Mr said, "What a fantastic place to stay, always chilled, the rooms were great for the price i payed, right next to beach, the pool was a great place to unwind and the view was amazing, the best thing about this place is the staff who work on the reastarant floor, always with a smile and in my case and great conversation, all of them i took time out to speak to and all very good people.I did visit the new part of this resort on he mountain and this is were i would stay next time as its a bit more new and the view from the pool is one of the best i have prefere the pool then id say stay at the new part, i would stay here again no problem, many thanks for a great time in koh tao"

Kent said, "We three nights at the resorts new hotell at the top of the hill. At the resort the rooms were ok, perhaps a bit small, but the bathrooms could be better. The hotell at the top of the hill were brand new and very good. The service was very good everywere and we enjoyed the stay. If you want a relaxing and quiet stay at Koh Tao I strongly recomend Koh Tao Resort."

David said, "Great location on quiet beach away from main town. Superior room was a bit small and dark. I thought it was overpriced for what it was. Overall the resort staff were friendly. However we thought the reception staff could have been a bit more helpful."

Olga said, "very friendly staff. Its better to take beachfront bungalow, looks nicer, seaview bungalows are tiny. sea is not very deep. the hotel is far from the most populated sairee beach. Sunset makes people to stay on the beach till very late, very beautifull."

Megan said, "Excellent deal. A very nice hotel on a beautiful swimming beach, with a refreshing infinity pool, and clean rooms. We Koh Tao Resort was the best hotel for such a reasonable rate. The only complaint is that the walls are very thin, we could hear everything our neighbors were saying and doing. ;x"

Oliver said, "Nice and very friendly resort. Superior rooms were very small and tue to a connecting door a bit noisy. Therefore 2 500 p.N. are too expensive. However, we can recommend this quiet place, where we had 3 wonderful days. For people, who would like to go snorkling we recommend, doing a private snorkling tour - ask the bar keeper :-)The restaurant was one of the best we had during our 2 months-stay in Thailand! Staff was extremely friendly, food was excellent, portions were biiiig and the view during the sunset was extraordinary!"

Joanna said, "Do not stay at this resort. Dive centre and pool are good - use them without staying here!We s and high hopes were soon dashed. The bathroom was only separated from the bedroom with a screen and the drain smelt horrible. The room was in need of refurbishment with mosquito screens held in with yellowing sellotape, dirty curtains and rug. We had also booked a double room and got twin beds. When I spoke to the sullen receptionist, asking for the twin beds to be made up as a double she said we could push them together! Would it really have been too much trouble to make up the bed with a double sheet? Obviously. Our towels were changed and the room swept daily, but no bedding was changed for the duration of our stay. This was representative of the level of service you could expect from this resort. The restaurant is seriously overpriced and service is poor. Our meals arrived one hour apart one night! Breakfast is average. Try the fantastic Aroi or Tukta for good food at good prices in lovely surroundings. The Sunshine 2 bar is a fantastic and chilled alternative to the empty, unfriendly resort bar with booming music and minimal custom.In conclusion this could be a good resort, but it is badly run and managed and just not a particularly enjoyable place to be. I left feeling disappointed in Koh Tao because of this resort - a real shame. Oh - and check your final bill - some of the charges on ours were questionable - possibly why the first time I saw the receptionist smile was when she handed it over.PS: Samui Lagoon Bay Resort, South Chaweng is fantastic as is Poppies restaurant."

Markus said, "Nice Location on Koh Tao, but a little windy. Beach is ditry of woods an waste. Breakfast Buffet is going boring after few days, same kind of unkind food every day. Employees only did their routine job not even more. I expect a little more from a resort that it s called itself Luxury Resort, not worth that money...unfortunately!"

Toni said, "We lizzards were in the room. Surrounding forrest was noisy at nights. (frogs etc) Nice resort, but pool area was little bit too small. Food was good. Beach was dirty, but maybe due to storms. Staff was friendly. Free pickup to/from pier."

Vanessa said, "The Koh Tao Resort is located in a beautiful bay, with an excellent view, but in this season not really good either for swimming, nor for snorkeling.I spent there only two nights, so maybe I was just unlucky with the weather. The beach was quite dirty too, lots of garbage, but I don t know if it was just the effect of a little storm on the previous day...The structure of the hotel is really nice: the hall is nice, the restaurant also. The only problem is that it seems to be left on its own: just an example: I sat for dinner on a table with a dirty table cloth: they served my dinner without changing it! And this happened with everything!! Execpt from the garden (unbelievably cared of).I booked a normal room. the rooms have doors that connect them and the walls are quite thin. So, if you are in a central one, you ll hear perfectly what your neibourghs are doing.but I think this doesn t happen in the de luxe room. I saw beautiful bungalows closer to the beach, in brand new building.The restaurant was quite good.Also the breakfast was good, a rich buffet. Try the pancakes, mind the ants close to the fresh fruit."

Steven said, "Chalok Ban Kao is a beautiful bay but is too shallow for swimming and the coral starts before it gets to 1m deep. Ko Tao Resort is the nicest hotel on the beach with a nice pool and grounds. Its a pity there s a tacky Welcome light hung over the pool to spoil the view. We had a deluxe room which has 1 double and 1 single bed. Dont make my mistake and order the extra bed which costs 500 TBH here. The rooms were partitioned units with interconnecting doors & thin walls between them so you could frequently hear & smell your neighbours! We did have a/c, fridge, TV & electric shower but the room size was a bit small & not good value for the money I thought. The resort has a dive school & boat but you dont have to dive to stay here (I dived with Bans on Sai Ri). However, if you intend to take a course, you can get a 20% room discount if you book direct with the hotel (http://www.kohtaoresort.com). Restaurant is OK but nothing special & in the evening there s a cover band which is a bit cheesy. Best food we had was at the Bigfish next door. Breakfast buffet was OK but a bit limited & samey. Some of the staff were not very friendly or helpful. On the whole, average but not great."

Melanie said, "Hotel reception very dated but this is a lovely family run hotel with a small pool but beautiful view and beach. Definitely worth the money. We booked a basic room which was also a bit dated, but it didn t matter really as the weather was great, the pool area was nice and relaxing and the view of the sea from the restaurant was idyllic. Definitely have a banana and coconut shake!!"
