Michael stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-05-12 and said, "The hotel is on a hillside and down onto the beach. It has an almost private beach plus a swimming pool and terrace at the beach level. Accomodation is in the cottages immediately above the beach, with good views of the sea and outlying islands, and in the hotels main buildings. The restaurant also has a good seaview.Hotel restaurant was somewhat disappointing. Good food was available a short walk away at adjacent guest houses.Service was similar to in other hotels in Thailand.Internet is only available in their library.Overall we really enjoyed the Sea View and hope to go back."
jacques stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-04-11 and said, "Bon accueil, bel hotel, service a la hauteur du prix payé. Bien pour ceux qui veulent rester sur place a se faire dorer en famille sur la plage ou au bord de la piscine. Restaurant cher et sans interet particulier.Tres mauvais orchestre le soir !!! Buffet petit dejeuner bien. Tres eloigné des commerces et pas de taxi sur place, Navette hotel tres couteuse (600 baths jusqu au ferry terminal)"
Annie stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-03-21 and said, "We spent 10 days at Sea view. We had been promised two delux rooms at the top floor of the main building via e-mail before arrival but where given two rooms on the lower bottom floor (blocked view and a bit worn out). After two days we could change to rooms on the 2nd floor with a door between the rooms (nice for families). These rooms where great! Beautiful resort, lovely garden, great beach and pool. No disturbance of traffic or other noice. Restaurant OK but nothing to write home about. Much nicer, excellent food and very good value at the nearby Porno bungalows restaurant right on the beach. Bring a flash light and walk on the beach, very near. Sea view would feel even better if they included things like free shuttle mini bus to Kai Bae and Klong Prao and if they skipped the daily paper work for things like checking out for (and returning)a beach towel, breakfast cupongs etc."
christine stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-03-18 and said, "Excellent hotel with good location if your main purpose is sun and bath. Walking distance to Kai Bai Village, where several excellent restaurants are located, is a 15-20 minutes walk on the beach. We changed rooms from Superior to Deluxe and found them well worth the money. Breakfast is excellent and the reception staff is good at english. My only complaint is that all guests booked sunbeds early in the morning and then rarely used them - however this is not the hotels fault more a western behaviour problem accordning to me."
Thomas stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-03-18 and said, "Sea View was okay, although staff seemed to hide behind language barriers from time to time.Nice beach, quiet area, not with village next door as on White Sand Beach.Good restaurant, go for Thai food, because western food is coocked by the same staff, and they make Thai food first, and then start on the other stuff. We had to wait more than one hour on a hamburger, so keep an eye on progress and remind your waiter on what is left.Went 2 days on boat trips - take a fast boat, gives you more time in water instead of 4 hrs on a boat in the waves.Bang Bao village with a couple of good seafood restaurants. Local taxis OK."
GRETE stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-03-13 and said, "A lovely hotel. Staff very friendly, and nice and clean rooms. We lived in deluxe room in the building, two adults and two child aged five and two. A very nice place for the children. We would very much like to stay here again. Highly recommended."
Henrik stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-03-12 and said, "It is a very nice hotel with a great location. we had a luxury room with a fantastic view over the ocean, and I can only recommend the hotel for other customers. If you expect a lot of restaurants really close this is not the hotel but if you drive for 1km there is a huge selection plus the two neighbor hotels which are very different from sea view. We would be happy to go back again."
Amit stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-03-10 and said, "Felt slightly trapped in this hotel, walks along the beach were blocked off at high tide and hotel amenaties at night were depressing. Get cab out to local town to avoid being institutionalized. Stayed in nice deluxe room in new building, but all a bit soulless and overpriced considering how old fashioned the rest of the hotel is. The place was about 70% full of middle aged Russians when we stayed so might have given more of a feeling of tsarist oppression.Nice well kept tropical gardens though."
Petra stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-03-09 and said, "We had a deluxe room from third floor and it was really nice. Room decoration was classic. Best beach view on the island. At night hard to walk on the road because it was dark and no lights."
PEREZ stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-03-01 and said, "we were disappointed by the superior room bungalows, we had the view of the parking and noise from 7:30 in the morning, the cheapest standard room, had a view of the sea that is not very normal, we would have the take that standard room better position"
Maria stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-02-29 and said, "We stayed at Seaview for 7 nights in a Deluxe room. This building was built recently and held a high standard - very nice rooms! We were placed on the first floor though and the beautiful promised seaview was completely hidden by palm trees so after having complained we were moved up to third floor were the view was fantastic! The location of the hotel is perfect. Walking distance on the beach to the small town were there are several wonderful cheap restaurants with tasty food. We would also highly recommend to go to Porn Bungalows next door for lunch or dinner or just a drink. The beach at Seaview is excellent - especially for families with children. The pool was nice BUT the ceramics on the bottom was broken on several spots and our daughter got a deep cut in her toe - we had to go to hospital and she could not be in water for three days which ruined parts of our holiday. The only big draw back for this hotel is the service - it is VERY poor!"
Heinz stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-02-26 and said, "I have only one commend. Absolt perfect.Nice place, nice hotel, and absolut great people."
Staffan stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-02-25 and said, "We stayed att Sea View Resort 7 days. First we had a cottage villa but it wasn´t good (feelt unclean and durty) we changed to a delux room and it was verry good. Nice view from the ballcony and clean. It´s a relaxing athmosfare at the resort, no bizzy trafic or salesman arond. It took abote 15 min to walk on the beach to the village were al the shops were. At the way home it was no problem to take a taxi to the resort. Nice place for smal children but may not for the older teenage how want´s more happening ."
Helena stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-02-24 and said, "very good - lovely hotel!"
Mats stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-02-20 and said, "We stayed at Sea View our first week at Koh Chang. We really enjoyed our time there. Except from the very long waiting for lunch orders at the pool restaurant, we appreciated the excellent service and the very kind staff. The resort is located in a very beautiful surroundings dominated by tropical vegetation very well maintained. All day we saw staff taking care of the garden and beach area. They even raked the private beach. On the beach 2 minutes walk from the hotel there is a very nice lunch restaurant with the improper name “Porn restaurantAnother nice restaurant for dinner is to be found 10 min nice beach walk from Sea View. The restaurant is named K.B. The bungalows are nice and can be recommended. The hotel area is very nice with an excellent pool located more or less direct on the private beach. The American breakfast buffet is very good except for the lack of other bread than white toasts. We stayed in a deluxe room in the hotel building. The room is excellent with a nice décor and separate shower and bathroom with glass walls facing the big and very nice bedroom. All rooms seemed to be new renovated.Week 2 we stayed at Kacha resort at White sand. Its also a very nice resort with a similar pool as Sea View´s. The both pools must be the two bests at Koh Chang. You are not going to Koh Chang for the pools, but in combination with the location near the beach it’s perfect. We will recommend the Sea View resort and on a total scale 1-5 we give s strong 4. The Kacha resort at white sand is 4. The service is good but not as Sea View.We paid Bath 4800 for a deluxe room with an extra bed at Sea View and 4600 at Kacha for the same type of room but with a lower standard. Its definitely more value for money at Sea View if you can accept staying far from White sand. Don’t miss the Thaifun boat tour to the island Koh Maak."
Keld stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-02-17 and said, "It is a very nice resort with a perfect location.Excellent breakfast buffet with lot of choices. Standard room was nice and clean, both the watertap and the bathroomdoor should be change to standard.Staff doing a very good job.Garden, swimmingpool and beach is just great. Will be back next year."
Maja stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-02-08 and said, "2nd stay @ Sea View Resort. This time as a family of 6. We enjoyed our peaceful two week vacation very much. The service is excellent, the staff is so polite and smiley - they left us heartbroken when we said our goodbyes. Great resort, very private, wonderful bay, fun pool, good restaurant, excellent spa possibilities, lots of options for the dream vacation. We were a little bothered by the quite loud entertainment every night, since we did enjoy all the great sounds in the nature around the resort but we didn t go out for dinner much, which is an obvious option to get rid of the repitious sets of pop and jazz standards...They are building a new hotel in the same area on the hillside - I am wondering if this will throw over the balance and crowd the privacy of the small bay..."
Alexey stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-01-31 and said, "Nice hotel, but not friendly stuff."
Roar stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-01-28 and said, "At check-in we were told we had to change room three times in four days! First night the bathroom smelled from sewage, and we got no understanding from the staff. The rooms not too clean either. Probably a good place for first time travellers who don t expect too much."
Dr stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-01-21 and said, "A very warm and relaxing hotel. Great service from the airport and throughout our short stay. Excellent room with stunning views of the sea. Would return tomorrow!"
Rudolph stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-01-18 and said, "Very nice hotel. I hope we go there again soon!!! We were there with our 2 children and it was perfect. The hotel has a private beach, swimmingpool and the sea was very good to swim in. Koh Chang is a beautiful island especialy this time of year."
Markus stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-01-14 and said, "Nur kurzer Aufenthalt für uns hier - aber gutes Resort. Personal manchmal etwas thaiuntypisch unfreundlich aber jeder hat mal einen schlechten Tag. Hatten Deluxe Zimmer, mit schönen Blick aufs Meer, inkl. Verglastem Bad - sehr hübsch.Strand ist traumhaft, Essen recht teuer, Spa viel zu teuer (aber um die ecke werden am STrand günstige Massagen angeboten). Wenn wir nochmal richtung Ko Chang gehen werden wir wohl wieder dort absteigen."
Johan stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-01-12 and said, "The hotel is very nice, and the employees (staff) are very polite and gives you a very good service.Except from the reception staff, knowledge to the englisk language could have been better a lot among the staff. We stayed in a deluxe room, and are very satisfied with everything. The cleaning was excellent, new towels every day,new bet-clothes every day, free beach towels etc.Bathing conditions in the sea was excellent too- both for grown up and for childre,-But- ouatbord motors among the bathing guests was sometime dangerous and there was one near by accident. This must improve. We will without doubt recomend the hotel to everybody -nice, quite, good service - we are already planning to return to the same hotel next year.Marit & Sturla Sørgaard - Norway."
Ed stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-01-12 and said, "Absolutely brilliant hotel. Stayed at a Deluxe II room. Beautiful, contemporary, styling. Very nice view over the sea from the balcony. Great service from the staff.Breakfast buffet was good as well.Would really recommend this to anybody in need of a true Thai hospitality experience. Will definitely return to Koh Chang and this hotel."
palomaki stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2008-01-02 and said, "We like this hotel (6 adults).Everything was clean. Whole hotel area is very beautiful."
Christel stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2007-12-23 and said, "very happy with the hotel (6 nights in dec 2007)De luxe room was ok and we can share it with our 3 children ! beach is nice and swimming pool too. there is a nice restaurant not fare from the hotel on the beach where you can go at night to change from hotel s restaurant. we use also the travel agency of the hotel too book a trip to cambodgia, to do elephant ride and boat...It was okHotel garden are nice and clean ...and thailand food is great"
Tommy stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2007-12-12 and said, "We stayed 5 days at Seaview and we had a pleasent time there. Very nice staff and the room-service was very good. Swimmingpool and beach was ok."
Geir stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2007-11-28 and said, "A great resort directly on a nice private beach. The breakfast is one of the best I ever had on a hotel in Thailand. We had a standard room, who is into one of the oldest buildings in the resort and this rooms need renovation. The room was clean and had a great sea view since we lived in the second floor! Minus about this resort is that you need transport to come to the nearest restaurant outside the resort area.. Kae Bae beach is just 2 minute drive away. Suggest guest to stay at this resort if they like to have a quite and nice resort a bit away from the other hotels and nightlifes! Have a nice holiday :)"
Jessika stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2007-11-18 and said, "I really must recommend this hotel to everyone! We really loved! We hv 2 kids in the age of 4 and 6 and we couldn t ask for more. The nice thing with the hotel was that if was both young couples, families and older people which made a good mix.THe atmosphere was very nice as well as the rooms, the beach that was nice and clean and felt really private. The pool was great too.The only thing that could hv been better was the service in the restaurants that was a bit too slow but the food was very good. This was almost like paradise!"
Rune stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2007-11-03 and said, "Very nice resort. If I go back to Koh Chang I will certainly return to this resort."
ali stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2007-07-31 and said, "the hotel is very very good"
Anton stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2007-07-16 and said, "Excellent resort, very calm, staff doing a very good job. Deluxe rooms are perfect, the standard and superior rooms are nice too. No animation or parties, wonderful! The breakfast buffet is very nice and rich, the dinner is a little boring. On low tide poor swimming in the sea, because of the corals."
Anna stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2007-04-28 and said, "Highly recommended. Nice resort, very well maintened. Great breakfast, beautiful pool and nice private beach. Family friendly resort and secured place for the kids to play (and therefore their parents to enjoy the beach as well....)"
Martin stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2007-03-06 and said, "very pleasant hotel. has own private beach but resort very hilly so beach to accomodation is a bit of a trek. away from the busy part of koh chang but everything within easy reach. we stayed in one of their bungalows, lovely view of the beach, sea and sunset. breakfast is a good standard. pool is nice and large. would return but on our trek around the island found a nice hotel called koh chang orchid very traditional thia style, so will try there next time."
Samuel stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2007-02-17 and said, "We are very pleased with Sea View, after one night on the first floor we asked to get a room on the second floor and as soon as one was vacant we moved up. Greater view. The breakfast was excellent. As on all beach resorts there is always a shortage of beach chairs, same here. The friendly staff at the Tour info booth was helpful, both with trip and rental car arrangement. Kopbun Kap."
Diane stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2007-02-10 and said, "Our family with 3 children, aged 8 months, 11 and 13 years, stayed here in February. Excellent hotel with a fine pool just by the nice beach so you can choose. We were all very happy with the good service to reasonable price."
Kenneth stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2006-12-04 and said, "A very nice resort with a large selection of activities, great swimmingpool and beach. Our room was large with a perfect seaview. Both the room and the rest of the hotel is nice, clean and well preserved. The staff is nice and very helpfull, but there is a lack of organization, especially in the restaurant. However the food is delicious and the breakfast is outstanding. The location is ok if you don t mind driving 5-10 min. to get to a town, but then again you really don t have to go anywhere the hotel have it all.The tourcounter just outside the reception can arrange any excursion you want sailing, snorkeling, jungletrekking etc.It is definitely a top range resort, which I without a doubt will recommend to anybody asking for my opinion."
Ross stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2006-11-20 and said, "This is a very, very nice resort built on a beautiful area next to the beach. The service was prompt, friendly and helpful. And all the other guests seemed to be satisfied too. We had a superior room, not far from the lobby with an interesting detachment from the bathroom so you had to go outside a bit to use it, but it was fine. One thing however, this place seemed a little reserved, more oriented for older couples or families. It s not the ideal place for people looking to party hard."
Gerard stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2006-08-14 and said, "Second stay at the hotel. Brought some friends this time. Lobby has improved since last year and the breakfast buffet is now indoors. Staff still very helpful. Beach still very clean. Perfect hotel if you look for a quiet and comfortable haven away from everything."
Veli-Matti stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2006-08-06 and said, "We had very nice short holiday. The room was nice the balcony directly to beach. Jacuzzi was also nice in the room."
Yosi stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2006-06-07 and said, "This is a very nice resort, situated on a beautiful beach. We (2 adults + 2 children) stayed in a deluxe room in the new building which was an excellent room, decorated tastefully and very spacious. Service in the hotel is good though English level can improve. Hotel restaurant is good with wide menu selection and relatively low prices.on the down side, the hotel is secluded and it is very hard to leave it by foot(steep climb) - the hotel provides transportation to the nearest village (kai bae) at 100B one way. The beach itself is beautiful with tide changed daily. The changing tide brings a lot of garbage to the beach which makes it almost impossible to go into the water - the hotel management puts a lot of effort in cleaning the beach daily but it is not enough. Bottom line - this resort is ideal for couples on a romantic vacation. Going there with small children can be a little problematic due to lack of activities (only swimming pool which is very nice). I would certainly go back there but this time with my wife alone."
Kathryn stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2006-05-14 and said, "Travelled here with family, including elderly mother. Chose least expensive rooms, the bathrooms especially need updating, but can t beat the view. Treated courteosly and promptly by staff. End of busy season, not many people at hotel. Had the beautiful pool to ourselves. Restaurant food fair, breakfast simple but good. Quiet location, not a busy tourist place."
Lorraine stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2006-01-28 and said, "we had a deluxe cottage which was wonderfull very clean. grounds were beautifull and well looked after. resturant clean and food very good. swimming pool and beach pristine clean. wonderfull holiday beautifull resort.will definatley be going back there next year."
Monica stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2006-01-05 and said, "Its great hotel, clean, tidy, friendly, beautiful beach and surroundings. Great spa and massage facilities. Only negativ thing I can think of is the service at the restaurant. The staff there hardly speak english and so difficult to ask what something in the menu is. And we hardly never got out meals at the same time. But overal its a great hotel and great location. We absolutely would return!"
Mr.Jerry stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2006-01-01 and said, "We chose this hotel on the basis of the web site and the depiction of the cottages so were dissappointed to find that ours was smaller than expected and not,as had been promised, big enough for three. Otherwise we thought the hotel had some excellent features, a very attractive beach, good pool & beautiful gardens and although out of the main town, seemed to be better situated than the other local hotels. Despite taking an extra room we thought it was very reasonable."
Mr.George stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2005-12-31 and said, "Lovely location and well designed for rest and relaxation. Staff at hotel could use some improvement in customer service. While the food service at breakfast was self serve the tables were not cleared in a reasonable time and the staff seemed to not be supervised. At the only dinner we ate at the main dining room the service was slow and indifferent. Again it was a busy New Year weekend. The staff at the spa was terrific. This was good value for the money and the rooms were comfortable and always clean. The strange thing about the staff was that when you asked them to help or requested something they would hop to it; but they did not seem capable of anticipating your needs. all in all we would return; the physical location is to die for."
Karin stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2005-12-27 and said, "Seaview Resort is a great place if you are looking for a well developed hotel with your kids, away from the hectic activity of big resorts. Upon arrival the reception staff is very efficient with check-in procedures and all the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are well designed and spacious. In spite of the resort being fully booked, we never had the feeling of being crowded or overrun. On the negative side was the low service level in the restaurant and at he beach bar. Sometimes one had the feeling that the few waiters were doing their best not to be noticed. Communicating was difficult as only the staff at reception have a good command of the english language. The friendly smiles did not always compensate for misunderstandings. We would not hesitate to stay at the Seaview Resort in the future."
Christian stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2005-12-25 and said, "We have enjoyed our stay in Sea View Resort in Kho Chang. It s a quiet place, good service, the staff still kind, the room was simple with AC very clean, reasonnable prices. Good for family vacations. Bad points are the noise of workers doing hotel extention, language difficulties with waitresses in restaurant and for scuba divers or snorklers, the very bad condition of corals mainly distroyed on closest places by dynamite fishing. Some nice diving points are located in half an hour from cost.Basicaly, we keep a good opinion of the place."
Mr.Stephen stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2005-11-24 and said, "Booked a superior cottage but was very disappointed with the room. Very overpriced for what you got. We had to upgrade to a delux spa room because no other rooms were available. Again overpriced for what you got but a brilliant sea view. Staff tried very hard and were very friendly which is the norm in Thailand, but the overall organisation in the hotel was poor. The food was excelllent though. Difficult to get out of the hotel, until, that is, we found an alternative route via the beach. You need a torch. The hotel was not very helpful if you wanted to go out, you had to pay 100bht to get to the nearest village if you used their shuttle bus. They could offer that for free because the hotel is isolated.Koh Chang itself is beautiful and so far unspoiled and we would definitely visit again but would choose alternative accomodation. There is a wide choice of beautiful bungalows at cheaper rates along the coast."
Ron stayed at Sea View Resort & Spa on 2005-11-21 and said, "I was dissapointed in the delux bungalow very small and basic, no fly screens and generally poor (hardly delux). The room was crawling with large ants which extended to the bed. (Not only restricted to our bungalow)After a lot of disscusions was transfered to a delux room which was a 100% better. The resort is very nice probably one of the better on the island. The food is excellent and inexpensive although the breakfast could have been better. Unfortunately no bar to have a night cap and evening entertainment non existant . A 20 minute walk along the coast line to town became a bit of a pain, at low tide when the beach appeared the walk along the beach into town in the evenings was great (A torch needed)Overall not a bad place but do feel that the price of the rooms are excessive for the quallity and the general basic amenities supplied by the resort. If I returned to Koh Chang would try and find an alternative resort although i would stay at The Sea View if all else failed. We still had a wonderful time!!!!!"
