Jacqui stayed at Amari Emerald Cove Resort on 2006-06-18 and said, "Check in was very pleasant but when we were showed our room it was disapointing to find we were given a room facing a building site. When I asked if there were other rooms available ie: sea view because of the unpleasant view, we were told we d have to pay an upgrade charge of around £15 per night, very disapointing to say the least, and only 1 minute after being introduced to the room. We understand the upgrade charge in different curcumstances but to give guests a view of a building site when the occupancy was extremely low (approximately 8 couples seen around the hotel), then it s very hard to understand, a better attitude to guest happiness is needed. The view from our balcony also consisted of a very untidy area within the hotel grounds housing rubbish and/or scrap which should not have been visable. The staff overall were very helpful, but some staff within the breakfast resturant could be more professional. As for cleanliness, improvement is needed all around, the beach was not kept tidy (something always seen in other hotels of this standard, so no excuses) the seating in the breakfast resturant was very stained, tiny spiders and their webs in guest rooms.A lovely hotel with some extremely nice areas, but lots of frayed edges which need to be sorted out."
Marianne stayed at Amari Emerald Cove Resort on 2006-04-05 and said, "We had 2 rooms oceanview that were nicely done. The staff were very attentive, lovely and eager to please. I think the drinks were pricey and would recommend free water poolside instead of 70 baht each. Also a concierge or some front desk personnel that spoke English well would have been appreciated. Despite some language barriers, we cannot say enough positive comments about the entire resort staff. The new food service manager Armp is doing a terrific job and the Friday night cookout buffet was fantastic. We went to the spa twice for massages and the experience and staff were exquisite. I would highly recommend at least 1 visit. Breakfast buffets were scrumptious."
Martin stayed at Amari Emerald Cove Resort on 2005-11-21 and said, "This is a nice 5-Star hotel with luxury rooms (see the bathrooms!), a large pool + very attentive service. The spa is worth to go there more than once, only minus:the beach at the hotel could be better"
