Olinga stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2008-07-02 and said, "Very nice and cosy. It is located at the center of the salad beach which is the best beach in Koh Phangan for relaxing and for snorkelling. We are very pleased with the staff as well.I recommend this resort to anyone who is planning on having a fantastic relaxing holiday."
CAROLE stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2008-06-01 and said, "Very pleasant stay -wish it had been longer. The accommodation is basic but comfortable, the staff eager to please and the food most acceptable and inexpensive. Delightful setting."
Emma stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2008-03-31 and said, "I have visited this particular beach a lot and saw this resort being built. A few of my friends have stayed there over the years and yet this was my first stay after it was built 6 years ago. I would say that I thought the rooms were very dated and needed a face lift. The sink taps were really annoying as they wouldn t stay switched on and there was no plug in the sink! My boyfriend had a real issue with this for shaving reasons! Half the staff in the main restaurant were pleasant. But the other half were pretty rude and looked like they hated being there. Nothing like the other places on the beach. There was a really obvious difference in staff here compared with anywhere else. The most shocking thing though was that the manager on the front desk who greets all new clients was the most rude thai man I have ever met. He was the most miserable person I have ever met too... surely this is not the kind of front desk staff you require in Hospitallity! This man is easy to identify as he is the only man on front desk wearing pony tails and painted finger nails. To be fair I only booked at this resort because Salad Hut was full. But we did have a very pleasant stay. The pool is lovely and the room was fine.... Haad Salad Beach is what made the holiday great not the hotel."
Fiona stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2008-03-18 and said, "Hotel nice.We stayed in hotel building room above reception which was nice but we could hear the neighbours every move through adjoining door also a bit far away from pool + beach.would advise a pool, garden or beach bungalow.Nice quiet beach, shallow waters so good for our 3yr old. Many children staying at hotel,a good place for families.Staff very friendly.Breakfast very good.Pancakes made to any shape you want if you fancy a crocodile or shark.Good stay for somewhere quiet.Bikes easy to hire to travel round the island as not much to do around resort.Snorkelling good tho.Hotel also hires out kayaks which is good fun for an hour.Would go again."
Yvonne stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2008-03-17 and said, "Upon arrival we didn t know what we were getting into, but once we got in, what a wonderful place this is!! We even extended our stay for few days more. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms were clean. Food from restaurant was top notch. This is truly a gem that we d want to keep to ourselves and not tell anyone else so we can keep it to ourselves. Nute was an excellent ambassador for the english speaking people. Everyone was always smiling and trying to make your stay adventurous or just quiet along the pool."
Magnus stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2008-02-21 and said, "The service wasn´t good. The Staff didn´t even say hello when we arrived and wasn´t intressting of the work or the guests. The Pickupservice was late and expensive - thougt it was including the high rate - but not.It was really noisy place with thin, thin walls. We did´nt sleep very much at this place. The food at the restaurang is not to recommend. Eat at another restaurang on the beach. On the day can you only stay att the poolside cause the water was so high, no beach and the hole beach was full of sandbags - not beatyful at all. We´ve been to Thailand a lots of times and this was the only place we never come back to and is not recomended!"
Mrs stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2008-02-08 and said, "Very nice rooms, we stayed in the hotelpart closest to the beach and had a spacious balcony overlooking the garden with a glimpse of water. The restaurant and staff are excellent as well as the spa-staff. The only minus is a shortage of sunbeds or rather that the custom of reserving sunbeds with beachtowels is predominant. The beach however is a delight with crystalclear water and some fairly good snorkeling to be had just close by. All in all a resort to recommend."
Kurt stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2008-02-08 and said, "Very good and nice resort. Beautiful beach. Restaurant not as good as rooms and resort. But massage service excellent."
Sven stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2008-02-05 and said, "Overall impression is ok. (We stayed 5 times in Samui - this was our first time in Phangan.) Salad Beach Resort has good room but - shower is not seperated (Pool View Villa) from Toilet. Thats a bit unconvenient as half of the washingroom is wet after shower. Pool has good size, enough sunchairs all the time there. Restaurant is ok. Food is middle class, service very nice and friendly. Reception of Hotel is not that good - mostly unfriendly and need to be squeezed for a bit of info. Beach was very very slim - but great for swimming and snorkeling. ATM and supermarkets just around the corner."
Bousso stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2008-02-01 and said, "after spending 4 nights at the salad beach resort we can surely recommend this resort - the location is great, beautiful and peaceful beach, great for relaxing, nice stuff. very high standards bungalow, surrended by a beautiful garden and each has a private balcony. we enjoyed this little heaven very much and we will love to come back."
Maria stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2008-01-26 and said, "Nice and comfortable bungalows. Well kept resort. The hotelpart by the front office is too far away from pool and beach if you travel with children. Great beach for snorkeling, calm and very clear water. The front office staff spoke very little english and were not too friendly, but The boys at the restaurant are just fantastic!! The cleaning personell aswell!"
Marlene stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2008-01-01 and said, "We had a pleasant stay at Salad Beach. Unfortunately the weather was not god, during our stay. Rainy and Windy. But the hotel was good and clean and the staff at the restaurant were very nice, good service and the thai food was very tasty. We were living in a bungalow, 2 adult and two children age 6 and 8. It was enough space but if you will stay longer than 4 nights, I will recommend the larger beach/pool bungalow. They looked much lager. The staff in the reception was a bit slow, and the extra pillow we asked for never showed up. But we had no problem during our stay, so the request for that extra pillow was almost all contact we had with the reception. Remember not to pay to much for your transfer from the ferry. The Taxi wanted 1000 bath to take us to the hotel, the driver finally accepted 750 bath. But 500 bath is what you are supposed to pay. And we only paid 350 bath when we returned."
Vers stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2007-12-26 and said, "Beautiful and fantastic place to stay if you just want to relax and chill out!! Bungelows are very nice, clean and service is good and staff friendly, especially the waiters serving the food!!Great pool! Will go back anytime, def go and stay there again! Thanks"
Anette stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2007-03-15 and said, "Salad Beach is a beautiful beach when the tide is high and looks less nice when the tide is low. The snorkeling was good just a few meters out from the beach. The hotel is nice with a beautiful garden and pool area. However the staff was really unfriendly. They made no effort in helping out and had also some trouble communicating in english. I would not reccomend a family with small children to stay in the hotel part since there are a lot of stairs to climb to get to the rooms and the rail of the stairs is dangerously low."
Peter stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2006-08-04 and said, "Hotel rooms are very nice and comfortable. Breakfast ( and other meals) are good. Staff , especially at reception , not very helpfull ,sometimes even impolite.Beach very nice and not busy. Resort a little bit remote."
Jordan stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2006-06-10 and said, "The resort was beautiful, however the staff was far from it. I had rented a scooter from the resort as many people did, when we returned them the person said that I had damaged the bike and had to pay some unrealitic amount to fix it, when I asked to speak to a manager in regards to the issue the staff member exploided and told me to fuck myself infront of other guests, this seemed to be a common scam at the resort as I saw it first hand happen to other people and we all ended up paying the stuff memeber a discounted amount since they had our passports and would not return them without some money. I would recommend staying somewhere else and woulod not go back again in the future to any Sawadee resort."
Fourcade stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2006-04-05 and said, "HOTEL TRES BIEN . Restaurant trop cher, aller voir les autres sur la baie. Moitié moins cher et aussi bon"
Dominique stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2006-04-04 and said, "The beach front bungalow was clean and quite nice, however much too expensive for what it is. I saw many other resorts with the same kind of accomodation at much lower cost. Food was nice and service friendly. On departure day we almost missed the ferry because the taxi driver did not wake up and there was nobody at reception or any staff around the hotel at 6.15 am. It is also annoying that you have to pay immediately for everything you eat, drink or added service and nothing can be put on a final bill. Beach is rather narrow and not very sandy, the other East coast of the island seems to be nicer for beach sports."
Bertil stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2006-03-04 and said, "Very very nice Bungalow Hotel direct on the beautiful Salad Beach. The bungalows were clean and there were not any disturbing music in the area during nights. The staff was very friendly indeed and we can really recommend this hotel to all that want a perfect stay in Thailand."
Lena stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2006-02-06 and said, "Very nice hotel and a beautiful beach! The restaurant is really good! The rooms are nice and clean."
Sarah stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2005-09-17 and said, "It is a lovely hotel but far away from much to do so you have to depend on the hotel for a taxi. Very clean but yet full of mossie s. Got bites the size of saucers there. Thai people are very laid back but found the staff to be more lazy than laid back in this place. We got into had rin by boat as we came from bophut in Koh Samui. The hotel dropped us to Had Rin for the night of the full moon party but when checking out they would not bring us to had rin with a rubbish excuse that the government wouldn t let them. So they would only drop us to Had Salad where you get the Boat (no ferries here) back to Nathon Town in Koh Samui. From Nathon to Bophut, Chanweng and lamai it is over an hour drive. The boat which the tickets we bought from the hotel wasn t the safest. It was great fun clinging on to the floor boards and getting soaked by the waves for the first 20 mins. We got soaked and some of our passports and tickets home were damaged becuase the waves kept crashing in on top and there was no shelter. I would advise to stay somewhere out of the way on Phanang because Had Rin is not a safe place and very dirty."
Marit stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2005-08-08 and said, "Nice bungalows to a fair price and a pretty beach - just a pity that the management of the hotel made us feel so uncomfortable.. Not very practical or friendly to have to pay for everything upfront - including all drinks and food at the hotel restaurant. Not so friendly either that mistakes made by the employees are directly reflected in their salaries. We cancelled one night of our stay before we got there and got a confirmation we didn t have to pay for it. When we arrived we were told that if we didn t pay, the receptionist would have to pay for it. And at last -a recommendation - go for dinner at the Salad Hut - good and cheap food and good company!"
Maria stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2004-08-29 and said, "The place is really nice and the beach is clean, beautifull and not crowded. The restaurant is medium and you d better eat in next door seafood restaurant. Not very good for snorkeling. You should rent a bike to go to other beaches if not it s comlicate to move around. Only by taxi. But we rent a bike so for us it was great and we stayed longer as planed"
William stayed at Salad Beach Resort on 2003-12-06 and said, "This newly built complex is right in the middle of the beautifull salad beach. The luxury bungalows live up to their name with digital air con, minibar, tv and the best bathroom of all the places I stayed in Thailand (wet room with the walls covered in rocks!). The second phase of the resort was being constucted while we stayed there, but the bulding did not spoil our stay whatsoever. The restraunt was superb, but the staff got a little confused if you ordered more than 1 dish! Would definately reccomend this place if your looking for somewhere to chill and enjoy the beatiful beach. Civilisation is about 30 mins in a taxi!"
