Heiko stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2008-03-23 and said, "The resort is really the nicest place I saw in Thailand. The prise you pay is worth the place you stay. Next time i would go there for a longer time than two nights, because the trip to the hotel is not so easy. The stuff is good, helpful, but the english isn´t better than at a cheaper hotel."
Beith stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2008-01-04 and said, "Absolutely fantastic. Great beach, pool and rooms, we had a familly cottage which worked well for two adults and two children. Views were spectacular. Lots of cheaper restaurants within walking distance along beach. The ride across from the port is a bit rough - however part of getting away. I would also recommend booking the speed boat to get you from Koh samui - more expensive but will save you half a day and is a great way to travel.Staff were particulaly friendly. If we return to Koh Phangan we will ceratinly stay ia the Panviman."
melanie stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2007-07-29 and said, "I went to the hotel for my honeymoon, it is n hour and half away from anywhere, very remote so not easy to get around. The hotel itself is beautiful and the room was very nice. However i have to complain bitterly about the customer service. They have a wooden walkway from hotel to beach that is not lit at night and has no side rails. My husband tripped and fell over the side landing 4m below on rocks. It was pitch black and he was badly hurt. The next morning i went to reception for help and they didnt want to know. They wanted to charge me 1600bhat to take him to the dr, wldnt let me see the manager and refused to move us to a lower level room, as we were up a very steep hill, he struggled to leave our room. We had to check out a day early and they werent even interested to know why. Im not saying they should accept responsibility but steps should be made to make the walkway safer and they should have been more helpful with the whole situation. An absolute let down."
Mark stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2007-06-08 and said, "We have just returned from the Panviman, the resortis truly stunning. Service was excellent throughout, and it really was the highlight of our holiday. Worth checking with resort for any current deals before booking."
Tina stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2007-04-12 and said, "We crossed the island in a minibus taking us on a nice jungle road to Panviman at the north-east bay of Koh Phangan. Our intentions were to visit a luxurious and beautifully located resort - and we were not disappointed. Everything was perfect! Our bungalow was excellent. Large, private and with our own second floor terrace with sunbeds and outdoor bathtop. Some 10 min. walk from our bungalow, we had access to a very nice beach or to the large pool fascilities. The place can however not be recommended to elderly people or walking impaired people. Extremely nice staff, extraordinary breakfast and dining restaurants in an alltogether wonderful place."
Paul stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2007-04-03 and said, "This is paradise on earth! Everything is just excellent: rooms, facilities, food, stunning views and nature. But... many many stairs to be climbed, so certainly impossible for people that are not very fit or disabled, and the resort is also a bit secluded; the nearby village has some shops, bars and resto s but that s it, unless you rent a bike or car and indulge yourself in some jungle trip!Overall, the Panviman is probably the best resort we ve ever had, definitely not cheap but you certainly get a lot back for your money!"
Marita stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2007-03-15 and said, "Yes, I will stay there again! Nice pool, food, bungalow, beach. Nice staff, roomservice great. AC noisy in bungalow 6210 where we stayed but the balkony was in the shadow and had a great view."
Lee stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2007-02-17 and said, "Excellent location between the better beaches on the island.A bit of a trip by road to get to the resort but well worth it. Food and drinks a bit pricey but plenty of other options close by.The staff and views were amazing."
leonetti stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2007-02-02 and said, "Hôtel en tout point de vue exceptionnel.
Carrie stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2007-01-22 and said, "We loved our time at Panviman. The staff was great, the pools were gorgeous, our cottage was really beautiful: very spacious and decorated really well. The TV had tons of English programming. The AC worked well. The bathroom was gorgeous. The restaurants were good, too. Probably our only complaint was the long walk up the hill to our cottage - it left us sweaty every time. We would have liked to have been closer to the beach. After our 5 nights at Panviman we moved down to a cottage on the beach at Star Huts and for 1/4th the price, we liked it just as well, because of the location. However, it was a much different experience from Panviman. If you want a 5 star experience, go to Panviman. If you want to just hang out on the beach, rent a hut on the beach."
Stephen stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2007-01-19 and said, "A wonderful resort,a more beautiful location would be hard to find. The staff were very professional, happy and attentive especialy with our three year old daughter-she had a blast.Food was good, the barbequed barracuda and curries very tasty. The experience was a treat."
Alison stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2007-01-06 and said, "Paradise! The drive to the hotel from Thong Sala was a bit of an adventure but it really felt like you were getting away from it all. Great resort, food, views and rooms. We had been worried about it being expensive to eat there when we read reviews on this site but main course meals were about £3 and beer around £1 for a large bottle. The nearby village is easily accessible"
Rachael stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2006-12-24 and said, "What a setting, we arrived and I felt emotional, the views were fantastic from all angles!! The infinity pool is fab and it s well worth heading down to the beach. Breakfast was good and with so much choice. Cannot really comment on the evening/lunch menus/service as we spent our days on the beach eating lunch and dinner at the restaurants nestled on the beach. We stayed over Christmas and the gala dinner on Christmas Eve was fantastic, with a santa claus, thai boxing and thai dancing !! We would definately return here again. Well worth the tiring journey up the basic roads (good fun). Takes approx 1 hour from the port(south of the island)to the hotel. Paradise found.."
Conrad stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2006-07-27 and said, "Excellent hotel in peaceful location ideal for complete rest and relaxation. Staff very friendly and pleasant. Deluxe rooms very clean and spacious. Prices for meals in hotel quite expensive in relation to food found at beaches, although drinks in hotel bar marginally more but not too excessive I liked in particular happy hour around swimming pool bar. Only negative point is this is a quite hilly area and would not suit persons with disability problems."
Bo stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2006-07-06 and said, "Panviman was the highlight of our 2 weeks in Thailand. We all (2 adults and 3 children) loved every minute of it.Would recomend to anyone, anytime.Very tranquill and stress free. No shopping or night clubs nearby."
Marianne stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2006-07-02 and said, "This is paradise. We stayed for 3 nights in a famili cottage. Which in fact is a bedroom in ground floor with its own bathroom and another bedroom in on top of it also with a bathroom. And a very big balcony with 2 sunbeds. It looked exactely like on the fictures on the website. The view was fantastic. Staff, food and pool amasing. We will definitely stay there again!!!!"
Viola stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2006-05-30 and said, "This was absolutely paradise!! Great swimmingpool with an excellent view. We were staying in a deluxe cottage, absolutely amazing! We had a terrace on top of our house with a bathtub for 2 and a view over the bay and sea! We only ate once in the restaurant, expensive and not that special. But if you walk to the bay (Nai Pan Noi) there are all nice little bars and restaurants on the beach, inexpensive and good food!"
Peter stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2006-04-04 and said, "Yes, this is paradise. At least was the view from our hotel room, overlooking the pool and half the Gulf of Siam. Though having to go to the end of the world (or so it seemed, 45 minutes like a rollercoaster in the dark) to reach it.The restaurants may be slightly overpriced, but the (thai) food is good and the service is excellent, and they also have the indesputable advantage of just being there when you need them."
Nils stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2006-03-19 and said, "This Resort is a Paradis. We stayed 4 nights and everything was excellent! Perfect place to get away from the stressfull life back home. We will be back!!Nils, Susann and Albert Gustafson, Ramdala Sweden."
Melanie stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2006-03-13 and said, "We had a basic room which was very big indeed and had aircon. Although the bathroom stunk of drains... definitely in need of modernisation! But large balcony with great view of sea. The hotel restaurants were so expensive in comparison to the other restaurants along the beach, and the food quality was just the same really. However, this was the best buffet breakfast I had... you could literally have anything you wanted, definitely try the banana pancakes!! It was my boyfriends birthday while we were there and 4 of the staff presented us with a birthday cake!"
Sarah stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2006-03-06 and said, "Nice hotel, lovely pool with great views. The beach is great with some lovely restaurants. The only complaint I had was the water in the bathroom was brown and we d paid extra for a deluxe cottage with a bath but the water was so dirty you couldn t use it. We complained (as did other guests) and were told that it s because the water comes from a waterfall, when I pointed out that the pool water wasn t dirty they said that s because they pay to get clean water for the pool."
Bernt stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2006-02-13 and said, "The hotel is overprised. Sure, the garden/pool area is really first class but the family bungalows are average (price is however first class level). Unless you intend to stay inside the hotel area all the time, you could juest as well pay half or less directly on the beach (even with a less fancy but good pool). The hotel resturants are very very good (both food, staff and view) and only a bit more expensive than the surronding facilities. Even if you stay outside, visit the resturants!Breakfast buffet extremely good!Great location with fantasic beach (but not a snorcle beach due to currents making the water dizzy) and a selection of resturant and some minor shopping. Far from other areas of the island but it is easy to take a taxi boat or taxi.At our stay the waterfalls and some of the smaller pools and the whirlpool) where out of order (6 nights) but nobody seamed to care or even stop people from swimming (in brown dirty water).Mixed feeling. Party heaven but very high cost for the bungalows compared to standard."
Bernt stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2006-02-13 and said, "fantastic area, fantasic hotel garden and pools, fantatsic resturants (top class and medium price). But, the bungalows are overprised with top price level but only medium standard. You can stay for 1/3 price at similar bungalows down on the beach (panviman sits on the slopes)friendly staff, and the area is really relaxing and far from the city pulse and shopping stress. some resturants, some shops, massage, intenet cafés and so on can be found along the beach. Enough for at least 1 week."
Andrew stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2006-02-11 and said, "Stayed for 6 nights in Early February. Lovely hotel, amazing pools with breathtaking views. Great breakfast overlooking the two bays. Majority of the staff want to make your holiday special. We booked a standard hotel room but got upgraded upon arrival, room fantastic. Would recommend."
Derek stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2006-02-05 and said, "Had a fantastic relaxing three days after hectic visit to Bangkok. The deluxe cottage was brilliant and the view from the balcony priceless. The Hotel has great service and food - Breakfast is served in a Hilltop restaurant with fantastic views. Swimming pool is tremendous and the resort is next to possibly the best beach in Thailand. Will return next time we do Thailand and would recommend this Hotel to anyone."
Philip stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2005-12-27 and said, "Very good hotel in excellant location. Luxury bungalow well worth the extra cost. Staff helpfull & friendly and food very good. Nice to have a few places to visit down the beach for drinks & food. Journey to & from resort rather exciting but tranfer staff very good & met us from the ferry."
Charles stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2005-08-30 and said, "Nice resort overall. The beach was nice and the pool area amazing. The problem that I had with the resort was the fact it was 45 minutes away on a horrible road. All the roads in Koh Phagan are bad apparently, but a 45 minute stomach turning trip makes this resort to out of the way to stay here again. Also the bungalow i was in seemed a bit dated, but the resort is very nice and highly recommended for the beach and pool if you can handle the travel."
Rick stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2005-08-18 and said, "We went straight from Bangkok to Samui and then with a speedboat to Koh Phangan. When we arrived it rained very heavely but there was a taxi who drove us through the jungle to Panviman. Panviman is a very nice resort!! We liked our hotelroom (604 I believe? it costs 42 euro s and is set in the older building) and the pool area. The last is really very nice and just like the pictures. The garden is also beatiful. The food in the two restaurants and the breakfast is perfect and inexpensive (breakfast for free). The fruitshakes are very tasty. The staff is very friendly. Panviman is perfect for staying a couple of days to really relax. It is set between two beaches. Looking towards the sea the left beach is nice and has some nice restaurants. We went with a speedboat to the full moon party from this beach. We would recommend Panviman to our friends."
ENi stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2005-08-08 and said, "The deluxe chalet had a magnificient sea view, and it was also otherwise ok. The pool was great, but the beach was fairly far away. Breakfest and the restaurants of the resort weren t good, and there isn t many alternatives around. Some staff members do not have the the slightest clue what customer service is, and they seemed to work in a somewhat chaos."
Brad stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2005-07-29 and said, "Panviman is a lovely resort with really beautiful views over both bays of Thong Nai Pan. The food at the restaurant was good and the staff were friendly and so helpful - the manager was very funny. We were a little disappointed that the restaurant that looks over the bays is only open in the morning for breakfast - but the pool restaurant also has great views. We stayed in a standard room which was just that - the walls had some damp and the bathroom wasn t pristine but it had an enormous bed that was so comfortable and aircon and fan so we slept very well. Our only other complaint would be that as Thong Nai Pan is quite inacessible (we were transferred by long tail from Haad Rin) there are many long tail boats that come in to both of the bays and that spoils the tranquility a bit. But all in all a very picturesque part of Koh Phangan, beautiful pool and friendly people. We would go there again."
Alexandra stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2005-07-18 and said, "It was a very great hotel with perfect rooms(deluxe room). The stuff were really friendly and koh pangan is much nicer than koh samui and not so crowded.the environment is also very good to have some food or drinks."
Swiss stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2005-07-18 and said, "The hotel is located in a reef overlooking the sea. Ideal for romantic trip. Very luxury rooms, perfect bed, beautiful pool, good restaurants (all the 3 of the resort) with very stunning sea and beaches view. Don t expect night life, but if want to take your partner to a special place (may be for honey moon), don t exitate to book this hotel."
Jan stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2005-04-22 and said, "Stayed at this hotel twice on our travels. Stayed in an ac cottage overlooking the beach, great view from balconies, rooms spacey and very clean, bathrooms could do with updating though. Breakfast very good choice. Pool was fantastic, one of the best we have seen. Lovely beach with lots of dogs who were friendly. Road a bit dodgy getting there but definately worth it would recommend this hotel."
Avril stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2005-03-30 and said, "The swimming pool and the grounds area wonderful and the pool restaurant is lovely. The setting is beautiful and the village & beach is good. The hotel room was reasonable but the bathroom left a lot to be desired. I would however stay there again"
Fee stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2005-03-23 and said, "we had a standard room with ac, the bed was really big, the bathroom ok, very nice view from the terrace on the sea and the pool (which was fantastic), breakfast was served in a wonderful wooden pavillon with a great view on the beach and the sea, would go there again"
Jenneke stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2004-08-26 and said, "After a few weeks of travelling through malaisia and thailand and sleeping in various rooms/cottages, we decided to look for a bit of luxurious.... And we really found in in Panviman. We stayed one night in a standard cottage (which was very nice as well) and three nights in the Deluxe cottage. Very very luxe indeed!!! There ar no pictures of these cottages on the internet site, but they really are like heaven (very spacious, private terras with bath overlooking the beautiful bay). Also the swimming pool, private resort beach, service, etc. was outstanding. If you wan t a few days of heaven and luxus: fo there!Check the ferry hours before you plan your flight/travel (the island is less developed then samui, thank god, so the ferries only leave a few times a day)."
James stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2004-04-11 and said, "location is beautiful - the new pool is one of the most stunning we have ever seen."
Lucy stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2004-04-04 and said, "this hotel was beautiful - the beach was a gorgeous secluded cove - other bungalows on it - traveller types but hotel gorgeous - lovely pool infinity type pool - rooms very cool lots of air con quite basic accomm but clean and comfortable and great location- hotel organised speed boat for full moon party too and only took 20 mins there and back and for 500 baht would def go back - a bit of luxury on one of the smaller islands that tends to have basic accommodation"
Desmond stayed at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan on 2004-01-01 and said, "We stayed in the hotel part of the resort and found the room small but comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Average restaurant with stunning view. Got much better accommodation for our money in Koh Tao. The beach here is beautiful, nice for having a swim. The area is very quite with a couple of good restaurants within a short walk on the beach. Think the hotel is over priced but is the best accommodation in this area, if you can afford it. The area is a bit special if you want somewhere away from the madness of the full moon crew."
