Samantha stayed at Lanta Island Resort on 2008-04-10 and said, "We were very happy with our stay for the following reasons: the beach was magnificent, the location was great (15-min walk to town and pier), the staff were all so friendly, and the food was great. In terms of the room, this place is very basic, they only give you a sheet for a blanket and the shower drainage wasn t very good. If you don t mind something simple though I would highly recommended this place as the staff make it all worthwhile. Bring a sleeping-bag if you can so at least you ll have a blanket. :)"

Stefan stayed at Lanta Island Resort on 2008-02-13 and said, "The hotel location was very nice. Close to the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bungalow (poolside) was good. We only have 2 complaints:1. The beds are way too hard.2. The AC sounded like a jetplane.These two things made it hard to sleep which was very frustrating, but overall a very pleasant stay!"

Great restaurant with nice staff and tasty food - very good prices. Nice pool area and very nice beach, not crowded at all dispite that the hotel was fully booked. Thai massage place on the beach just next to the hotel.We highly recommend this hotel!!!"

Carlsson stayed at Lanta Island Resort on 2008-01-30 and said, "This Resort was OK, even if we were unlucky have problems with the aircondition and the toilet (water came up from the floor). We was not told that we must leave the key to get the room cleaned, but after a few days they told us the rules. The place was good located inside the beach and the personal at the restaurant and recep-tion was nice."

Helen stayed at Lanta Island Resort on 2007-12-25 and said, "It was a realy nice hotell,the staff was friendly and serviceminded and the rooms was guite big, but the toilet was not very good. But they fixed it every time we said soo. The beach was beatiful and just around the corner.I can very much recomend this hotel."

Dana stayed at Lanta Island Resort on 2007-12-22 and said, "The hotel was great, and compared very well to many of the others on Khlong Dao (a great beach to stay on). There was lots of shady places to lie on the beach, as well as lots of places to take in the sun, and a great restaurant (although service is slow). The shower wasn t great, and there is no tea and coffee facilities, but overall the bungalows are lovely and recently rennovated. Would definately stay there again."

Breakfast very poor.Fruit Or Juice Tea OR Coffee.Everything to be payed for. The Deluxe Beach Bungalow was 80 meters from the Beach. an was outlooking another House and Garden.?? The bed was Stonehard and the Bathroom had a poor fall of water in the shower.The personal in the breakfast area couldnt speak any English. One Girl in the Reception could speak good English.The Breakfast was served in the bar.??? No tables and chairs.only high bar chair. Very hard to get a taxi.You have to walk to the mainroad. Good thing ?? We just stayed one night.our flight was dealayed. Book Narima instead.At Klong Nin Beach."

Anna-Karin stayed at Lanta Island Resort on 2007-12-19 and said, "It was really quite nice! Just by the beautiful beach. The restaurant has to improve though. Great food, but for lunch we had to wait over an hour for the food. Come on - Pad Thai only takes a few minutes to prepare! There were several families that were quite upset and just left the table after 45 minutes wait."

We had a standard room with a fan, which was absolutely fine and cool enough at this time of year. The room was basic, yet clean and comfortable. The pool area is good. The beach is very nice at this end of the bay which is a plus. The restaurant served great food, especially the Thai cuisine, and is reasonably priced. The waiters were friendly and helpful, especially if you made an attempt to speak Thai."

The staff at the bar and restaurant also couldn t do enough to make you feel welcomed and relaxed. The locations is perfect, right on the beautiful Klong Dao beach, within easy reach of the Ban saladan town. All in all a perfect break, great setting, great facilties and super food!! Thank you one and all! Also enjoyed the company of the friendly little cats! Thanks!"

Matt stayed at Lanta Island Resort on 2007-05-04 and said, "We stayed at Lanta Island Resort in May 07 - the off season so it was very quiet. We were the only people there so we had the whole place & the beach to ourselves! There were a few restaurants open nearby so that was OK. It was reminiscent of Koh Samui 20 years ago - I hope it stays this way, we loved it. Owners were very nice & we had lots of friendly cats to play with."

Heidi stayed at Lanta Island Resort on 2007-02-23 and said, "We ordered a beachwiew bungalow, but got a standard bungalow a bit from the beach. The owner promised us to get a beachwiew after 2 days, but som people decided to stay longer so we didn t get it anyway. The bungalow was ok enough, but it was no windows (at least not ordinary windows), so we felt a little strangeled . Thougt it was a petty that we didn t get what we were promised. Exept from dissapointing bungalow we found Lanta wery nice and really enjoyed our stay there. Next time i guess we will order a bungalow at another resort that can keep their promisses."

Bungalow was pretty new, clean and equipped with everything you need. Close to the beach plus own swimming pool. Only 5 to 10 minutes by taxi from the ferry pier."

Robert stayed at Lanta Island Resort on 2006-12-12 and said, "Lanta Island was the highlight of our trip. Bungalows were great for the price and location of the hotel was key. I recommend renting a scooter (you can rent from the hotel or get it quite a bit cheaper from other places) and traveling around the island."

The bungalow was very nice, the people working there were very kind and helpful and we had our own Thai massage a few steps from our bungalow. The restaurant was also very nice and served very tasty food. We would love to come back!"

While it seems that the owners are now trying to fix up the shabby appearance (deluxe bungalows newly decorated), there is still a very long way to go. More importantly, food was poor and level of service from staff was woeful."
