Reuben stayed at Barali Beach Resort on 2008-02-26 and said, "I would not recommend this hotel. The grounds are nice, but not worth the price. The rooms are OK, but again not worth the price. The staff were horribly inattentive. The bathroom was dirty, and the hot water didn t work for the first three days of my stay, despite my complaints to the front desk. I asked to speak to a manager who never got back to me. Overall I would not stay here again or recommend anyone stay here."
Burkhard stayed at Barali Beach Resort on 2007-04-16 and said, "A nice , quite place. But the security is not good. Three bungalows missed after one evening mobilephones, a watch and money. If you stay there, please use the safes at the front desk."
Henrik stayed at Barali Beach Resort on 2007-03-27 and said, "Nice location right at the beach. Very nice architecture, style of the bungalows. The hotel had a just opened spa with excellent massage! Service was friendly but with lots of misunderstandings due to the poor command of english among the personell. Nice pool with a wonderful view of the sea and the mountains! Two problems though: the resturant was expensive and not very good. The beach was not as nice as we had hoped for. Not crystal clear water and with lots of stones and pebbles, not as soft as we would have liked."
Suzanne stayed at Barali Beach Resort on 2006-04-25 and said, "Accomodation:Very nice rooms that have good facilities and very clean. Beach and poolarea is great. Really made the effort with the pool area and surroundinggardens. Restaurant and reception areas are in need of fans. Free internetaccess would be nice. Accomodation at half the price offers free internet.Food:Breakfast was just acceptable. Some problems need sorting (eg: ants andmosquitos in jam, running out of food and cutlery when faced with 10 or moreguests in restaurant). We had one lunch and one evening meal in the restaurant. Both meals were bythe far the worst we had on the island. The wrong meals arrived, they werepoor quality and very expensive. Service was shocking. I would advise peopleto stay there but not eat in the restaurant. My advice for eating is O2restaurant at Khai Bae, 15 Palms at White Sand and the Italian at WhiteSand. Grab a moped for 150 baht per day and try the places on the beach atWhite Sand."
Andrea stayed at Barali Beach Resort on 2006-02-27 and said, "The Barali Beach Resort is ideal for a quiet relaxing holiday. We stayed in a Deluxe villa which was very clean and well furnished, with a good sized balcony and a beautiful bathroom. The pool area and gardens were well maintained and there were always enough sunbeds by the pool or on the beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful although their English was sometimes limited. The hotel restaurant was okay and was reasonably priced but there are many other alternatives a short walk along the beach or on the main road (500m). The other resorts are only a short ride away if you wish to experience more lively nightlife. There was no evidence of any building work going on while we were there."
Sheila stayed at Barali Beach Resort on 2005-12-15 and said, "We had a wonderful and relaxing holiday. Deluxe bungalows excellent, very tastefully decorated with teak furniture, including a 4 poster bed with mosquito net and an unusual sunken bath/shower area. There is a beautiful white and sandy beach very close to the hotel. Food at the hotel was good but service sometimes painfully slow and hard work at times getting a drink. However, there are several other good restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance. Hotel staff and everyone in the village were very friendly and eager to please the tourists. There is some construction work going on in the lobby area but this didn’t interfere with us at all. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a quiet holiday."
Torstein stayed at Barali Beach Resort on 2005-10-24 and said, "Vi har vært på Koh Chang og Barali Beach Resort i 5 netter.
Michael stayed at Barali Beach Resort on 2005-09-11 and said, "The Barali Beach Resort is a nice place with some contructions going on. These were however not disturbing at the time I was there. At arrival in Sept 2005 It was hard to find the lobby for check in because it was not existing. They are just building a new lobby and placed the check in in one of the bungalows. The very friendly staff welcomed us with a drink but they didn t know about the specials which they offered in sawadee.com (Free upgrade, free transport to pier). After some argue we were (free) upgraded to the Ocean Deluxe Villa with private safe. The bugalows are generally build to close to eachother. They were in good condition and clean. I missed I table and two chairs IN the bungalow. You could sit a little unconfortable outside on the veranda on wood-chairs, but when it starts raining the roof is not covering the veranda. We moved the wood chairs inside. The bathroom was ok. The double bed was fantastic. Food in the Hotel-Restaurant was good. The service was always friendly. The pool was just like in the internet. When there will be more guest it will be however be too small. White Sands Beach is NOT in walking distance but there is some open air cooking and drinking around. I wouldn t call them restaurants. We wanted to go swimming in the ocean but the sand under your feet reaches not very far and gets rocky. My girlfried Sue was loving the various beautiful flowers and plants around the bungalows. There were only a few guests when I was there and it was quiet - just what I was looking for. If you want really first class or action you should go somewhere else. This is what I call 1B class. All in all I must say that this resort was worth the 2400 THB but only with free upgrade to Ocean deluxe Villa. Disturbing was the dense building structure of bungalows and the small wet veranda."
Greg stayed at Barali Beach Resort on 2005-06-25 and said, "excellent stay here , the staff were really nice and helpful, the rooms themselves were beautiful and the whole place was great cant speak highly enough, its in a nice quiet location as well. The breakfasts arnt great but its exactly the same as any resort or hotel american breakfast you are going to get in thailand and i find them all a bit dodgy anyway. This resort is great , highly recommended !"
Lynn stayed at Barali Beach Resort on 2005-05-01 and said, "Hotel room was exactly as pictured on the website. The room was very relaxing and quite comfortable. Loved the outdoor shower. Pool and beach were awesome! Staff at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating. One example of this was the transfer from the hotel to the Trat airport. Since we left early(before breakfast)the staff had a boxed breakfast prepared for us...this was very nice and quite unexpected. Staff at the restaurant/pool area were OK. Breakfast buffet was good but not extensive. This is a great place for a getaway!"
Emma stayed at Barali Beach Resort on 2005-03-28 and said, "Hotel very nice, rooms clean and as described. Pool area and beach lovely, and staff happy and welcoming. Would definitely recommend for couples. Only 1 dissapointment, we booked to go there because of the spa, which they dont actually have."
Carole stayed at Barali Beach Resort on 2005-03-24 and said, "Stayed in a deluxe bungalow, very pleased with cleanliness and facilities in room (sunken bath/shower, fridge, good sized bed etc). Beautiful location, next to the beach, large swimming pool. Very quiet location and so if nightlife is your thing this would not be the resort for you."
Mrs stayed at Barali Beach Resort on 2005-02-23 and said, "We had a wonderful relaxing holiday in a beautiful bungalow here (4 poster bed, teak floors and interesting shower/sunken bath!), a short stroll to the infinity swimming pool and right on a brilliant white sandy beach. Set in gorgeous tropical gardens with palms and other exotic foliage. Breakfasts and food good although restaurant could perhaps do with more atmosphere in the evenings. However, there are many other restaurants and bars within walking distance and White Sands is an easy ride away by baht bus."
Robert stayed at Barali Beach Resort on 2004-09-05 and said, "The hotel itself is located in calm and nice suroundings perfect for couples who wish to spend quality time together. The fact that guests have their own bungalows witch are airconditioned and have the essential neccesities such as refrigerator, sunk down tub, tv etc was a bonus. However during our 11 day visit we payed three different prices for the same bungalow and the price did not go down (which would be the logic way). For us, this was a sad ending to a great stay."
Lam stayed at Barali Beach Resort on 2004-08-15 and said, "Good & beautiful resort.but the staff needs to introduce the facilities and any sea activities to the client"
