blue and green Andaman sea makes even a postcard to turn into a complete falsum. The staff are very friendly but business in the high season affects the relaxed atmosphere a little to much.Phi Phi Relax Resort is a bit pricy compared to other places in Thailand and therefore did service including dayli new towels, toiletpaper etc. not meet our expectations. The beach and snorkling point is exstreamly great but the whole beach should be a little better cleaned every day to make the dream of paradise on earth realized in full. The balance between business and expected service could easily be improved and increased the all together satisfaction and our experience to the very best. Seven to eight out of ten but fully recommended. May the dream of Phi Phi last forever in balance with tourism and our hunt for paradise on earth. Tom, Majbrit, Amanda and Caroline.Copenhagen DK"
Tom said, "We had an exstreamly plesent and recommended stay. The Beach resort is located more beutifull than any picture or postcard can present. The Thai huts are creatively build in respect to sorroundíng nature and most of them with wonderfull views over the green and blue Andaman sea. The staff are very helpfull and friendly but business in the high season affects the relaxed atmosphere a little to much in our opinion. The price for accomodation is a little high as well as the cost for food compared to similar Island places around Thailand. Though food is good which is of most importence.A little more service including new towels toiletpaper etc. every one or second day should be provided considering the relative high costs.More importent could be just a little better dayli cleaning of the whole beach to keep the dream of paradise on earth realized. This is truely a wonderfull and spectacular place on Phi Phi Island with the best of nature just around you. Snorkling from the beach by an inexperienced danish family was amazing and quit a wakeup to the undersea world. The junglewalk to viewpoint and Tonsai Bay was great and good excercise.Just a few efforts could easily make this dream about paradise and tribute to nature in balance with a modern tourist world and the never-ending business. We will fully recommend Phi Phi Relax Beach Resort and gives the place 7-8 out of 10."
Mr said, "Relax is the word. Quiet beach resort on east side of island. Very basic and rustic Thai style bungalows, very basic bathroom, electricity from 8pm to 4am only, access by long boat with nature in the rooms, frog, mosquitoes etc. Food excellent, but expensive (yet there portions are way to big, tip - cut the portions and cut the price). Helpful staff. Beach is tidal and when the sea is out you get to walk around the coral and have a great clean beach, when sea in you get squashed a bit but OK as it is only for a couple of hours. Snorkeling great. Mosquito s bad (use tiger balm on the bites, it works wonders.) Over all really good time. They are building more bungalows but not too sure if this is the best thing to do for this place."
Alexandra said, "A perfect place to stay if you want to get away from the noisy Ton Sai village! Our bungalow had a beautiful view and was like being in a tree-house overlooking the sea. Snorkeling is good from the resort s beach and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I hope it stays, small and quiet for a long time! We d love to go back."
montagnier said, "Very nice place, quiet, good food. Nice people but you are prisonner of them and they make you pay 10 baht some more hot water you want. If you want a mask, they ask you 50 baht. Nothing is free there. The first night, impossible to sleep as noise all the time. This was a mouce. You have to fetch the owner to knock the wood of the bungalow (he is aware of that complaint). But beautiful place.Marc from France"
TAM said, "the stuff of this resort are very nice and friendly. i think the beach of the resort located is the best of P.P. island and it will only take about 20min. from pier to the resort by boat. you can play snorkelling just outside the beach and the underwater view is absolutely amazing as the seawater is so much clean and the sand is so soft. however, pls remember to bring mosquito repellent in order to prevent dengue fever as there are lots of mosquito after sunset. and it is better to bring a umbrella and waterproof bag as there might be a heavy raining and there were two raining days in our 4 days 3 night trip in the island."
Lotuz said, "Lovely resort and very relaxing. STaff very helpful and feel like a big family.Food is not cheap.please bring extra money beacuse they only accept cash.room is very basic, but who s care? all the time we spend outside. Only back to room when you want a long sleep."
Karin said, "This place is amazing. The beach is really nice and there s only the people living at the hotel (about 40 guests). The snorkling is really good just swimming right out from the beach. This place is really relaxing. The food is great (try the pancakes for breakfast). The bungalows are however very simple (but very beautyful). Also a lot of mosquitoes. We that feelt like the right amount of time staying here. I would defenetly like to come back here."
Sara said, "If you really want to get away from it all, this resort is just the ticket. Private, secluded beach which is filled with fish, coral, and other colorful marine life. Rustic, yet comfortable bungalows with perfect views of the sea. Warm, helpful staff. Excellent food. Ditch your cellphones and laptops and head to Phi Phi Relax Beach Resort!"
Paul said, "We absolutely fell in love with PP Relax resort. It does what it says on the tin. If you want to chill out and enjoy the best food in Thailand and twin that with great snorkelling, book this place. If you want fancy 5 star total indulgence then don t. I could build a house at the end of the beach and live here quite happily. The staff were great and the whole atmosphere was like being one big happy family. Thank you Andrew (The Manager) and Tee for a fabulous 4 days! We will return.Paul & Marion (London, UK)"
Rebecca said, "Beautiful....we had the most wonderful time. Andrew, the manager at Phi Phi Relax was happy to help and cater to our every desire. The Banana pancakes were the best in all of Thailand! We cant wait to get back with our children."
Vijay said, "Phi Phi Relax Beach Resort was really good for a short 3 day stay. The rooms where basic but had just about everything that is required. The shore line adjacent to the resort was unbelievable in terms of clarity with all sorts of corals and sea life, (parrot fish, anenoma s even a black finned shark on my last day. Definately i place i will revisit. (Easy to book diving trips from also)."
Susanne said, "Great place if you re looking for a relaxing and quiet place! Very friendly staff, delicious food, great beach. Only the bathrooms could be more comfortable."
Eileen said, "The hotel while rustic was (as the name suggests) VERY RELAXING! The view from any bungalow was amazing, the excursions the resort offers were fun and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The staff went out of their way to make you feel at home and to ensure you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately we only booked 3 days at this hotel - I wished we had booked more! I can t wait to stay at this resort again!"
Samantha said, "We and I wanted for that part of our trip. Because it was in a bay by itself, we avoided the constant hum of loud long boats. The food was great and not overly priced (though pricey for Thailand, like the accomodation). It was a treat and I would do it again! Oh, and bring some bug repellant. :)"
David said, "A very friendly, relaxing resort. The bungalows were beautiful and clean. Great excursions were on offer at very reasonable prices. The restaurant and food was excellent. You won t find a better resort on Ko Phi Phi. Thanks to all who made us very welcome."
Tracy said, "Very nice to be away from the hustle and busle of Ton Sai! Great little bungalows overlooking the ocean. We had one right on the beach, closest to the restaurant. Only bad thing was the beat from the music at the bar until 11pm. 15 min walk to Ton Sai if you are moving fast, 45 if you go at your leisure. Long tail at the pier to meet us and take us to the resort which was nice."
Malaka said, "Totally separated from any civilization, bungalows unprotected from animals, electricity is available only for couple hours a day, cold showers. Only place where you can buy food is in their restaurant which is 50% more expensive then Phi Phi downtown. At the night there is no entertainment, besides hang out in their restaurant and drink. Alternatives - jungle walking, expensive taxi (only two times a week at 8a.m. i 1p.m for 100tbh) or boat taxi (around 600-1000tbh). Never again."
Ville said, "We the place is the most magnificent one I ve seen during my trips in Thailand. If you prefer AC rooms or nightlife it s not your place - there are no such things here. Luckily. Instead there is relaxed atmosphere, and most of all, the most magnificent snorkeling reef I ve seen in Phi Phi islands, just at the beach. Our days were superb - went scuba diving at 8 am in the morning with one of the islands dive companies, then walked through the jungle back to the bungalow and snorkeled for hours until it was too dark. Then a decent dinner (a bit pricey, yes) and to bed. I preferred this no-electricity, no A/C idea of this place - and it s a heaven if you like snorkeling. There were table corals having diameters of 3 m, lionfish, wonderful cliff and it beats Phi Phi ley sites 100-0. We loved this place - we ll be back if we ever go back to Phi Phi."
Valerie said, "Like the slogan of the resort says the other side of phiphi island it is really the other side! except for the washing and toilet facilities, it is a marvelous and quiet place to stay, compared to the hotels on the other side of the island (village). the staff is very friendly and helpful, the food is good and tasty. its the perfect place for people, who search for calmness, for families and couples...and thank you very much for the birthday-cake!!"
Nanda said, "The description of bamboo hut with muskito net is what you get in terms of the facilities - but our whole family rated our experience at Phi Phi Relax as the best of our whole Thailand trip, in terms of the friendly service, the food and size of portions served, the tranquility of the secluded resort and felt we experienced the real Thailand way of living here, but it would only appeal to the more adventurous traveller."
Longo said, "Very beautiful place, with a private beach. attention in certain bungalows the toilets are very rudimentary. Reception not very pleasant, the 1st thing requested is the paiment of the rest of the stay... why do not beginn with a free cocktail?"
Judith said, "Staff were very friendly and helpfull. View Room was small and very rudimentary, however there is no need to be in room during the day. Beautifull private beach and if you didn t want to pay for a long boat to and fro to the main port, you could take a walk through the jungle and pass two amazing view points."
