Jim stayed at River Kwai Resotel on 2008-01-21 and said, "We booked a 3 day/2 night trip on the River Kwai, with Sawadee.com, over the internet. Sawadee were excellent in answering pre-booking queries, and we were collected from our Bangkok hotel, exactly as planned. My wife and I both regard the whole trip as a bargain. We thoroughly enjoyed the visits to the Bridge over the River Kwai, and museum, but the real treat was the two night stay, with excursions, at the Resotel. Although the hotel sometimes got a bit busy at mealtimes, generally speaking the resort was quiet and peaceful, and travelling everywhere by boat was exciting. The staff and guides at the hotel were mostly Burmese (from the nearby Mon village), and they are superb people, always willing to help. What a wonderful contrast to Bangkok, yet most visitors will never see it. We will definitely go back, and try to stay at least one night on the rafts, which were fully booked when we were there."
Patrizia stayed at River Kwai Resotel on 2007-12-03 and said, "Location splendida. Immersi nella giungla dove il mezzo di trasporto preferito e la long tail boat sul fiume. Bungalow pulitissimi e spaziosi. Per le signore: portate l asciugacapelli... La notte rinfresca quindi un maglioncino di cotone non guasta (ovviamente nel periodo in cui sono andata io). I pasti sono molto semplici ma buoni. Lo staff รจ gentilissimo e l assistenza e ottima. Lo consiglio per riprendersi dallo stress italiano.."
Amber stayed at River Kwai Resotel on 2007-05-06 and said, "We have just done the 3day/2night tour option to the Resotel. It was fantastic. We aren t normally in to tours but this one had the right mix of activities and free time. The resort itself is very unique. The bungalows are quite basic but are very nice. The buffet lunch and dinner was good with plenty of variety. Breakfast was ok. I think 3 days here is enough as the resort is very isolated. Would recommend it to everyone."
Douglas stayed at River Kwai Resotel on 2007-01-08 and said, "A nice time to be had and well organized. I found the hotel routine to be too rigid and structured. We upgraded our room to deluxe accommodations. The room was not clean. The restaurant dining area was also dirty with obvious signs of dusty spider webs everywhere. The staff was very friendly and offered assistance when they could."
Sharon stayed at River Kwai Resotel on 2006-11-15 and said, "We had wanted to stay at the River Kwai Jungle Rafts, but there was a problem with the booking and Sawadee.com kindly offered us a room (private bungalow) at River Kwai Resotel instead. We were a bit disappointed at first, but when we arrived our disappointment turned to joy. Our stay at River Kwai Resotel was truly lovely. The bungalows are very private, the views are beautiful, the staff ultra friendly and helpful and the tranquility of the setting was delightful. Our only complaint was that the tranquility was broken in the evenings by music (not loud) from the restaurant / bar. We would have preferred the silence of the jungle, but we understand that some people prefer drinking and dancing when they are on holiday. We highly recommend the River Kwai Resotel to anyone thinking of spending some time in the Kanchanaburi region of Thailand."
Teodoro stayed at River Kwai Resotel on 2006-07-30 and said, "the travel in the deathtrain is really a fantastic trip in a old wooden train through the jungle and the views to the river are really great. The hotel is located about 100km away from Kanchanabury in the middle of the jungle, so it is a imazing sensation. The Hotel is beautifull and the pool is great too.The bungalos are big and confortable. You must go and enjoy this special place."

Dennis stayed at River Kwai Resotel on 2006-04-03 and said, "I thoroughly enjoyed both the tour and River Kwai Resotel. Everything was well planned and carried out by Sawadee Travel, their guides and the Resotel hotel staff. The Hotel is well located and the individual cabins are very comfortable. I would recommend a visit to this part of Thailand."
Mrs stayed at River Kwai Resotel on 2006-03-11 and said, "Our family of five ( including 3 young children - didnt see any other families) took a tour package NC302 a great way of seeing the major sites. Tour carried out with clockwork precision on the hour. Our first night was at the Jungle Rafts - great for one night. Food good, great spot ,the staff however definately didnt come from the land of smiles. Although we were all glad of the experience wouldnt spend more nights there as little to do - not much privacy or quiet. All rooms open out to the passage way - and as it was hot and dark - every one roams past and looks in. Second night at the Resotel - from the reviews we expected more, so were disappointed. Food was not as good as in Jungle rafts, pool small and the water didnt seem to be recircluated, however staff were friendlier. The current is very strong so couldnt really swim at both places. Nice setting but wouldnt return. Would recommend the package to others as a good way of seeing the local tourist attractions ex Bangkok)"
Jack stayed at River Kwai Resotel on 2005-11-01 and said, "The hotel achieves a remarkable balance between jungle ambience and tourist comfort."
Mr.Thomas stayed at River Kwai Resotel on 2005-08-29 and said, "During my stay in Thailand, I decided to go and visit the River Kwae Bridge. In the afternoon, I took the train from Kanchanaburi to Nam Tok through beautiful landscapes and arrived in Nam Tok at dawn. The boat from the hotel picked us up from the peer and drove us to the hotel. What a wonderful nightly cruise! We were very warmly welcomed. Our cottage on the river side was very comfortable. The cooking was excellent and the spa foot massage in the morning unforgettable."
Stephanie stayed at River Kwai Resotel on 2005-06-23 and said, "This was my second visit at the River Kwai Resotel - the first time in February 2003 and as I enjoyed my stay then, I decided to visit Resotel again - this time for the two-night package. The accommodation and hotel setting are perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed the entire package. The staff were extremely pleasant, caring and helpful and I look forward to visiting the Resotel again - hopefully in the not too distant future!"
Mr.Tony stayed at River Kwai Resotel on 2005-04-03 and said, "We had a fantastic time at the Resotel. The staff were extremely friendly and the rooms were very well appointed for the price. Mon tribal dancing in the evening is highly recommended, as is the elephant treks."
Anais stayed at River Kwai Resotel on 2004-11-20 and said, "Fun hotel.Boat rides a delight.Beds very hard.Make sure you request a bungalow, they re the most interesting."
Nicola stayed at River Kwai Resotel on 2004-02-14 and said, "We had a great trip to the River Kwai. Our tour leader on the bus, Mr. Boon was one of a kind, a real gem!! The hotel itself was in a beautiful location with fantastic views. The bungalow was nice with a nice big bathroom. Our tour leader at the resort, Klaimitr was excellent. The tours were interesting and the tranfers were well orchestrated."
John stayed at River Kwai Resotel on 2003-12-28 and said, "Service was excellent but hotel is very remote so you are sort of captive to what the hotel has to offer. Food was mediocre but reasonably priced. Hotel manager was excellent at arranging non-standard excursions (Kanchanburi JEATH musuem, River Kwai Bridge and Death Railway.) C-O-L-D showers!! Not a luxury resort but clean and comfortable (except for the showers.) Would not stay more than 1 or 2 nights due to limited activities offered at the hotel. Great for sitting back and doing nothing. Floatel upriver from the resort was pretty cool to visit and have a few beers and is run by the same outfit but they charge 300 baht for long tail transfers between the two which are only a kilometer or so apart - this should be complimentary."
