Johannes stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2008-04-09 and said, "Nice place and the rooms are looking good and complete. No free internet and breakfast is poor."
Eefje stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2008-03-17 and said, "We enjoyed the resort with all its facilities and thus had a very pleasant stay. The Coconut restaurant offers excellent food for value and very friendly staff indeed. Indian restaurant and other places (7-eleven, laundry service, gift shops, icecream parlour, bars) in walking distance. Make sure to bring moskito repellent/net for the evening hours!"
Mr. stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2008-03-16 and said, "The resort was good but the staff was a bit unprofessional. The whole complex needs some maintenance. The upper pool area was great and the Cliff Bungalow had a nice sea view. The stairs up to the Cliff area was a bit dangerous. The best beach part of Kai Bae but not as good as for example Lonely Beach and Klong Prao Beach."
Mr stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2008-03-01 and said, "We stayed at the Cliff Beach Resort for 4 nights in March 2008.Our apartment was clean and tidy, the restaurant and food was very good, the buffet breakfast was excellent and really set you up for the day.The IMPORTANT aspect of the Cliff Beach was the staff, they were friendly, polite and nothing was to much trouble for them, the room service was quick and the laundry was returned promptly.I would recommend this resort to singles and families alike, it caters for all people in a caring and friendly way. However, I would add a word of caution to the more mature guest, when booking try to book a beach apartment, as some of the apartments are quiet a climb, although the resort offers a courtesy buggy but this finishes at 5.00pm, of course if you have a car you can drive down to reception and the restaurant. In conclusion, this is the place to stay when in Koh Chang, and do hire a power boat for the day to take you to the outlying islands and snorkel over the coral reefs, you can then ask the skipper to take you to another island for lunch on a remote and empty beach, ideal if you are on your honeymoon or just want to spend some quality time alone with your partner, just ask at reception and it will be all arranged for you, including the food.We hope that you enjoy yourself s as much as we did, our only regret that we did not have time to stay longer in this micro paradise."
Ronnie stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2008-02-26 and said, "I booked one of the Thai houses for a 2 night stay, the room was smaller and not what I expected, having looked at other empty houses which were larger I couldn t understand why we were put in the smaller one. The rooms are dated, tv reception was poor, bathroom window had no curtain, no tea and coffee, no safety box in the room, patio lighting was intermittent the only saving grace was the view, stunning, but not worth the money. The infinity pool was nice however the poolside bar was poorly stocked (beer and coke) and had no menu to call for snacks/food from the cafes in the resort below. I never ate in the hotel as experience has proved local restaurants are cheaper and better. I wouldn t stay here again at these prices, it doesn t represent value for money (baht 6000+ per night) and is in need of a facelift."
Wilhelm stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2008-02-04 and said, "The hotel is not good not bad.We had cliff house and not worth the price at all.The bed was bad and there was not a table with chairs to sit on.Balcony old and had to ask for parasol 3 times.Breadfast and beach was O.K.plenty off beds. For 4.300 Bath a day you can expect much more."
Robert stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2008-02-04 and said, "We spent 5 nights at the Cliff Beach Resort. More than any other place we have stayed at in Thailand, this one was exactly as advertised, or perhaps even better than advertised. We have three kids age 6, 4 & 4 and indeed the Gardenview easily slept 5 or 6. We didn t ask for any extra beds, but the hotel gave us extra mattresses and sheets. that was in addition to two couches which were day bed in size. The breakfast was slightly simple, but good quality. The coffee was terrible though. This property is directly on a beach. All matched the pictures and description. We were thoroughly pleased and will stay here again."
Becky stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2007-12-27 and said, "Lovely resort, stayed in a poolside suite, lovely large clean room with large balcony, sea view really quiet & peaceful. Staff were really nice. Location is perfect on the edge of Kai Bai village near lots of restaurants. The view from the cliff view pool is to die for truly spectacular. Trips organised from the hotel were expensive so book in the village."
Paul stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2007-12-26 and said, "A great reliable hotel in a good location on KaiBae Beach.Thai House Suites are definitely the way to go.813 had a great view over to the islands.Horizon pool and bar is spectacular just a short walk away.Massage service is great on beach.Food is OK but limited in variety and pricey so outside will give you more choices in the local town or take a taxi to White Sand or try Tantara at Nirvana resort(Bang Bao)!!!Great!!Generally find it hard to beat this place for the price and location .Will stay again..A shame about the mini putt-putt disappearing behind reception. The New Years Dinner could have been better organised unlike a previous visit I had.Would recommend booking outside boat trips from agencies outside the hotel with bigger boats rather than the hotels speed boats unless you want to pay the high prices. All up a great holiday!!!"
Christophe stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2007-12-10 and said, "Hotel was ok altough not in a quality I was expecting. Thai house was ok, nice view but not very clean. Bathroom was not like we expected at all. (pictures are not actual). Breakfeast was a good surprise, nice and quality. To be frank, I was dissapointed for the money we spend. The hotel needs to be refreshed and maintained. (swimming pool is nice but not well maintained). Stunning view"
OlTr stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2007-10-30 and said, "Nice and comfortable accomodation. Large rooms, nice and clean. Nicely kept area. Two pool areas, one at about 30 meters above sea level with a beautiful view.Only 1 minute walk to Kai Bae village with restaurants, internet, laundry, etc.Extremely friendly staff. We spent two weeks at KCCB with two small children and had a very good time."
)EXCELLENT PLACE TO BEE. I appreciated the tranquility of the Cliff Beach Room (sea View at least room 605 - 608). Breakfeast was correct (could have been better especially with bread: only toast). Service at restaurant for breakfast and diner was ok but could improve in professionalismis but people were nice. Room furniture (shower buttons, lights not working,..) were not working 100% but ok ! We had only few mosquitos during that period.Beach was great and easy to swin (no rif, no tide influence, enough room on beach with enough sunbed & umbrella). Would definitivelly return again"
Andy stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2007-02-21 and said, "First of all if you enjoy tranquil localities then avoid at all costs White Sand Beach on Koh Chiang. We alomst booked a place on the beach there but chose Cliff Beach. Staff are friendly we booked a cliff view suite bur got bumped up to a Thai House. Excelent views across the bay from all Cliff View rooms. If you can afford it go for them. The breakfast is OK restaurant is deserted in the evening because Kai Bai town has loads of cheap restaurants with the same choice of food at a 1/3 of the price. The resort is at the beginning of looking run down and needs a serious shine up soon to justify the price´s it charges. There is a really great pool on the top of the cliffs overlooking the bay."
Martin stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2007-01-15 and said, "This is a nice and rather small resort. We stayed in a Garden View Suite which was very spacious, with two big rooms and a big bathroom. We were happy with the room, but if you are looking for a 5-star hotel you should look elsewhere. For example, the air condition was very loud. Fortunately we didn t need it at night. The beach is nice, with lots of comfortable chairs (no need to reserve a chair at 7am). The water was clear (except on a very windy day) and it was possible to go swimming all day, even at low tide. Be careful in the evening because there may be nasty sandflies. There are two swimming pools, a smaller one mainly for the kids (and sometimes a little dirty) and the bigger pool on top of the hill which is really great. The restaurant is good but there are many other (and cheaper) places within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly come back."
Sarah stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2007-01-05 and said, "Hotel was nice. Cliffside pool was fantastic and so quiet. Stayed in a Cliff side room and this was good with a lovely view - although the deckchairs were a bit of a surprise on the balcony - the pictures all show sun loungers. Not as comfortable thats for sure. Only ate at the restaurant at some lunchtimes - nobody seemed to go to it in the evenings at all or use the bar - meant that the resort does not have much atmosphere. I found the breakfast fine."
Andre stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2006-02-14 and said, "Great and typical Thaihotel under Thaimanagement. If you like to stay here make sure you take a Thaihouse dont expect to much from Breakfastbuffet (it s ok ;-) BEST CLIFF VIEW with super SUNSET. They just build a extra large Pool (25m x 10m)on the top of the Cliff, with a spectacular view over the ocean."
Karen stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2006-01-30 and said, "Very Nice resort! We stayed in a garden suite. Close to beach and restaurant. Highly recommend visiting the new pool on clifftop. Beautiful view! Only disappointment - we were expecting lock box in room but it was not there. Staff very friendly! We would return."
Ragnhild stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2006-01-27 and said, "cliff Beach hotel is a very nice resort with its own beach. I can really recomend it."
Fam.Claes stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2005-12-26 and said, "Good basic food, nice location and very nice views. Rooms just ok. Service friendly but just ok. Very nice new pool and some new rooms, long walk though. A bit unprofessional overall and too basic for the price you pay. Feels run down. Renovations needed of walking paths and generally. Simple but good activity center incl. a super good boat ride day out."
Luigi stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2005-12-22 and said, "Great location next to a quiet and clean beach but not a favourite! The compulsary Christmas dinner was an overpriced rip-off with a poor selection of food."
Mr.Reidar stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2005-12-11 and said, "nice little hotel with wonderful sea view, especially from the thai-houseNr. 814 and very fiendly stuffyou find shops and restaurants nearbya very good place for a restful holiday"
Mette stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2005-12-03 and said, "Great place, friendly service. The beach is fine, the water had a visibility of only 3 metres (beginning of December), but the corals are beautiful with some fish and many live corals. Great for snorkeling but you have to dive to 4 metres to enjoy the scenery. We rented a car - which was cheap - but a monster to drive. Try and get a small car, a truck is not much use if you just want to explore the island. All in all a great experience that we recommend. If you take a hotel taxi to Bangkok airport, make sure that the price is agred with all costs. We had an unpleasant discussion over motorway fees with the driver.Jørgen Læssøe & Mette Marie Ladegaard."
Bengt stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2005-10-29 and said, "We enjoyed our stay in the Garden view suite. The staff was super, helpful and friendly. They let our kids play with their kittens. The beach was quiet, somethimes to quiet. The kids loved the pool, which was clean. We enjoyed our stay and - if return to Ko Chang - will defenitely stay there again."
Jan stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2005-03-29 and said, "We enjoyed our stay at cliff beach, the beach was quiet and beautiful, with perfect position for the sunset. Rooms were clean and pretty basic but all the same no complaints. food in restaurant was ok but got cheaper and better down the road. Only complaint is the laundry, managed to ruin 4 shirts by bleaching them....would def stay there again"
Mr.Bengt stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2005-03-21 and said, "We were very happy with our stay in the Garden view suite. The cliff rooms were to high up and inconvient for old people. The staff were good and friendly and and it was a very quite and beutiful place. Nice rooms. The breakfasts were ok but could be improved. A very beutiful hotel garden. We really injoyed our 2 weeks there and would like to come back at a later date. B. Sundberg Sweden"
Gunilla stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2005-02-05 and said, "Very nice place with high comfort . We lived in a Cliff Beach suite with a great view over the sea. The only problem was that the personal was not very good at english so problems did occur because of that. Clean and nice swimming pool and an ok. restaurant."
Mr.Keith stayed at Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort on 2004-12-17 and said, "Cliff Beach Resort is a great resort, with a beautiful setting on an awesome island. Highly recommended."
