Pichaya stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2008-05-17 and said, "Very satisfied. Clean and nice room. Friendly staff. Good service. Excellent breakfast (buffet). What a shame that we had no time to use the hotel s two swimming pools. Maybe, next time."
Dan stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2008-05-03 and said, "This hotel was a very nice hotel if you are looking for a place to go to relax. Each bungalow has a glass front that you can see the beautiful landscaping they have done. It is a short walk to the beach. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again."
Haug stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2008-03-17 and said, "We truly enjoyed our stay. We loved our little hut, the pool and the lush green surroundings and felt very comfortabel. The staff was fantastic and we really loved the little laid back restaurant with great local food. Our children (aged 1 and 7) really enjoyed it and seemed to be the hit among the staff. We truly recommend this place. The beach is within easy walking distance and quite nice."
Jari stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2008-03-15 and said, "This is a place for us: very cosy, excellent service, cute bungalows which all surround big enough pools (there s two pools). Ie. if you are keen on 5 star Hilton or other American playground for stinky rich people, this is not for you. If you want peace, green gardens, personal service and place like your own summer cottage , this is for you.Location is good, 200m to the beach, 200m to the good steak restaurant (Papa John s steak house). To the store and shopping areas you ll have to take a tuktuk, but it s 100-150bht (2-3 euros). The resort area is lush green and very good place for families with small children ..and the rest of us too:). Only minus is a breakfast. It s cold american buffet with 3 kinds of eggs, bacon and sausage with white bread. Breakfast is served outside. And if you want to eat dinner in the duangkaew, don t...food is ok, but the restaurant is not. Go to Takiab Village, it s full of small genuine Thai restaurants.Overall a very good value for money - go there!!"
Thomas stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2008-03-15 and said, "We ve stayed at Baan Duangkaew many times and have never had a bad stay. Love the two swimming pools and bungalows in a tropic, floral setting. Although this hotel is not on the beach, nor can you see the beach from the hotel, the beach is a short walk from the hotel. Such a relaxing environment! Friendly, kind staff and good restaurant on site."
Antony stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2008-02-25 and said, "This is a really great place to stay - the individual cabins are well very comfortable and quiet. Enjoyed staying in this hotel very much. Would certainly go back. Staff were at all times helpful and pleasant. Nice pool too. Great location - a little walk from the beach"
Kate stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2007-10-14 and said, "Great value for the money, very helpful friendly staff, beautiful garden setting with two lovely pools. The rooms were spacious, pleasant and clean - all overlooking pools. No problem getting into town - highly recomend for families, though pools not fenced off. For best massage in town walk to the end of the street and straight opposite on Petchakasem road you will see a small house with sign for massage and taxi service. Hua Hin is a great place."
Ralf stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2007-09-24 and said, "Very nice hotel on a very quiet romantic place, very friendly and helpfuly staff. The hotel is not at the beach, but this is no problem, because the beach of HuaHin are/is not nice ... rent a motocycle and drive from the hotel to a other beach in the south (15min) ..."
Yangke stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2007-08-17 and said, "we 4 rooms in fact stayed 4 ights, this hotel is very well.but little far from city.staff in that hotel are kind and give the best service.when we were hurt by the fish, they send us to the hospital very soon,I will introduce this hotel to my friends"
E stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2007-08-14 and said, "Excellent place. Nice, quiet and a short walk to the beach. A short ride with the tuk-tuk to Hua Hin city.I ll stay here again when in Hua Hin."
Anthony stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2007-08-05 and said, "Very nice. The location is good, just out of town to make it quiet but only a 100-Baht tuk-tuk ride from the busy areas. It s a very leafy place.Very tranquil and relaxing and the trees provide nice shade. The bungalows were nice and roomy and very clean. However, the showers were poor,no water pressure and either scalding hot or ice cold with no indication when it would be one or the other! The staff were very helpful and the little restaurant offered great lunches and dinners at a reasonable price. The breakfast was the same every day,a bit boring."
Amanda stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2007-07-30 and said, "I loved Baan Duangkaew Resort, it is intimate and cosy with approximately 30 bungalows on the grounds each of them gorgeously decorated and surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Each bungalow either faces or backs on to one of the 2 swimming pools on the grounds. The staff were extremely helpfull and friendly and speak English very well. I appreciated the ability to relax by the pool of the resort at the end of a one month holiday travelling around Thailand and can honestly say that this was the best resort in it s price range."
Stephen stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2007-07-13 and said, "Located a few klm s south of Huahin this small resort is really nice. The rooms are great, nice pools, friendly staff. Very good choice for a romantic stay. Quiet and comfortably. Free internet is good. Staff are friendly. Breakfasts are a little oordinary, but included so order extras. I highly recommend this place. Will come back again."
maria stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2007-06-04 and said, "The Resort was pretty, the bedroom/bathroom comfortable and clean. The Staff were efficient and extremely polite. American Breakfast was served. For the price we paid, it was perfect."
Göte stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2007-05-18 and said, "Our best rekomendations, the staf friendly and helpful, the bungalows big and kleen, the garden orund the bungalows vell treated ,the two pools clean and nice but not so big. The beace 100 meters down the street wery fine and the hotel served with sunumbrella ond chears. We will come back. Göte Jönsson and his family."
Coral stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2007-05-06 and said, "excellent resortwill come back again service & staff very good swimming pools kept excellent. breakfast could improve, and provide coffe & tea making facility in room. would recommend."
Pauline stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2007-02-25 and said, "Spent our last 2 nights of a touring holiday in Thailand at this resort, wish it could have been longer. A beautiful setting, just outside Hua Hin itself (free bus to town centre morning and evening)and just a few minutes walk from long, quiet part of beach (with great massage/reflexology) lovely indiviual bungalow with balcony which overlooked pool and well kept grounds.Wouldn t hesitate to return to Baan Duangkaew, staff friendly and attentive, owner arranged a pick up from train station when we phoned to say we were delayed and didn t arrive until after midnight, well done and thank you, much appreciated after a long hot day travelling!"
Dennis stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2007-01-20 and said, "Highly recomended; really beautiful rooms, facility, and great staff. Will definitely return, can t say enough about the place."
Anthony stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2006-12-31 and said, "Hotel is very good, the service excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. As I have a car there was no problem with the hotel being located away from the centre of Hua Hin in fact I see that as an advantage. Bikes were available free of charge and we made good use of them and no problem riding on the roads. We liked their idea of the library where we could read the local English newspapers and generally relax. I will certainly go back there again."
David stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2006-11-18 and said, "Every bit as good as the photos on the web site. Staff were really nice and went out of their way to be helpful. The location is a bit out of town (free taxi into Hua-hun at night - 100Bht in a TukTuk back) and about 10 mins on a bycicle from the hotel to the best beach . Tip hotel offer free bycicle loan, out of the resort up to the main road, turn left and cycle down the road for about 8 mins until you see the Blue Wave hotel on the left, turn left the beach is at the end of the road. its flat most of the way so an easy ride. There are a few restaurants and bars in walking distance of the resort on the main road. The resaurant at the resort is also worth trying and not expensive.Hua-hin is good at night, night markets and some great places to eat. We pick the cheap slightly tatty looking places that are full of Thai locals - 2 beers, 3 main dishes, 2 portions of rice around 350 Bht and great food. The hotel have a free access internet PC behind reception, useful for staying in touch with family back home."
Trudy stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2006-11-03 and said, "Wonderful place to stay. Staff very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Bungalows lovely and clean, each one very private due to lush foilage surrounding each unit. Both pools beautifully kept, lovely place to relax with a book.Wonderful restaurant at resort open from 7am to 9pm great food and lovely staff. Very cheap. Twice daily a shuttle to Hua Hin free of charge approx 5 mins. Would not hesitate to come back glad we stayed here and not in Hua Hin as it was so peaceful. Would recommend to anyone."
Duchene stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2006-09-25 and said, "Very nice hotel , it looks more like individual small Thai bungalow. Very quiet place, not too far from downtown. If you have your own computer, internet is included in the price of the room. A little problem with hot water, but 5 min after everything was all right. Very nice service."
Tanja stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2006-09-24 and said, "I was very pleased with the resort. Nice staff, everything worked smoothly. I liked the small bungalows. The exotic garden was green and leafy with different trees and flowers. The pool was clean, close to the bungalow. I was surprised the area of the resort was so small. The moste negative thing was the disturbing noise from the neighbouring house/restaurant (?) (loud music most nights) and traffic outside the resort from early morning, even if it was not the mainstreet to Khao Takiab. The walk to the beach was short and no big deal. All in all I am very pleased and would not hesitate to use it again!"
Shelly stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2006-09-11 and said, "Fantastic accommodations. Quiet, great little restaurant (but breakfast was kind of lacking in imagination) and superb staff. Great little swimming pool and comfortable, very clean little cottage."
Eileen stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2006-07-20 and said, "The hotel is very quiet and good value for money. It is around 100 meters from the beach. The staff are pleasant, though they did not have very good english. Disappointed with the beaches in Huahin. Sand is Yellow and water not clean. The facilities of the hotel is a bit basic, though overall the stay was pleasant."
Andrew stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2006-06-02 and said, "We had a very nice stay during the Hua Hin Jazz Festival. The room was nice and well appointed. There were two small drawbacks. First there is some new construction in the immediate area which caused some congestion but suprisingly little noise or dust but we had to walk past it to get to the beach. Second the beach is maybe 200-300 meters from the Resort. The staff was helpful and friendly and helped us with a reliable taxi service and an excellent restaurant recommendation for Khun Green s seafood restaurant. All in all a good value for 1/2 the price of a comparable beachfront resort."
Miss stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2006-03-08 and said, "Bungalows were wonderful. Approx 20 Thai bunaglows set around 2 swimming pools and in lush gardens. Very short walk to the beach. Rooms were very clean with nice little touches. Staff were very helpful and arranged various trips for us. Complimentary shuttle into town and beach, also to Elephant Village. Only downside was building of new hotel next door, which although we didn t have to look at, we did hear on most days. However, this will soon be finished and it in no way spoiled our stay there. Beautiful surroundings and I would not hesitate returning there or recommending. In my opinion much better than a chain hotel, where once inside, you could be anywhere in the world."
E. stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2006-02-20 and said, "beautiful hotel, very good and helpful staff, excellent breakfasts, lovely grounds and swimming pool. short tuk-tuk ride to shops and restaurants in Hua-hin. beaches close by."
J.Neumann stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2005-11-27 and said, "This is a very special place. Nice, quiet and the staff most outstanding. Only 24 Chalets in circles arround two swimmingpools. Lots of Flowers, trees and other greenery. We stayed 23 days/nights and even than felt sorry to leave. We can only recommend the resport. Good Value for money."
Sherri stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2005-11-08 and said, "Loved the Baan Duangkaew Resort. Serenity...in the heart of nature. Walking distance to Chopstick Hill. Great little bungalows. Clean and private. Great atmosphere. Exactly like web site descriped. I would stay here again! Very romantic."
Mr.Frank stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2005-10-08 and said, "best in the area relexd and very beautifull garden and pool (breakfast better then last year"
Mr.Frank stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2005-10-08 and said, "good resort verry good service breakfast better then last year"
Ulrich stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2005-10-03 and said, "Very nice big bungalows in a beautiful, quiet garden with pool. Breakfast is poor (not a big buffet like in a hotel)5 kilometers away from noisy Hua-Hin center. Twice a day 11 am and 18 pm a free shuttle. Beach: not so beautiful: many jelly fishes. A nice walk at the beach to the big buddha.Beside the resort: the huts of the poor workers."
Brigitte stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2005-09-29 and said, "Absolutly nice area. Further from the center, close to the beach. You get a chair and an umbrella at the beach any time you want. Two times a day a free transfer to the center. Friendly staff. I enjoyed it so much und gonna come again next year with friends."
Michelle stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2005-09-22 and said, "Beautiful place, with immaculate bungalows with verandahs overlooking lovely gardens and blue swimming pool. The breakfast was nice but the restaurant generally did good Thai and not so good Western. The place is 7km from the town of Hua Hin which means it is nice and quiet and the beach, which is 100m down the road, is sparsely populated and beautiful. This is not really a problem as there is a free ride to town at 11am and 6pm daily, so you can still do the night market and shopping thing. But if you are the sort of person who shops more than relaxes and goes to the beach, it won t be the place for you. Overall I would strongly recommend this place and would stay there again if I went back."
Robert stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2005-06-24 and said, "Very nice, clean bungalow in beautiful garden surrounding small swimming pools. Not on the beach but only about 400m walk down quiet street. Breakfast was OK but didn t eat any other meals there as the seafood in town is too good! Staff all semmed very pleasant. Would definitely stay again."
Mr.Stephen stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2005-06-07 and said, "Great place for a couple to spend a few days together. Friendly helpful staff,2 good swimming pools and very nice gardens. The bungalows are modern and very clean. Recommended."
Mrs.Sandra stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2005-05-14 and said, "The bungalows were really good, they were let down by the quality of their restaurant. The pool was small but very clean. The beach is a dream"
Linda stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2005-02-25 and said, "a really luxurious place to stay. individual thai style bungalows but with all the modern conveniences. spacious, roomy, great service, nothing was too much trouble, walk off our balconey straight into the swimming pool or a short walk to a beautiful beach. Location was a little isolated but if you want a calm relaxing holiday this is the place. Free transfers are available to the town and other beaches at several times during the day if you a different scene. one tip try the Lets Sea restaurant about 600 mts away on the sea front, beautiful food, romantic setting and you must visit the loos (they are brilliant). One complaint the TV had only 1 english station out of 40 and that was eurosport asia, no films, no news."
Mike stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2005-01-31 and said, "Baan Talay DaoWe stayed in one of the Studios in February and had a great holiday.A lovely place to unwind. The food was good and dining right next to the sea was superb. The views were realy quite magnificent with a very tall golden statue of Buddah at the end of the bay. The staff were all very helpful and the free shuttle bus to Hua Hin was an added incentive to stay here. It was also easy to get a taxi or Tuk-Tuk from just otside the hotel.A short walk along the beach leads you to some nice restraunts one called Lets-Sea was really worth the short walk. The tide comes right up to the sea wall infront of the hotel leaving a beautiful clean beach to swim or walk to other places of interest. The rooms are very comfortable and quite spacious as was the bathroom and always cleaned to a very high standard. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room were an added bonus as was the fridge to store cool drinks. It was lovely to have our own varanda where we could sit outside enjoying the views and to appreciate the lush tropical gardens."
Dolly stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2004-12-18 and said, "Nice resort - the bungalows were great, and the gardens and swimming pools were quite relaxing. The in-room, free Internet connection was a very nice touch."
Zoe stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2004-11-22 and said, "REALLY RELAXING RESORT, WOULD DEFINITELY GO AGAIN, YOU CAN WALK TO THE BEACH, THERES A REALLY NICE BAR/ RESTAURANT NEARBY CALLED LETS SEA . THERES A THAI STYLE BUS THAT TAKE YOU INTO HUA HIN TOWN EVERY NIGHT AT 6PM FROM THE RESORT IF YOU WANT TO GO, AND TO HUA HIN BEACH EVERY DAY AT 11AM, OR YOU CAN JUST RELAX BY THE POOL. THE ONLY THING I THINK COULD VE BEEN BETTER WAS THE RESTAURANT AREA AT NIGHT.EVERYHING ELSE WAS PERFECT."
Neo stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2004-11-10 and said, "It s a wonderful resort, peaceful and serene environment. Excellent for rest and recovery trips. The very polite and courteous staff makes me feel comfortable and very much at home. The resort should take note of the arrival date and time of guests for the transfer service. The transfer service that I have booked came 2 hours after I called to enquire about the service after landing at BIA.However, the very warm welcome exhibited by the staff upon my arrival soon quelled the frustrations from the transfer service."
Mr.Frank stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2004-09-04 and said, "super resort super staff best you can get in the area.there is one man named udon he helps you whith everything if you want relax and rest go there"
Gillian stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2004-06-12 and said, "We only could have only nice things to say about this resort. Peaceful, quiet area, beautiful gardens and setting. From the bungalow just few steps to the pool. Very well appointed, new fridge, quiet working airconditioning. Spent many a happy hour on our balcony enjoying a cold glass of wine and the occasional downpour of rain! Just a short walk down the lane to the beach and on request the staff will have an umbrella and lounges waiting there for you free of charge. Free shuttle to the town a couple of times a day only about 5kms and easily walked to along the beach. All and all a friendly peaceful place to visit without a frenzy of tourists everywhere. Highly recommended to be included on any Thailand holiday."
CHUA stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2004-04-08 and said, "Very nice resort with lovely gardens, and two nice swimming pools and only 16 bungalows, suitable for family and couples. Spacious & comfortable room, large, king-sized bed which was very comfortable, and outside balcony with pool side garden views. Could improve in the room bathroom setting by adding a roof and an exhaust fan, as one of the member using the similar room might be a smoker. And to added an additional layer of the curtains to keep the morning sun out before one decide to get up especially after a late night. Overall is excellent resort to be at. Staff are lovely, cheerful and very helpful. We had problem with our hot water heater, they came back twice to get it fix almost immediately after the call for HELP. Staff at the resort do not push on making guest go for their recommended excursion to places of interest by hard selling it. Which is an A 1 grading for them. Hua Hin must gets it domestic airport in operation again, as Hau Hin is a nice and lovely holiday resort to visit. Travelling by international flights arriving at BKK International Airport would not like to travel for another few hours on the road rather than just about 30 minutes to 2.5 hours of travelling time ( one way ). Further more when leaving the resort, more time can be spend before leaving. Knowing Thailand traffic situation at times. Overall I will recommend friends and those who are checking out a good budget holdiay with comfortable and penny worth to stay at the Bann Duangkaew Resort. Will be back there soon to see all the freindly staff even for now we still have get there by courting travelling HOURS."
Ms.Virginia stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2004-04-04 and said, "Absolutely fabulous. Beautiful room in serene surroundings. Two lovely swimming pools. Excellent breakfast. The staff were delightful.Short walk to a very sandy beach with clear water ... too hot to sunbathe."
Mr.Guthertz stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2004-03-03 and said, "WHAT CAN I SAY .....EVERING THING WAS PERFECT...VERY CALM AS WE EXPECTED...VERY CLEAN ..EVERY ONE WAS HELPFUL AND KIND ...AT THE RESTAURANT WE HAD EXCELLENT SERVICE THEY WERE VERY GOOD...GO THERE...I WOULD GO BACK AS SOON AS I CANJACQUES FROM FRANCE"
Rachael stayed at Baan Duangkaew Resort on 2004-01-18 and said, "Baan Duangkaew lived up to everything we were expecting. Our bunglow was a stones throw away from the beautiful pool which looked equally as stunning when the sun went down. Very helpful and friendly staff. 2 minute tuk tuk to hua hin centre.Maid service every day.All in all a wonderful place to spend a honeymoon. We would definitley visit again and would recommend it to family and friends without hesitation.Thankyou for a lovely stay."
