Barry stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2008-06-18 and said, "A very nice resort. The setting is tranquil with a great beach. The staff are friendly and attentive and the rooms are comfortable and clean. We had an enjoyable 5 day stay and will definitely go back again next year for a longer stay."
Kyle stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2008-03-22 and said, "A fantastic resort. We stayed in the vip one seaview deluxe rooms. The rooms were fairly big though we only had a partial view of the sea. As has been mentioned before, the breakfast buffet is excellent. The restaurant on the beach was also very good and inexpensive. We ate there every night of our trip. There is a minimart on site beside the restaurant and although the prices are more than a local 7/11 they were still cheap. The pool was fairly large and had a nice rock garden theme to it. The ocean and beach in front of the resort was excellent. Shallow, warm and sandy. Klong Prao beach has beautiful sunsets. The staff, from the management on down, were all nice and friendly. Really easy to joke around with them.I will definately be back."
Anna stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2008-02-22 and said, "We really enjoyed our stay at Klong Prao Resort. Relaxing atmosphere and very friendly staff. The rooms were nice and clean. Just perfect location by a fantastic beach. Restaurant was good, but they had difficulties with serving all of us (5 persons) at the same time. We gladly recommend this hotel to others!"
Benita stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2008-02-20 and said, "The hotel, the beach, surroundings the two rastaurants are all to be recommended. The one restaurant is only for brakfast with a wide variety of choices. The pool was the most appreciated by the kids, while we grownsups liked the river coming out into the ocean, when you could go into the stream, depending on high- or lowwater. The river was at the south on the beach. Two smaller restaurants was at the north on the beach, but you could easily take a pickup taxi bothways out by the road for between 20--100 baht towards f.ex. White Sand Beach, depending how long you were going, when going for dinner/shopping.We can highly recommend this Island and this hotel, but with one big minus - We swedes seems to really crowd this Island and totally take over this hotel. So go here soon, cause in a few years, this Island is not a small paradise anymore... They were building new hotels everywhere!"
Anne stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2008-02-16 and said, "This is a perfect place for kids. Cheap, interesting, friendly staff, nice pool. We had Seaview 2 rooms almost on the beach. The room was a little dark but big, clean and the bed good - you could find holes in towels and lined and it could be a hassle to get a pooltowel after 10 am. BUT we will be back and look forward to it."
ALBAREDE stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2008-02-06 and said, "We stayed in one of the 10 sea view bungalows (although there is a road between the sea and the bungalows)recently rebuilt and redecorated. They are beautiful, well furnished and have a nice terrace looking over the klong. The hotel is fine, the staff is kind and efficiant, the breakfast is good and has a lot to offer. The only thing which could be improved is the beach, where there are not enough sunbeds and umbrellas (the plastic umbrellas look really poor compared to the hotel standards)."
H. stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2008-02-03 and said, "It s a wonderfull resort, very nice staff en personnel, we enjoyed our stay and were very sorry that we had to leave. We surtenly can recommend this resort to anybody. We would like to come again."
Robert stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2008-01-28 and said, "Pretty satisifed overall with my stay. Nice beach and very good facilities. The pool is amazing! Had some bad experience with the restaurant however. Waited a long time for my girlfriends order and when asking for it we got the answer that we havent ordered? Sufficient to say we didn t go there to eat again..Not that much restaruant area and bars in the Klong Prao Area so if it s partying you are after stay at White sands..."
Barbro stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2008-01-28 and said, "I could warmly recommend this hotel if the reservation, made&confirmed 5 months earlier, should have been the case when we checked in. But we were sent to another hotel the first night, because they were full-booked!!! and when we checked-in again the next day, we got a room in another building than the one we had made in our reservation. So finally on our 3:rd night we got the room /VIP-1,that we should have had from the beginning. We asked for a compensation for all this inconvenience and got a extra night with a discount. So after all we had a good stay at a very good hotel, with a very fine breakfast and a friendly staff"
Lars stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2008-01-27 and said, "No doubt we relly enjoyed our stay at Koh Chang as well as Klong Prao Resort. Then room was clean and the hotel service OK. The only irritating issue was the complete chaos with sun-chairs. There were too little sun-chairs and many guests made reservation by leaving the towels on the sun-chairs over several days and nights. A much stricter system is necessary for a pleasant stay for all guests - not only a few."
Karl-Ola stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2008-01-27 and said, "The resort was nice and clean. Friendly and helpful staff. The food in the restaurant was tasteful. The poolarea was nice and clean and the resort was very closed to the beach. We can highly recommend this resort."
Peter stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2008-01-26 and said, "Klong Prao was beautiful. Service was really great. Staff was very friendly. We would highly recommend it to anyone. Our family had a great time. It is very family friendly. There were a few topless bathers on the beach, which it would have been nicer without those. That would be my only complaint. The resort itself was beautiful, the food really good, the atmosphere serene."
Kathryn stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2008-01-26 and said, "It was a wonderful place! And cheaper than most of the places around it. The food was good, the beach was clean, the rooms were comfortable, they were accomodating, and the resort was beautiful. It s also in a great location! Make sure you bring your reservation information as they don t seem to keep it on file themselves. I will come back in the future!"
Beatrice stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2008-01-24 and said, "It was just great! Very friendly staff! We will return to Klong Prao Resort next year!"
Anna stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2008-01-17 and said, "Very nice staff nad a wonderful hotel. We stayed close to the pool, and the children loved it. The beach just beside the pool. Breakfast was american and thai buffe. I will go back there again next time I go to Koh Chang."
Anne stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2007-12-22 and said, "Hotel was clean with friendly helpful staff. The gardens and beach area were well cared for and very pleasant. Food was good and it was easy to walk along the beach to try out other places."
Stacy stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2007-12-15 and said, "Hotel was lovely - with a great beach location at Klong Prao Beach. Hotel food was good. Staff were pleasant. We loved the breakfast buffet. The Standard room was a bit depressing - so we upgraded one level and found the room much nicer. Still simple - but with adequate lighting and AC. The Standard was dark, dank, and had a hole in the bathroom door."
Karl stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2007-11-11 and said, "Overall very nice. Quiet and peaceful surroundings. Breakfast very generous. Appreciated fridge (C room) and AC. Worked fine to prolong the stay but I could not understand why the rate was + 50% from the reservation made via Sawadee!!"
Lars stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2007-04-24 and said, "We stayed 2 persons in a VIP-3 room on the 2nd floor and were very satisfied with the facilities, the pool was very nice, but pool personnel could be more service minded reg. cushions and towels. Breakfast buffet was very good, but refill after 9.00 o clock was not always sufficient. Rating 4 of 5."
C stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2007-04-02 and said, "We liked the room at the seaside very much. The staff was very friendly en kind to us. Iff we will go back to Koh Chang one day, we will certain book there again and through sawadee. The restaurant was excelent. The breakfast-buffet good have some more european food, but it was good."
James stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2007-01-25 and said, "I stayed in C block. Excellent hotel, the toilet kept breaking, but was fixed quickly each time. Quiet area, right on uncrowded beach, a few restaurants nearby. Coast road had numerous pick up bus/taxi s for transport to other coastal area s. I would book here again."
J stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2007-01-25 and said, "Second time we stay at Klong Prao and it was a pleasure.Really nice place for kids, beach is wonderfull and the surroundings fine.Brakfast ok but the restaurang at the beach was a disaster ,we got food we had not ordered on two evenings and finally we gave up ! But we found a good restaurang after just 100 meters walk on the beach and that place had deliciuos food. But anyway i´ll recomend Klong Prao to my friends!"
Kristopher stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2007-01-23 and said, "Klong Prao was a relaxing place for families--especially with kids. Good swimming pool and beach. Staff were friendly and breakfasts were great. There were nearby restaurants for variety. However, there is still no other island quite like Phi Phi in my opinion. Charlie s was always our favorite there--but it was washed out by the tsunami."
Franco stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2006-12-19 and said, "Very nice resort."
Bev stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2006-11-01 and said, "This is a very clean and well managed hotel. We stayed in VIP 1 right on the beach. It was a good size room with a large bathroom and good balcony overlooking the beach and the swimming pool. My children stayed in the VIP3 room which was also a very good size. I would highly recommend the Thai massages on the beach and for roughly £4.00 for an hour its worth having one every day !! Koh Chang Island is very beautiful and generally unspoilt. The hotel offers a variety of good trips that are reasonably priced. If you prefer ask the hotel for a driver and combine your own trips. Breakfast was excellent with a huge variety. We only ate in the resturant once but, it was reasonably priced and offered a wide selection on food. If you are looking for a lively hotel with entertainment in the evening as well as banana boats and jet ski s during the day then dont go to Koh Chang. if you are looking for a quiet resort that offers value for money and beautiful beaches then Klong Prao Resort is recommended..."
Paul stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2006-06-01 and said, "Was in Room VIP2/ No.112 direct to pool and sea.Nice and big rooms with exellent sea view.Very beautyfull Pool and garden. However, it seems the Hotel has no management, no maintenance to any thing. The restaurant is for nothing. However other restaurants are very closed to the resort.Very nice location with nice Pool.Hotel urgent needs a real manager...and maintenance (doorlook, water outlet,ect.ect.)"
Keith stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2006-04-05 and said, "Great value for money - medium priced resort but better than average facilities. We had two large rooms in the VIP-1 Hotel , on ground floor and adjacent to the pool and the beach. Restaurant was good and not too overpriced but we also used a couple of restaurants a short walk down the beach ... The bungalows looked fine and almost all the building work we read about before is complete. 5 out of 5"
Yvonne stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2006-03-18 and said, "It is a very nice hotel. If you want exelent service and personal emploies it is the perfect place. It is clean, quite and they serve good meals."
Hodkinson stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2006-02-21 and said, "The hotel is situated in the middle of a long beach which shelves gently into the sea. It is a package-holiday resort with more than 120 rooms. The seaview chalets are large and pleasant but unfortunately a service road separates the accommodation from the beach. The hotel does not appear to be well managed, i.e. inadequate supply of beach towels, insufficient loungers, grubby plastic furniture in the restaurants. Not an experience to be repeated."
Monica stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2006-02-10 and said, "Lovely hotel, beatiful area, nice personal, good food, very good breakfast. We live on Vip 2, 10 meter from the beach.Recommended"
Tanya stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2006-01-22 and said, "The location of the hotel is fantastic. It s stunningly beautiful there. The room we stayed in was VIP2 and it was large and clean and I think we had the best view of all the rooms. Great. Would go back to this resort any time. There was a slight problem with lack of information. Anything you want know you have to ask for or find out yourself. There is no handy information book on the hotel. The only other minus is the food. The breakfast is not that great (part from the banana bread) and although the restaurant is fine for lunch, we preferred to have dinner elsewhere..."
David stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2006-01-22 and said, "Good stay, stunning beach and mountain /sea views. Well appointed clean rooms along with courteous staff. One inconvienience was we had to go out early to reserve our beach or pool lounge chairs because of limited supply. Great value for price."
Richard stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2005-12-27 and said, "two days here relaxing on the white sands beach EXCELLLLLLLENT!! rooms were new and clean, staff helpful and polite, a quiet resort ideal for families...would return again without doubt.....food very good"
Sigurlaug stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2005-12-23 and said, "An excellen resort, very good rooms. We stayed in the vip 1, and it was fantastic, located on the beach itself and a fantastic view. The staff was fantastic, the massages offered and the food was all very good as well. Laundry and service otherwise was just awesome. We really enjoyd our stay, and I really hope to visit the place again."
Lena stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2005-12-18 and said, "Very nice and clean hotel with extremely friendly staff. Good service and easy to book tours etc. Good resturant with very good food. The location of the hotel is also good, near to the beach, the waterfall klong plu and some elefantfarms. We can strongly recommend this resort, certainly a place you would like to come back to."
Mrs.Carina stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2005-11-12 and said, "We have had a wonderful time at Klong Prao resort and we will come back. The service, staff and food were great. It was the paradise we were looking for. We don t feel that we were disturbed by the constructions going on."
Orathai stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2005-07-03 and said, "Our first stay in this great resort 3. July 10 July 2005. Sorry to say that they should informed that the resort area looks like a big construction sight, and that the main entrance way was over flooded and impossible to walk on. We have book Building-E, Laguna view, double, twin on Sawadee.com but because of rebuilding of The Resorts was Building-E, Laguna view removed and under rebuilding, therefore we get Superior VIP-2, sea view, double to the same price as Building-E, Laguna view. The service, staff and food were great and a good Thai Food and Breakfast in the restaurants. But we will come back in July 2007."
Arnt-Sigve stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2005-06-25 and said, "My third stay in this great resort.sorry to say that they should informed that the resort area looks like a big construction sight, and that the main entrance way were overflooded and impossible to walk on... think this was my last stay here...."
Mr.P. stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2005-04-10 and said, "The Klong Prao resort was very nice, very good kitchen en staff. The beaches and cabins are very cosy en the resort is very beautiful decorated."
James stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2005-04-06 and said, "Amazing Beach. Amazing views. Amazing Island. Amazing pool. However, the nightly entertainment was less than stellar, and the food leaves a lot to be desired. The front desk staff were very nice, but the food staff seemed to care less. Also, they should include a shuttle to the airport for free. Will stay at a cheaper bungalow next time ( they are not listed on sawadee.com, but are plentiful on the island)"
Randy stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2005-03-30 and said, "We had a very pleasurable stay at the Klong Prao Resort. The resort was well laid out and had great amenities--especially the beautiful pool, peaceful and clean beach front, internet service, and mini-market. There are several accommodation choices available...we stayed in one of the A bungalows with the sea view. If you are looking for luxury, you might want to stay in one of the VIP rooms, but if you enjoy the feel of a small cabin, then the bungalows would be a good choice. Each morning we were treated to a nice breakfast (I hate to fuss but there was one thing that was a little difficult to handle...because it is an open-air dining area, the fruit especially attracted small insects...so I unfortunately avoided the fruit but everything else was ok). We ate at the other restaurant for dinner one of the evenings and had delicious meals. Also, the staff were very friendly! We would definitely stay at the Klong Prao Resort again."
Mr.Bertil stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2005-03-07 and said, "Beautifully situated on a long white sand beach with very nice garden the KLONG PRAO RESORT is the perfect place for anyone. The personal was very nice and helpful and we can sincerely recommend this nice Hotel for your next stay in Thailand."
Evy stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2005-02-01 and said, "It is a very nice hotel. I would recomend to pay a little more and get a B or C bungalow. It would be nice if there were a pub or something around the area."
LANDRA stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2005-01-16 and said, "Very nice room and bathroom with seaview. Very friendly and polite staff at front desk and a restaurant (not that one on the beach) Worth the money!"
Laurence stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2004-12-21 and said, "Much nicer than expected.Stayed extra seven nights. The VIP 1 rooms are excellent particularly those closest to the beach. The beach side restaurant is great and food is superb. Will definitely go again."
Glenni stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2004-12-05 and said, "We stayed in room VIP106.Excellent location right on beachfront. The room was in bad condition and the bathroom was smelly. The staff were very friendly but not so service minded in the restaurant. The breakfast was not so good and mostly cold. Coming home after a snorkling tour we found our room was overtaken by mosqitous. We had to change room to VIP2 without anycompensation."
Jessica stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2004-11-20 and said, "Very nice hotel, with very fiendly staff and a nice resturant Best rooms are in the vip building, right on the beach. Very good prices on everything, rooms, food and drinks. We hopefully will be back again! Thanks!"
Colin stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2004-11-20 and said, "Lovely pool and views. The rooms on the lower floor of VIP 1 smelled terribly, and the first room I was put in was infested with flying ants (nice view though...). Food ok. Beach great."
Mr.Ken stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2004-11-13 and said, "We stayed in V112 a superb room on the second floor overlooking the sea on 2 sides, could not fault it in any way. It was always kept very clean and tidy by the maids on a daily basis. The food at both restaurants was first class. All the staff worked very hard to keep the resort in excellent condition at all times. We would recommend the resort to anyone who wamts a quiet holiday in superb surroundings with really friendly staff right on the beach."
Mohsin stayed at Klong Prao Resort on 2004-11-05 and said, "I could not have picked a better place to spend my vacations. Excellent value for money. The staff was extremely kind and helpful and the layout of the resort was excellent with every room having a view. I d certainly go back there again and would recommend it to others."
